It's easy to trade and share inventory items in Second Life.
Give something to someone nearby
- Open your Inventory by clicking the Inventory button at the bottom of your screen.
- Find the item you want to give someone, and drag it from your inventory onto the other Resident's avatar.
- If they accept your offer, you will receive a confirmation pop-up note in the lower-right of your screen.
Give something to someone in your Calling Cards folder
Note: If the other Resident is not online, they will receive your offer request next time they log in. At that time, they may choose to accept or decline your offer. |
Give something to someone without their calling card
- Open the Search window by clicking the Search button at the bottom of your screen.
- Click the People tab and enter the name of the Resident to whom you would like to send an object. Click his name in the search results in order to open his profile.
- Open your Inventory by clicking the Inventory button at the bottom of your screen.
- Drag the item you wish to send from your Inventory window to the area on the Resident's profile marked Drop inventory item here.
- If they accept your offer, you will receive a confirmation pop-up note in the lower-right of your screen.
