| Hi, I'm Tessa Wycliffe, and I've been in Second Life for about a year now.

|
| I came to Second Life seeking some entertainment, a bit of camaraderie with others like myself, to meet interesting people from all over the world, and to learn a thing or two. Like a lot of women, I guess I got all caught up in shopping, and within six months I had "invested" a ton of real, live money into Second Life, buying up clothing and accessories, vehicles of all shapes and purposes and sizes, weapons of all kinds, costumes and accessories for role playing, building and scripting tools, and more.

| Yes, I went nuts. And now I'm paying for it (my credit card company really really loves me, and my husband is just a bit frustrated with me).

| |
| So now I've calmed down a bit and spend much less, and hope to even make a few dollars here and there with things I make and sell. Not to strike it rich, but just to pay my way in this world, is my goal. Most of all, I'm learning how to build things just for the sheer fun of building things that work: weapons, vehicles, structures, clothing, skins and shapes and animations. I don't know yet in which area I'll specialize, because it's hard to choose when there's so many fun things to do here in SL. But I know the worst thing to do is to try to do everything, so I will eventually pick one (or two) area(s) to specialize in, and stick with them.

| I do know one thing: despite its shortcomings, not only technically but in the way people interact with others and the SL world, Second Life is something very, very special to me. And I hope to be here for a long time.
