- [12:02] Georgette Whitfield: Awww ok
- [12:02] Georgette Whitfield: accepted your inventory offer.
- [12:02] Georgette Whitfield: Yay!
- [12:02] Bridie Linden: :)
- [12:02] Georgette Whitfield: Thanks Alexa and Bridie
- [12:02] Cummere Mayo: pouts "why is it only linden bears people want? I mean resident bears can be cute too!"
- [12:02] Samantha Poindexter: giggles.
- [12:02] Georgette Whitfield: lol yes Cummere
- [12:02] Georgette Whitfield: You got a beat too?
- [12:02] Bridie Linden: has started her Resi Bear collection
- [12:03] Georgette Whitfield: *bear
- [12:03] Georgette Whitfield: Awwww
- [12:03] Nya Linden: should we start?
- [12:03] Nya Linden: [1]
- [12:03] Cummere Mayo: as a matter of fact no. but i do have a cat *giggles*(
- [12:03] Georgette Whitfield: Me too! heheh
- [12:03] Alexa Linden: test
- [12:03] Squirrel Wood: fail
- [12:03] Alexa Linden: :(
- [12:04] Squirrel Wood: /ao off
- [12:04] Bridie Linden: Aric Linden is still otherwise occupied...
- [12:04] Bridie Linden: so...
- [12:04] Nya Linden: Okay. First off: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-3801
- [12:04] Bridie Linden: looks @ Nya
- [12:04] Bridie Linden: :)
- [12:04] Squirrel Wood: otherwise.... 24/7 tele tubbies ?
- [12:06] Bridie Linden: /This is an old one...
- [12:06] Nya Linden: shall we import?
- [12:06] Cummere Mayo: seems still not solved though
- [12:06] Alexa Linden: viewer?
- [12:07] Nya Linden: sounds viewer to me.
- [12:07] Cummere Mayo: i vote import
- [12:07] Nya Linden: ok import viewer.
- [12:07] Alexa Linden: k
- [12:07] Nya Linden: next: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-1740
- [12:08] Bridie Linden: So really a language issue? interesting... (3801)
- [12:08] Georgette Whitfield: Sorry what does import viewer mean?
- [12:09] Harleen Gretzky: yes, same viewer, different language, some languages work others do not
- [12:09] Gellan Glenelg: hmm. only change since last triage is alexa's comment (VWR-1740)
- [12:09] Alexa Linden: it means we are bringing to our internal jira
- [12:09] Alexa Linden: and we are putting in viewer related issues
- [12:09] Georgette Whitfield: Ah ok thanks
- [12:09] Alexa Linden: :)
- [12:09] Bridie Linden: I think resolve 1740 as Need More info, try w/1.20, etc...
- [12:10] Alexa Linden: k
- [12:10] Cummere Mayo: i hink this actually ties into a similar server related issue too
- [12:10] Nya Linden: next... https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-1571
- [12:11] Alexa Linden: dup of VWR-7198?
- [12:11] Squirrel Wood: 1740: observed: client eats up the swap file over time. I have once seen it use 1GB of my swapfile. and then the graphics would hang while it was wildly swapping in and out as you turn the camera.
- [12:11] Alexa Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-7198
- [12:11] Squirrel Wood: and that with over 1 GB ram free
- [12:12] Alexa Linden: and 7198 is imported
- [12:12] Nya Linden: squirrel: nice. Would you mind putting that in the bug?
- [12:12] Squirrel Wood: willdo
- [12:13] Bridie Linden: doesn't know enough about coalesced objects, but they do sound similar
- [12:13] Nya Linden: 7198 should be fix pending.
- [12:14] Bridie Linden: right Nya
- [12:14] Bridie Linden: Let's ask internally if this could be same root issue?
- [12:14] Harleen Gretzky: 7198 is if there are Linden plants involved, this seems to not let you ever rez teh colased objects aagain if you go over 1024 scripts
- [12:14] Cummere Mayo: yeah i think its related but not enough info to tell if its the same thing
- [12:14] Samantha Poindexter: Sounds like two seperate issues? Unless there's a rule unless rezzing more than 1024 scripted objects on a given parcel at once...
- [12:14] Gellan Glenelg: sounds like it could be a different issue, to me
- [12:15] Nya Linden: lets import, assign to QA Team for repro to see if the fix for DEV-15215 fixes it.
- [12:15] Alexa Linden: looking for another coalesced
- [12:15] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:15] Nya Linden: passes the buck to QA. :)
- [12:15] Samantha Poindexter: The Linden plant thing is because you're not allowed to rez Linden plants on other people's property. That doesn't apply in the case at hand...
- [12:15] Samantha Poindexter: Fair enough. :-)
- [12:15] Nya Linden: neeeext: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-8337
- [12:16] Cummere Mayo: import Ive heard of this happeig to others. though ask where he logs into. that might be a factor
- [12:17] Cummere Mayo: but this sounds almsot likethe svc one i put in
- [12:18] Bridie Linden: From comments: 'ok... I could not help but play with it some more, and I think I found the problem. Zone Alarm. All the time I mentioned that it worked before, I had it running with no problems. But it appears, after a bit, zone alarm would block something. What I have no clue. I don't have it set to block anything really.
- I will work with it for a couple days turned off... and see if it returns... the ticket will remain open in the mean time.'
- [12:18] Bridie Linden: Mark w/Last Triaged and move on?
- [12:18] Cummere Mayo: im not convinced its zone alarm. my firewall si pretty similar and i dont have it killing anything
- [12:19] Alexa Linden: can do?
- [12:19] Squirrel Wood: ZA is known for causing problems with applications
- [12:19] Squirrel Wood: especially after updates and such
- [12:19] Bridie Linden: is not familiar w/ ZA
- [12:19] Cummere Mayo: shrugs "yeah and ask if he can keep us updated
- [12:19] Squirrel Wood: or even out of the blue.
- [12:19] Bridie Linden: nods
- [12:20] Cummere Mayo: might reecamend if zonealrm IS the issue, that he try AVG isntead. its free, similar, and a bit more stable
- [12:20] Nya Linden: yep. next: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-5949
- [12:20] Samantha Poindexter: Or Avast! Also free, seems to work. :-)
- [12:21] Cummere Mayo: well people are still ahving the issue since last triage,
- [12:21] Cummere Mayo: time to import
- [12:22] Ellla McMahon: that could be a 64 bit issue
- [12:22] Cummere Mayo: but not everyoen having it is on the 64
- [12:22] Cummere Mayo: theres allot of xp users
- [12:23] Ellla McMahon: I wonder if its the size of cache issue that was talked about in BSI
- [12:23] Cummere Mayo: probably not
- [12:23] Cummere Mayo: differant error usually happens for that
- [12:24] Cummere Mayo: one that says "out of disk space on drive #:" or similar
- [12:24] Cummere Mayo: I vote import for this one
- [12:25] Alexa Linden: bridie?
- [12:25] Bridie Linden: 64bit?
- [12:25] Cummere Mayo: its not just 64 bits
- [12:26] Cummere Mayo: its reported by xp users. xp doesnt have a 64 bti mode
- [12:26] Bridie Linden: Do we have enough to go on?
- [12:26] Cummere Mayo: I think at least to give a start
- [12:26] Bridie Linden: can hear our devs asking us for repro steps in her head...
- [12:27] Nya Linden: yeah. I'm not sure how we can repro this. thinking.
- [12:27] Harleen Gretzky: CAn we get those having teh issue to attach some crash reports, see if there is any constants among them?
- [12:28] Bridie Linden: And, if possible, get more details about what they're doing when it happens? other apps running?
- [12:28] Cummere Mayo: if their crashing that often the devs should be able to pull some of theirs
- [12:28] Cummere Mayo: read thrid from bottom comemtn bridie
- [12:28] Alexa Linden: I can ask for reports
- [12:28] Alexa Linden: and what else they are doing...programs running...
- [12:29] Cummere Mayo: "stripping off all other proccesses in xp: etc etc
- [12:29] Nya Linden: +1 Harleen. Alexa, should we suggest a naming scheme, as we are asking for reports from multiple users?
- [12:29] Nya Linden: or is that unnecessary?
- [12:29] Alexa Linden: will do - name your crash report to your name
- [12:30] Alexa Linden: well ya, then we can tie the report to their machines if the posted enviros
- [12:30] Nya Linden: kk. wasn't sure if the enviro would be in all the logs.
- [12:30] Nya Linden: next!
- [12:30] Nya Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-7957
- [12:32] Cummere Mayo: are those cards supported?
- [12:33] Harleen Gretzky: Are these drivers supported since they are beta?
- [12:33] Squirrel Wood: points
- [12:33] Samantha Poindexter: "the mandatory driver for GTX260 & GTX280 cards also share this same bug as far as can be seen."
- [12:33] Cummere Mayo: they aint all betas harleen
- [12:33] Cummere Mayo: its mandatory on two fo the cards
- [12:34] Squirrel Wood: gtx 280 here with latest drivers. non certified
- [12:34] Squirrel Wood: rebaking fixes.
- [12:36] Georgette Whitfield: Did I crash?
- [12:36] Squirrel Wood: Nope
- [12:36] Georgette Whitfield: lol it just went all quiet
- [12:36] Georgette Whitfield: Everyone thinking
- [12:36] Cummere Mayo: suggest try rebaking and if that doest work roll back?
- [12:37] Bridie Linden: Is that an old card or newer card?
- [12:37] Squirrel Wood: gtx 260/280 is nvidias latest generation of cards
- [12:37] Samantha Poindexter: A few of them specifically say rebaking didn't work for them.
- [12:37] Bridie Linden: Let's import
- [12:37] Georgette Whitfield: Someone says they've tried different driver combos too
- [12:37] Alexa Linden: viewer?
- [12:37] Georgette Whitfield: It's a real smelly bug that one
- [12:38] Cummere Mayo: probably alexa
- [12:38] Squirrel Wood: the gtx280 performs not much better with SL than my old 7950GT... but I do get thrice the frame rates in almost all other games :p
- [12:39] Nya Linden: import and I'll see if we can get one of those cards in house.
- [12:39] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:39] Cummere Mayo: I've been able to repo the next one
- [12:39] Nya Linden: next up: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-2616
- [12:39] Cummere Mayo: yesterday in fact><
- [12:40] Nya Linden: Alexa - on 7957 when you import, could you please assign to QA Team with a note that we should order the GTX280, as it's the most recent card?
- [12:41] Alexa Linden: will do Nya
- [12:41] Squirrel Wood: and also, get a logitech mx5500 keyboard... the display on it is not supported by sl but the G15 one is.
- [12:41] Bridie Linden: Looks like bau was making his/her own meta issue?
- [12:42] Bridie Linden: Should SVC-2616 be a server issue?
- [12:43] Cummere Mayo: probaby
- [12:43] Cummere Mayo: but you might want to ask andrew
- [12:43] Cummere Mayo: or whoever does graphics
- [12:43] Cummere Mayo: on objects
- [12:45] Nya Linden: so.. import, core..?
- [12:45] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:45] Bridie Linden: nods
- [12:45] Cummere Mayo: votes yes
- [12:45] Cummere Mayo: already looking at next
- [12:45] Nya Linden: ok. https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-8517
- [12:46] Georgette Whitfield: That one made me llaugh
- [12:46] Nya Linden: turn other prim eye upside down?
- [12:46] Nya Linden: :)
- [12:46] Georgette Whitfield: *laugh
- [12:46] Harleen Gretzky: Tried SVC-2616 on 1.18.5.3 with my alt, fails in that viewer also
- [12:46] Bridie Linden: holy long enviro batman
- [12:46] Bridie Linden: Microsoft Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 (Build 2600)
- [12:46] Cummere Mayo: ild suggest trying that first aye
- [12:46] Cummere Mayo: ((pun intended))
- [12:46] Georgette Whitfield: hehe
- [12:47] Georgette Whitfield: I didn't know there were such a thing as prim eyes
- [12:47] Georgette Whitfield: Prim boobs I knew about
- [12:47] Cummere Mayo: ]furrys often have them
- [12:47] Georgette Whitfield: Oh yeah and tinies I gues
- [12:47] Georgette Whitfield: *guess
- [12:48] Nya Linden: so.. perhaps we suggest editing eyes to turn one upside down.. and if not, please provide environ from About, and a link to where we could get the eyes for repro sake?
- [12:48] Georgette Whitfield: I'd love to see a demo of that sounds cool
- [12:48] Samantha Poindexter: Sounds like more of a product failure than an SL issue, though I could be wrong...
- [12:48] Nya Linden: +1 Samantha.
- [12:48] Georgette Whitfield: Depends if it worked before new release
- [12:48] Georgette Whitfield: Did it always do this
- [12:48] Samantha Poindexter: ...a fair point. But there's no version indicated.
- [12:49] Cummere Mayo: +1 for georgeette
- [12:49] Bridie Linden: let's ask for more info
- [12:49] Harleen Gretzky: Environment is in the text file, it was originally huge and McCabe put it in the text file instead
- [12:49] Alexa Linden: huge is right :P
- [12:49] Nya Linden: I looked through the environment and although it has a lot of good info, I don't think it has everything we need..?
- [12:49] Alexa Linden: I'll mark as NMI
- [12:49] Alexa Linden: get the correct enviro
- [12:49] Alexa Linden: ask about eyes.. did they work before, etc
- [12:50] Cummere Mayo: ok on to the pants issue?
- [12:50] Nya Linden: sounds good Alexa.
- [12:50] Georgette Whitfield: Pants hehe
- [12:50] Nya Linden: pants!
- [12:50] Nya Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-7483
- [12:50] Nya Linden: totally pants.
- [12:50] Cummere Mayo: really has to resist the urge to say soemthign rather crude cuase of her dirty mind
- [12:50] Georgette Whitfield: snorts
- [12:50] Alexa Linden: I wonder if she has the prim eyes I have now
- [12:50] Squirrel Wood: I have had that leg/pants problem
- [12:50] Alexa Linden: which don't really move the same way
- [12:50] Georgette Whitfield: Maybe that's why their eyes are rolling
- [12:51] Squirrel Wood: was annoying. cause rebake would fail on it
- [12:51] Georgette Whitfield: All these pants going about
- [12:51] Ellla McMahon: some of this is duplicating https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-7957 the drivers and some cards
- [12:53] Cummere Mayo: but this issue doesnt always related to them
- [12:53] Cummere Mayo: i think its worthy of importing on its own, and notign it might relate to tohers at times
- [12:53] Bridie Linden: I was able to fix mine, you might have the same success as well, I can't tell what drivers the original poster is using.. but in my case it turns out it was the Nvidia Display Drivers version 177.66 that were causing it.
- '
- [12:53] Alexa Linden: I get it on both my home and work machines at times
- [12:54] Alexa Linden: but I can't repro it
- [12:54] Squirrel Wood: I'm on the 177.79 drivers
- [12:54] Alexa Linden: it's very random
- [12:54] Squirrel Wood: not had it happen yet with those
- [12:54] Cummere Mayo: its not able to constantly repo for me eihter
- [12:54] Bridie Linden: would like to see screen captures
- [12:54] Cummere Mayo: *shrugs* ould suggest an easy workaroudn though....
- [12:54] Cummere Mayo: Dont wear pants *runs*
- [12:54] Georgette Whitfield: Heheh
- [12:54] Samantha Poindexter: giggles.
- [12:54] Bridie Linden: lol
- [12:55] Bridie Linden: import and relate to other nvidia issues
- [12:55] Cummere Mayo: hey coem on ive been good. i deserve my moment of perv
- [12:55] Bridie Linden: suggests...
- [12:55] Alexa Linden: k
- [12:55] Cummere Mayo: *nods*
- [12:55] Cummere Mayo: one more?
- [12:56] Samantha Poindexter: Actually, could I prevail upon y'all for a specific one?
- [12:56] Nya Linden: yep. https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-2611
- [12:56] Nya Linden: doh.
- [12:56] Nya Linden: which one Samantha?
- [12:56] Samantha Poindexter: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-270
- [12:56] Samantha Poindexter: I think it was imported ages ago, but hasn't been heard from since...
- [12:57] Nya Linden: Alexa, on 2611, we should import for QA Team to repro.
- [12:57] Cummere Mayo: i agree with nya and
- [12:57] Cummere Mayo: i jsut repoed 270
- [12:57] Nya Linden: although 2611 sounds like a dup...
- [12:58] Nya Linden: on 270...
- [12:58] Nya Linden: import core?
- [12:59] Cummere Mayo: 270 was impoted and to us non LL looks like never addressed
- [12:59] Cummere Mayo: i dotn think reimporting would do any good
- [13:00] Georgette Whitfield: afk 2 mins
- [13:00] Bridie Linden: We addressed w/revamped Search project...
- [13:01] Cummere Mayo: this still is broke
- [13:01] Nya Linden: looks like there is another internal bug for this. Dev-3586
- [13:01] Harleen Gretzky: The workaround is to use Sll Search filtered to Events category
- [13:01] Harleen Gretzky: *All
- [13:01] Nya Linden: let's relink to DEV-3586.
- [13:01] Samantha Poindexter: With due respect, using the combined search to find events doesnn't really work very well.
- [13:01] Cummere Mayo: ho is this one assigned to internally?
- [13:01] Cummere Mayo: *who
- [13:02] Samantha Poindexter: The results are all jumbled up, rather than chronological, for starters.
- [13:02] Nya Linden: it is currently in a list of issues for our user experience team to fix.
- [13:02] Alexa Linden: ok
- [13:02] Cummere Mayo: sighs
- [13:02] Cummere Mayo: thsi ones been sitting there almsot a year before it was imported and almsot another year without being fixed.
- [13:03] Alexa Linden: I think that's it for today
- [13:03] Bridie Linden: Thanks everyone!
- [13:03] Nya Linden: thanks all!
- [13:03] Samantha Poindexter: Thank you!
- [13:03] Cummere Mayo: yw:)
- [13:03] Bridie Linden: We appreciate your help (and patience)
- [13:03] Alexa Linden: Thank you all for coming and all your help and sage advice :D
