Image Banner Signatures
In the section about signatures, there is an example for using a linked image banner. No matter what I try, I can't get the forums to accept an 'img' tag, though -- even copy/pasting the example exactly gives the same "Invalid Signature" error... What am I missing? - Laurie Stilman on 2010, May 18 @ 3:36 AM PST
Featured Content
It might be a good idea to add a description of "Featured Content" if anyone knows what is "Featured Content" (asked without answer in http://blogs.secondlife.com/message/207995#207995). - Irene Muni on 2010, May 15 @ 1:07 AM PST
New Product feeds & List your products
Since there is no place to actually post a new product, I'm assuming these are taken from when a new product is created on Xstreet. Is that right? Also, why is the List your products category talked about in the forum rules, yet there is no such category? - Medhue Simoni on 2009-09-10 @ 9:30 PM PST
- More details please? Link to feed so I can be sure what you're referring to? - Torley on 2009-09-15 @ 2:22 PM PST
Color scheme
How do I change the color scheme? Light green on white hurts my eyes on this monitor. DanielRavenNest Noe 15:23, 11 September 2009 (UTC)
- At this current time we don't have an easy way. You could Greasemonkey it, but really, that clashing has hurt our eyes too, and styling bugs have been reported. So, maybe we just need to fix that color scheme. - Torley on 2009-09-10 @ 9:37 AM PST
Opera workaround
For possible inclusion in the FAQ.
Q: I use Opera for my web browser and I am unable to respond to posts (or make new ones)
A: The Vleartype software used does not like Opera... to be able to post you must edit Operas site preferences and "Mask as Firefox"
Right click the page > Edit Site preferences > Network tab > then pick Mask as Firefox for Browser Identification. The blogs will work just fine afterward.
NOTE: most alternative browsers will have a way to fake the User Agent please consult your browsers help files.

- That's a great suggestion! I'll add it. Thanks Johnnie! - Torley on 2009-09-10 @ 3:54 PM PST
How can someone Report a post in the new Xstreet forums?
I'm having enough difficulty just finding a specific post, let alone a specific reply to it... but somewhere in there, I saw someone asking how to Report a post that violates the guidelines, and can't find it now. This would be a great place to enlighten us on that! Nemesis Greatrex 15:21, 11 September 2009 (UTC)
- This should be easier! I'll ask our moderation gurus. - Torley on 2009-09-15 @ 8:19 AM PST
- Five months later, the only way we know for report a thread is contact with Lexie Linden (PM, email...). But the Guidelines still says "If you see a post that you think violates our policies or that in some way requires review, please report it by clicking on the icon "Report abuse" under Actions.". - Irene Muni on 2010-02-15 @ 9:24 AM PST
- At this moment the problem is solved. There is a "report abuse" button. ". - Irene Muni on 2010-03-01 @ 3:40 AM PST

When opening a Blog, starting point seems inconsistent??
Depending on how I get into a specific blog, I am getting inconsistent results on where I land. Sometimes I get taken to the end of the blog (where I expect to be) And sometimes I get taken to the beginning of the blog (even though I clicked on the last response) AND I get different results with tabs opening in FireFox. My FireFox is set to create new tab when opening new page. Sometimes I will get a new tab and other times the current tab will update. Any ideas on how to get a more consistent experience?

- Please provide an exact, step-by-step reproduction of how to make this problem happen. Better yet, a video — you can quickly record with Jing. I'd like to see it for myself to understand. - Torley on 2009-09-15 @ 8:20 AM PST
I will try to do a video. But the most obvious example of this is as follows:
goto https://www.xstreetsl.com/modules.php?name=Your_Account You should have a Forum Topics window on the bottom left with the last few blog posts listed Click on any blog title and you will go to the top of the blog and not to the person's reply even though the text would seem to indicate that that's where you should be taken and I believe that was the behavior of that window prior to the switch.
I thought I saw this elsewhere, so when I have a chance I will run through the various discussion lists again

Ok, video thing not working for me. But here is the second most obvious example of inconsistent behaviour. On the main Dashboard page https://secure-web9.secondlife.com/my/?lang=en-US there is a section called Recent Activity. Clicking on any blog link there will take you to the First entry in the blog. HOWEVER: Go to the commerce forum https://blogs.secondlife.com/community/commerce On the left side there is also a section called Recent Activity with the same formatting as the one on the main page. Click on any link there and you go to the LAST entry in the blog. NOT THE LISTED ENTRY BUT THE VERY LAST ONE. So there may be 5 entries listed in Recent Activity by different authors but you will always go to the END of the blog from the Commerce page Recent Activity section and the the BEGINNING of the blog from the Main Dashboard page Recent Activity section.

- Thanks Cinnamon! I'll investigate this soon and comment back here with my findings. - Torley on 2009-09-21 @ 8:36 AM PST
- I see what you mean. http://secondlife.com.my 's Recent Activity links to GENERAL discussion thread links, whereas https://blogs.secondlife.com/community/commerce goes to SPECIFIC posts within a thread. I'll ask if we can make it consistent; it makes sense! - Torley on 2009-09-21 @ 4:06 PM PST
