- About Me..
Hello there... Glad that you stopped by to take a look around here. I'm LisaDeanna, and I love helping other residents in Second Life. I have had the chance to do this by many friends that have helped me along the way, and now that I have this chance to do the same, I will try my best at it. Mind you, I'm not the best at things and I have not been a resident that long myself, but I have got ideas from other residents that I will try to apply here. Those residents will be mentioned here IF they wish me to credit them, however, if thay ask not to be mentioned, I cannot. Respect is the biggest thing (I feel) in Second Life and to get it, one must show it.
What I do
- Well I do a lot of things in SL. Mainly I love to build, dance and have a fun time. You can find me dancing with my friends and having a great time.
Things that I have done
- I worked as a Dancer when I first started SL. They took me in and next thing I knew, I was on my way to the wonderful SL world of beauty and all things of.
- I worked as a Model at several places within SL and sometimes wished that I would have stayed doing that. That was a lot of fun, but also a lot of work and demanded lots of time from RL.
- I have built my own houses and shops
- I have helped other merchants with graphics (skins, eyelashes, shapes, makeup colors etc.)
- I have helped with architecture, structure building, texture advice, etc.
All of these I enjoyed very very much. I , myself, had a chance to see the changes in other residents by the 'suggestions' that I gave, and that's a very nice feeling, to know that you (me) actually helped as to where the outcome effected more then just you or a few people.
Meet me in Second Life
I'm usually at my land thinking of things to make or do. That is located at JayZee Beach. They have DMC, Slingo, Zyngo, Streetz and many more games to play. Best spot in SL to have fun. Wonderful caring people there. Best people that you will EVER find on or IN SL. Stop by and say hi and enjoy !!
Things that I have done to make things easier on me
Here, I will try to give suggestions (some may have been applied already and some not) on what works for me, remind you, that these may or may not work for you and the way that you, yourself, like things in your viewer.
- First off, let's start with the most annoying one that several people wonder about and it cause the most problems. The dreaded Inventory. Yes folks... that's the Ivent... OK, on with this show.
Inventory Management:
I like to be organized in RL and here in SL. So what I've done, I think works ok for me. You can see if this fits you as well, but it might take some time getting used to then remembering where everything is afterwards, but once you get the hang of it, it's really simple, I think.
Creating Folders
- In my Ivent I made (created) a folder with the name of '______________________________' this serves as the Main folder that we are going to be working with. So go ahead and make that.
- RIGHT click on 'My Inventory' then click 'Create Folder' after that, make the underscores '_' as wide as your Ivent window (this is what I done so that it is noticeable when the Ivent window is open) and usually RIGHT under the default folders IF you don't have something else with odd characters like !! @@ '##' and so forth.
- Once that is done, you need to figure out how you want things to be categorized. Say you have tons of dresses, pant sets, skirts sets, shorts sets.. well..
- Create another folder under the Main folder and name it Clothes, then we will be working in the Clothes Folder for now.
- Create another folder under the Clothes folder and name it Dresses, then we will be working in the Dresses folder for now. Now, create another folder under the Dresses folder and name it Short Dresses, and once again another folder named Long Evening Dresses (more examples would be: Formal Dresses, Mid Length, Long, Short).
Now it should look something like this:
- _____________________________________
- Clothes
- Dresses
- Short Dresses
- Long Evening Dresses
- Dresses
- Clothes
Now you can go through all your dresses and categorize by length instead of colors or having them strung all over the place. The options here are endless, so play with it and sort things as if they where in the closet and how you would sort them within the closet.
