[11:28]	Techwolf Lupindo:	Just about anything is scaleable, but some required more hardware then others to scale.

[11:29]	Techwolf Lupindo:	Don't use twitter, so I didn't notice nor get twitching when twitter goes down. :-)
[11:30]	Enkidu Linden:	so, basically, the rails ORM is great for quick development but it's not very performant under load
[11:30]	Enkidu Linden:	i bet django has the same problem
[11:31]	Enkidu Linden:	we don't generally use django's ORM though, so not really an issue for us
[11:31]	Enkidu Linden:	not sure what marketplace did with rails' ORM
[11:31]	Enkidu Linden:	probably used something else whenever possible

[11:32]	Techwolf Lupindo:	We did run a redmen site for a while. It went *poof* in two minutes after annoucning the new viewer. It got switch over to mod_ruby and it handle the new traffice pretty good.

[12:08]	Techwolf Lupindo:	I've played with an opensim one time just before http texture was released by LL. It was nice to download textures at full speed. The physics however, lefft a lot to be disered.
