How to enable the Advance Lighting Model
Preferences -> Graphics -> (check) Advanced Lighting Model or move the slider to ULTRA, then the Advanced Lighting Model is checked automatically. Please note that the SL Viewer does not display the function until you move your slider to ULTRA.
Minimum settings

If your settings are correct you should be able to see the texture projected by a spotlight on the floor of this room.
