Maintenance:Ouzo is here to quench your thirst.
Ouzo is a dry anise-flavoured aperitif that is widely consumed in Greece, Cyprus and Lebanon. Its taste is similar to other anise liquors like pastis and sambuca. Other spirits of the region may or may not include anise: arak, rakı, and mastika.
This bottle of Maintenance fixes brings you a large helping of crash fixes, a serious side of bug fixes, and a splash of improvements. Bottoms up!
Awkward Avatar Appearance Adjustments:
- Hairbase rendered incorrectly in edit appearance mode when ALM is enabled & Alpha mask did not hide hair in the Outfit Editor. Awkward!
- Object position (and sometimes size) was grayed out when editing avatar parts or attachments.
- 'Edit Outfit' in "Appearance" continuously displayed "Loading..." when there was nothing in that section. Unloaded.
- Sitting avatar's rotation was not updated correctly when prim rotation is changed by typing numbers (or using the buttons in the build tools).
- Temporary attachments could not be detached via gear menu from Appearance>Wearing
- We added "Wear Only this Outfit" option to Right-click menu in Appearance floater
Ugly, Uncooperative, or Unexpected UI:
- Abuse reporting UI cleanup
- Buying land from a group you're already donating to, donation checkbox was covered up by “Purchase” button. Decluttered.
- Received Items panel: ‘New’ icon did not disappear when navigating with keys & "New" tag was not in front of folder when searching. “Properties” menu item was disabled for multiple selection in Object content, because it was causing Received Items to disappear.
- Bottom part of "Filter" button at Snapshot window was not clickable
- Error messages were doubled; first error being generic, second being accurate. We have plenty of errors, no need to double them.
- World Map always showed first friend location after search for some users
- Unicode not appearing in windows viewer display name
- Arrows 'Navigate back' and 'Navigate forward' had wrong state
- Chat scroll bar was missing in the session after a resize. Come back, scrollbar! We need you.
- "Walk/run/fly" toolbar button turns off "fly mode" once per session.
- Profiles needed a “Back” button. So Back a button add we did.
- It was possible to delete an inventory folder while trying to rename it by holding down the Delete key a little too long. No one likes accidentally deleting inventory.
- Debug setting avatarhoverOffsetZ will work regardless of whether Set Hover Height modal has been opened.
Installation (& Login) Inconveniences Improved:
- GPU Benchmark was failing, causing problems with installation and setting defaults.
- Incorrect VFS (cache) creation time was shown in "help>about SL" for Mac
- Full version of the build in the applications is not displayed after install on Mac
- Installing viewer to non default path resulted in incorrect fonts loading - so Text was corrupted in TоS in non english viewer
- Help > Report Bug now includes viewer bitness
- Login failure message - removed the false and misleading "Your account will not be available until" statement
Media Matters:
- [MAC only] Viewer Media Browser doubles entered Cyrillic capital letters. Weird.
- “Magnify glass” button returned camera to avatar after select other nearby media in "Start/Stop ALL Media" tab
- Scrollbar did not decrease with decreasing number of displayed media
- The viewer sendt multiple GET requests against prim media when PRIM_MEDIA_AUTO_PLAY is enabled
- Social floaters launch a somewhat different version of the internal browser
Efficiency & Performance Energized:
- Viewer was attempting to load file/mesh/LOD indefinitely in case of most failures. Silly.
- Normal and specular maps were downloaded even if ALM is switched off. What a waste!
- Removed unneeded exception handling from LLAppViewer::frame()
- Re-enabled exportCharts for perfomance analysis
- Scripts memory usage had been returning incorrect values in estate tools. Not very useful!
- Provided mods to allow nVidia nSight to capture frames of Viewer rendering
- We now won't render particles attached to the muted avatars
- Texture animation flicker at certain frame rates has been removed
- Sculpties would appear as spheres before their shape data had streamed in
- Local Textures for Advanced Lighting Projectors did not keep the selected texture.
- Remove deprecated and unused private memory pooling
- Translation updates.
