What is the purpose of this template?
I understand that it's used with the ever-so-mysterious 'versioning' system, and this template returns 1, so I'm assuming that it flags pages with version #1? Were there ever other versions? How exactly are they used? If there is no purpose to versioning, is it worth keeping the entire system around?
