- [15:08] Bridie Linden: Silence is agreement ;)
- [15:08] Bridie Linden: Cool!!
- [15:08] Bridie Linden: And one other item...
- [15:09] Squirrel Wood: looking at the items sheduled for today they all look like they should be imported :)
- [15:09] Alexa Linden: lol
- [15:09] Bridie Linden: I'm trying to round up some other lindens to discuss age verification issues, but it looks like it won't happen until january...

- [15:10] Torley Linden: Let's rock the hizzouse!
- [15:10] Bridie Linden: # VWR-3864 - Votes: 0 - Viewer Does Not Maintain Preferences - vaguegirl Petty
- [15:10] Bridie Linden: Did we discuss this before? what prefs aren't saved?
- [15:10] Torley Linden: Hrmmm... that repro sounds pretty straightforward but I haven't heard of others having the same problem yet.
- [15:11] Alexa Linden: different
- [15:11] Squirrel Wood: what happens if the xml file is write protected ?
- [15:11] Alexa Linden: ya, I can't repro
- [15:11] Bridie Linden: Anyone else? (repro was on Mac)
- [15:11] Harleen Gretzky: Maybe it is a MAC OSX Tiger thing
- [15:11] Squirrel Wood: or SL was installed on another account on the same system with "private" settings on in wondows ?
- [15:11] Torley Linden: This is on Mac OS X eh... *searches to see if there's a duplicate out of curiosity*
- [15:11] Squirrel Wood: windows even
- [15:12] Squirrel Wood: macOS.. could indeed be insufficient permissions ?
- [15:12] Bridie Linden: waits to see what Torley finds...
- [15:12] Torley Linden: I don't see anything else so far that's directly the same.
- [15:12] Aric Linden: I'm happy to take it and see if QA can repro
- [15:12] Alexa Linden: sold!
- [15:12] Bridie Linden: Ok w/me...Alexa?
- [15:12] Alexa Linden: lol
- [15:12] Bridie Linden: thx

- [15:12] Bridie Linden: Next
- [15:12] Bridie Linden: VWR-3837 - Votes: 0 - Keyboard forcus goes to a meaningless location on the login screen -
- [15:12] Alexa Linden: next on the auction block.....
- [15:13] Torley Linden: Alissa has a good point here...
- [15:13] Squirrel Wood: may still need to check just *which* settings are not saved
- [15:13] Torley Linden: that's a well-written repro too. :)
- [15:13] Bridie Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-3837
- [15:13] Bridie Linden: For Lindens, I asked James about link to Dev-6826
- [15:14] aliceinwire Bleac: sorry but i was in a wifi less signal connection
- [15:14] xaliceinwire: wifi:
- [15:14] Squirrel Wood: the login screen takes quite long for me to show up but I can verify this thing as well.
- [15:14] Bridie Linden: Periapse is following up internally about VWR-3838
- [15:14] Bridie Linden: Import and link up?
- [15:14] Alexa Linden: ok
- [15:15] Bridie Linden: Ok next
- [15:15] Bridie Linden: VWR-3868 - Votes: 0 - Particle system angle resolution lower than expected
- [15:15] Alexa Linden: so his second comment
- [15:15] Alexa Linden: was that resolving his issue
- [15:15] Alexa Linden: or a comment on his original post?
- [15:15] Alexa Linden: (all greek to me)
- [15:15] Torley Linden: Hm, it's not totally clear. Maybe mark as "Can't Repro" and ask him?
- [15:16] Squirrel Wood: floating point rounding errors? Just like with align-to-grid when grid-size is set to 0.1
- [15:16] Torley Linden: "Needs More Info", I mean.
- [15:16] Alexa Linden: ok
- [15:16] Torley Linden: I'll remove "WindLight" since it doesn't seem to be WL-specific...
- [15:16] Alexa Linden: thanks Torley
- [15:16] Bridie Linden: ok, thx
- [15:16] Bridie Linden: next
- [15:16] Bridie Linden: VWR-3801 - Votes: 0 - Wrong primitives usage display
- [15:17] Torley Linden: Hmmm it isn't clear if this is a bug or a misunderstanding.
- [15:17] Torley Linden: Easy way to find out is to rez some prims on that parcel and see if the number increments.
- [15:18] Alexa Linden: I can go there and take a look in english
- [15:18] Bridie Linden: That'd be great Alexa
- [15:18] Bridie Linden: wb Aric
- [15:18] Torley Linden: Thanks Alexa!
- [15:18] Alexa Linden: np
- [15:18] Aric Linden: ty
- [15:18] Bridie Linden: and next...
- [15:18] Bridie Linden: VWR-2430 - Votes: 1 - SecondLife disables DPMS under Linux
- [15:19] Torley Linden: Looks easily repro'able if you have a similar setup.
- [15:19] Bridie Linden: But is it us?
- [15:19] Torley Linden: Who's on Linux here? :)
- [15:19] Torley Linden: Looks like this isn't new in 1.18.6 RC according to the issue history.
- [15:20] Unable to: create requested object. Please try again.
- [15:20] Unable to: create requested object. Please try again.
- [15:20] Bridie Linden: Import? Have Tofu take a look?
- [15:20] Aric Linden: yes, we should take this
- [15:20] Alexa Linden: ok
- [15:21] Bridie Linden: nods
- [15:21] Aric Linden: I don't know if it's for tofu or someone else
- [15:21] Bridie Linden: and finally a patch...
- [15:21] Bridie Linden: VWR-3808 - Votes: 0 - Cannot login to private servers with new login system
- [15:21] Aric Linden: I suspect it has something to do with how we set the graphics card
- [15:21] Bridie Linden: nods to Aric
- [15:22] Bridie Linden: We can ask other lindens about 3808 before importing...
- [15:22] Bridie Linden: *should
- [15:22] Asset server: didn't respond in a timely fashion. Object returned to sim.
- [15:22] Torley Linden: Looks like Tess would know, based on the comments.
- [15:22] Harleen Gretzky: Sounds like TEss should look at it
- [15:22] Torley Linden: Jinx! =) Hehe.
- [15:23] Bridie Linden: nods
- [15:23] Aric Linden: I think all of icehouse should look at it
- [15:23] Bridie Linden: ha!
- [15:23] Harleen Gretzky: lol
- [15:23] Rob Linden: I'm guessing we're not going to want to incorporate this
- [15:23] Aric Linden: It doesn't seem right to me
- [15:23] Aric Linden: nods at rob
- [15:23] Aric Linden: i don't think so either
- [15:23] aliceinwire Bleac: i agree
- [15:23] Bridie Linden: /rob can u follow up?
- [15:23] Rob Linden: wishes we had a plugin system to incorporate this type of thing
- [15:24] Aric Linden: nods
- [15:24] Alexa Linden: do we want to add some watchers?
- [15:24] Rob Linden: it's a feature request at this point
- [15:24] Alexa Linden: verus importing
- [15:24] Aric Linden: but still, this sort of undermines the code we want in place
- [15:24] Squirrel Wood: Mayhaps an option list on the login page to specify where you want to log in to may prove best?
- [15:24] Rob Linden: I think should be moved to feature request, and may yet get incorporated if popular.
- [15:24] Aric Linden: it's not only where, it what mechanism you're using
- [15:25] Rob Linden: but let's there be some discussion, and perhaps add Tess as a watcher
- [15:25] Alexa Linden: ok
- [15:25] Bridie Linden: sounds good to me!
- [15:25] aliceinwire Bleac: i agree rob
- [15:25] Torley Linden: :)
- [15:25] Asset server: didn't respond in a timely fashion. Object returned to sim.
- [15:25] Bridie Linden: Shortest triage ever?
- [15:25] Squirrel Wood: [X
- [15:25] Harleen Gretzky: lol
- [15:25] Alexa Linden: a new award
- [15:25] Squirrel Wood: We've had shorter :p
- [15:26] Torley Linden: Good to be efficient yet fun.
- [15:26] Bridie Linden: nods
- [15:26] aliceinwire Bleac: ^^
- [15:26] Squirrel Wood: I do remember an empty open source agenda :p
- [15:26] Bridie Linden: ha!
- [15:26] Bridie Linden: looks @ Rob
- [15:26] Asset server: didn't respond in a timely fashion. Object returned to sim.
- [15:26] Harleen Gretzky: On the new login screen the version number in teh lower right is unescaped I noticed today when I was just logging in
- [15:26] Bridie Linden: Rob or Aric, did you want to say anything about open issues?
- [15:27] Asset server: didn't respond in a timely fashion. Object returned to sim.
- [15:27] Aric Linden: open issues in pjira?
- [15:27] Bridie Linden: I've been fairly focused on RC issues lately...
- [15:27] Bridie Linden: nods
- [15:28] Aric Linden: well, there's currently 1370 of them or thereabouts
- [15:28] Rob Linden: how many folks here (non-Lindens) have looked marked an issue resolved on their own?
- [15:28] Bridie Linden: Just a reminder for folks to help out (more) when they can...
- [15:28] Rob Linden: (e.g. resolved/needs more info)
- [15:28] Bridie Linden: yup
- [15:28] Torley Linden: [2] is a good resource!
- [15:28] Asset server: didn't respond in a timely fashion. Object returned to sim.
- [15:28] Torley Linden: And if you know something is fixed publicly, feel free to change Fixed Internally to Fixed with the appropriate info...
- [15:28] aliceinwire Bleac: yes torley ^^
- [15:28] Torley Linden: Alexa and I have been doing a bunch earlier but of course, we appreciate your help! =)
- [15:28] Squirrel Wood: won't resolve jira issues... I'm already on prokofys enemy list :p
- [15:28] Alexa Linden: yes :)
- [15:28] Bridie Linden: what Torley said!
- [15:28] Alexa Linden: LOL
- [15:29] Aric Linden: grins at squirrel
- [15:29] Bridie Linden: Anyone have anything else today or should we call it good?
- [15:30] Rob Linden: anyone?....anyone?...bueller?
- [15:30] Squirrel Wood: Yes
- [15:30] Alexa Linden: good
- [15:30] Bridie Linden: yes, Squirrel?
- [15:30] Colton Linden: Ohhhh yeah.....
- [15:30] Squirrel Wood: When will the viewer utilize the full 16 (soon 25) mbit of bandwidth I have available? ^
- [15:30] Squirrel Wood: chat lag..
- [15:30] Aric Linden: as soon as you use voice fulltime
- [15:30] Rob Linden: I'm guessing all non-lindens here have never resolved an issue?
- [15:30] Aric Linden: laughs
- [15:31] aliceinwire Bleac: :)
- [15:31] Squirrel Wood: I *always* have voice on :p
- [15:31] Squirrel Wood: I never resolved any.
- [15:31] Aric Linden: Squirrel but you don't always use it, right
- [15:31] Alexa Linden: I always have it on toi
- [15:31] Alexa Linden: too*
- [15:32] Squirrel Wood: I use it when there's people around using it too
- [15:32] Jason Swain: is pro voice ^^
- [15:32] Rob Linden: I would so strongly encourage you to at least comment on issues if you aren't confident enough to resolve them.
- [15:32] Bridie Linden: :)
- [15:32] Aric Linden: we're about to start doing a series of load tests, I'll add that concept to the testing.
- [15:32] Kerry Giha: Yea I use voice a lot. IT is a great feature
- [15:32] Rob Linden: it is *so* helpful to have people who go to these triages comment on issues
- [15:32] Squirrel Wood: power texture streaming ^^
- [15:32] Aric Linden: afaik, we don't sample the pipe to see how much is available, nor do we push more if we have extra
- [15:32] Harleen Gretzky: I have resolved dups and linked to the original and comment all the time
- [15:32] Torley Linden: I'm thankful for every chunk of useful info that gets filled in.
- [15:32] aliceinwire Bleac: i have helping on dazzle issue
- [15:33] Aric Linden: Squirrle, it's a good idea
- [15:33] Rob Linden: Harleen: very cool
- [15:33] Squirrel Wood: class 5 sims can do 4 million script instructions per second ^^
- [15:33] Kerry Giha: Though it wasn't on the list of bug fixes for the new windlight client. Shinies are working for the ATI X600 video cards
- [15:33] Squirrel Wood: yet most stay well below 100k
- [15:33] Kerry Giha: That last viewer update fixed that
- [15:33] Torley Linden: Thanks Kerry, I think that may've been resolved as a side-effect of cleaning up some related ATI shader issues.
- [15:34] Jason Swain: was pleased to see the new windlight rendering the sea and the sky in the last fix
- [15:34] aliceinwire Bleac: ^^
- [15:34] Squirrel Wood: I still see invisible avatars with it though
- [15:34] Kerry Giha: Yes that viewer is really looking nice
- [15:34] Alexa Linden: ya there was a bug last week about that
- [15:34] aliceinwire Bleac: me too
- [15:34] Torley Linden: Squirrel: The invisible avatars at high altitudes one, or another?
- [15:34] Squirrel Wood: and I noticed the camera behaving much better now when focussing on stuff
- [15:35] Squirrel Wood: yes
- [15:35] Torley Linden: If it's the "I teleported someone up to my skybox and can't see them", I'm going to investigate that further and supply Runitai with info to fix it.
- [15:35] Kerry Giha: It is amazing that they sit on something and stand again and they show up
- [15:35] aliceinwire Bleac: :)
- [15:35] Torley Linden: Thanks for the feedback on that one, still a hot issue in my mind!
- [15:35] Aric Linden: you guys focused on windlight?
- [15:35] Squirrel Wood: I teleported to a skybox and could see half the avatars there.
- [15:35] Asset server: didn't respond in a timely fashion. Object returned to sim.
- [15:35] Torley Linden: Which guys? If me? Yes. =)
- [15:35] aliceinwire Bleac: and i have problem with my tiny on windlight torley
- [15:35] Torley Linden: What's the prob, aliceinwire?
- [15:35] Aric Linden: We took a slightly different testing approach in making windlight
- [15:35] aliceinwire Bleac: i don't see the object over
- [15:36] Jason Swain: Aric, what type of testing approach did you use?
- [15:36] aliceinwire Bleac: i see a naked avi in a strange position
- [15:36] aliceinwire Bleac: and with tiny shape
- [15:36] Squirrel Wood: Hmm... There is definitely still a bug in the current windlight build with HUD priority.
- [15:37] Squirrel Wood: where prims that are close to the camera are drawn on top of the hud
- [15:37] aliceinwire Bleac: and also my friend with windlight see me naked
- [15:38] Torley Linden: Please feel free to email WindLight issues to me, torley at lindenlab dot com, even better if you already have them on the Issue Tracker and send me the #s to check out! I'll need to chase down some of this stuff soon. Pardon me, I've got to be going for now... more work to be done, take care all!
- [15:38] Colton Linden: take care Torley
- [15:38] Jason Swain: See you Torley
- [15:38] aliceinwire Bleac: ^^
- [15:38] Alexa Linden: torley's her outfit
- [15:38] Colton Linden: happy holidays if don't see you beforehand
- [15:38] Alexa Linden: waaaaah!
- [15:38] aliceinwire Bleac: see you torley take care
- [15:38] aliceinwire Bleac: have a good one ^^
- [15:39] Bridie Linden: I'm going to head out too -- thanks and happy holidays all!
- [15:39] Torley Linden: You too Colton, Jason, Alexa (hee hee, nice hat + tie), aliceinwire, everybody! Happy holidays!
