- [12:00] Davy Linden: Agenda here: [1]
- [12:01] Alexa Linden: lol
- [12:01] Ardy Lay: High Noon too. :-)
- [12:01] Alexa Linden: yup
- [12:01] Davy Linden: SVC-4497
- [12:01] Bug Triage: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-4497 [ llSetScriptState() resets the script ! ]
- [12:01] JIRA-helper: http//jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-4497:
- [#SVC-4497] resets the: script !
- [12:01] [[User:JIRA-helper: [#SVC-4497|JIRA-helper: [#SVC-4497]]:
- [12:01] Davy Linden: eek - too many helpers
- [12:02] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: Hey Soft.
- [12:02] Moon Metty: the help[er is a popular doomsday device :D
- [12:02] Soft Linden: Adventure!
- [12:02] Alexa Linden: Hi SOft :)
- [12:02] Davy Linden: hi soft - we're on the first issue
- [12:02] Questar Utu: Dah, be right back in a sec.
- [12:02] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: Alright. :o
- [12:02] Soft Linden: Man, right down to business :3
- [12:02] Squirrel Wood: hai ^^
- [12:02] Imaze Rhiano: Duplicate with [2]
- [12:02] [[User:JIRA-helper: [#SVC-1853|JIRA-helper: [#SVC-1853]]:
- [12:03] Davy Linden: looks similar
- [12:03] Davy Linden: but is it a dupe?
- [12:03] Squirrel Wood: two dupes listed there... so likely
- [12:03] Harleen Gretzky: Repro scripts are almost identical to SVC-1853
- [12:04] Davy Linden: can we mark as dupe, and prod someone about status of the original?
- [12:04] Alexa Linden: sure
- [12:04] Squirrel Wood: If done with a sharp stick then yes ;)
- [12:04] Moon Metty: there is also a proposal to always reset the script, i think
- [12:04] Davy Linden: onto hot by vote ...
- [12:04] Davy Linden: VWR-14463
- [12:04] JIRA-helper: http//jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-14463:
- [#VWR-14463] clothing change: invisible to all inworld, but visible to me.
- [12:05] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: Hm, I saw this with a friend of mine the other day.
- [12:05] Squirrel Wood: does that happen when upload of baked textures fails ?
- [12:05] Soft Linden: I wouldn't mark SVC-4497 and SVC-1853 as dupes - I'd import both
- [12:05] Questar Utu: And back..
- [12:05] Davy Linden: ok soft
- [12:05] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: Welcome back hon.
- [12:05] Soft Linden: Even if they have the same root cause (and they may not), both of those will need to be tested.
- [12:05] Questar Utu: Thankie. ^^
- [12:05] Squirrel Wood: Hello Rodney
- [12:05] Rodney Linden: Hi Everybody!
- [12:05] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: Hey Rodney.
- [12:06] Moon Metty: hi Rodney :)
- [12:06] Soft Linden: llSetScriptState resetting maaaay be intentional. But the one involving the sim reset wouldn't be for sure.
- [12:06] JayR Cela: *waves* / hello everyone :_)
- [12:06] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: waves.
- [12:06] Soft Linden: hey hey :3
- [12:06] Questar Utu: 'lo. :o
- [12:07] Moon Metty: behaviour should be predictable, you never know when a region restarts ...
- [12:07] Squirrel Wood: ya. script state should stay as it is
- [12:07] Soft Linden: Anyway. Import both, move on?
- [12:07] Moon Metty: ok
- [12:07] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:08] Davy Linden: ok - so VWR-14463
- [12:08] Davy Linden: VWR-14463
- [12:08] Davy Linden: repeat, helper
- [12:08] Imaze Rhiano: could it be related to cache issuues?
- [12:08] Davy Linden: this looks similar to SNOW-128
- [12:08] JIRA-helper: http//jira.secondlife.com/browse/SNOW-128:
- [#SNOW-128] appears naked: when wearing clothes
- [12:09] Davy Linden: and MISC-2073
- [12:09] JIRA-helper: http//jira.secondlife.com/browse/MISC-2073:
- [#MISC-2073] appearing naked: to other persons while I am fully dressed
- [12:09] Squirrel Wood: does that happen when upload of baked textures fails ?
- [12:09] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: Squirrel - my friend didn't have any errors.
- [12:09] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: The way he fixed it was odd.
- [12:09] Moon Metty: or the baking fails
- [12:09] Soft Linden: It's possible it has to do with a failed baked texture upload, yes.
- [12:10] Khamon Fate: if the baking failed, would the client not serve the old bake?
- [12:10] Soft Linden: We should import because of the number of people reporting though. People who know the character pipeline well can comment.
- [12:10] Alexa Linden: agreed
- [12:10] Davy Linden: SVC-4739
- [12:10] JIRA-helper: http//jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-4739:
- [#SVC-4739] freezes each: time someone tp in or tp out, log in/log out - for a couple seconds untill new awatar arrives sim or leaves sim
- [12:10] Morgaine Dinova: We were talkingto Nyx in AW Groupies about a similar issue just 10-15 mins ago. The viewer really needs an Advanced function for a complete reset of the sim's bake info plus re-download of all wearables and av params, to be able to start from a known state.
- [12:10] Alexa Linden: I will look at all 3 issues and see what can be done with making sure all are tied together
- [12:10] Davy Linden: ty alexa
- [12:11] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: This is a nasty one in sandboxes.
- [12:11] Soft Linden: This is definitely a duplicate...
- [12:11] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: And hey Dessie.
- [12:11] Dessie Linden: Hi everyone!
- [12:11] Moon Metty: svc-4739 is another sim freeze report
- [12:11] Soft Linden: Yeah, shopping places too. Anywhere high traffic.
- [12:11] Questar Utu: 'lo.
- [12:11] Squirrel Wood: ays. especially script heavy avatars...
- [12:11] Soft Linden: Honestly, I think it's just a dupe of SVC-3895 - a fix for that should be part of the next server roll.
- [12:11] JIRA-helper: http//jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-3895:
- [#SVC-3895] Mono scripted: object cripples sim FPS
- [12:12] Soft Linden: I think we can mark the date, and revisit if that fix didn't cover this specific case.
- [12:12] Alexa Linden: will do
- [12:12] Moon Metty: oh really Soft, that's good news
- [12:12] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: I look forward to the new server roll then. :D
- [12:12] Ardy Lay: This is hurting social places pretty badly too.
- [12:12] Davy Linden: SVC-343
- [12:12] Imaze Rhiano: you should talk with Babbage also - he is running instrumenation for scripts
- [12:12] JIRA-helper: http//jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-343:
- [#SVC-343] event not: behaving as expected when 2 control scripts exist in the same object(prim) or linkset
- [12:12] Alexa Linden: adding triaged date to it then
- [12:12] Soft Linden: yus, too!
- [12:12] Squirrel Wood: not just rezzing... but derezzing too
- [12:12] Questar Utu: I would think that bringing an avatar into a sim should more reasonably only slow down performance if anything, not actually freeze the sim. o_o
- [12:12] Questar Utu: At least, as an alternative.
- [12:13] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: has never scripted so can't comment on this one.
- [12:13] Soft Linden: This should be imported.
- [12:13] Alexa Linden: will do
- [12:13] WolfPup Lowenhar: actualy when i have hbeen hosting some place when AV's come in i have seen the sim 'lock' for about 2 sec
- [12:13] Davy Linden: VWR-13604
- [12:13] JIRA-helper: http//jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-13604:
- [#VWR-13604] Abuse" makes: UI backgrounds go transparent.
- [12:13] Squirrel Wood: wb Prokofy
- [12:13] Prokofy Neva: [3]
- [12:13] [[User:JIRA-helper: [#SVC-4632|JIRA-helper: [#SVC-4632]]:
- [12:13] Questar Utu: That one sounds like it's probably using one function in the viewer to recieve controls, and unable to deal with two scripts using the same control as quickly as just one.
- [12:14] Prokofy Neva: this needs to be escalated because griefers are exploiting Cryolife/Meercat to evade estate bans
- [12:14] Soft Linden: Prokofy, there's an agenda at [4]
- [12:14] Alexa Linden: we're working off the triage listed here [5]
- [12:14] Morgaine Dinova: The sim freezes of SVC-4739 could be the same problem we have in viewers occasionally --- reverse DNS lookup on peer IP addresses (the name only required for debug output) being longer then the usual RTT to local nameserver. Those lookups are always done inline (since it's debug data) and hence are blocking calls.
- [12:14] Soft Linden: I think we've seen the transparent UI issue before...
- [12:14] Soft Linden: Seeing if there's an existing internal issue...
- [12:14] Davy Linden: I've seen this internally, yeah
- [12:15] Prokofy Neva: If you're banned from the JIRA unjustly, you can't exactly put something on the agenda now, can you Soft and Alexa? I'm here merely to mark that it needs escalation, although not "your" issue.
- [12:15] Soft Linden: I'm not finding the internal issue.
- [12:15] Soft Linden: Should import - we've definitely repro'd it already
- [12:16] Alexa Linden: will do
- [12:16] Harleen Gretzky: The agenda is on the wiki
- [12:16] Yann Dufaux: Ella!!
- [12:16] Yann Dufaux: hi all!! :D
- [12:16] Moon Metty: ,
- [12:16] Moon Metty: hi Yann :)
- [12:16] Davy Linden: VWR-14319
- [12:16] JIRA-helper: http//jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-14319:
- [#VWR-14319] Stomach Seam: (Vertex-lighting flaw)
- [12:16] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: 'ellos.
- [12:16] Questar Utu: Heh.
- [12:16] Dessie Linden: hey Yann, Ellla
- [12:16] Yann Dufaux: Aleaz, Sof Davy!
- [12:16] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: Well this is a weird one.
- [12:16] Soft Linden: Hey hey :)
- [12:16] Yann Dufaux: oh hi Dessie!!
- [12:17] Dessie Linden: :o)
- [12:17] Yann Dufaux: Alexa* gee sorry!
- [12:17] Imaze Rhiano: Sai should be here - as test subject for this one :P
- [12:17] Alexa Linden: smiles
- [12:17] Prokofy Neva: I wonder why Rodney Linden doesn't show up on my avatar HUD scanner
- [12:17] Soft Linden: This isn't quite a dupe of VWR-9530 - should be imported and related.
- [12:17] JIRA-helper: http//jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-9530:
- [#VWR-9530] is a: gap between the shirt and pants layers - both shirt and undershirt seem to stop short of the waist seam.
- [12:17] Dessie Linden: is that a stomach seam, or just unrezzed pants?
- [12:17] Dessie Linden: ...and shirt
- [12:17] Yann Dufaux: sorry this interupt
- [12:17] Soft Linden: Yeah - import, relate to DEV-21919
- [12:17] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:17] Davy Linden: On to Misc Pool: SVC-4732
- [12:17] JIRA-helper: http//jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-4732:
- [#SVC-4732] service affecting: regions
- [12:18] Soft Linden: Dessie - it's unevenness in the shading
- [12:18] Soft Linden: Shading should reallllly be the same on the coincident edges there.
- [12:18] Dessie Linden: thx, soft
- [12:18] Khamon Fate: There has always been a gap between the shirt and pants; it's never been fixed
- [12:18] Yann Dufaux: Dessie, its me or you have a black av?
- [12:18] Dessie Linden: I have a black av =D
- [12:19] Dessie Linden: Focus pls, Yann... ;o)
- [12:19] Yann Dufaux: yes
- [12:19] Soft Linden: I don't think this issue's specifically actionable. We already have issues for specific lag and pauses.
- [12:20] Davy Linden: send to support?
- [12:20] Soft Linden: Sure, that could help. They can step in and see if there's anything specific to their regions.
- [12:20] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:20] Davy Linden: VWR-12051
- [12:20] JIRA-helper: http//jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-12051:
- [#VWR-12051] on startup: due to OpenJDK on Linux
- [12:21] Davy Linden: reopened / still an issue
- [12:21] Soft Linden: Hrm.
- [12:22] Soft Linden: Alternate java implementations break an awful lot of other apps too. Would be nice to see if we can avoid the crash, even if we don't support it.
- [12:22] Soft Linden: This would be a good one to ask for help on sldev, see if someone who's capable of debugging can get a stack on it
- [12:22] Rodney Linden: unsupported Java makes for general sadness.
- [12:23] Alexa Linden: I can do that soft
- [12:23] Soft Linden: Cool :)
- [12:23] Davy Linden: VWR-15173
- [12:23] JIRA-helper: http//jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-15173:
- [#VWR-15173] chat fails: to connect
- [12:23] Squirrel Wood: voice chat failing to connect - I have noticed that slvoice.exe sometimes does not shut down properly and next time you start the client you have no voice until you terminate slvoice.exe and restart the voice subsystem througn the client preferences. Maybe that's what happens there?
- [12:23] Soft Linden: Would have them contact support on this
- [12:23] JayR Cela: Linux has 2 differnt JDK 's
- [12:23] Yann Dufaux: hmm, voice bug?
- [12:24] JayR Cela: the official one from Sun Micro & an open source version of some sort
- [12:24] Squirrel Wood: Soft, support not needed to fix that most likely. just kill the slvoice.exe task ^^
- [12:24] Soft Linden: squirrel - that's likely it. Can comment if you want to help them along.
- [12:24] Soft Linden: But should probably use contact support as the resolution. "If this isn't it, then..."
- [12:24] Squirrel Wood: commenting
- [12:24] Alexa Linden: TY Squirrel
- [12:25] Davy Linden: SVC-272
- [12:25] JIRA-helper: http//jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-272:
- [#SVC-272] returns odd: results every other scan.
- [12:25] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: This one seems worse when in the scanning range of a sim line.
- [12:25] Soft Linden: The order isn't guaranteed, but it'd be a courtesy to change that
- [12:25] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: Noticed my MystiTool picking up whacky results.
- [12:25] Soft Linden: Checking... I think there's an existing issue on this
- [12:25] Soft Linden: Or may have just been an sldev discussion
- [12:26] Soft Linden: No internal JIRA... must have been an sldev discussion
- [12:26] Object: Hello,: Avatar!
- [12:26] Soft Linden: Would you import and assign to me? I'll add notes, push to core
- [12:26] Squirrel Wood: scans across sim borders are always unreliable
- [12:27] Alexa Linden: will do :)
- [12:27] Davy Linden: VWR-5613
- [12:27] JIRA-helper: http//jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-5613:
- [#VWR-5613] an Instant: Message is sent & the recipient's IMs have been capped, the sender gets no notice that their message was not sent
- [12:27] Squirrel Wood: I believe its even stated in the wiki entry
- [12:27] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: Squirrel - MystiTool doesn't try to. :p
- [12:27] Soft Linden: This should really be a feature request, but sure sounds like a good idea
- [12:27] Davy Linden: +1
- [12:27] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: Agreed.
- [12:27] Alexa Linden: agreed
- [12:28] Alexa Linden: I will move
- [12:28] Davy Linden: VWR-6436
- [12:28] JIRA-helper: http//jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-6436:
- [#VWR-6436] and alt-cam: not working
- [12:28] Soft Linden: Cool - convert and import that puppy :)
- [12:28] Alexa Linden: kk
- [12:28] Entering god: mode, level 150
- [12:29] Questar Utu: Never had that happen.. o_o
- [12:29] Moon Metty: me neither
- [12:29] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: Me neither.
- [12:29] Soft Linden: Actually, I see this happening when using Windows inside of Parallels
- [12:29] Soft Linden: I suspect there's a GL state we're not setting somewhere in there
- [12:29] Soft Linden: Surprised if it survived the object picker rewrite in 1.21 though
- [12:30] Alexa Linden: Still a problem?
- [12:30] Soft Linden: Let's take this in. It's got a couple youtube videos for repro - may be an "Ah ha!" for a graphics engineer seeing it in action.
- [12:30] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:30] Davy Linden: SVC-1070
- [12:30] JIRA-helper: http//jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-1070:
- [#SVC-1070] are in: some cases counted against parcel prim limits.
- [12:31] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: Aren't vehicles supposed to?
- [12:31] Soft Linden: Interesting. Not sure.
- [12:31] Alexa Linden: unless it's an AO
- [12:31] Squirrel Wood: voice chat failing to connect - I have noticed that slvoice.exe sometimes does not shut down properly and next time you start the client you have no voice until you terminate slvoice.exe and restart the voice subsystem througn the client preferences. Maybe that's what happens there?
- [12:31] Questar Utu: Only temporary prims don't count against the prim count so far as I know.
- [12:31] Alexa Linden: dec 07
- [12:31] Squirrel Wood: eep
- [12:31] Soft Linden: So if vehicles didn't count, what would happen if you moved a vehicle onto land and then stood up?
- [12:32] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: ...heh, yeah. That's kind of asking for some build-up to possibly happen.
- [12:32] Moon Metty: i think the vehicle counts as normal prims
- [12:32] Questar Utu: nods.
- [12:32] Moon Metty: after you stand up
- [12:32] Squirrel Wood: if they are sat on they don't count so you can drive through full parcels but if you stand up they do. proper behavior if you ask me?
- [12:32] Questar Utu: Well, even while standing on it. It's really just you sitting on it, not it attaching to you.
- [12:33] Soft Linden: I think this wants discussion. It would be nice to know why Argent thinks vehicles sometimes don't count.
- [12:33] JayR Cela: when you stand up the vehicle usually returns to your inventory
- [12:33] Soft Linden: Let's just mark the date, and I'll add a comment.
- [12:33] Alexa Linden: will do
- [12:33] Davy Linden: VWR-3819
- [12:33] JIRA-helper: http//jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-3819:
- [#VWR-3819] Editting Undo: Unreliable
- [12:33] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: You've had this before, right Que? :p
- [12:33] Prokofy Neva: hmm I can't beat this boss even though I'm a level 70 Paladin in Strategic SL
- [12:34] Questar Utu: Ah, only when lag sets in, rubber banding happens, and a whole lot of undos need be done.
- [12:34] Soft Linden: Yeah, I know this is an issue.
- [12:34] Soft Linden: We should import this.
- [12:34] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:34] Davy Linden: SVC-1094
- [12:34] JIRA-helper: http//jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-1094:
- [#SVC-1094] Time much: longer in H4
- [12:34] Soft Linden: Things like block indentation changes lose characters on the end during undo.
- [12:34] Questar Utu: Well, I would think that would be fixed with the UDP connection changing or whichever it was.
- [12:34] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: Long time, Que.
- [12:34] Imaze Rhiano: Can't reproduce that sensor bug :(
- [12:35] Questar Utu: Still.
- [12:35] Soft Linden: Imaze - it's possible we added sorting after the sldev discussion. Core will know when they see it.
- [12:35] Leaving god: mode, level 150
- [12:36] Soft Linden: Trying to think if there's anything useful to do on the h4 issue...
- [12:36] Davy Linden: SVC-1094 assigned to simon, but not imported
- [12:36] Alexa Linden: importing then :p
- [12:36] Moon Metty: and the last comment is over a year old
- [12:37] Soft Linden: Yeah.
- [12:37] Davy Linden: SVC-1194
- [12:37] JIRA-helper: http//jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-1194:
- [#SVC-1194] Parcel Permissions: Sent for Group Members
- [12:37] Squirrel Wood: I would ask if its still happening
- [12:37] Soft Linden: Andrew needs a talking to :) He's done a lot of assignment without importing. Recipe for losing issues.
- [12:37] Squirrel Wood: much has been done to H4 in a years time
- [12:37] Alexa Linden: nods
- [12:37] Alexa Linden: nmi?
- [12:38] Soft Linden: Hmm.
- [12:38] Yann Dufaux: hmmm, tested on aditi?
- [12:38] Soft Linden: Really, could almost use a different icon.
- [12:38] Soft Linden: SVC-1194 is legit. Should import for Rx discussion
- [12:39] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:39] Soft Linden: Maybe there's a more clear way of representing no build vs group build vs public build
- [12:39] Davy Linden: SVC-1444
- [12:39] JIRA-helper: http//jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-1444:
- [#SVC-1444] name and: descroption limit is now too small
- [12:39] Yann Dufaux: i take the 1194 in bock mark for test
- [12:40] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: 1024 characters? o_o
- [12:40] Soft Linden: won't fix. Those sizes where chosen deliberately - those fields aren't designed for long data storage.
- [12:40] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:40] Davy Linden: SVC-2409
- [12:40] JIRA-helper: http//jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-2409:
- [#SVC-2409] not triggering: no_sensor unless a sensor event handler is present
- [12:40] Techwolf Lupindo: Almost missed this due to Office hours HUD got removed somehow.
- [12:40] Alexa Linden: Hi Tech :)
- [12:40] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: Hey Tech.
- [12:40] WolfPup Lowenhar: -*@ ROFL @*- tech
- [12:40] Questar Utu: Would be nice if they could store things like notecards or landmarks and such, like notecards as items can do.
- [12:41] AOS-HUD 3.5.182: [WEAR ME!]: - The scanner on steroids - [6]
- [12:41] Alexa Linden: WB Kirsten :)
- [12:41] Soft Linden: hrm.
- [12:41] Techwolf Lupindo: Anyone have a URL link to the triage bug list?
- [12:41] Kirsten Kiergarten: ty :)
- [12:41] Moon Metty: yes, you need a no_sensoe event
- [12:41] Alexa Linden: [7]
- [12:41] Soft Linden: What's the use case for getting no_sensor events, but never wanting sensor ?
- [12:41] Moon Metty: weird but true
- [12:42] Alexa Linden: we're on svc-2409
- [12:42] Soft Linden: I guess if people just want to know when a place is empty?
- [12:42] Squirrel Wood: no sensor in the case that nobody is there
- [12:42] Imaze Rhiano: turn of lights? :P
- [12:42] Soft Linden: Ha. :3
- [12:42] Squirrel Wood: turn off scripts and such
- [12:42] Alexa Linden: if bear falls in the woods...
- [12:42] Soft Linden: Yeah. I'd import for core I guess.
- [12:42] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:42] Moon Metty: haha, and then they reset Squirrel
- [12:42] Davy Linden: SVC-2649
- [12:42] Squirrel Wood: ^^
- [12:42] JIRA-helper: http//jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-2649:
- [#SVC-2649] performance cut: in half
- [12:43] Davy Linden: reported against Second Life Server 1.23; last comment nov 08
- [12:44] Alexa Linden: nmi? still a problem?
- [12:44] Squirrel Wood: would ask if still a problem..
- [12:44] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:44] Davy Linden: SVC-3675
- [12:44] JIRA-helper: http//jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-3675:
- [#SVC-3675] treating "no: modify" as "no rename".
- [12:44] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: Urgh, this one.
- [12:44] Davy Linden: expected behaviour / feature request?
- [12:44] Soft Linden: Ugh. We can't touch this.
- [12:44] Alexa Linden: fr
- [12:45] Alexa Linden: won't finish?
- [12:45] Soft Linden: I know for a fact that some creators check product names in scripts and llDie if it comes up unexpected.
- [12:45] Moon Metty: apparently a no mod object can be renamed, if you add it to the inventory of an object which already has an object by that name
- [12:45] Imaze Rhiano: expected behaviour
- [12:45] Soft Linden: They include the store name in the description, and attempt to use that to squash counterfeiters.
- [12:45] Soft Linden: Yeah. Won't finish.
- [12:45] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:45] Davy Linden: SVC-368
- [12:45] JIRA-helper: http//jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-368:
- [#SVC-368] apply no-trans: textures to objects using the texture selection window, plus other problems with no-trans textures
- [12:46] Squirrel Wood: why check for object names when you can check for object creator...
- [12:46] Techwolf Lupindo: What about renaming mod objects? I can't rename some mod objects.
- [12:46] Soft Linden: That's what that issue is about, Tech
- [12:47] Moon Metty: when a non-full perm is in the inventory of an object, it can't by applied by script either
- [12:47] Techwolf Lupindo: whispers: No is isn't, issues was about "No mod" I was just asking about mod. Is that a seperate jira?
- [12:47] Soft Linden: This no-trans - I think that's deliberate
- [12:47] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: o_o
- [12:47] Yann Dufaux: lolll techworlf
- [12:47] Yann Dufaux: nice try
- [12:47] Moon Metty: hmmm
- [12:47] Soft Linden: Losing my place... tech, you're asking in respect to SVC-3675 ?
- [12:47] Imaze Rhiano: llGetInventoryKey doesn't return texture uuid because then uuid could be shared with everyone
- [12:47] Alexa Linden: :)
- [12:48] Techwolf Lupindo: I'me lagging...
- [12:48] Imaze Rhiano: uuid of no-transfer texture
- [12:48] Techwolf Lupindo: forget it...i'me waaaay to far behind now...
- [12:48] Davy Linden: "I can't rename some mod objects" sounds like a different issue, tech - not sure if there's a jira
- [12:49] Davy Linden: SVC-368: I suspect this is expected behaviour
- [12:49] Soft Linden: Davy - pretty sure, yeah.
- [12:49] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:49] Imaze Rhiano: yes - expected behaviour
- [12:49] Davy Linden: SVC-3811
- [12:49] JIRA-helper: http//jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-3811:
- [#SVC-3811] disabled on: prims that are: inside a prim's bounding box (eg, phantom prim).
- [12:50] Davy Linden: is a dupe of SVC-3806
- [12:50] JIRA-helper: http//jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-3806:
- [#SVC-3806] click/sit doesn't: work anymore inside the bounding box of a prim.
- [12:50] Morgaine Dinova: When a request cannot be done, as in SVC-3675, is the policy to say nothing, or to explain why not on the Jira and then close it?
- [12:51] Soft Linden: Let's import this for discussion
- [12:51] Soft Linden: Might be that we should just ignore potential blocking on sculpties
- [12:51] Davy Linden: import SVC-3806 ?
- [12:51] Soft Linden: SVC-3811
- [12:51] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:51] Davy Linden: and mark 3806 as the dupe?
- [12:51] Soft Linden: 3806 is by design...
- [12:51] Soft Linden: 3811 follows that design, but that design works badly for sculpties
- [12:51] Davy Linden: ah
- [12:51] Dessie Linden: somebody want to address Morgaine's question?
- [12:52] Morgaine Dinova: (just background info)
- [12:52] Techwolf Lupindo: (re:svc-1444: With UTF-8 gettting more used as SL become more International, the limit is going rear its ugly head soon)
- [12:52] Soft Linden: Ah, it would be good to note why on 3876, Morgaine
- [12:52] Soft Linden: er 3675
- [12:52] Alexa Linden: Morgaine, we try to include information on why
- [12:52] Soft Linden: numbers 9.9
- [12:52] Dessie Linden: thanks, soft. I think the "why" is generally noted, isn't it?
- [12:52] Moon Metty: :)
- [12:52] Davy Linden: VWR-14056
- [12:52] JIRA-helper: http//jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-14056:
- [#VWR-14056] becomes severely: distorted whenever the OK button is clicked in preferences, when leaving the Graphics settings in Preferences, aspect ratio gets set to 0.000
- [12:53] Soft Linden: Should be, Dessie
- [12:53] Morgaine Dinova: KK, thanks all, was wondering
- [12:53] Dessie Linden: and thanks to you, too, alexa! :o)
- [12:53] Yann Dufaux: Morgaine@ i have noticed no name part if i modifie by selected part only , is the same bugs?
- [12:54] Soft Linden: Wow, we should import this
- [12:54] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:54] Soft Linden: Figure out what the heck is going on. Never seen that, but a few reports
- [12:54] Davy Linden: VWR-1933
- [12:54] JIRA-helper: http//jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-1933:
- [#VWR-1933] compiler consumes: stack too quickly (random "Syntax Errors" with long/complex scripts)
- [12:55] Morgaine Dinova: Yann: I don't know. I have been annoyed at that inability to rename, but if the design doesn't allowed it, there's no point asking. Ideally everyone should be able to rename EVERYTHING they own of course. One's inventory should not be restricted by the creator of an item we've purchased.
- [12:55] Object: Hello,: Avatar!
- [12:55] Davy Linden: should this be SVC?
- [12:55] Soft Linden: That sample script has a syntax error
- [12:56] Soft Linden: He's got a spare comma before the closing bracket
- [12:56] Davy Linden: expected behaviour?
- [12:57] Soft Linden: that was with the first attached... looking at the others...
- [12:57] Moon Metty: so that's LSL only?
- [12:57] Techwolf Lupindo: With mono cripplling sims, a lot of content creaters are going back to LSL. It would be wise to continue to fix LSL bugs.
- [12:58] Soft Linden: Hrm. These scripts actually have errors.
- [12:58] Soft Linden: I think we can close won't fix, ask them to run the scripts by others.
- [12:58] Imaze Rhiano: it has happened for me with classic LSL - but never with mono - it is know years now - just reminder "HEY DUDE/DUDETTE! THIS IS SL - KEEP SCRIPTS SIMPLE!" :P
- [12:58] Soft Linden: can't reproduce, rather
- [12:58] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:58] Davy Linden: VWR-4422
- [12:58] JIRA-helper: http//jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-4422:
- [#VWR-4422] are corrupted: after rezzing. Sometimes various perms cannot be set, i.e. For Sale. Sometimes they cannot be deleted, taken, or returned. Sometimes they show a null creator and null owner.
- [12:58] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: Ghosted prim.
- [12:58] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: By the sounds of it, anyway.
- [12:59] Moon Metty: or a very slow asset server
- [12:59] Davy Linden: Nov 07
- [12:59] Alexa Linden: nmi
- [12:59] Davy Linden: yeah
- [12:59] Alexa Linden: And that's it for today :)
- [12:59] Davy Linden: one more
- [12:59] Davy Linden: VWR-5145
- [12:59] JIRA-helper: http//jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-5145:
- [#VWR-5145] Missing (Say's: you are in 0) Even if you join another
- [12:59] Moon Metty: heehee
- [12:59] Morgaine Dinova: Yann: I guess the answer is to keep "Creator's Object Name" entirely distinct from the name of the entry in inventory, just like in a Unix directory.
- [12:59] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: I've...never seen this. o_o
- [13:00] Alexa Linden: clear cache?
- [13:00] Soft Linden: Very weird.
- [13:00] Moon Metty: groups missing sometimes goes hand in hand with inability to leave a region
- [13:00] Soft Linden: I'd do contact support, but feel free to add any suggestions on cache clear, etc
- [13:00] Yann Dufaux: Morgaine @ i need to test this bugs with you after if you have little times
- [13:00] Alexa Linden: dec 2008
- [13:00] Soft Linden: Could be a chocking dataserver. But yeah - no comments in a year and a half
- [13:01] Davy Linden: Thanks, everyone!
