  • [16:02] Toysoldier Thor: xstreet ppl are like not in-world to me
  • [16:02] Colossus Linden: Also, with any luck, the region won't restart since that already happened in this morning's session :)
  • [16:02] Colossus Linden: See, it doesn't just happen during live music shows
  • [16:02] XLR8RRICK Hudson: Freindly Greetings all
  • [16:02] Suella Ember: lol - i just noticed Sin's tag and i like it!
  • [16:03] Colossus Linden: Toysoldier &Saikiki, seriously?
  • [16:03] Colossus Linden: You are never in-world?
  • [16:03] CPU Core: lately i been reading the forum/blogs instead of going on SL.. seems like everyones going crazy on there :)

  • [16:04] Colossus Linden: We'll start at 4:05
  • [16:04] Toysoldier Thor: the ppl i commonly talk to in the Merchant forums - i never meet in-world
  • [16:04] Amaranthim Talon: hope i dont sit on anyone
  • [16:04] Toysoldier Thor: Es0 was the first and that was just a couple months ago
  • [16:04] Saikiki Moriguchi: yes ...i have niticed that too...the forums do take away ffrom SL in-world time
  • [16:05] CPU Core: I never comment i just read what everyone panics about
  • [16:05] Suella Ember: I have to confess to having spent too much tim on the forums in the past too - i don't spend as much time there anymore though. I'd rather be creating in-world than allowing myself to get a little stressed out! I do still check in a couple of times a day though
  • [16:06] Amaranthim Talon: i havent been on much since the total collapse of the Undying Thread
  • [16:06] Meta Linden: Thanks everyone, reminder, we do chat transcriptions and post them on the wiki at [1] so if you missed this morning's session now's your chance to read up. :)
  • [16:06] Blue Linden: i thought people only read the forums when they were at work and couldn't log in :O
  • [16:07] Amaranthim Talon: it is havbit forming
  • [16:07] Amaranthim Talon: communty when u cant get in but sometimes the topics grab you
  • [16:07] Suella Ember: Don't get me worng - i think the blogs and forums can be really useful for info and discussion ... its just ... well you know! It gets heated in there sometimes!
  • [16:08] Amaranthim Talon: sadly lately RA is a damn mine field
  • [16:08] Colossus Linden: Allright all, let's get started
  • [16:08] Colossus Linden: Welcome
  • [16:08] Colossus Linden: Thank you all for coming this afternoon (4pm for me in San Francisco)
  • [16:09] Colossus Linden: To start, I'd love to get an idea of where folks are connecting from and for the merchants in the room, what types of products to you specialize in?
  • [16:09] Colossus Linden: This will give us an idea of if we're getting input from a broad spectrum of shoppers and merchants.
  • [16:09] Suella Ember: UK (its midnight - im an insomniac! lol) and clothing here :)
  • [16:10] Amaranthim Talon: I am in Miami- I do ladies accessories and home decor : "Talon Faire, SL's best Eyelashes!" :)
  • [16:10] CPU Core: I am from England and im not a merchant i just buy things or sometimes make
  • [16:10] Suella Ember: offers CPU a cuppa
  • [16:10] Saikiki Moriguchi: its 6pm for me and i do skin mods for now at least until the copybot thing can be taken care of
  • [16:10] XLR8RRICK Hudson: My wife and I make Clothing Furniture and Staind Glass , we Started with the Glass.
  • [16:10] Toysoldier Thor: Canada.... Landscaping sculpties, textures, fart tails, clothing, tapestry, art, clocks
  • [16:10] CPU Core: thanx :)
  • [16:11] Sin Toshi: I am located in California and I make Animations with a focus on Couple Interactions
  • [16:11] Colossus Linden: Well, that's a fairly diverse group I think
  • [16:11] Colossus Linden: Thanks for sharing
  • [16:11] Meta Linden: pipes in- I make bears. *quietly*
  • [16:12] Colossus Linden: So, Since this morning's session, I've changed up my plan for the session a bit.
  • [16:12] CPU Core: all former members of the empire :)
  • [16:12] Suella Ember: don't lets get political! lol
  • [16:12] Colossus Linden: Unlike last office hours where the problem as a whole was small enough to completely tackle, I think we'll have to present the entirety of issues and then choose which ones we want to really focus on and discuss
  • [16:14] Colossus Linden: So, my agenda is
  • [16:14] Colossus Linden: Agenda:
  • 1. Issues
  • * state issues
  • * capture additional issues
  • 2. Project Areas
  • * State project areas
  • * determine which we'll tackle in this session
  • * Discuss issues regarding project areas chosen
  • 3. Solutions
  • * present some options
  • * accept other from crowd options
  • * Discuss Options
  • [16:15] Colossus Linden: So, I'll start by listing the issues which I have noticed or received feedback from the community on already
  • [16:15] Colossus Linden: Issues:
  • 1. Current Xstreet Adult Listing Policies only consider the content of the listing, but not the actual purpose of the item the listing represents
  • * Shoppers who are not interested in mature or adult content are confronted with mature images and listings for goods intended for adult purposes
  • 2. Business shoppers are confronted with non work-safe listings
  • 1. Major problem for business & education based users
  • 3. Shoppers interested in explicit or adult goods must sift through non-adult listings to find what they want.
  • 4. Targeted marketing
  • * Merchants who wish to advertise only to shoppers shopping for explicit content can not.
  • * Merchants who wish to advertise only to shoppers for non-explicit content can not.
  • * listing enhancements may not provide enough value for items on uncensored.xstreetsl.com
  • 5. Category specific issues or item type specific issues
  • * Merchants selling skins must either sell in the uncensored
  • [16:16] Colossus Linden: sorry, let me try that again
  • [16:16] Colossus Linden: Issues:
  • * Major problem for business & education based users
  • [16:16] Colossus Linden: # Category specific issues or item type specific issues
  • * Merchants selling skins must either sell in the uncensored version of Xstreet or cover up the detail of their work
  • * Gorean Content
  • # Some shoppers are unaware that the uncensored site exists or that the categories which are strictly adult exist.
  • * Gentalia for instance
  • # Preferences are not stored when you return to Xstreet
  • [16:17] Colossus Linden: darn it, I'm maxing out the text input
  • [16:17] Colossus Linden: Well, that's a new product issue I've never run into before :)
  • [16:17] Colossus Linden: Those last 3 # signs are 5, 6 & 7
  • [16:17] Siz Linden: fill out a pjira
  • [16:17] XLR8RRICK Hudson: lol
  • [16:17] Colossus Linden: Also, this morning, a few good questions came up
  • [16:18] Suella Ember: its covered by the skin thing really, but just for the record can i tag onto that about "revealing clothing" having to be listed as mature or covered up too - even if its not strictly adult.
  • [16:18] Colossus Linden: Other Questions:
  • 1. What is Mature?
  • 2. What is a risque listings?
  • [16:19] Colossus Linden: Now, I have some idea on how to drive this conversation and keep it productive on such a large subject. Part of that is not trying to solve these issues right off the bat
  • [16:19] Colossus Linden: Let's start by seeing if there are issues related to adult content and policies that are not captured here
  • [16:19] Colossus Linden: So, I'll open up to the crowd for feedback
  • [16:20] Suella Ember: did you get my comment above Colossus?
  • [16:20] Saikiki Moriguchi: one thing i have noticed u have toturn on the adult search option every time u log in to xstreet
  • [16:20] XLR8RRICK Hudson: For me Adult content just gets in the way as we dont have any adult things
  • [16:21] Colossus Linden: no, could you re-submit it suella?
  • [16:21] Suella Ember: yep good point Saikiki - would be nice if that could be remembered
  • [16:21] Suella Ember: oh ok 1 sec colossus
  • [16:21] Suella Ember: [16:18
  • [16:21] Amaranthim Talon: i can easily not see what choose not to see and so am not bothered by adult content
  • [16:21] Colossus Linden: Saikiki, is that a matter of the adult preference not being stored or a different issue?
  • [16:22] Colossus Linden: for XLR8RRICK, adult content itself is an issue
  • [16:22] Sin Toshi: once you have chosen to be in adult section, is it necessary to have big red warning on each and every page...I'm not there by accident
  • [16:22] Saikiki Moriguchi: i just would like my choice to be remembered
  • [16:22] Toysoldier Thor: Im just thankful none of my items qualify as "adult content", there are enough hurdles in xstreet to get your item noticed... having the further restriction of the adult content would really annoy me if i were one of those merchants
  • [16:22] Saikiki Moriguchi: it can be a pain
  • [16:22] Colossus Linden: and that is a valid viewpoint, though I don't plan on getting rid of adult content :)
  • [16:22] Colossus Linden: Thanks Sin, red warning on page
  • [16:23] Suella Ember: I would also appreciate clarification on this .....
  • [16:23] Amaranthim Talon: Agreed with Toysoldier- it's hard nough as it is
  • [16:23] Colossus Linden: oh yes Suella, that came up this morning. Thanks, let me add it in.
  • [16:23] XLR8RRICK Hudson: I do feel Adult Content should be seperated from the rest
  • [16:23] Toysoldier Thor: as a customer.... the constant "slap in your face" that you are in adult mature content and asking me - the customer - over and over if i am sure i want to see adult content .... totally annoying and frustrating too
  • [16:23] Suella Ember: (sorry - hae to use some "rude" terms! lol) but what exactly is "adult" when it comes to body parts. For example - there seems to be debate over whether a bit of buttock is acceptable or not!
  • [16:24] Colossus Linden: For that matter, what other categories or specific types of items have really had problems with our adult policies?
  • [16:24] Amaranthim Talon: it already s- u dont ask ot se adult content you dont-
  • [16:24] Colossus Linden: I know of Skins & revealing clothing
  • [16:25] Suella Ember: i guess thinks like "sex huds" may fall into it? Stuff where its a hud for adult animations but may not necessarily show or talk about it explicitly?
  • [16:25] Suella Ember: Possibly more your area Sin?
  • [16:25] Colossus Linden: Thanks Toysoldier, it's worth emphasizing that our current system is a hurdle to getting adult products noticed.
  • [16:26] CPU Core: I think adult content should be seperated too.. have its own website like it has its own continent
  • [16:26] Colossus Linden: Also Toysoldier, the adult policies won't be meant to be a hurdle to adult content. There are 2 purposes and this came up this morning. 1. To enable shoppers to not see adult content. 2. to enable merchants to better market adult content
  • [16:26] XLR8RRICK Hudson: I agree CPU
  • [16:27] Amaranthim Talon: agree with CPU
  • [16:27] Colossus Linden: Suella, clarification on...?
  • [16:27] CPU Core: then you can avoid the iddues with paypal
  • [16:27] Amaranthim Talon: then those tht dont wntit dont bother those that do and visa versa-
  • [16:27] Saikiki Moriguchi: i like the separate websit idea =)
  • [16:27] CPU Core: *issues
  • [16:27] Sin Toshi: I agree, Suella. I am confused on how sex huds are not adul. Hey, I just work here, tho
  • [16:27] XLR8RRICK Hudson: Adult is segregated in world and it should be in XSL
  • [16:28] Suella Ember: Well - things where there are adult animations involved, but do now eexplicitly show an adult animation or talk about sex acts or anyhting. Its sell and adult item, but not necessarily breaking listing rules
  • [16:28] Colossus Linden: Suella, one issue is setting our limits on Xstreet and making them very clear so that the merchants have good guidelines
  • [16:28] Suella Ember: excellent - thats what i'd like to see. clear giudelines on what is and isnt acceptable for all audiences :)
  • [16:29] Sin Toshi: same here...I don't have any beef to settle on what constitutes adult..just want clear guidelines so I can conform and make good biz decisions
  • [16:30] Colossus Linden: So, Sin asks a good question. I want to table it for a minute.
  • [16:30] Suella Ember: There is a minor problem in that i guess - in that how to you be explicit about what is and isnt acceptable without being ... well, explicit! And the guidleines have to be ok for all audiences! lol
  • [16:31] Xugu Madison: A thought did also wander through my head... do we perhaps want a category of content on the opposite side, things the merchant has specifically marked as suitable for all (or something). So in a business environment or if someone doesn't want to see any sort of border-line content for any other reason, there can be a much more locked down version of the site they can use?
  • [16:31] Colossus Linden: Awesome to hear folks. You nead clear guidelines
  • [16:31] Saikiki Moriguchi: maybe if we knew the limits of what can be called pg and not be adult ...we could have a better understanding of what adult content is
  • [16:32] Colossus Linden: Xugu, I think that's a valid question and one of the topics we'll consider shortly
  • [16:32] Colossus Linden: Alright, we're at 4:32
  • [16:33] Colossus Linden: And I think we've captured most of the obvious issues
  • [16:33] Suella Ember: Sorry to keep throwing thing sin the mix - but another issue is the distinction between how we look at things in-world and how we look at them on Xstreet. In world we refer to PG, mature and adult but the terminollogy on xstreet is just PG and mature. I think that causes some confusion.
  • [16:33] Colossus Linden: So, I've spent some time thinking about what separate sub-projects an adult content solution needs to consider
  • [16:33] Colossus Linden: I'll present those
  • [16:34] XLR8RRICK Hudson: I see the problem in Showing a Skin and in its natural form it is Nude , should it cover the explicit parts or not
  • [16:34] Colossus Linden: And once I do, we'll see if I'm missing an area and we'll decide which are most important to discuss in the time we have remaining
  • [16:34] CPU Core: I think skin should be left alone
  • [16:34] CPU Core: Noone gets offended by skins being on sale
  • [16:35] Colossus Linden: Projects:
  • 1. Policy update
  • 2. Rating System (how many ratings, what are they, clearly defined)
  • 3. Defining specific problematic categories or types of items (Gorean, Skins, etc.)
  • 4. User Interface for viewing what one chooses (PG only, PG+Adult, Adult only)
  • 5. View preferences being remembered
  • 6. Presentation of adult content pages (warnings)
  • 7. Adult section being marketed to users (opt in, opt out, how to inform users of uncensored site & categorie)
  • 8. Targeted marketing system for our merchants (PG only, Adult only).
  • [16:35] XLR8RRICK Hudson: you cant generalize that for all people CPU
  • [16:35] Amaranthim Talon: u wd be surprised- there is alwys someone looking for a reason to be offended
  • [16:35] CPU Core: Has LL ever had any complaints about skins being on sale in PG areas?
  • [16:36] Colossus Linden: CPU, I don't know
  • [16:36] Suella Ember: Correct me if im wrong - but skins can be on mature land in-world, but not PG right?
  • [16:36] Colossus Linden: So, do those 8 projects cover all of the issues we've discussed?
  • [16:36] Saikiki Moriguchi: when i have sold skins ...i didn't even consider putting it in pg
  • [16:36] Suella Ember: this is where the distinction between PG, mature and adult gets confusing! lol
  • [16:36] Colossus Linden: If not, what am I missing?
  • [16:36] Colossus Linden: I'll wait a second to let you all read those.
  • [16:37] Suella Ember: Those 8 seem to bradly cover everything for me i think colossus
  • [16:37] Suella Ember: broadly*
  • [16:37] Colossus Linden: Okay, so, we're going to try something new right now.
  • [16:38] Colossus Linden: If you have a preference, what are the 2 or 3 (by number) that you'd like us to discuss?
  • [16:38] CPU Core: 1
  • [16:38] Suella Ember: numbers 2 and 3 would be my choice i think
  • [16:39] Toysoldier Thor: 2
  • [16:39] XLR8RRICK Hudson: 4
  • [16:39] CPU Core: yeah 2 would be nice
  • [16:39] Saikiki Moriguchi: 2,3,&5
  • [16:40] XLR8RRICK Hudson: 4,7 and 8 for me
  • [16:40] Amaranthim Talon: four is a good one- sorry hard to keep reading back
  • [16:40] Suella Ember: lol - thak covers all of them then! hehe
  • [16:40] Colossus Linden: Alright, 2 has the most votes
  • [16:40] Amaranthim Talon: but clearly defined policy guidelins is imperative
  • [16:40] Colossus Linden: followed by 3 and 4. so we'll start with 2.
  • [16:41] Colossus Linden: And we'll try to keep discussion short and on-topic.
  • [16:41] Sin Toshi: 7 & 8 are very intriguing. Maybe a quick mention of is this likely ...or just a pipedream
  • [16:41] Colossus Linden: alright, what we've shown is that all of these areas are important... hehe and we may need some followup sessions
  • [16:41] Colossus Linden: Alright, let's start with 2, a rating system
  • [16:42] Colossus Linden: A couple of large questions have come up
  • [16:42] Suella Ember: i think 7 and 8 are important, but we need to clearly define some of the others before 7 and 8 can be reality
  • [16:42] CPU Core: 5 star = pornographic
  • [16:42] Toysoldier Thor: this whole issue of the Xstreet ecommerce service for us merchants to our customers having to deal with Adult/Mature content really comes down to LL's corp philosophies on the topic and their fear of Regulatory attention if they dont show they are doing something about it. So.... whey doesnt LL outsource the ecommerce of non-PG items to a vendor that has no fear of this?
  • [16:42] Colossus Linden: 2 ratings vs. 3 ratings
  • [16:42] Colossus Linden: What are the ratings and what do they mean
  • [16:42] Colossus Linden: One conceptual point suggested were "safe for work" and "not safe for work"
  • [16:43] CPU Core: oh
  • [16:43] Colossus Linden: Hey Pink, glad to have you :)
  • [16:43] Toysoldier Thor: xstreet can deal with PG market and another vendor can deal with the more sensitive items
  • [16:43] Suella Ember: waves to Pink
  • [16:43] Amaranthim Talon: Frankly one needs common sense- dont look at adult stuff at work end of story- it works fine like taht now really
  • [16:43] Sin Toshi: i think two ratings is better than three...three divides the content too much and the (most extreme rating has the risk of becoming Zindra'd)
  • [16:44] Suella Ember: see to me - there is possibly 3 broad levels "pornographic" "revealing" (think skins and lingerie) and purely PG
  • [16:45] Suella Ember: Sin's oint is a good one though having said that!
  • [16:45] Colossus Linden: Amaranthim, I'm less thinking about the shopper and more thinking about a basis for how our merchants would categorize items
  • [16:45] Xugu Madison: nods to Suella
  • [16:45] Amaranthim Talon: well what i mean is
  • [16:45] CPU Core: You risk forcing people to go to adult sime to buy a skin
  • [16:45] CPU Core: on SL
  • [16:45] Amaranthim Talon: up to now one categorzes items and uses descriptons- same reason one can find things- if u do not serch for adult terminology- u shdnt be able to find it-
  • [16:45] Suella Ember: i think what i mena is - to me a skin should not be in the same category as "pornographic" stuff. But is it ok to be in PG on not? If the answer is not that i guess we have to have 3 categories
  • [16:46] Colossus Linden: Sin, that's an opinion that I know many share. What about the shopper who wants to view lingirie but not some BDSM equipment?
  • [16:46] Colossus Linden: That was my concern with only 2 ratings.
  • [16:46] Colossus Linden: and Suella made my point way better and way faster :)
  • [16:46] Suella Ember: lol - thats just cos i talk to much Colossus :)
  • [16:47] Amaranthim Talon: IIn Sl i could see how u might happen upon somethng but not on xstreet- really.
  • [16:47] Sin Toshi: I agree that it is a valid concern. But that concern has to be balanced by other concerns...like making the marketplace usable and not overly complex
  • [16:47] Suella Ember: the thing is Amaranthim is that you can accidentally fall on something if people keyword spam or don't list properly, but thats a whole other debate! lol
  • [16:48] Colossus Linden: Definitely agree Sin
  • [16:48] Sin Toshi: err...not a very well stated comment..but you get my dirft :)
  • [16:48] Amaranthim Talon: ah yes- i had not really thought about KW Spam-
  • [16:48] Amaranthim Talon: as i try to use pertinent KW had notthough about the misuse
  • [16:49] Sin Toshi: also, if the categories are enforced and monitored, the lingerie/torture device crossover should be minimal
  • [16:49] Colossus Linden: So, Sin (or anyone else) if we had only 2 ratings, how would you split them?
  • [16:49] Cherry Blossom: Tree : Falling Blossoms ON
  • [16:49] Saikiki Moriguchi: true..KW spam would be another issue...like a human should doubke check if an irem gets flagged for spamming or tm violation
  • [16:49] Suella Ember: I know this isnt the topic at hand - but that does raise an importnat point. Listign abuses (kw spam etc) do need to be stamped out for things like ratings to be effective
  • [16:49] Sin Toshi: PG and everything else...SFW/NSFW
  • [16:49] Colossus Linden: "pornographic" is clearnly adult. PG is clearl not. But what about the "revealing" (stealing Suella's terms).
  • [16:50] Colossus Linden: and I am aware that there is more than just pornographic items that are adult. It's just an area that people understand.
  • [16:50] CPU Core: i still think Mature is suitable for skins
  • [16:50] CPU Core: and lingerie
  • [16:50] Amaranthim Talon: agree
  • [16:50] Suella Ember: see to me revealing is PG - becuase (here in the uk anyway) you can walk past a shop with lingerie models in the high street and you can buy a "newspaper" (i use the term loosly cos its the Sun! lol) from your local shop with exposed breasts on page 3! but i apprciate its different in the US
  • [16:51] Amaranthim Talon: hmm- if very revealing lingerie- but questin
  • [16:51] XLR8RRICK Hudson: a skin in its natural form is frontal nudity unless the parts are covered
  • [16:51] Amaranthim Talon: what about the folks selling Victorian lingerie? Bloomers and pantaloons wd need to be listed as Mature?
  • [16:51] CPU Core: Lingerie with holes for nipples to stick through maybe not :)
  • [16:51] Colossus Linden: being a worldwide product has it's challenges and this is one of them
  • [16:51] Colossus Linden: Alright, final thoughts on this topic?
  • [16:51] Colossus Linden: we're at 4:51, and I'd like to get some other areas in.
  • [16:52] Suella Ember: my final thought would be - skins and revealing lingerie should be PG but if they cant (for whatever legal or moral reasons) than we should have 3 categories
  • [16:52] Colossus Linden: alright, Skins came up in this discussion and # 3 is important and really requires merchant input
  • [16:52] Colossus Linden: 3. Defining specific problematic categories or types of items (Gorean, Skins, etc.)
  • [16:52] Amaranthim Talon: whoa.. how does one define morality? Whole other kettle of fish :)
  • [16:53] Suella Ember: well yeah - thats why i wasnt specific! lol
  • [16:53] Saikiki Moriguchi: lol
  • [16:53] Pink Linden: morality is definitely not something we try to decide
  • [16:53] Amaranthim Talon: Hey Sassy :)
  • [16:53] Sassy Romano: hi
  • [16:53] Pink Linden: doesn't have time in the day to decide morality. O_0
  • [16:53] Amaranthim Talon: lol
  • [16:53] Colossus Linden: let's avoid the morality issue
  • [16:53] Colossus Linden: Else I'll need to get out my priest avatar
  • [16:53] Suella Ember: Pink has seen celery in my .... actually ... nevermind! lol
  • [16:54] XLR8RRICK Hudson: lol
  • [16:54] Amaranthim Talon: tries to avoid Morality as often as possible
  • [16:54] Colossus Linden: So, for skins
  • [16:54] CPU Core: Yeah when a guy walks into a shop to buy a penis you dont expect to be finding dogs penis so shouldnt happen on Xstreet :P
  • [16:54] Toysoldier Thor: colossus...
  • [16:54] Toysoldier Thor: how bout the merchant that has a mix of PG and Mature items in xstreet... unlike me... they cannot give 1 link to show a customer all my items in xstreet
  • [16:54] Colossus Linden: we had some suggestions this morning:
  • [16:54] Amaranthim Talon: but what if dogs are shopping? Dont be anit canine CPU! ;)
  • [16:55] Colossus Linden: 1. they stay adult.
  • [16:55] Saikiki Moriguchi: very good point cpu...lol
  • [16:55] Sassy Romano: is this still just getting to the end of the "skins" discussion?
  • [16:55] Colossus Linden: 2. They are all PG (even with nudity)
  • [16:55] CPU Core: Dogs dont have human rights :P
  • [16:55] Colossus Linden: 3. cover them up and list them as non-adult
  • [16:55] Blue Linden: interesting
  • [16:55] Colossus Linden: 4. show covered up images by default, but give merchants the ability to attach adult images only shown to adult enabled shoppers
  • [16:56] Amaranthim Talon: that is a good option
  • [16:56] Saikiki Moriguchi: yep
  • [16:56] XLR8RRICK Hudson: yes
  • [16:56] Sin Toshi: I like 4
  • [16:56] Suella Ember: yep - i can totally see the logic of 4
  • [16:56] CPU Core: Skins should stay PG
  • [16:57] CPU Core: We are humans born with skins.. having a natural skin of our own is important
  • [16:57] Suella Ember: in fact ..... could it be coded into the "click here for more images" bit to prompt the adult warning if necessary? (sorry techie question you probably cant answer right now!)
  • [16:57] XLR8RRICK Hudson: I think its the display of skins thats the issue
  • [16:58] Amaranthim Talon: alrght here's one to throw a wrench into things- what about statues?
  • [16:58] Amaranthim Talon: if someone sells a nude statue?
  • [16:58] Suella Ember: ohhhh - intersting!
  • [16:58] Toysoldier Thor: snikker
  • [16:58] Amaranthim Talon: not a ornografic image
  • [16:58] Toysoldier Thor: i was wondering when that was gonna come up
  • [16:58] Amaranthim Talon: say David or such
  • [16:58] Suella Ember: that wrench just got stuck in the cogs! lol
  • [16:58] Amaranthim Talon: oops
  • [16:59] Toysoldier Thor: no statue of David (copyright and mature violation
  • [16:59] Colossus Linden: 5. LL provides a set of underwear which is "minimal coverage" and if a skin maker puts that on his/her skin for the marketing photos, it is okay to be on the main site (not uncensored).
  • [16:59] Toysoldier Thor:
  • [16:59] Amaranthim Talon: see though?
  • [16:59] Amaranthim Talon:  ;)
  • [16:59] Colossus Linden: I'm actually rather curious to thoughts on #5 that I just put up.
  • [16:59] Amaranthim Talon: there is always something someone wants to control or be offended about
  • [16:59] Sassy Romano: I don't see that skins are an issue, I said it earlier, skins can be delivered as a demo, most people will not buy a skin without a demo anyway. Skins are just NOT an adult content issue, or don't need to be, lets get xstreet sorted so that adult content vendors are NOT disadvantaged as they are at present, THAT has to be the bigger issue and it's far less single issue than "skins"
  • [16:59] XLR8RRICK Hudson: like that #5
  • [16:59] Suella Ember: i guess the answer most people would give to 5 is - "it depends on what said underwear looks like" lol
  • [16:59] Saikiki Moriguchi: ilike the 5 idea
  • [16:59] Blue Linden: the art vs. pr0n arguement was being waged when David was first displayed....we're unlikely to answer that one anytime soon ;p
  • [17:00] Colossus Linden: sorry, I'll be back. I've got to change the statue categorie to be adult only :p.. just kidding
  • [17:00] Amaranthim Talon: not a skin seller and am sure wd not buy it on xstreet anyway - so it wdnt matter to me about the underwear- seems a tad kindergarten though
  • [17:00] Blue Linden: lol
  • [17:00] Suella Ember: and it would also beg the question - if the LL provided underwear is ok - where is the line drawn at user created underwear.
