Provides a set of controls to help you move your camera view around the Second Life world. Press Esc at any time to snap your camera view back to your avatar.

Undock this window from the task panel by clicking the title bar and dragging it upward. To reattach it to the task panel, click Dock Dock.

Preset Views Preset Views   Sets your camera position:
  • Front View Front View - In front of your avatar, looking back at it.
  • Side View Side View - Over your avatar's left shoulder.
  • Rear View Rear View - Default position behind your avatar.


Orbit, Zoom, Pan Orbit, Zoom, Pan   Controls camera position relative to its focus:
  • Orbit Orbit - Orbits your view around whatever you are currently looking at. Use the left set of arrow controls to orbit up, down, left or right.
  • Zoom - Use the center slider to zoom your camera in or out.
  • Pan Pan - Pans your camera's position relative to its current rotation. Use the right set of arrow controls to pan up, down, left, or right.


Camera modes Camera modes   Controls camera viewing modes:
  • Object View Object View - Click and hold your mouse over any object or terrain to focus on it; then move the mouse left and right to orbit your view around the object, or up and down to zoom in and out. Activate this mode temporarily at any time by holding the Alt key. Press Esc to leave mouselook mode.
  • Mouselook View Mouselook View - Behind your avatar's eyes: Move your mouse to look around freely, and your avatar turns to face whatever direction you look. Press Esc to return to World View.
