  • [15:07] TankMaster Finesmith: yes, there I am
  • [15:07] Kallista Destiny: Hi Tank
  • [15:07] TankMaster Finesmith: ㋡
  • [15:08] Oskar LindenOskar Linden clears his throat
  • [15:08] Fancy Greeter: Maestro Tester has arrived!
  • [15:08] Rex Cronon: the smell of the feet makes the noses run away:)
  • [15:08] Oskar Linden: Monday was a holiday
  • [15:08] Oskar Linden: no one worked

  • [15:08] Gecko Linden: ossm
  • [15:08] Fine Caliber: !! yum
  • [15:08] Oskar Linden: on Tuesday there was no release because of that little mistake we made the week before
  • [15:08] Kallista Destiny: KIM-CHI!!!
  • [15:09] Oskar Linden: that whole forgetting to merge in trunk to the RC's before deploy
  • [15:09] Oskar Linden: whooooops
  • [15:09] Oskar Linden: so we took care of that this week
  • [15:09] TankMaster Finesmith: doh
  • [15:09] Gecko Linden: heh
  • [15:09] TankMaster Finesmith: you're doing it wrong!
  • [15:09] TankMaster Finesmith: :D
  • [15:09] Oskar Linden: each of the RC's are exactly what they were before
  • [15:09] Kris Spade: Well at least you fixed it :D
  • [15:09] Oskar Linden: but now they have a merge with trunk
  • [15:09] Oskar Linden: so all is good
  • [15:09] Oskar Linden: it was kind of funny though
  • [15:09] Oskar Linden: because people were compalining of issues in the RC before that
  • [15:09] Oskar Linden: then afterwards they were complaining of the same issues
  • [15:10] Homeless: what exactly is trunk?
  • [15:10] Oskar Linden: but it was technically impossible
  • [15:10] Oskar Linden: software development is like a tree
  • [15:10] Oskar Linden: a physical tree
  • [15:10] Oskar Linden: Trunk is the main part
  • [15:10] Kris Spade: Yeah, if you don't water it, it does
  • [15:10] Kris Spade: lol
  • [15:10] Kris Spade: *dies
  • [15:10] Kris Spade: :P
  • [15:10] Oskar Linden: in our case that is the main second life channel on Agni
  • [15:10] Oskar Linden: we call it trunk
  • [15:10] Oskar Linden: it is our most stable code
  • [15:11] Oskar Linden: everyone who wants to add new code adds it into a branch
  • [15:11] Homeless: ok thankx
  • [15:11] Oskar Linden: if that branch passes RC it gets pulled into trunk
  • [15:11] Oskar Linden: then it becomes trunk
  • [15:11] Ima Mechanique: oskar, did you see the cooment to https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SCR-6?
  • [15:11] Flame of Jira: [#SCR-6] llGetSubString can produce results that crash Mono scripts https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SCR-6
  • [15:11] Oskar Linden: Ima! we're following the agenda
  • [15:11] Oskar Linden: :-)
  • [15:11] Ima Mechanique: that agni now breaks llDeleteSubstring
  • [15:12] Ima Mechanique: okay, okay
  • [15:12] Oskar Linden: edit the agenda and add it to any other items
  • [15:12] Oskar Linden: I'll get to it at the open part at the end
  • [15:12] Oskar Linden: that's really it for updates this week.
  • [15:12] Oskar Linden: how many people got a chance to mess with the pathfinding fun?
  • [15:12] Marigold Devin: Osprey did.
  • [15:12] Homeless: yes!
  • [15:12] Marigold Devin: Is Osprey here?
  • [15:13] Jonathan Yap: Me!
  • [15:13] FireFly Chair 1.0.30: Sorry, only the owner of this chair can access it's admin-menu
  • [15:13] Ima Mechanique: yup
  • [15:13] Homeless: It's a lot of fun... I was herding slow moving evade cubes into a pen
  • [15:13] Jonathan Yap: Filed many jiras, too, and a few meta-jiras
  • [15:13] Oskar Linden: awesome
  • [15:13] Oskar Linden: if you filed a jira you are awesome!
  • [15:14] Oskar Linden: what do you guys think of the feature?
  • [15:14] Jonathan Yap: It is going to be a huge hit
  • [15:14] Homeless: It's great!
  • [15:14] Marigold Devin: It adds a fun new dimension to SL I think
  • [15:14] Kris Spade: Pathfinding is working pretty nice so far, looking forward to when we can use it in X,y,Z space instead of just X,Y space.
  • [15:14] Oskar Linden: marigold, you can now make your own ghosts
  • [15:14] Marigold Devin: stoppp it LOL
  • [15:14] Homeless: I envision swarms of rats everywhere :D
  • [15:14] Jonathan Yap: Best new feature in years, easy to use, no viewer changes needed, well, not at the base level
  • [15:15] Marigold Devin: ghosts in my house. ace
  • [15:15] Jonathan Yap: You can have things in the z level if you use invisible floor prims
  • [15:15] TankMaster Finesmith: I think its odd that LL says they are not working on new features, only big fixes, then come out with this :P
  • [15:15] Oskar Linden: awesome. I'm glad you guys got a chance to get out and mess around
  • [15:15] Marigold Devin: It was quite a surprise
  • [15:15] Oskar Linden: if you haven't yet get out here: https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Pathfinding_in_Second_Life
  • [15:15] Rex Cronon: too bad we don't have access to the nav mesh
  • [15:16] Oskar Linden: we talked about this last year Tank
  • [15:16] Oskar Linden: Rodvik blogged about it
  • [15:16] TankMaster Finesmith: oh I know, its a nice feature
  • [15:17] Oskar Linden: make sure you pass this link on to anyone who might be interested in checking it out: https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Pathfinding_in_Second_Life
  • [15:17] Oskar Linden: I know you guys know everyone
  • [15:17] Oskar Linden: :-p
  • [15:17] Kris Spade: THe pathfinding functions seem pretty solid so far. Happy to see that. Will be great to us them in Z space and skybox areas not on terrain.
  • [15:17] SonicAnd Miles: this is going to add a whole new evolution to SL :)
  • [15:17] Oskar Linden: cool
  • [15:18] Oskar Linden: alright. well let's introduce our Guest of Honor(tm)
  • [15:18] Oskar Linden: Mr Gecko Linden
  • [15:18] MartinRJ Fayray: we'd need some way to access the complete mesh via script (like llGetNavmesh)
  • [15:18] Oskar Linden: please introduce yourself Gecko
  • [15:18] Gecko Linden: hello
  • [15:18] Homeless: It would be nice if the createcharacter function cleared the old behavior automatically, would save a line of code... the deletecharacter you should do first
  • [15:19] SonicAnd Miles: hi
  • [15:19] MartinRJ Fayray: because there are already some bots who wander through sims, trying to simulate that function
  • [15:19] Rex Cronon: hi gecko
  • [15:19] Gecko Linden: I am Bill, AKA Gecko Linden. If you have questions about the Received Items folder, that is why I am here today.
  • [15:19] Oskar Linden: that is what we have to talk about today
  • [15:19] Oskar Linden: Gecko please tell us what that is
  • [15:19] Oskar Linden: and what it means
  • [15:20] Gecko Linden: The recieved Items folder is a folder/ tab under your usual inventory folders. It serves to recieve anything new to your inventory. Anything you purchase, anything you create and take, anything given to you.
  • [15:21] TankMaster Finesmith: means more space taken up on the inventory floater :P
  • [15:21] Gecko Linden: Things that will go BACK into your regular folders are things which you rez from inventory, and take back.
  • [15:21] Rex Cronon: does that mean llGiveInventoryList will no longer work?
  • [15:21] Gecko Linden: Things you create in inventory, clothing, notes, etc., those will also show up where you expect them.
  • [15:21] Gecko Linden: reading
  • [15:21] Homeless: I don't like the create and take part, then I have to move it to my objects folder, adds a step
  • [15:22] Ima Mechanique: indeed homeless. I can see RI folder getting VERY bloated as people DON'T reorganise their purchases
  • [15:22] Gecko Linden: llGiveInventoryList delivers to the named folder (in your script). That folder will indeed show up in RI.
  • [15:22] Draconis Neurocam: is there an option to turn the functionality off?
  • [15:23] Kallista Destiny: sighs....
  • [15:23] Gecko Linden: There is not, draconis.
  • [15:23] Rex Cronon: what is RI?
  • [15:23] Oskar Linden: Received Items
  • [15:23] Jonathan Yap: Is there a way to move things to empty system folders (they do not show when empty, a recent viewer change)?
  • [15:23] Gecko Linden: Sorry, Received Items.
  • [15:23] Rex Cronon: i see:)
  • [15:23] Oskar Linden: this is the Received Items blog post: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Inworld/Received-Items-Beta-Launch/ba-p/1397377
  • [15:24] MartinRJ Fayray: Bill is it a folder OR a tab?
  • [15:24] Jonathan Yap: Or are folders such as Scripts, Sounds, etc. now basically orphans to new users?
  • [15:24] Flip Idlemind: So, if I take on object, it will go into Received Items instead of or in addition to the normal "Objects" folder?
  • [15:24] MartinRJ Fayray: You said folder/tab
  • [15:24] TankMaster Finesmith: see the image in that link
  • [15:24] Fine Caliber: if you receive a folder, will the folder show up in the RI section?
  • [15:24] Fine Caliber: or is it just for objects and packed items
  • [15:24] Marigold Devin: I think for new users it might help them organise better, or get into the habit of organising.
  • [15:24] Gecko Linden: MartinRJ, its a folder, with an aria you can expand/contract.
  • [15:24] Gecko Linden: reading
  • [15:25] MartinRJ Fayray: so it is als a folder inside the regular inventory?
  • [15:25] MartinRJ Fayray: great stuff, then
  • [15:25] Oskar Linden: if you want to discuss the features you can in the forums here: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Merchants/Try-out-the-new-Received-Items-Beta/td-p/1397409
  • [15:25] Gecko Linden: Jonathan - that is another issue - You can create an new item of the type/folder, the folder will come back.
  • [15:25] Chieron Tenk: ugh. you really like to use up window space
  • [15:25] Gecko Linden: F L I P - yes.
  • [15:25] Jonathan Yap: Thanks Gecko, I will have to experiment a bit
  • [15:25] Gecko Linden: FIne - A folder will also be delivered to RI.
  • [15:26] Flip Idlemind: Yes to what? I asked "instead of" or "in addition to"?
  • [15:26] Fine Caliber: oh okay ㋡
  • [15:26] Gecko Linden: MartinRJ, it is a folder - shows up as a folder in the Recent tab.
  • [15:26] MartinRJ Fayray: did you knwo you cannot drag&drop items from the recent tab to your inventory
  • [15:26] Jonathan Yap: Do you have a rough idea of when this will go to Agni?
  • [15:27] Ima Mechanique: JY end of March-ish
  • [15:27] Homeless: Is it kive in the pathfinding test sims?
  • [15:27] Homeless: *live
  • [15:27] Gecko Linden: F L I P - it will be delivered to the RI folder if it is something that has not been in inventory before - you did not rez from inventory.
  • [15:27] Gecko Linden: If it is something new to your inventory - it will be delivered to RI.
  • [15:27] Fine Caliber: martin, to get around that you have to open up another inventory window.
  • [15:27] Kris Spade: Is this some sort of way to cut down on unnecceary inventory objects? So if we receive a new item do we have to drag it from received items to our main inv? Just curious what this is for ㋡
  • [15:27] Gecko Linden: reading
  • [15:28] Oskar Linden: as of today we have a beta for you to try of this feature on ADITI
  • [15:28] Oskar Linden: the beta test details are here: https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/ReceivedItemsBetaTesting
  • [15:28] Flip Idlemind: I don't think I care for that idea. If I build a new cube on the ground and take it...I expect it to show up at the top of the list in my "Objects" folder
  • [15:28] Oskar Linden: Flip: discuss that in the forums: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Merchants/Try-out-the-new-Received-Items-Beta/td-p/1397409
  • [15:28] Marigold Devin: I think for new users it will be useful, we get a ton of people asking where things have gone to in their inventory, new purchases from marketplace esp.
  • [15:28] Homeless: I ran into somewhere and yes, I had to open another inv window to move my item to my objects folder. It was a pain
  • [15:29] Kris Spade: So all new things we get go to received items first? Then we have to move it to our main inv if we want it? How long do things retain in received inventory tab?
  • [15:29] MartinRJ Fayray: Yes I like the idea, too. But it will be necessary that you give us the option to drag & drop items from one inventory TAB to another (e.g. from recent tab to inventory tab, or from RI to inventory tab)
  • [15:29] Gecko Linden: Yeah, best to put that fedback, and any additional about the feature, in the forums.
  • [15:29] Draconis Neurocam: does the recieved items folder have the same limit of other folders that you can only see around 10k items in it at a time?
  • [15:29] Fine Caliber: for old users as well. i think i'll find it useful, though i treat my recent tab in this way. i'm always adjusting the recent items filter
  • [15:30] Gecko Linden: Kris - you can rez and wear from the RI folder.
  • [15:30] Oskar Linden: this is the time to get your feedback in
  • [15:30] Gecko Linden: They will stay in the RI folder until you move them.
  • [15:30] Oskar Linden: please make use of the forums
  • [15:30] Marigold Devin: Yes, Fine, I use recent tab same way, and hutch everything over to dated things to unpack folders.
  • [15:30] Flip Idlemind: I shall :D
  • [15:30] Oskar Linden: but be polite and have logically constructed arguments
  • [15:30] Flip Idlemind: (Make use of the forums I mean)
  • [15:30] Oskar Linden: :-)
  • [15:30] Marigold Devin: Yes. Forums. Great.
  • [15:30] Fine CaliberFine Caliber nods
  • [15:31] Kris Spade: So the RI folder, items in there, never expire?
  • [15:31] Fine Caliber: perhaps then, for me, the RI folder will be a bit redundant
  • [15:31] Gecko Linden: Kris - no, they never do.
  • [15:31] Marigold Devin: Anything that might help with organisation of inventory has got to be worth a try.
  • [15:31] Kris Spade: Ok as long as it's not designed to be some "temp folder" I think I can adapt :P
  • [15:31] MartinRJ Fayray: Bill can one drag&drap and copy&past stuff from RI to inventory?
  • [15:31] MartinRJ Fayray: *drop xD
  • [15:32] Larre Leborski: Indeed.
  • [15:32] Oskar Linden: paste*
  • [15:32] Chieron Tenk: somehow this really only sounds like it will replace Objects and all other system folders for lazy people,
  • [15:32] MartinRJ Fayray: =) ty
  • [15:32] Flip Idlemind: If I'm understanding this right, does this also make the "Lost and Found" folder obsolete?
  • [15:32] Draconis Neurocam: is RI a necessary step to direct delivery?
  • [15:32] Oskar LindenOskar Linden draps all of MartinFJ's folders
  • [15:32] Gecko Linden: Martin - yes you can.
  • [15:32] Theresa Tennyson: Are we getting the "move" function from the "Simple Inventory" viewer?
  • [15:32] Gecko LindenGecko Linden just verified with the dev - there is no upper limit to the number of items in RI.
  • [15:33] Draconis Neurocam: interesting
  • [15:33] Oskar LindenOskar Linden bets there is
  • [15:33] Ima Mechanique: except what the sim can handle telling you
  • [15:33] Oskar LindenOskar Linden commands you to find the upper limits
  • [15:33] Marigold Devin: Just for the "fun" of it, do LL have an ideal limit on number of items a person should have max in their inventory?
  • [15:33] Gecko Linden: to add - no different from the limit on any other folder.
  • [15:33] Gecko Linden: hahaha
  • [15:33] Draconis Neurocam: right
  • [15:33] Gecko Linden: FIND THEM!!!
  • [15:33] Oskar Linden: an ideal limit? less than 12
  • [15:33] Kris Spade: So basically things will stack up in the RI folder the same way they do in the Objects folder?
  • [15:34] Gecko Linden: 6
  • [15:34] Kris Spade: What happens if someone sends you a folder, is that folder under the RI folder?
  • [15:34] Gecko Linden: Kris - yes.
  • [15:34] Ima Mechanique: Oskar is that less than 12K or less than 12?
  • [15:34] MartinRJ Fayray: \o/
  • [15:34] Marigold Devin: Less than 12K, around 6K?
  • [15:34] Gecko Linden: Kirs - you get a folder in the RI folder.
  • [15:34] Homeless: the ll Library has over 2000 so I guess it would be 2012
  • [15:34] Kris Spade: Ok
  • [15:34] Gecko Linden: *Kris, sorry.
  • [15:34] Marigold Devin: I read around 2008 ideal max was around 4000, but as Homeless says, library contents is large already
  • [15:34] TankMaster Finesmith: oh, 12,000.. thats different than 12...
  • [15:35] Rex Cronon: can the RI folder have subfolders? i mean can u create subfolders inside subfolders?
  • [15:35] Flip Idlemind: So if there's not going to be a "Lost and Found" folder anymore, I think there should be some way to tell which items in your RI folder and there as a result of things being returned to you
  • [15:35] Homeless: this is a new alt, I don't have that much stuff but my count is over 3k
  • [15:35] Flip Idlemind: are there*
  • [15:35] Homeless: I realized then it was the library
  • [15:36] Marigold Devin: They keep sneaking in new avatars - the vampire and werewolf stuff added a lot.
  • [15:36] Marigold Devin: (not complaining)
  • [15:36] Fine Caliber: 57K here. about fainted when you said "12"
  • [15:36] Marigold Devin: hahaha, I'm glad I asked the question.
  • [15:36] Marigold Devin: 57K !!!!! haha
  • [15:36] Marigold Devin: textures?
  • [15:36] TankMaster Finesmith: 119k here...
  • [15:36] Fine Caliber: no ;/
  • [15:36] Fine Caliber: clothes -___-
  • [15:36] Fine Caliber: tank i will fight you.
  • [15:36] Fine Caliber: with my inventory.
  • [15:36] TankMaster Finesmith: megaprims...
  • [15:36] Marigold Devin: hahaha too funny
  • [15:36] Kallista Destiny: My Primary has a 50K
  • [15:36] Homeless: how many days does it take for your inv to load?
  • [15:37] TankMaster Finesmith: about 30 seconds
  • [15:37] Oskar Linden: my testing alt BloatedINV Tester has 250k plus
  • [15:37] Fine Caliber: it's not so bad really ㋡
  • [15:37] Larre Leborski: Indeed.. Ideally I would love to have nothing in the RI folder.. everything all sorted out ㋡
  • [15:37] Oskar Linden: SuperBloatedINV tester has more than that
  • [15:37] Fine Caliber: "recent" tab was kind of a godsend for me in this way
  • [15:37] Gecko Linden: I have not heard of a plan to remove the Lost and Found- F L I P.
  • [15:37] Draconis NeurocamDraconis Neurocam moves his entire inventory to the RI folder and pretends it doesnt exist
  • [15:37] Oskar Linden: what is the role of lost and found now?
  • [15:37] Flip Idlemind: Lost and Found is where things go when they're returned to you
  • [15:37] TankMaster Finesmith: estate returned items
  • [15:38] Gecko Linden: Some of that will land in RI.
  • [15:38] Gecko Linden: Sometimes if there is an err on delivery - they will go to Lost and Found.
  • [15:38] Flip Idlemind: But if they instead go to RI...won't it theoretically be a random mix of things I've taken, things that were returned, things I bought, etc.?
  • [15:39] Flip Idlemind: Maybe this RI folder needs to be organized itself
  • [15:39] Fine Caliber: Recent tab for lyfe.
  • [15:39] arton Rotaru: inventory inside inventory ^^
  • [15:39] Larre Leborski: Hmmm...
  • [15:39] Draconis Neurocam: Invception
  • [15:39] Homeless: recursive inventory?
  • [15:39] Theresa Tennyson: You COULD just put your toys AWAY, you know...
  • [15:39] Rex Cronon: lol
  • [15:39] Fine Caliber: A+, Drac.
  • [15:39] Theresa TennysonTheresa Tennyson has no room to preach there though.
  • [15:39] Fine Caliber: we heard you like inventory
  • [15:39] Fine Caliber: so we put inventory in your inventory
  • [15:39] Marigold Devin: Theresa is right - and maybe this is the nudge we need to do just that.
  • [15:39] Marigold Devin: Maybe
  • [15:40] Kallista Destiny: Given the unreliability of th notice system sticking stuff into RI instead of Lost+found is going to be problimatic.
  • [15:40] Flip Idlemind: I'm just thinking the RI folder could have a few subfolders, "Returned", "Taken", "Offered", "Bought"
  • [15:40] Theresa Tennyson: I've got category folders in my "loose" inventory now.
  • [15:40] Larre LeborskiLarre Leborski builds something... punches in the wrong number... object ends somewhere lst somewhere in the region with a 1 minute autoreturn.... and there it goes in the Lost and found folder...
  • [15:40] Gecko Linden: mine is "SORT THIS!"
  • [15:41] Rex Cronon: it might be better if u could search it by: returned, taken, offered, bought...
  • [15:41] Marigold Devin: Mine is "February 2012 to unpack" (one for each month) - still not unpcked some from 2010. :-((
  • [15:41] Larre Leborski: ㋡
  • [15:41] Fine Caliber: :D
  • [15:41] Kris Spade: I wish we could have a "coverflow" type view in inventory like in iTunes to see a preview on all objects so I can delete 80% of the stuff in my inv I would never use, without having to rez each item to see what it is haha
  • [15:41] Fine Caliber: my inventory just glowers at me from all sides
  • [15:41] Marigold Devin: Should perhaps be "unpack or bin by (and a six month date)"
  • [15:41] Oskar Linden: nice idea kris
  • [15:41] Kallista Destiny: Also it seems that on occasion 'lost' items have benn placed in my Lost+found folder. are these items now going to appear in my Recieved Item folder?
  • [15:42] Gecko Linden: that is a great idea
  • [15:42] Marigold Devin: Inventory is like teeth, a pain in the arse to maintain, but needed the most in our life
  • [15:42] SonicAnd Miles: :)
  • [15:42] Flip Idlemind: I wanna say overall I like the Received Items idea, I just have a few concerns about it
  • [15:42] Fine Caliber: i once dreamed of seeing a preview of each object. kind of like paper dolls.
  • [15:42] Draconis Neurocam: regex inventory search for all known fields
  • [15:42] Fine Caliber: wouldn't work for scripts of course, unless you assigned an image for scripts
  • [15:42] Gecko Linden: kallista - it depends on how they were lost, if returned yes, if error generated - Lost and Found.
  • [15:42] MartinRJ Fayray: Did I over-read the answer to the question whether you can create folders in RI?
  • [15:42] Rex Cronon: scripts r text. u can certainly view text
  • [15:42] MartinRJ Fayray: subfolders
  • [15:43] Flip Idlemind: Are there some cases where returned objects would go to Lost and Found and others where they would go to RI?
  • [15:43] Gecko Linden: MartinRJ, its a special folder - you can not create subfolders.
  • [15:43] Gecko Linden: BUT
  • [15:43] Gecko Linden: if you recieve a folder of items - it will be a folder in RI.
  • [15:43] Gecko Linden: ei
  • [15:43] MartinRJ Fayray: thank you
  • [15:44] Flip Idlemind: Will "Received Items" show up as a regular inventory folder in older viewers without the RI panel?
  • [15:45] Gecko Linden: Yes.
  • [15:45] Kallista Destiny: Oh for Pete's sake. What you have created here is an unmanageable, or at least difficult to manage, inventory sink.
  • [15:45] arton Rotaru: yeah
  • [15:45] arton Rotaru: I think I don't like it much ^^
  • [15:45] Gecko Linden: Kallista - you should try it out, and write about what you think of it on the Forums.
  • [15:45] Rex Cronon: we need to be able to create script bots to clean our inventories)
  • [15:45] Rex Cronon: :)
  • [15:45] Flip Idlemind: Eh, maybe, maybe not. But that's why we're testing it, right?
  • [15:46] Oskar Linden: please do Kallista
  • [15:46] TankMaster Finesmith: I thought it was going to only be used for items recieved from markept place
  • [15:46] Homeless: It would be nice if you had the option of viewing it as a folder or the panel
  • [15:46] Marigold Devin: Time will tell.
  • [15:46] Fine Caliber: the intent is good Σ:3 but... it's redundant with the customizability of the Recent Inventory tab.
  • [15:46] Kallista Destiny: I intend to.
  • [15:46] MartinRJ Fayray: but you can't drag and drop, otherwise I'd use rather the RI too, Fine
  • [15:47] MartinRJ Fayray: *rather use. sorry. => forum
  • [15:47] Flip Idlemind: Yeah I kinda do feel like...if the RI folder were to be improved in all the ways I want it to be, it would basically be the "Recent Items" tab
  • [15:47] Fine Caliber: i'm a proponent of multiple inventory windows open when sorting my inv ㋡
  • [15:47] Gecko Linden: Thats great feedback
  • [15:48] Oskar Linden: this is the link again for the beta test: https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/ReceivedItemsBetaTesting
  • [15:48] Larre Leborski: Indeed.. Sometimes I have to open multiple windows to help with the sorting process.
  • [15:48] Oskar Linden: please go out and use it
  • [15:48] Oskar Linden: check it out
  • [15:48] Oskar Linden: file bugs if you find them and be sure to comment on the feature in the forums
  • [15:48] Fine CaliberFine Caliber salutes this.
  • [15:48] Jonathan Yap: Gecko, I have been trying, but I don't see a way to get something into an empty (non-displaying) system folder -- their absence will make organizing for newbies more restricted
  • [15:49] Fine Caliber: I feel like I won't really know how I feel until i'm on main grid with it and getting the same sort of inventory traffic i usually do
  • [15:49] MartinRJ Fayray: I agree with Jonathan
  • [15:49] Oskar Linden: is that something you can test here Fine?
  • [15:49] Jonathan Yap: I have a fairly new alt, there are about 7 empty system folders on that account
  • [15:49] Fine Caliber: well ㋡ i'm a shopper on main grid :) and there's always passing of notecards and freebies and group items and the like
  • [15:50] MartinRJ Fayray: Yes how would you organize that if you don't have a textures- or body parts - folder
  • [15:50] Fine Caliber: i suppose we could all group around and throw objects at eachother
  • [15:50] Oskar Linden: :-)
  • [15:50] Oskar Linden: do it
  • [15:50] Fine Caliber: yessir
  • [15:51] Oskar Linden: that looks like we got to everyone's questions
  • [15:51] Oskar Linden: ok IMA
  • [15:51] Oskar Linden: what have you got ?
  • [15:51] Oskar LindenOskar Linden opens up the floor
  • [15:51] Flip Idlemind: I am very excited about Direct Delivery though! (Which it says is supposed to come out at the same time as this)
  • [15:51] Jonathan Yap: 26 avatars fall into a pit of Oskar's creating
  • [15:51] Oskar Linden: heh
  • [15:52] SonicAnd Miles: lol
  • [15:52] Oskar Linden: Ima?
  • [15:52] Oskar Linden: you had a question earlier
  • [15:52] Ima Mechanique: sorry got logged out
  • [15:52] Oskar Linden: kk

  • [15:53] Oskar Linden: SCR-6
  • [15:53] Oskar Linden: where is my jira flame
  • [15:53] Kris Spade: Just want to make sure SVC-7443 is ok. After our last meeting it broke. But Sonic here says it's working again on RC Magnum

  • [15:54] Flame of Jira: [#SCR-16] New Feature Request - llTeleportAgent https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SCR-7
  • [15:54] Ima Mechanique: it should probably have its own jira entry as scr-6 is for old behaviour with llGetSubstring
  • [15:54] Flame of Jira: [#SCR-6] llGetSubString can produce results that crash Mono scripts https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SCR-6
  • [15:54] arton Rotaru: doesen't it works only once with jira links?

  • [15:55] Oskar Linden: who wrote that thing? :-)
  • [15:55] Flip Idlemind: That reminds me, does anyone think it's about the right time for something like this? SVC-5488
  • [15:55] Flame of Jira: [#SVC-5488] llGetRegionAgents() -- returns list of agent keys in the current region https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-5488
  • [15:56] Oskar Linden: you should file a new jra instead of opening old ones
  • [15:56] Jonathan Yap: There would be a good reason to have that, to fix a pathfinding issue
  • [15:56] Rex Cronon: what if by some miracle a sim can have 1000 avatars? that will be along list
  • [15:56] Oskar Linden: the bug in that jira isn't relevent
  • [15:56] Ima Mechanique: wasn't me, but I agree. I'll create a new one and put a link on the old one
  • [15:56] Oskar Linden: thanks!
  • [15:56] Oskar Linden: yeah you can link it as relates to
  • [15:56] Oskar Linden: then it will get picked up in the triages
  • [15:57] Oskar Linden: message me with the jira number when ur done
  • [15:57] Kris Spade: Maybe not the right meeting for this, but it was suggested llAttachToAvatarTemp and llTeleportAgent were going to beta soon. Any news on when that might happen?
  • [15:57] Oskar Linden: anything else in our 3 minutes left?
  • [15:57] Oskar Linden: maestro?
  • [15:57] Oskar Linden: anything upcoming?
  • [15:57] Marigold DevinMarigold Devin kicks at Maestro's ankles
  • [15:58] Flip Idlemind: Possibly but then that's why I said something "like" this. I feel like, if we're going in the direction of making it easier to create games in SL, it would be useful to have a reliable way of knowing everyone who's in the region
  • [15:58] Oskar Linden: is maestro idling again?
  • [15:58] Marigold Devin: He's back. I saw him move
  • [15:58] Homeless: i guess we put him to sleep
  • [15:58] TankMaster Finesmith: he's busy braking the beta grid again
  • [15:58] Oskar Linden: marigold ur the closest
  • [15:58] Oskar Linden: pke him
  • [15:59] Oskar Linden: poke
  • [15:59] Maestro Tester: I'm here!
  • [15:59] Maestro Tester: kinda
  • [15:59] Oskar Linden: there he is!!
  • [15:59] Larre LeborskiLarre Leborski reaches over and pokes Maestro...
  • [15:59] Oskar Linden: :-D
  • [15:59] Maestro Tester: There's a maint-server, but Caleb's working on that instead of me
  • [15:59] Oskar LindenOskar Linden needs a nap
  • [15:59] Maestro Tester: so I don't know what's in it
  • [15:59] Oskar Linden: kk
  • [15:59] TankMaster Finesmith: maintence stuff
  • [15:59] Maestro Tester: otherwise i'm just working on pathfinding :)
  • [16:00] Oskar Linden: cool
  • [16:00] Oskar Linden: and that brings us to 4 o'clock
  • [16:00] MartinRJ Fayray: can I get back my drapped inventory now that the office hour is over?
  • [16:00] Kris Spade: So any news on a forthcoming llAttachToAvatarTemp and llTeleportAgent beta? :P__Oskar
  • [16:00] SonicAnd Miles: soup time
  • [16:00] Marigold Devin: wow that passed quickly
  • [16:00] Oskar Linden: you'll know when I do Kris
  • [16:00] Flip Idlemind: While you're here do you have an unofficial opinion on "llGetRegionAgents() -- returns list of agent keys in the current region"
  • [16:00] Kris Spade: Awesome!
  • [16:01] Oskar Linden: thanks everyone for coming
  • [16:01] Larre Leborski: Indeed.. ㋡
  • [16:01] TankMaster Finesmith: do any lindens here know what the new MAINT jiras are for?
  • [16:01] Marigold Devin: And thanks for going, we know !
  • [16:01] Rex Cronon: tc oskar
  • [16:01] Larre Leborski: Thank you Oskar and Gecko ㋡
  • [16:01] Oskar Linden: please test out the RI beta
  • [16:01] Marigold Devin: It's been interesting again. Thanks everyone.
  • [16:01] Oskar Linden: and tell all your friends
  • [16:01] Kris Spade: Was a good meeting. Everyone arive EARLY next time haha. Seems we only get 45 min based on actual start time :P
  • [16:01] Kallista Destiny: I will
  • [16:01] Rex Cronon: tc everybody
  • [16:01] Rex Cronon: and have a nice day
  • [16:01] Rex Cronon: bye
