  • [15:05] Oskar Linden: this is the agenda: https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Server_Beta_User_Group
  • [15:05] TheBlack Box: saying Seattle drivers dont know how to drive in the rain is the same as saying they cant drive at all .. isnt it ? :)
  • [15:05] Huseby Linden: LOL ^^
  • [15:05] Oskar Linden: :-)
  • [15:06] Rex Cronon: hello everybody
  • [15:06] Motor Loon: women drivers... pfftt..
  • [15:06] Oskar Linden: hey now
  • [15:06] Oskar LindenOskar Linden didn't go there
  • [15:06] Oskar Linden: so anyway
  • [15:06] Oskar Linden: the agenda
  • [15:06] Nalates Urriah: where is the tar?
  • [15:06] Coyot Linden: with the feather
  • [15:06] Oskar Linden: let's all give a round of applause for the Threaded Region Crossing project
  • [15:06] Motor LoonMotor Loon grins
  • [15:06] Oskar Linden: it got promoted to main channel!
  • [15:06] Motor LoonMotor Loon applauses!
  • [15:06] Huseby Linden: \o/
  • [15:06] Huseby Linden: yay
  • [15:06] Coyot LindenCoyot Linden keels over
  • [15:06] Oskar Linden: that is good news and quite a step
  • [15:07] Coyot Linden: with exhaustion
  • [15:07] Motor Loon: Is indeed
  • [15:07] Oskar Linden: I know there aren't specific performance improvements int his phase
  • [15:07] Oskar Linden: but the groundwork is there
  • [15:07] Motor Loon: and they say 3rd time was the lucky one!
  • [15:07] Oskar Linden: Phase Two should be interesting
  • [15:07] Oskar Linden: but no news on when it goes to RC
  • [15:07] Oskar Linden: also we have a full plate for RC releases this week
  • [15:08] Coyot Linden: \o/
  • [15:08] Oskar Linden: we've had a lot of teams busy and have a lot of candidates
  • [15:08] Rex Cronon: threaded region crossing? so what is max nr of concurent threads supported?
  • [15:08] Oskar Linden: which is awesome
  • [15:08] Oskar Linden: I don't think that is determined rex
  • [15:08] Oskar Linden: and probably wouldn't be public if I had the info :-)
  • [15:08] Rex Cronon: oh. sekrt:)
  • [15:09] Oskar Linden: more than 1
  • [15:09] Oskar Linden: :-)
  • [15:09] Motor Loon: It's in the x-files folder
  • [15:09] Oskar Linden: less than a billion
  • [15:09] Rex Cronon: a billion. wow:)
  • [15:09] Oskar Linden: anyway
  • [15:09] Coyot Linden: "finitely many"
  • [15:09] Oskar Linden: yes
  • [15:09] Oskar Linden: since we had so many things to release this week
  • [15:09] Huseby Linden: the correct answer is that it is a tunable parameter
  • [15:09] Oskar Linden: and a vacation on Monday
  • [15:10] Oskar Linden: the deploys this week were a little jumbled
  • [15:10] Oskar Linden: we had to deploy two of the RC's on Thursday
  • [15:10] Oskar Linden: we really try not to do that unless absolutely necessary
  • [15:10] Oskar Linden: we know it is disruptive to in world events
  • [15:10] Oskar Linden: so we apologize for that
  • [15:10] Oskar Linden: but the releases went well and we have 2 new projects out
  • [15:10] Motor Loon: I think people lives thru it
  • [15:11] Oskar Linden: BlueSteel is the same
  • [15:11] Oskar Linden: identical to last week
  • [15:11] Oskar Linden: with a merge from trunk
  • [15:11] Oskar Linden: no bug fixes
  • [15:11] Oskar Linden: no new changes
  • [15:11] Rex Cronon: if u give a 24h warning, it might be less dissruptive
  • [15:11] Oskar Linden: I do
  • [15:11] Oskar Linden: and did
  • [15:11] Rex Cronon: cool:)
  • [15:11] Oskar Linden: :-)
  • [15:12] Oskar Linden: LeTigre contains simulator changes to help with upcoming infrastructure projects
  • [15:12] Oskar Linden: there's not much more to communicate than that tbh
  • [15:12] Oskar Linden: there are no externally visible changes
  • [15:12] Oskar Linden: it's all accessible via internal tools and procedures
  • [15:13] Oskar Linden: there may be more information on the project overall at a future date, but I haven't been able to determine that yet
  • [15:13] Oskar Linden: in the meantime everything on LeTigre should function just like main channel / trunk
  • [15:13] Oskar Linden: if it doesn't be sure to file a jira and let me know
  • [15:13] Rex Cronon: AFK...............................
  • [15:13] Rex Cronon: afk
  • [15:14] Oskar Linden: and that brings us to Magnum
  • [15:14] Motor Loon: the glorious magnum
  • [15:14] Oskar Linden: Magnum is the experince tools project
  • [15:14] Oskar Linden: which we've blogged about before
  • [15:14] Coyot Linden: -----> Huseby
  • [15:14] Huseby Linden: alrighty
  • [15:14] Oskar Linden: hold on
  • [15:14] Huseby Linden: k
  • [15:14] Oskar Linden: I'm getting there
  • [15:14] Motor Loon: haha
  • [15:15] Motor Loon: Oskar just want the last word...
  • [15:15] Oskar Linden: the project is a lot of the functionality that exists in Linden Realms
  • [15:15] Coyot Linden: ...and the first word
  • [15:15] Coyot Linden: ...and
  • [15:15] Coyot Linden: ;)
  • [15:15] Motor LoonMotor Loon nods
  • [15:15] TankMaster Finesmith: lol
  • [15:15] Oskar Linden: but rolled into tools accessible to estate managers and region owners
  • [15:15] Oskar Linden: it was blogged here: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Featured-News/Advanced-Experience-Tools-Preview/ba-p/1420633
  • [15:15] Oskar Linden: the features can be pretty powerful
  • [15:16] Oskar Linden: this is Huseby's project right now
  • [15:16] Motor Loon: its pretty cool yeah
  • [15:16] Oskar Linden: now is when I would introduce him
  • [15:16] Oskar Linden: but yeah
  • [15:16] Oskar Linden: Huseby tell us who you anre and what you do
  • [15:16] Oskar Linden: and everyone say hi to huseby
  • [15:16] TankMaster Finesmith: he;s a horse and he does stuff
  • [15:16] Huseby Linden: like I said before, I'm one of the software engineers maintaining the simulator
  • [15:16] Motor Loon: "Hi Huseby"
  • [15:16] Moundsa Mayo: HI HUSEBY!
  • [15:16] Dil Spitz: hi huseby :)
  • [15:16] Huseby Linden: I worked on the linden realms project and am now tasked with bringing those features out to the rest of the grid
  • [15:17] Oskar Linden: Huseby works with us in the Seattle office
  • [15:17] Nalates Urriah: Hey Husby
  • [15:17] Huseby Linden: hello
  • [15:17] Coyot Linden: We hired him to prank Oskar. o.)
  • [15:17] Oskar Linden: are you all familiar with the exp tools feature set?
  • [15:17] Motor Loon: Good call
  • [15:17] Nalates Urriah: Somewhat
  • [15:17] Ima Mechanique: not really
  • [15:17] TheBlack Box: i only remember a few things as well ...
  • [15:17] Motor Loon: basically ... giving permissions ONCE and lots of stuff in the region can act based on that one permissions granting
  • [15:18] TheBlack Box: something about forces/automatic hud attachments is one ?
  • [15:18] Huseby Linden: so...that's llAttachToAvatarTemp
  • [15:18] Huseby Linden: yes, it force attaches anything to an avatar once the avatar has granted permissions
  • [15:19] Huseby Linden: the catch here is that the object that is attached DOES NOT go into their inventory
  • [15:19] Huseby Linden: and cannot be taken by the avatar that it is attached to
  • [15:19] Huseby Linden: so think "shopping kiosk"
  • [15:19] Huseby Linden: click a button, it puts it on you
  • [15:19] Rex Cronon: back
  • [15:19] Huseby Linden: click another, another outfit
  • [15:19] Motor Loon: the avatar kinda "borrows" the attachment
  • [15:19] Jonathan Yap: So you can wear demo items that don't have a huge "DEMO" over them?
  • [15:19] Rex Cronon: hi juseby
  • [15:19] MartinRJ Fayray: is it true that these tools break existing huds? What can we do to avoid that?
  • [15:19] Huseby Linden: they do not break existing huds
  • [15:20] Huseby Linden: these are the building blocks for the "next generation" of huds
  • [15:20] TheBlack Box: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/LlAttachToAvatarTemp
  • [15:20] Rex Cronon: sorry. i meant huseby
  • [15:20] Maestro Linden: Looking at the latest comment from that "linden realms breaks HUDs" issue, it appears that the script might be hanging in the 'changed' event because it's incompatible with any new changed flag
  • [15:21] Maestro Linden: which would be a script bug
  • [15:21] MartinRJ Fayray: ah
  • [15:21] Motor Loon: if used in a non-experience tools enviroment - will it act as a regular attaching object as ask permissions?
  • [15:21] TankMaster Finesmith: don't use existing huds, martin, and you'll be set! :D
  • [15:21] MartinRJ Fayray: hehe
  • [15:21] Huseby Linden: hrm...in non-experience tools environments, the functions don't execute
  • [15:21] Rex Cronon: so. u don't become the owner of the object even though is attached to u
  • [15:22] Huseby Linden: so what is significant about this release isn't experience tools, but the fact that these functions use normal runtime permissions
  • [15:22] Motor Loon: Like for example... can I use it in my car - and have the car attach a HUD to my avatar, without the HUD going into inventory?
  • [15:22] Huseby Linden: they can use either experience tools or runtime permissions
  • [15:22] Maestro Linden: no, you become the owner of the object, Rex. it just doesnt' appear in your inventory
  • [15:22] Jonathan Yap: Huseby, what happens to a no-mod script/object that moves out of an experience region?
  • [15:22] Huseby Linden: Motor: yes, re: car
  • [15:22] Motor Loon: excellent
  • [15:23] Huseby Linden: maestro: it won't attach unless the object is owned by the avatar it is being attached to, when using runtime permissions
  • [15:23] Huseby Linden: once we roll out the full experience toolset, that will no longer be the case
  • [15:24] Motor Loon: so in a store... you'd still have to "buy" the demo object before it can attach to you?
  • [15:24] Huseby Linden: no
  • [15:24] Gooden Uggla: how would an avatar remove the object?
  • [15:25] Rex Cronon: too bad we don't ahve llAttachToAvatarTemp( integer attach_point, key objUUID);
  • [15:25] Huseby Linden: Rex: huh, interesting idea
  • [15:25] Motor Loon: ooh that sounds a little scary
  • [15:25] Huseby Linden: Gooden: you can detach it
  • [15:25] Maestro Linden: Gooden: right click, 'Detach'
  • [15:25] Jonathan Yap: Does it detach when you log out?
  • [15:26] Rex Cronon: so u can attach objects that are either in objecs inventory or in your inventory:)
  • [15:26] Gooden Uggla: providing you can see it, will leaving the region detach it?
  • [15:26] Huseby Linden: Jonathan: yes
  • [15:26] Chieron Tenk: where? it's not like it's in the inventory or necessarily visible on the avatar
  • [15:26] Jonathan Yap: Some things might be nearly invisible to be clicking on (too small) or buried under some other part you are wearing
  • [15:26] Huseby Linden: Gooden: leaving the region will not detach it IIRC
  • [15:26] Ima Mechanique: will it show in your inventory as "worn"?
  • [15:26] Maestro Linden: Chieron, use the 'Take Off' menu when you click on your avatar
  • [15:27] Motor Loon: it still shows in inventory right? it just dissapears when you take it off...
  • [15:27] Maestro Linden: if you can't see the object
  • [15:27] Theresa Tennyson: Could other people pick up and play with a person's pet without changing ownership?
  • [15:27] Jonathan Yap: Can you have more than 1 attached at the same time?
  • [15:27] Gooden Uggla: there are already chat spys in prims that are undetectable, all you're doing is making it easier to attach those
  • [15:28] Huseby Linden: Motor: IIRC, no it isn't in your inventory. I'm not sure if it shows up as a worn object. You have a good point about temp attaching something nearly invisible and the avatar not being able to detach it. We'll have to test that grief vector.
  • [15:28] Rex Cronon: spy prims r not undetectable. just hard to find/select
  • [15:28] Gooden Uggla: hopefully it will show up on edit/attachment points
  • [15:28] Jonathan Yap: Is there a limit to how many can attach, if you can attach more than 1?
  • [15:28] Motor Loon: ok
  • [15:28] Huseby Linden: Theresa: hrm...the pet would have to attach itself to whomever was picking it up.
  • [15:29] Coyot Linden: I've had pets like that
  • [15:29] Maestro Linden: I would think/hope that it would respect the per-avatar attachment limit of 38 linksets.
  • [15:29] Chieron Tenk: that would work, but especially with mesh clothing (prim), there will be even less actual avatar to click on..
  • [15:29] Huseby Linden: Jonathan: I'm pretty sure the only limit is number of attach points
  • [15:29] Rex Cronon: if this is true "when an object is attached temporarily, a user cannot 'take' or 'drop' the object that is attached to them" than how do u get rid of it without leaving the sim?
  • [15:29] Dil Spitz: as cool as it sounds i worry a bit about a if that would guide to a new way of grieffing, maybe?
  • [15:29] Motor Loon: well, sounds like there's lots of senerios we can test and play with
  • [15:29] Huseby Linden: what I mean to say is, it is the same limit for regular attachments
  • [15:30] Maestro Linden: yeah, which is 38
  • [15:30] Gooden Uggla: apparently it stays after you leave the sim too
  • [15:30] Maestro Linden: all of which can be on the same point, if you really want it that way
  • [15:30] Huseby Linden: Rex: you detach it
  • [15:30] TankMaster Finesmith: theres always some what a griefer can exploit a new feature...
  • [15:30] TankMaster Finesmith: way*
  • [15:31] Dil SpitzDil Spitz nods to tank
  • [15:31] Gooden Uggla: yes tank, but this capability invites griefing, it doesn't take work to find it
  • [15:31] Motor Loon: often is yeah... shoulnd't always be too much of a concern... or we'd never get anything new °͜°
  • [15:31] MartinRJ Fayray: yes
  • [15:31] Jonathan Yap: There is a UI in the viewer that shows how many attachments you are using/have left; someone should take a look to see if that number is updating properly (I think it is under appearance)
  • [15:31] Ima Mechanique: gooden, that why not just anyone can use it
  • [15:31] Huseby Linden: Jonathan: good suggestion (on my todo list now)
  • [15:32] Gooden Uggla: huseby if the attachment is small or micro, with inverteed faces, how would you rightclick it to detach? that's the point we're making
  • [15:32] Huseby Linden: I'm pretty sure it shows up in the outfit/wearing dialog
  • [15:32] Huseby Linden: but I'm not 100% sure
  • [15:33] Huseby Linden: I'll have to confirm that
  • [15:33] Rex Cronon: i think u can make your own attachement and force it to replace the temp attach
  • [15:33] Motor Loon: we'll test that... I think it does too... seem to remember that from Linden Realms
  • [15:33] Gooden Uggla: ok, can you make sure that it shows up in the detach clothing dialog please?
  • [15:33] Huseby Linden: yes
  • [15:33] Gooden Uggla: thank you
  • [15:33] Huseby Linden: I like all of you....great concerns/suggestions
  • [15:33] Gooden Uggla: i have no other reservations, have at it
  • [15:33] Motor Loon: aww
  • [15:33] Oskar Linden: :-)
  • [15:33] Theresa Tennyson: You like us NOW...
  • [15:34] Coyot Linden: he
  • [15:34] Rex Cronon: nice attacment point "ATTACH_REAR" :)
  • [15:34] Motor Loon: haha
  • [15:34] TheBlack Box: hehe .. just wait a few weeks ... we are the grumpy oldbies :)
  • [15:34] Motor Loon: remember when your shoes ended up there on teleports?
  • [15:34] Motor Loon: good 'ol days
  • [15:34] Rex Cronon: and hair...
  • [15:35] Ima Mechanique: yeah, slippers up my butt. lots of fun that was
  • [15:35] Motor Loon: well.. my hair is still stuck there
  • [15:35] Motor Loon: lol
  • [15:35] Coyot Linden: haha
  • [15:35] TheBlack Box: speaking of grumpy ... when will hierarchical linking be rolled out, please ? ;)
  • [15:35] Oskar Linden: no time soon theblack
  • [15:35] Gooden Uggla: ao off
  • [15:36] Motor Loon: hierarchical linking?
  • [15:36] TheBlack Box: you make baby-jesus cry Oskar
  • [15:36] Jonathan Yap: Huseby, see Storm-653 for the attachment usage display
  • [15:36] Flame of Jira: [#STORM-653] As a user i would like to be able to see the available number of attachments and remaining free slots. https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/STORM-653
  • [15:36] Motor Loon: is that being played with internal?
  • [15:36] Oskar Linden: I'm sure it's more than just baby jesus
  • [15:36] TheBlack Box: :)
  • [15:36] Huseby Linden: Jonathan: thanks, will do
  • [15:37] Huseby Linden: so any more questions/concerns with llAttachToAvatarTemp before I move on to the others?
  • [15:37] TheBlack Box: Motor: sadly no ... even thou phillip linden said "we are working on it" years ago
  • [15:37] Motor Loon: I didnt think so °͜°
  • [15:37] Huseby Linden: alrighty
  • [15:38] Huseby Linden: so the other two LSL functions are llTeleportAgent and llTeleportAgentGlobalCoords
  • [15:38] Rex Cronon: is this function still only available to users with PIOF?
  • [15:38] Huseby Linden: they just change your outfit
  • [15:38] Motor Loon: I think we'll need to play with attachtoavatartemp before we have more questions °͜° I'm sure they'll come plentyfold
  • [15:38] Huseby Linden: :-)
  • [15:38] Huseby Linden: so the teleport functions use runtime permissions
  • [15:38] Huseby Linden: and will use the experience tools permission system when that rolls out
  • [15:38] Ima Mechanique: lot of whin.. er I mean discussion of those two on the jira
  • [15:39] Huseby Linden: llTeleportAgent can teleport to a local region-coord or a landmark
  • [15:39] Huseby Linden: the landmark must be in the inventory of the object with the script calling the function
  • [15:39] Maestro Linden: Huseby, and the landmark has to be referenced by inventory name, right?
  • [15:39] Huseby Linden: yes
  • [15:39] TheBlack Box: i think the experience tools are a great thing for future in-game games ... a really big step
  • [15:39] Maestro Linden: Okay. There was a 'bug' that you cant' use the landmark's AssetID, but that really is out of spec
  • [15:39] Huseby Linden: TheBlack Box: that's the plan
  • [15:40] Rex Cronon: "local region-coord or a landmark" u mean in the same sim?
  • [15:40] TheBlack Box: but it will take time until content-creators pick them up ... good none the less
  • [15:40] Rex Cronon: why we need a landmark?
  • [15:40] Huseby Linden: about 2 years ago.....Huseby: "I want to recreate the MUD's of my youth in second life and not rely on people's honest to fall over dead when I smite them."
  • [15:40] Maestro Linden: the landmark doesnt' need to be local rex
  • [15:40] Rex Cronon: oh. ok. not local
  • [15:40] Huseby Linden: the experience tools are the culmination of that effort
  • [15:40] Motor Loon: hehe
  • [15:40] Huseby Linden: Rex: in the same region
  • [15:41] Huseby Linden: so llTeleportAgent( <x, y, z> )
  • [15:41] Maestro LindenMaestro Linden suspects that llTeleportAgentGlobalCoords is for using global TP coordinates :^)
  • [15:41] Huseby Linden: would send you to x, y, z in Morris
  • [15:41] Huseby Linden: teh landmark can be *ANYWHERE* in the grid
  • [15:41] Huseby Linden: we started out with only llTeleportAgent in Linden Realms
  • [15:41] TheBlack Box: :) yeah .. in the long run i think the experience tools will also make it much easier to play in-game games without having to know a shitload about the SL system
  • [15:42] Rex Cronon: ok. i think i got it
  • [15:42] Huseby Linden: but found it to be a royal PITA to constantly update the landmarks in the inventories of dozens of objects
  • [15:42] Rex Cronon: what if u enter negative values?
  • [15:42] Huseby Linden: Rex: I don't know :-)
  • [15:42] Huseby Linden: try it
  • [15:42] Huseby Linden: report back
  • [15:42] Huseby Linden: good question...I didn't think of that
  • [15:43] Coyot Linden: what about imaginary numbers?
  • [15:43] Huseby Linden: so we created llTeleportAgentGlobalCoords to solve the problem of managing a bunch of landmarks
  • [15:43] Maestro Linden: my guess is that we clamp to <0,0,0>, <256,256, 4096>
  • [15:43] Jonathan Yap: Rex, there must be some range checking done on the inputted numbers
  • [15:43] TheBlack Box: you ll land in the secret levels of SL :)
  • [15:43] Rex Cronon: although it would be fun to tp underground:)
  • [15:43] Huseby Linden: but llTeleportAgentGlobalCoords is a little more complicated
  • [15:44] Jonathan Yap: Hmmz, do not clamp at z=4096, because you can go higher than that (i.e. ban lines were just extended to 5000)
  • [15:44] Huseby Linden: because our coordinate system is wonky
  • [15:44] Huseby Linden: we have global coords for Regions
  • [15:44] Ima Mechanique: hehe would be nice if -1,-1,-1 took you to the corn field ;-)
  • [15:44] Huseby Linden: and region coords within them
  • [15:44] Huseby Linden: Ima: now *THAT* is a great idea
  • [15:44] TheBlack Box: yes !!! put easter-egg places in negative coordinates ...
  • [15:44] Huseby Linden: maybe on Halloween it will do that
  • [15:44] TankMaster Finesmith: ㋡
  • [15:45] Motor Loon: mabye on halloween - ANY teleport will lead to the Corn field
  • [15:45] Motor Loon: -)
  • [15:45] Rex Cronon: the corn field? lol. come on don't put such ideas in their heads ima:)
  • [15:45] Huseby Linden: to use llTeleportAgentGlobalCoords you first have to query for the global coordinates of a region...specifying the region by name.
  • [15:45] Dil Spitz: so with llTeleportAgentGlobalCoords we will be able to turn the Avatar the first time with out hopping on a prim, right?
  • [15:45] Huseby Linden: then the values that are returned can be passed into the function along with the region-local coords
  • [15:45] Huseby Linden: and poof
  • [15:45] Jonathan Yap: If you have no access to the region do you get some kind of indication?
  • [15:45] Huseby Linden: you're teleported there
  • [15:46] Huseby Linden: the teleport fails
  • [15:46] Motor Loon: like a regular teleport
  • [15:46] Huseby Linden: if you don't have access
  • [15:46] Huseby Linden: yup
  • [15:46] Jonathan Yap: yeah, I guess there is no way to know in advance
  • [15:46] Gooden Uggla: at midnight on halloween, you should just randomly TP everyone on the grid to another sim
  • [15:46] Ima Mechanique: presumably the region coordinates don't HAVE to be looked up if you already know them?
  • [15:46] Orion Zenoria: Is there a way of detecting failed teleports?
  • [15:46] Huseby Linden: Ima: that is correct
  • [15:47] Huseby Linden: Orion: in LSL?
  • [15:47] Jonathan Yap: failed tp = you are in the same place you started from
  • [15:47] Huseby Linden: yes
  • [15:47] Orion Zenoria: *:-.,_,.-:*'``'*YESSSSSS!!!!*:-.,_,.-:*'``'*
  • [15:47] Huseby Linden: that's what I was going to suggest
  • [15:47] Ima Mechanique: hehe how about a TELEPORT_FAILED change event
  • [15:47] Motor Loon: simple solutions are often the best solutions °͜°
  • [15:47] Huseby Linden: Ima: that's a good suggestion...
  • [15:47] TankMaster Finesmith: how about.. how about... :P
  • [15:47] Huseby Linden: that's one possible solution
  • [15:48] Jonathan Yap: if you are going to have teleport_failed also consider TELEPORT_LOCAL, for within the same parcel (that data is already known)
  • [15:48] Ima Mechanique: well, technically you'd need a no_change event ;-)
  • [15:48] TankMaster Finesmith: id still like to see a TP fail when a region is in the restart process unless they are an estate owner or something like that
  • [15:48] Maestro Linden: .. which just triggers continuously except when changed is triggering :)
  • [15:49] Ima Mechanique: 'xactly Maestro ;-)
  • [15:49] TheBlack Box: TELEPORT_FAILED change event sounds like a good way to put yourself in an infinite tp-loop if you put a retry in there :)
  • [15:49] Huseby Linden: yes
  • [15:49] Jonathan Yap: sometimes you fail due to packet loss issues
  • [15:49] Huseby Linden: that's what I was thinking
  • [15:49] Ima Mechanique: TheBlack, can't stop stupid ;-)
  • [15:49] Jonathan Yap: the 2nd try will go right through
  • [15:49] Motor Loon: no 3rd time is the charm
  • [15:50] Ima Mechanique: Motor, that would be the third hour after the problem started?
  • [15:50] Motor Loon: ...dat
  • [15:50] Motor Loon: day
  • [15:50] Motor Loon: so... ETA on experience tools live?
  • [15:50] Ima Mechanique: lol
  • [15:51] Motor Loon: next in line if magnum passes?
  • [15:51] Coyot Linden: maybe
  • [15:51] Motor Loon: He said yes... I heard it...
  • [15:51] Oskar Linden: we have our promotion huddle tomorrow
  • [15:51] Coyot LindenCoyot Linden cleans out Motor's ears
  • [15:51] Motor Loon: hehe
  • [15:52] Oskar Linden: I encourage you all to try these features out over the weekend
  • [15:52] Oskar Linden: Magnum won't be promoted next week
  • [15:52] Gooden Uggla: ironically, scripty attachments are what tent to make TPs fail...
  • [15:52] Motor Loon: will do... sounds like they'll be fun to play with
  • [15:52] Ima Mechanique: can a non EM try them?
  • [15:52] Oskar Linden: so you've got time to work out the kinks for huseby
  • [15:52] Rex Cronon: sometimes text scrolls so fast is not that hard to miss something...
  • [15:53] Oskar Linden: huseby what are the limitations on who can access these functions?
  • [15:53] Jonathan Yap: Thank you for working on this Huseby
  • [15:53] Coyot Linden: <golf clap>
  • [15:53] Motor Loon: May just be me... but I'm more excited about the stuff that COMES with pathfinding... than pathfinding itself °͜°
  • [15:53] Huseby Linden: you're welcome
  • [15:53] Huseby Linden: I want to see these features out there
  • [15:54] Huseby Linden: because I want to make games on SL
  • [15:54] Rex Cronon: who can use those new functions?
  • [15:54] Huseby Linden: anybody
  • [15:54] TheBlack Box: pathfinding + experience tools ... that will be fun times for sure
  • [15:54] Motor Loon: yeah lets get the noobs something to do before they turn to greifing °͜°
  • [15:54] TankMaster Finesmith: pathfinding isnt going to take off vary will if LL doesnt have a physics stub avalible for TPVs to use
  • [15:54] Gooden Uggla: anyone on a magnum region can use what are going to be EM level controls?
  • [15:55] TheBlack Box: really truning SL into a game-engine more and more .... love it
  • [15:55] Ima Mechanique: hmm, now I need to find a sim to use them on ;-)
  • [15:55] Jonathan Yap: These new functions are in the PF regions?
  • [15:55] Rex Cronon: if u can make sl an app that runs on iphone u might have something...
  • [15:55] Huseby Linden: TheBlack Box: I read "Ready Player One" :-)
  • [15:55] TheBlack Box: :))
  • [15:55] Oskar Linden: huseby, so anyone can access these functions on any magnum sim right now?
  • [15:55] Motor Loon: well, guys the experience tools control panels aren't public yet
  • [15:56] MartinRJ Fayray: some people are complaining that the UI needs to be changed to make it useful for games
  • [15:56] Gooden Uggla: huseby then you'll have to make it so you can have more than 40 avs in a region before it slows to a crawl
  • [15:56] Huseby Linden: we know
  • [15:56] Motor Loon: thats why we have TPV martin °͜°
  • [15:57] Oskar Linden: 3 minutes left
  • [15:57] Oskar Linden: any final questions?
  • [15:57] Motor Loon: rezzing bug status?
  • [15:57] Ima Mechanique: gooden it's not the avatars that make the sim crawl, it's all the bad attachments and resource hogging stuff in the sim
  • [15:57] TheBlack Box: time to head over to PF OH ... see you there ;)
  • [15:58] Huseby Linden: Ima: llTeleportAgent to boot people lagging your sim :-)
  • [15:58] Gooden Uggla: yes Ima, we know
  • [15:58] TheBlack Box: and thanks for the office hour ... very much appreciated as always
  • [15:58] Motor Loon: rezzing bug status?
  • [15:58] Huseby Linden: thank you everybody
  • [15:58] Ima Mechanique: so the theoretically perfect sim is a beach front streakers paradise
  • [15:58] TankMaster Finesmith: any comments on SH-3149?
  • [15:58] TankMaster Finesmith: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SH-3149
  • [15:59] Gooden Uggla: i had one of those, you still have dance chims and mystitool wearers
  • [15:59] Oskar Linden: oh right Motor
  • [15:59] Motor LoonMotor Loon almost started crying there...
  • [15:59] Oskar Linden: the rezzing bug issue should make it to RC next week
  • [15:59] Coyot Linden: cya around, gotta fly
  • [15:59] Ima Mechanique: lol then they're not streaking, whole point is to run, not dance :-)
  • [15:59] Rex Cronon: tc everybody and have a nice day. i am going to pf oh too
  • [15:59] Oskar Linden: Maestro finished QA for the fix yesterday
  • [15:59] Motor Loon: excellent
  • [16:00] Ima Mechanique: many thanks for your work Huseby.
  • [16:00] Motor Loon: Good man Maestro
  • [16:00] Oskar Linden: yes he is
  • [16:00] Maestro Linden: yeah, I was relieved to get that done
  • [16:00] Huseby Linden: you're welcome...thanks for your help testing
  • [16:00] TankMaster Finesmith: thx maestro ㋡
  • [16:00] Huseby Linden: I've gotta bounce too
  • [16:00] Motor Loon: alrighty... NOW we can go then °͜°
  • [16:00] Huseby Linden: I have a build to babysit
  • [16:00] Moundsa Mayo: Oskar, Maestro, Coyot, Huseby, thanks for your time and hard work!
  • [16:00] Ima Mechanique: okay, gotta run to PFUG
  • [16:00] Maestro Linden: time for pathfinding OH
