[2013/09/19 15:00] Yuzuru Jewell: Hello, Nalates. [2013/09/19 15:00] Yuzuru Jewell: Hello, Maestro. [2013/09/19 15:00] Caleb Linden: lol [2013/09/19 15:00] xstorm Radek: „ã° [2013/09/19 15:00] Maestro Linden: Hi guys [2013/09/19 15:01] Caleb Linden: no love for metalheads [2013/09/19 15:01] SonicAnd Miles: sup maestro [2013/09/19 15:01] Rex Cronon: hi yuzuru [2013/09/19 15:01] Jenna Felton: hi Caleb and Maestro [2013/09/19 15:01] Rex Cronon: hi mestro, caleb [2013/09/19 15:01] xstorm Radek: Maestro I hear great things about the work you been doing [2013/09/19 15:01] Rex Cronon: need to relog something wrong with attachemts [2013/09/19 15:01] Kennylex Luckless: Guttentak [2013/09/19 15:02] Duckie Dickins: Hi simon [2013/09/19 15:02] xstorm Radek: congrats [2013/09/19 15:02] Yuzuru Jewell: Hello, Simon. [2013/09/19 15:02] Simon Linden: Hi everyone [2013/09/19 15:02] TankMaster Finesmith: heya simon! [2013/09/19 15:02] Jenna Felton: hi Simon :) [2013/09/19 15:02] Kennylex Luckless: Hello yopu one. [2013/09/19 15:02] Lucia Nightfire: hola [2013/09/19 15:02] Kennylex Luckless: Hej [2013/09/19 15:02] xstorm Radek: hi Simon miss the office hours [2013/09/19 15:03] xstorm Radek: some one is missing [2013/09/19 15:03] xstorm Radek: oh never mind [2013/09/19 15:03] Maestro Linden: Okay, let's get started: https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Server_Beta_User_Group#Agenda [2013/09/19 15:03] xstorm Radek: i see whirly fizzle now [2013/09/19 15:04] Maestro Linden: This week, I have general server update news, and also we have an item from Jenna [2013/09/19 15:04] Maestro Linden: let's get through the update news first, since it's pretty quick [2013/09/19 15:04] xstorm Radek: i like quick [2013/09/19 15:05] Maestro Linden: the main channel got the asset-fetching changes from Monty [2013/09/19 15:05] Maestro Linden: these changes require an as-of-yet unreleased viewer to really see a difference [2013/09/19 15:05] Maestro Linden: so that shouldn't be exciting, for better or for worse [2013/09/19 15:06] xstorm Radek: it is for me lol [2013/09/19 15:06] Lucia Nightfire: as long as it makes rigged mesh load faster [2013/09/19 15:06] Maestro Linden: well, be excited when the viewer's out :) [2013/09/19 15:06] Kennylex Luckless: Intresting stuff: What does the fox say? [2013/09/19 15:06] Lucia Nightfire: tired of seeing failed LOds and oversized invisible prims attached to people, heh [2013/09/19 15:06] Maestro Linden: Oh, we can get to that last, Kenny [2013/09/19 15:07] xstorm Radek: my sl viewer was hacked and now is broken [2013/09/19 15:07] Kennylex Luckless: Yes. [2013/09/19 15:07] Rex Cronon: if u r late or can't stay than chat is logged here: http://rcds.nfshost.com/ques_view_chatLog.php?queOwner=llsl%3ARex+Cronon&queName=chatLog&pg=1 [2013/09/19 15:07] Rex Cronon: live [2013/09/19 15:07] xstorm Radek: ty [2013/09/19 15:07] Maestro Linden: BS and LT are on the same project as last week, [2013/09/19 15:08] Rex Cronon: :) [2013/09/19 15:08] Maestro Linden: but there was an important bug fix - we found a new crash mode related to region crossings, which was fixed with this week's update [2013/09/19 15:08] xstorm Radek: ??? crossing crash from what ? [2013/09/19 15:09] Maestro Linden: possibly with avatars on vehicles [2013/09/19 15:09] xstorm Radek: oh not my field [2013/09/19 15:09] Simon Linden: it was avatars on vehicles under some specific conditions [2013/09/19 15:09] xstorm Radek: yes i seen that befor [2013/09/19 15:09] xstorm Radek: its old [2013/09/19 15:10] Rex Cronon: like if u ra riding a bullet:) [2013/09/19 15:10] Lucia Nightfire: I think this is a region crash bug, heh [2013/09/19 15:10] Maestro Linden: it was not really exploitable (the trigger for the crash was impossible/very difficult to get intentionally), but still annoying [2013/09/19 15:10] Lucia Nightfire: not viewer, [2013/09/19 15:10] Simon Linden: No, this was not ... it was introduced last week with new code [2013/09/19 15:10] Maestro Linden: but it's fixed now (Simon was just checking the crash logs/stats this morning to confirm) [2013/09/19 15:10] xstorm Radek: the user crash or server or region ? [2013/09/19 15:11] Maestro Linden: it was a simulator/region crash [2013/09/19 15:11] Simon Linden: it was a crash on the region you were leaving [2013/09/19 15:11] arton Rotaru: so the crash mode is still on SLS? [2013/09/19 15:11] Simon Linden: no, it never got to SLS [2013/09/19 15:11] arton Rotaru: ok cool [2013/09/19 15:11] Lucia Nightfire: I just wonder if that was the cause of my increased regions crashes I saw every 2-3 days otu of teh blue after a month of no unexplained crashes [2013/09/19 15:11] xstorm Radek: poor chield agent hand off or missing ? [2013/09/19 15:11] Simon Linden: it was introduced in last week's RC and fixed today [2013/09/19 15:11] arton Rotaru: alright [2013/09/19 15:12] Maestro Linden: Magnum got a new project this week [2013/09/19 15:12] Maestro Linden: which is another server maintenance one [2013/09/19 15:12] Maestro Linden: it has all the changes from the BS / LT project, plus some more changes [2013/09/19 15:13] Maestro Linden: most of the changes unique to magnum are crash fixes and internal sort of stuff (fixing a simulator log message, etc), but there is 1 new feature [2013/09/19 15:13] xstorm Radek: i seen that on the cal. nice [2013/09/19 15:13] Maestro Linden: or perhaps I should call that a fix; [2013/09/19 15:13] Maestro Linden: there was a longstanding bug where an avatar who was on the 'Allowed Residents' list of a parcel was still not able to enter the parcel, due to other access restrictions [2013/09/19 15:13] xstorm Radek: is it a true crash ??? [2013/09/19 15:13] Ardy Lay: Hehe. I got told off when I tried to block the "006" particles. [2013/09/19 15:14] xstorm Radek: he he he told off cute [2013/09/19 15:14] Maestro Linden: Magnum has a fix for that issue - being on the 'Allowed Residents' list should let you into the parcel, except perhaps if they're also on the parcel ban list(I forgot the order..) [2013/09/19 15:15] Lucia Nightfire: lets hope the banlist takes priority, heh [2013/09/19 15:15] Lucia Nightfire: if they're on the banlist they can't be on the access list anyway [2013/09/19 15:15] Ardy Lay: Can an avatar be expressed in BOTH lists? [2013/09/19 15:15] Lucia Nightfire: nope [2013/09/19 15:15] Demo particle system blend options: New particle system: PSYS_PART_BLEND_FUNC_SOURCE = PSYS_PART_BF_ONE_MINUS_SOURCE_ALPHA PSYS_PART_BLEND_FUNC_DEST = PSYS_PART_BF_ONE_MINUS_SOURCE_ALPHA [2013/09/19 15:15] xstorm Radek: interesting why not have the ban list bump names off the allow list ? [2013/09/19 15:15] Lucia Nightfire: it does [2013/09/19 15:15] Demo particle system blend options: New particle system: PSYS_PART_BLEND_FUNC_SOURCE = PSYS_PART_BF_SOURCE_ALPHA PSYS_PART_BLEND_FUNC_DEST = PSYS_PART_BF_ONE_MINUS_SOURCE_ALPHA [2013/09/19 15:16] Rex Cronon: maybe if a avatar is on a ban list than all the alts should also be banned? [2013/09/19 15:16] Demo particle system blend options: New particle system: PSYS_PART_BLEND_FUNC_SOURCE = PSYS_PART_BF_ONE_MINUS_SOURCE_ALPHA PSYS_PART_BLEND_FUNC_DEST = PSYS_PART_BF_ONE_MINUS_SOURCE_ALPHA [2013/09/19 15:16] Maestro Linden: oh sorry, looks like ban list does take precedence over allowed list [2013/09/19 15:16] xstorm Radek: thats true [2013/09/19 15:16] xstorm Radek: oh good [2013/09/19 15:16] Lucia Nightfire: if you add a agent to the banlist by viewer or script it will remove them from teh access list if they are on it, and vice versa [2013/09/19 15:17] Maestro Linden: but otherwise, like if the parcel is set to 'allow payment info on file always', somebody on the 'allowed residents' list can always enter, regardless of their PIOF status [2013/09/19 15:17] xstorm Radek: LL still can hard ban I hope ? [2013/09/19 15:17] Lucia Nightfire: yes, lol [2013/09/19 15:17] SonicAnd Miles: I have never had that happen Lucia... They just cant enter the parcel. [2013/09/19 15:17] TankMaster Finesmith: unless your on the 'im a boss' list :P [2013/09/19 15:17] xstorm Radek: lol [2013/09/19 15:18] Lucia Nightfire: I've accidentally banned Lindens when they entered my region before I added provisions for LL surname accounts [2013/09/19 15:18] Maestro Linden: yeah, if you somehow manage to ban the parcel owner, she can still access the parcel :) [2013/09/19 15:18] xstorm Radek: you can not ban a linden lol [2013/09/19 15:18] Lucia Nightfire: I big to differ, lol [2013/09/19 15:18] Maestro Linden: though I think the server blocks banning the parcel owner from their parcel.. [2013/09/19 15:18] Lucia Nightfire: if they're in GM they're unaffected [2013/09/19 15:18] Lucia Nightfire: it does on estates [2013/09/19 15:19] Lucia Nightfire: oh wait, they did get changed recently [2013/09/19 15:19] xstorm Radek: i never seen gteam ever get ban [2013/09/19 15:19] Hexapoda: Can we not get an exeption so we can ban Torley? [2013/09/19 15:20] xstorm Radek: lol no [2013/09/19 15:20] Jenna Felton: i hope i wil never see a gteam [2013/09/19 15:20] Lucia Nightfire: so who knows now, I'd have to test, but its not high priority, heh [2013/09/19 15:20] Margithe: No, you can not has :P [2013/09/19 15:20] xstorm Radek: why not see Gteam i have many a time [2013/09/19 15:20] Jenna Felton: gteam is one who comes after you did somethin very stupid? [2013/09/19 15:20] SonicAnd Miles: Was that English? [2013/09/19 15:20] SonicAnd Miles: XD [2013/09/19 15:21] xstorm Radek: oh no not me but i have seen it happen [2013/09/19 15:21] Duckie Dickins: so what's next weeks plan? :) [2013/09/19 15:21] Rex Cronon: it was typoglish:) [2013/09/19 15:21] Maestro Linden: well Duckie, the RCs both look good this week [2013/09/19 15:21] Maestro Linden: at this rate, I think we'll promote Magnum to the main channel [2013/09/19 15:22] Lucia Nightfire: and when is this exp thing supposed to get any light [2013/09/19 15:22] xstorm Radek: oh any way to stop a php remote attack that kills the sl viewer ? [2013/09/19 15:22] Lucia Nightfire: waiting to see the hype dahsed [2013/09/19 15:22] Lucia Nightfire: *dashed [2013/09/19 15:22] Rex Cronon: xstorm. how did somebody find your ip? [2013/09/19 15:22] Maestro Linden: if you're being DDoS'ed, firewall rules could help [2013/09/19 15:23] Gooden Uggla: /ao off [2013/09/19 15:23] xstorm Radek: i had to report a oject to i clicked on it in error [2013/09/19 15:23] xstorm Radek: its script got me [2013/09/19 15:23] Rex Cronon: if u have a dynamic connection usually is enough to reset router [2013/09/19 15:24] Jenna Felton: media stream or MOP can find the viewer [2013/09/19 15:24] xstorm Radek: sope static [2013/09/19 15:24] Hexapoda: MOP? [2013/09/19 15:24] Jenna Felton: media on prim [2013/09/19 15:24] Hexapoda: ty [2013/09/19 15:24] Nalates Urriah: MOAP Media on a prim [2013/09/19 15:24] Duckie Dickins: I think most high speed internet is static now so they can hunt you down for illegal torrents. :P [2013/09/19 15:24] TankMaster Finesmith: aka shared media [2013/09/19 15:24] Lucia Nightfire: if you have voice or media and/or autoplay enabled you're broadcasting your IP as well [2013/09/19 15:24] xstorm Radek: yes php link on prim it was [2013/09/19 15:25] TankMaster Finesmith: it would be nice if webkit got updated [2013/09/19 15:25] Maestro Linden: if the issue is that you login to a place with media on a prim, and that prim is set to a website that somehow hurts viewer performance, I would think that disabling "Allow media auto play" in preferences would take care of that [2013/09/19 15:26] xstorm Radek: from what I see it had some sort of php andscript that got past the sl viewer [2013/09/19 15:26] xstorm Radek: so my sl viewer is dead [2013/09/19 15:27] xstorm Radek: will no longer conect [2013/09/19 15:27] xstorm Radek: connect [2013/09/19 15:27] Rex Cronon: reinstall? [2013/09/19 15:27] xstorm Radek: yes only way to fix it [2013/09/19 15:27] Ardy Lay: Load up Wireshark or something like ti and see what is coming in when you don't request anything. [2013/09/19 15:28] Maestro Linden: yes, reinstalling or clearing SL preferences would be a good start for debugging any issue where the viewer won't connect [2013/09/19 15:28] xstorm Radek: my server firewall had to block the attack [2013/09/19 15:28] xstorm Radek: by then it was to late [2013/09/19 15:28] Rex Cronon: xstorm might be a good idea to chang your sl pass [2013/09/19 15:28] xstorm Radek: did not think of that [2013/09/19 15:29] Lucia Nightfire: and maybe your IP, heh [2013/09/19 15:29] Margithe: kinda besides the point, if there is a grief script that can destroy the viewer. The end user would be like " Y viewer no work? Stupid LL, my money!" etc... [2013/09/19 15:29] xstorm Radek: my IP is a word not so much numbers [2013/09/19 15:29] Maestro Linden: also you could check whether you can reach the SL login server outside of SL, to see if a bad firewall rule is blocking it [2013/09/19 15:29] Maestro Linden: (e.g. https://login1.aditi.lindenlab.com/cgi-bin/login.cgi for aditi) [2013/09/19 15:30] Ardy Lay: "There is a problem with this website's security certificate." [2013/09/19 15:30] SonicAnd Miles: my ip is a pizza. :p [2013/09/19 15:30] Maestro Linden: yep, it requires a cert that's installed in the viewer package [2013/09/19 15:30] xstorm Radek: i can log in with Singularity in dev mode [2013/09/19 15:30] Maestro Linden: but if you can get the cert, you know that it's not an IP routing issue [2013/09/19 15:30] Maestro Linden: er, if you can get the cert warning, I mean [2013/09/19 15:30] Rex Cronon: a few week ago there was a report about stealing sl passwords using moap(i think): http://www.sluniverse.com/php/vb/general-sl-discussion/86255-turn-off-media-sl-major-8.html [2013/09/19 15:31] Lucia Nightfire: oh boy [2013/09/19 15:31] Maestro Linden: You should see the phishing attempts they send to us Lindens :) [2013/09/19 15:31] xstorm Radek: oh do not tell people that you wish to scare the simple people [2013/09/19 15:32] Lucia Nightfire: never open url's without checkign to make sure they're labeled or not, for one [2013/09/19 15:32] Duckie Dickins: that's why when you phish software devs it has to be for things they want like pizza and caffeine items. :P CLICK HERE FOR A FREE $5 coupon! [2013/09/19 15:32] TankMaster Finesmith: k/ [2013/09/19 15:32] Rex Cronon: congrat maestro linden. u have won 1000000L$. please go here and enter your sl pass to receive the money:) [2013/09/19 15:33] xstorm Radek: If i see them pish on a prim the user will not be in sl for long [2013/09/19 15:33] Jenna Felton: hehe [2013/09/19 15:33] Caleb Linden: lol [2013/09/19 15:33] Maestro Linden: So Jenna had a topic today [2013/09/19 15:33] Maestro Linden: https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Server_Beta_User_Group#Any_Other_Items [2013/09/19 15:33] Jenna Felton: yes. wanted ask that [2013/09/19 15:33] Lucia Nightfire: {/snowball} [2013/09/19 15:34] Maestro Linden: go for it. or maybe we should all pause a minute for people to read? [2013/09/19 15:34] Jenna Felton: When we have time and because it refers somehow to the new parcell access rules. I'd like to have a function in LSL which at least can determine, if a specified person is able to enter a specified position on the sim, or is able to move along specified path (given by two points in local cordinates), i.e. is able to cross every parcell along the path. The reason is when you build a vehicle or a physically working teleporter, you face a problem: Although you can read the parcell flags and determine for example if a parcell uses ban list, but you can't determine if any sat passenger is on the list or not. So you get false positives and refuse teleport even if the vehicle would cross the parcell. Now, even if you are ok with that, you have to perform a large number of such checks to be sure at no position of your path you are entering a parcell or cross an edge of a parcell using ban list. [2013/09/19 15:34] Jenna Felton: So i'd like to know if such a function is resonable, that takes two vectors and determines if the path connecting them is safe for objects, actually seat and wearing avatars to move along. A reasonable range of systems would benefit of it. [2013/09/19 15:34] arton Rotaru: intresting [2013/09/19 15:36] Maestro Linden: Simon and I talked about this a bit; the sim has a certain function to determine if objects or avatars can move to a certain place, based on parcel rules [2013/09/19 15:36] Simon Linden: what about a simpler version, that takes an AV and one point? [2013/09/19 15:36] xstorm Radek: did this not come up at one time about ballon rides ? [2013/09/19 15:36] Lucia Nightfire: I just wish the function OnBanlist(key id) On AccessList(key id) existed, heh [2013/09/19 15:36] Duckie Dickins: I think you would kill the server hampsers if you ran across a sim that was so parcel fragmented that it would have to do a lot of checking. :) [2013/09/19 15:36] Maestro Linden: I was thinking agent_id and parcel_id would be better, simon [2013/09/19 15:36] Jenna Felton: when i have a proper way to find out what parcell my path is crossing, than i would be happy with checking avatar danger for each parcel only [2013/09/19 15:37] Rex Cronon: i think if your vehicle uses keyframemotion then if u ride u can pass through all parcels... [2013/09/19 15:37] xstorm Radek: agent ID yes [2013/09/19 15:38] xstorm Radek: will you not have a problem with parcel id ? [2013/09/19 15:38] Simon Linden: ah, yes Maestro, that would be easier, but the location-to-parcel ID lookup is really quick [2013/09/19 15:38] Maestro Linden: I think to make it simple, we'd want to limit it to agents who are connected to the region [2013/09/19 15:38] Simon Linden: either one [2013/09/19 15:38] Maestro Linden: okay [2013/09/19 15:38] Simon Linden: the AVs would have to be connected at the time of the call [2013/09/19 15:38] xstorm Radek: is it quick now ? [2013/09/19 15:39] xstorm Radek: back in the bate days you can walk off world do to that [2013/09/19 15:39] Simon Linden: That "can an AV enter a parcel" check is pretty quick [2013/09/19 15:39] Jenna Felton: when i have a path between two points, and when i had a function that would take these two points and determine then either the points where my path crosses parcell bondaries, or 2 deliver me the ID to identify the parcells, than it would be easier. [2013/09/19 15:40] Jenna Felton: i.e. someting like llGetParcelList(vector a, vector b) [2013/09/19 15:40] Rex Cronon: maybe u could give a list of pos(a path) and have it return if u can go through all of them? [2013/09/19 15:40] Maestro Linden: or just call the function multiple times for each position [2013/09/19 15:40] Duckie Dickins: or extend llCastRay to have parcel detection [2013/09/19 15:40] Maestro Linden: er, multiple times, once for each position [2013/09/19 15:41] Maestro Linden: yeah, that was my thought, Duckie [2013/09/19 15:41] xstorm Radek: oh no i can see new griefer toys popping up do to this lol [2013/09/19 15:41] Lucia Nightfire: If we're going to be installing that kind of fancy checking for vehicles apps, can we also please get the option to reference the current parcel's banlist when rezzing objects in the area to prevent rezzing objects owned by banned owners too, heh [2013/09/19 15:41] Jenna Felton: when i have a list of positions my path crosses pardell bondaries than i can make a median from each following two points and have automatically positions inside each parcell, and for every parcell one position [2013/09/19 15:41] Maestro Linden: for parcel encroachment checking, the simulator checks whether the object is intersecting with a box that's over a parcel square in the physics engine [2013/09/19 15:41] Simon Linden: It's not too hard to create a function in LSL to do that, Jenna ... you'd just move along your path 4m in X or Y at a time, use llGetParcelDetails() and if the ID changes, then check if you can enter [2013/09/19 15:42] Jenna Felton: but than i have up to 64 calls when i cross the whole sim [2013/09/19 15:42] Maestro Linden: I wonder how hard it would be to create a new llCastRay collision option to detect parcel boundaries between 2 points.. [2013/09/19 15:43] Maestro Linden: Andrew knows that feature the best [2013/09/19 15:43] xstorm Radek: did some one say new way to make greygoo work again ? [2013/09/19 15:43] Duckie Dickins: sounds like a job for Kelly [2013/09/19 15:43] Gooden Uggla: never know till you try... sounds handy [2013/09/19 15:43] arton Rotaru: wasn't it Falcons baby, llCastRay [2013/09/19 15:43] arton Rotaru: is Falcon still with the Lab btw? [2013/09/19 15:43] Jenna Felton: i think the sim itself can more easy answer that, then a script that must retreive all data and than resolve [2013/09/19 15:44] xstorm Radek: Falcon who ? [2013/09/19 15:44] Maestro Linden: yeah, but Andrew wrote the prim encroachment feature, so I thought he might know how the 'parcel volumes' work, and Andrew actually has office hours [2013/09/19 15:44] Jenna Felton: ok [2013/09/19 15:44] Maestro Linden: Yep, Falcon's sitting 20ft away from me [2013/09/19 15:45] arton Rotaru: ok cool, tell him there is a new Havok phyics version ^^ [2013/09/19 15:45] Maestro Linden: Heh, he knows :) [2013/09/19 15:45] arton Rotaru: I bet^^ [2013/09/19 15:45] Jenna Felton: the second part of the problem were than to get true danger info for an avatar to enter the parcell :) [2013/09/19 15:45] xstorm Radek: Maestro shoot him with a nerff gun [2013/09/19 15:45] Jenna Felton: hehe [2013/09/19 15:45] Maestro Linden: okay, gotta wait until he lets his guard down [2013/09/19 15:45] xstorm Radek: ;) [2013/09/19 15:45] Lucia Nightfire: n ewhavok versions are sort of redundant anyway considering how LL dumbs it down to begin with [2013/09/19 15:45] Caleb Linden: and tipped him off his sitting ball [2013/09/19 15:46] Duckie Dickins: falcon tipping...fun [2013/09/19 15:46] Rex Cronon: btw. i hope u guys r going to fix the bug that allows one script to stop others from rezzing and attaching things:( [2013/09/19 15:46] Maestro Linden: Yes, that one is obnoxious [2013/09/19 15:46] Lucia Nightfire: the physics engine is severely restricted to facilitate pathfinding [2013/09/19 15:46] xstorm Radek: oh just have to ask what person did that poor roll back in Korea1 welcome area ? [2013/09/19 15:47] Lucia Nightfire: still seeign that Rex? [2013/09/19 15:47] Rex Cronon: yes [2013/09/19 15:47] Lucia Nightfire: I haven't been lucky to get an idiot attemptign to drop it in my sandboxes lately [2013/09/19 15:48] Rex Cronon: now it seems it can be turned on and off [2013/09/19 15:48] Kennylex Luckless: Next bid update: Update the Lindens looks? [2013/09/19 15:48] xstorm Radek: Rex when you have that happen and im on can you tp me ? [2013/09/19 15:48] TankMaster Finesmith: whirly i think can discribe the issue a but better [2013/09/19 15:49] TankMaster Finesmith: bit* [2013/09/19 15:49] Rex Cronon: wouldn't be funny if it was just a never ending loop:) [2013/09/19 15:49] Lucia Nightfire: it was onyl a matter oftime before peopel brought that up [2013/09/19 15:49] Whirly Fizzle: Im saying nothing lol [2013/09/19 15:49] Lucia Nightfire: I'm restricted from discussing it [2013/09/19 15:49] Rex Cronon: xstorm. i saw it about 12 hours ago at swt [2013/09/19 15:49] xstorm Radek: aaaawwww why not Whirly „ã° [2013/09/19 15:49] Rex Cronon: ok. i will give u a tp if u r on [2013/09/19 15:50] Lucia Nightfire: Rex, does it die early now? [2013/09/19 16:02] TankMaster Finesmith: is that viewer-bear? [2013/09/19 16:02] Maestro Linden: the server takes the average weights reported over time by all the viewers [2013/09/19 16:02] Simon Linden: yeah, good point, Maestro - but it's close [2013/09/19 16:02] Simon Linden: yes Tankmaster [2013/09/19 16:02] TankMaster Finesmith: ok [2013/09/19 16:02] Lucia Nightfire: BUG-3854 <--any Lindens that haven't looked at it already, heres the some issues and potential solutions I've compiled recently [2013/09/19 16:02] TankMaster Finesmith: ive got whats in there now merged to FS already :P [2013/09/19 16:03] Lucia Nightfire: althgouh the last few are lower priority and toss ups [2013/09/19 16:03] Maestro Linden: the server's reported weight will eventually catch up to the stat reported by viewer, if your avatar doesn't change for a while [2013/09/19 16:03] TankMaster Finesmith: just need to look over some issues i had before i push it [2013/09/19 16:03] Whirly Fizzle: Theres new changes to automute since we merged Tank [2013/09/19 16:03] Lucia Nightfire: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/BUG-3854 [2013/09/19 16:03] TankMaster Finesmith: the changes to automute i got into exp already [2013/09/19 16:03] Whirly Fizzle: OOh cool. Im behind lol [2013/09/19 16:04] TankMaster Finesmith: it was that translation changeset that caused me a tone of merge greif [2013/09/19 16:04] Maestro Linden: Yeah, that was an interesting feature request, Lucia, but it wouldn't be trivial to implement [2013/09/19 16:04] Lucia Nightfire: the psychedelic look is weird though [2013/09/19 16:04] Maestro Linden: okay, we're out of time [2013/09/19 16:04] Simon Linden: Tankmaster - I just pushed some changes to viewer-bear you should get ... that feature is still experimental but in this release so it's buried a bit more [2013/09/19 16:04] Simon Linden: but it also works better [2013/09/19 16:05] Lucia Nightfire: and yes, Maestro, the method of implementation isn't hard set, what ever is the best means would suffice [2013/09/19 16:05] Maestro Linden: My plan is to set autoreturn to a somewhat short time on this parcel before I rez the discotheque prims, so that we have a clean slate [2013/09/19 16:05] Whirly Fizzle: It doesn't stop Kelly's bling when he's a simple imposter. I think thats a bug :P [2013/09/19 16:05] TankMaster Finesmith: ok, ill get to that tonight „ã° thx for the heads up [2013/09/19 16:05] Maestro Linden: if you don't want your stuff on this parcel to be returned to Lost & found, I would recommend taking it soon [2013/09/19 16:06] TankMaster Finesmith: /me sees no changes to v-bear [2013/09/19 16:06] Maestro Linden: Thanks for coming, everybody! [2013/09/19 16:06] Rex Cronon: tc maestro [2013/09/19 16:06] arton Rotaru: thanks for the meeting [2013/09/19 16:06] Jenna Felton: Thanks for coming , Lindens [2013/09/19 16:06] Whirly Fizzle: Thanks Lindens [2013/09/19 16:06] Nalates Urriah: Thx Lindens
