Agenda

Transcript of Bridie Linden's office hours:

[15:02] WarKirby Magojiro: Do we have an agenda for today?
[15:03] Bridie Linden: We do!
[15:03] Bridie Linden: https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Bug_triage/Wednesday_Agenda
[15:03] Squirrel Wood: User is not online. Your message will be conveniently deleted and not delivered at all. Have a nice and productive day!
[15:03] Torley Linden: I wish I could customize that message. I need assistants, really.
[15:03] BugTest Dumpling: That's a good idea Torley... lol
[15:03] Bridie Linden: How's everyone today?
[15:03] Squirrel Wood: You have reached clone #435,256 of Torley Linden. Please wait while we process your request!
[15:03] Taryn London: Good :) You?
[15:04] Simon Kline: heheh i'm sure we'd all volunteer to bee your assistant for a day torley! heh
[15:04] WarKirby Magojiro: maybe you should poke the devs into implementing that then?
[15:04] WarKirby Magojiro: a customiseable message on IM is much desired...
[15:04] Squirrel Wood is rockin' the day away ^^
[15:04] Taryn London: I dont think I could handle it. I have enough trouble keeping up with the blog.
[15:04] Torley Linden: That's nice of you, Squirrel. Hehe.
[15:04] Bridie Linden grins
[15:04] Torley Linden: Taryn, so far, thanks.
[15:04] Taryn London: speaking of which.. plant doing well? :D
[15:04] WarKirby Magojiro: # VWR-5207[c] - Votes: 3 - Sculpted Prims Load/Look Different in v1.19 than in v1.18 or Lower - Earalia Nolan
[15:04] WarKirby Magojiro: When everyone is ready
[15:04] Torley Linden: I tell my wife, like "I don't need another thing to take care of!" but she got me sold on the beauty of nature.
[15:05] Bridie Linden was waiting on Aric Linden...
[15:05] Squirrel Wood: that one is likely the LOD problem... zoom out, then back in and it should look ok
[15:05] Bridie Linden: But let's get rolling...
[15:05] Arawn Spitteler has a window Grapefruit Tree, so a Watermelon shouldnt be bad.
[15:05] BugTest Dumpling: Is he hoping to make some sort of entrance? lol
[15:05] Bridie Linden: Thx WK
[15:05] WarKirby Magojiro: Has the degenerate surface detection been changed again?
[15:06] WarKirby Magojiro: That ws the cause last time this type of thing appeared
[15:06] Saijanai Kuhn: hey all
[15:06] WarKirby Magojiro: It'd be worth asking Qarl if there was any intentional change that coulc cause this, perhaps?
[15:06] Bridie Linden is checking something...one sec
[15:07] Squirrel Wood: you have several prims witht he same sculpt texture in a row... the ones close to you will show the low res model, the ones further away will look fine.
[15:07] Bridie Linden: Hi Saijanai
[15:07] Squirrel Wood: and only zooming out fixes that
[15:07] Squirrel Wood: so that is why I assume that this one is related
[15:07] WarKirby Magojiro: hey there sai
[15:07] Saijanai Kuhn admires his sub 1.0 fps
[15:07] WarKirby Magojiro: that does sound like an annoying bug, too
[15:07] Arawn Spitteler: Having to zoom out would wrec havok, with the animated Sculpties
[15:07] WarKirby Magojiro: sub 1?
[15:07] WarKirby Magojiro: oh dear
[15:08] WarKirby Magojiro: debug settings > renderfarclip
[15:08] WarKirby Magojiro: set it to something like 8
[15:08] WarKirby Magojiro: that should help a bit
[15:08] Taryn London: Hi Aric
[15:08] WarKirby Magojiro waves to Aric
[15:08] Bridie Linden: is 5207 same or related to VWR-2920?
[15:08] Torley Linden: Heyyyy Aric!
[15:08] Bridie Linden: Hey Aric!
[15:09] Aric Linden: hi Bridie
[15:09] Aric Linden: sorry i'm late
[15:09] Bridie Linden: Np, busy day!
[15:09] Aric Linden: my life got effed cuz we evacuated the building and then i had to make up meetings
[15:09] WarKirby Magojiro: oh, I commented on that a loong time ago
[15:09] WarKirby Magojiro: is that still not fixed?
[15:09] BugTest Dumpling: "my life" rofl
[15:09] BugTest Dumpling: Was that SF Aric?
[15:09] Bridie Linden: 2920 is fixed in WL
[15:10] Squirrel Wood: I would say its a dupe of sorts
[15:10] WarKirby Magojiro is usin windlight
[15:10] Squirrel Wood: I'm on the latest WL and get the LOD bug on sculpties
[15:10] Bridie Linden hmms
[15:10] Bridie Linden: I'll link 'em up and import 5207 then
[15:10] WarKirby Magojiro: I think it would be a good idea to ask earalia to test her straps in windlight
[15:10] Saijanai Kuhn: at renderfarclip = 8 I get 3.6 fps
[15:10] Aric Linden: yes bugtest
[15:10] WarKirby Magojiro: see if the problem occurs there
[15:10] BugTest Dumpling: I see, thanx : )
[15:10] WarKirby Magojiro: 3.6 is not a lot better.... :/
[15:10] Aric Linden: wow, big crowd
[15:11] Bridie Linden: Good idea WarKirby
[15:11] WarKirby Magojiro: Is it?
[15:11] WarKirby Magojiro: you should see zero's meetings
[15:11] Squirrel Wood: I don't get the flat spheres but a low res sculpt model
[15:11] WarKirby Magojiro: last time I attended one of those
[15:11] WarKirby Magojiro: the sim was full
[15:11] Bridie Linden: wow!
[15:11] WarKirby Magojiro: and people were queing up outside in other sims
[15:11] Saijanai Kuhn: depends on the topic and how much I spam-advertise the meeting
[15:11] Saijanai Kuhn: we had 80 people show up one time
[15:11] WarKirby Magojiro: heh
[15:11] Bridie Linden is happy with helpful triage attending Resis!
[15:11] Squirrel Wood: Spamvertising :/
[15:12] Saijanai Kuhn: had to change to a multi-sim arena
[15:12] Saijanai Kuhn: he was not pleased
[15:12] Bridie Linden: Next up...
[15:12] Bridie Linden: VWR-5284[c] - Votes: 3 - DNS Could not resolve host name error after upgrading to 1.19.0.4
[15:12] Simon Kline: i've been helping eva with this one.... she still can't log on
[15:13] BugTest Dumpling: Is that a firewall causing that, do you think?
[15:13] Simon Kline: we've been troublshooting ever since last thurs and can't get it to work
[15:13] Daedalus Young: friendly greetings!
[15:13] Squirrel Wood: firewall, isp routing problem...
[15:13] Taryn London: Hi Daedalus :)
[15:13] Arawn Spitteler is on 1.19.0(5), but has only seen 50% Log-in failure today
[15:13] Bridie Linden: and the only change has been the viewer?
[15:13] Squirrel Wood: HOSTS file mayhaps
[15:13] Bridie Linden: Hiya Daed!
[15:13] Simon Kline: no tried disabling firewall
[15:13] Simon Kline: tried updating hosts file
[15:13] Squirrel Wood: try adding the IPs and hostnames to the HOSTS file ?
[15:13] WarKirby Magojiro: none of these people have mentioned which country they're in...
[15:13] Simon Kline: i've scowered jira
[15:14] Bridie Linden: Aric, Torley any thoughts?
[15:14] Simon Kline: and there's been a few cases of vista related ppl that have upgraded and had simmilar issues
[15:14] Simon Kline: after upgrading
[15:14] Becky Pippen: Many of us have recently started getting DNS failures during logiin to SL, and that's the only name our DNS can't resolve at that time.
[15:14] Simon Kline: did something change about the login with this upgrade?
[15:14] Torley Linden: Hmmm...
[15:14] Squirrel Wood: I would provide a hosts file for such cases to see if that helps
[15:15] Simon Kline: yeah we did try adjusting the hosts file with the login.agni... addresses in it
[15:15] BugTest Dumpling: Tried an alternate viewer? or account?
[15:15] Simon Kline: yep other account
[15:15] Torley Linden: I wonder if other viewers work for Evangeline?
[15:15] Bridie Linden: worked or didn't work Simon?
[15:15] Simon Kline: the windlight she's got doesn't work now either
[15:15] WarKirby Magojiro: /nicholaz viewer is a good thing to try
[15:15] Squirrel Wood: can she log in from a friends computer?
[15:15] Simon Kline: other accounts don't work
[15:15] Torley Linden: This doesn't seem widespread but I'd check that... besides, we're on 1.19.0.5 right now, not 1.19.0.4 (subtle but there is a distinction).
[15:16] Simon Kline: yeah might try nicholaz viewer and work more on that
[15:16] Bridie Linden: Let's leave this one open but keep an eye on it
[15:16] Simon Kline: i'm meeting her on yahoo today to try more things
[15:16] Saijanai Kuhn: heh. Windlight is nearly twice as fast
[15:16] Aric Linden: it's possible that while a restart is occuring the lookup for a related server is failing and then something caches and doesn't clear
[15:16] Aric Linden: I'd suggest clear both web and server cache
[15:16] Bridie Linden nods
[15:17] Simon Kline: yeah we tried flushing dns and restarting the vista dns services...
[15:17] Simon Kline: thanks aric we'll try that i think web cache has been cleared but will try
[15:17] Aric Linden: don't forget server cache
[15:17] Aric Linden: they're different prefs
[15:17] Bridie Linden: Thx for suggestions all.
[15:17] Bridie Linden: Next up...
[15:17] Bridie Linden: # VWR-5158[c] - Votes: 1 - SL Freezes, Can't Walk after 30 secs - edmundtyler blackadder
[15:17] Aric Linden: one is under network, the other is under web on the prefs menu
[15:18] Simon Kline: it's rather distressing for her because she's unable to leave her house and sl is her only way of reaching the outside world... thankyou for your suggestions.
[15:18] BugTest Dumpling: That could be due to the connection to the internet?
[15:18] Aric Linden: simon, if that doesn't work, you're welcome to ping me via IM and I'll see what I can do to help
[15:18] Daedalus Young: 5158, reporter says SL works fine on a different computer
[15:18] Aric Linden: also is it wireless or dsl or cable
[15:19] Squirrel Wood: Please notice: Windows Vista Ultimate
[15:19] BugTest Dumpling: I get that and I think it is when the internet connection is reset, it disconnects you from SL
[15:19] BugTest Dumpling: ?
[15:19] Bridie Linden: maybe this is one for support...
[15:20] BugTest Dumpling: *nods*
[15:20] WarKirby Magojiro: VWR-5158?
[15:20] Squirrel Wood: high packet loss too.. 0.9%
[15:20] Torley Linden: It seems isolated and not a widespread issue, with those types of things I generally lean towards support.
[15:20] BugTest Dumpling: Agreed
[15:20] Bridie Linden: Yup
[15:20] Torley Linden: So we can resolve this as Contact Support.
[15:20] Bridie Linden: Will do
[15:20] Aric Linden: one question should be asked here (I'll update)
[15:20] Bridie Linden: Next up...
[15:20] Bridie Linden: VWR-5208[c] - Votes: 2 - Voice IM volume slider being moved by unrelated dialog open/close actions in 1.19.x Dazzle and now Release versions
[15:21] Aric Linden: what other applications are running?
[15:21] Aric Linden: I'll add the comment, Torley
[15:21] Torley Linden: Thanks Aric!
[15:21] WarKirby Magojiro runs WMP, firefox, blender, photoshop, MSN, and SL all at once o.o
[15:21] Torley Linden: Seems like VWR-5208 has a pretty easy repro to check out.
[15:22] Squirrel Wood: that is a clear dupe?
[15:22] Squirrel Wood: might want to link tothe feature requests of the client remembering volume settings
[15:23] Torley Linden: That does sound similar to me... but still, volume settings shouldn't change upon mere resizing of a window, if what the reporter describes is accurate.
[15:23] Torley Linden: Er, I mean "mere scrolling".
[15:23] BugTest Dumpling: Ah
[15:23] BugTest Dumpling: Sec
[15:24] Squirrel Wood: it usually does it when you move to a different parcel which has its own voice channel set
[15:24] Bridie Linden: what is the IM Volume slider?
[15:24] Squirrel Wood: or teleport
[15:24] Torley Linden: Bridie, when you do a 1:1 voice chat in private with someone...
[15:24] Bridie Linden: ah, yes
[15:24] Torley Linden: in that IM tab, you'll see a volume slider near the top.
[15:24] Bridie Linden: I'll import and look for similar issues to link to
[15:25] Bridie Linden: I know there was a recent one...
[15:25] Bridie Linden: Cool?
[15:25] Bridie Linden: Moving right along...
[15:25] Torley Linden: Sounds good!
[15:26] Bridie Linden: VWR-5203[c] - Votes: 1 - when resizing a newly created prim - texture repeat numbers change on their own - corrupt cache
[15:26] Daedalus Young: could not repro, but it's not really clear to me what the reporter means
[15:26] Bridie Linden reads latest comment from Daed
[15:26] Bridie Linden: Yeah, perhaps they were confused...
[15:26] Squirrel Wood: This very much looks like the "stretch Textures" checkbox NOT being checked
[15:27] Torley Linden: Seems appropriate for Cannot Reproduce.
[15:27] Bridie Linden nods
[15:27] Torley Linden: Squirrel, that's what I thought too.
[15:27] Torley Linden: Could be a UI misunderstanding.
[15:27] Bridie Linden: Next up
[15:27] Bridie Linden: VWR-5202[c] - Votes: 0 - SecondLife keeps crashing after logging in.
[15:27] Torley Linden: Doesn't exist?
[15:27] Torley Linden: Oops.
[15:27] Torley Linden: Sorry.
[15:28] BugTest Dumpling: : P
[15:28] WarKirby Magojiro: this sounds bad
[15:28] Simon Kline: waterhead is a busy area
[15:28] Bridie Linden: BTW, I went through these issues fairly quickly last night - but wanted to be sure some of these were indeed isolated...
[15:28] Squirrel Wood: Memory: 895 MB - looks a bit odd
[15:28] Aric Linden: well, note that the log says something different about version than the affects version
[15:28] Aric Linden: I wonder which version was being run
[15:28] Torley Linden: I think we need to determine whether this is location-specific, too.
[15:28] BugTest Dumpling: Good eye Aric
[15:28] Bridie Linden: Good eyes Aric!
[15:29] Bridie Linden: beer BugTest!
[15:29] BugTest Dumpling: lol
[15:29] Torley Linden: Helo says "Waterhead" but I was there the other day for a good period of time, no crashie for me.
[15:29] Torley Linden: Important to include a log as well, so let's ask Helo Kirax to do that.
[15:29] BugTest Dumpling: Maybe it is just their connection
[15:29] BugTest Dumpling: Ask for more info
[15:29] Taryn London: Maybe crashing at Waterhead is just a natural defence mechanism.
[15:29] Aric Linden: yes, more info please
[15:29] WarKirby Magojiro: Not really much to go on there
[15:29] Taryn London: It's a feature.
[15:29] Bridie Linden nods
[15:29] Torley Linden: *nods at Aric*
[15:29] BugTest Dumpling: haha Taryn
[15:29] Bridie Linden: More info FTW!
[15:29] Squirrel Wood: graphics driver version may also be of interest
[15:30] Bridie Linden: Next...
[15:30] Bridie Linden: VWR-5209[c] - Votes: 0 - LSL - running checkbox is sometimes greyed out in scripts -
[15:30] BugTest Dumpling deletes and bans "FTW"
[15:30] Bridie Linden looks @ BugTest FTW!
[15:30] Bridie Linden: j/k
[15:31] WarKirby Magojiro: This sounds like the permissions lagging a little
[15:31] BugTest Dumpling is so confused by that saying >>.<< lol
[15:31] WarKirby Magojiro: Similar things happen trying to modify any object somtimes
[15:31] Squirrel Wood: Could it be that this happens when scripts are off on estate level?
[15:31] BugTest Dumpling: Lag then?
[15:31] WarKirby Magojiro: Presumabbly, the client defaults to no mod in the absence of permission information ?
[15:32] Bridie Linden: Torley, not related, but it does remind me of the prim count issue we ran into
[15:32] Torley Linden: Yeah, I remember that one, Bridie.
[15:32] Aric Linden: Squirrel, your thought makes sense to me
[15:32] Bridie Linden hmmms
[15:32] Aric Linden: it seems to me that this might be a problem with perception on the way nested permissions works
[15:32] Torley Linden: Permissions is a harsh mistress.
[15:32] BugTest Dumpling: rofl
[15:32] Squirrel Wood: Indeed!
[15:32] Taryn London: lol
[15:32] Bridie Linden: indeed
[15:32] Squirrel Wood: Very harsh!
[15:33] Aric Linden wants extra credit for slipping in jargon "nested permissions"
[15:33] WarKirby Magojiro thinks permissions need an overhaul
[15:33] Aric Linden: Just had one Warkirby
[15:33] Bridie Linden: gold sarts (sic) for ARic
[15:33] Bridie Linden decline FASHION CON RELEASES 3-5-08 from A group member named Jazmine Jordan.
[15:33] Taryn London gives Aric a gold sart for jargon.
[15:33] Aric Linden grins happily
[15:33] Aric Linden: My work is done here
[15:33] Aric Linden: I'll be on my way
[15:33] Bridie Linden lols
[15:33] Squirrel Wood: Oh My. Someone will have to create actual Sarts to give out to people now :p
[15:34] Bridie Linden: Shall we ask Mani to take a gander?
[15:34] Aric Linden: I'll comment on this one. I have specific questions to ask and I'll ask for more info
[15:34] WarKirby Magojiro: I'm imagining a sculpted star, inside out
[15:34] Squirrel Wood: Collect trophies! Get a SART today!
[15:34] Bridie Linden: ty Aric
[15:34] BugTest Dumpling: sart?
[15:34] Aric Linden: Not yet. I think we need to make sure it's not user error
[15:34] Daedalus Young: lol
[15:34] BugTest Dumpling: Huh? 0.o
[15:34] Torley Linden: Hahah.
[15:34] Bridie Linden: BugTest, typo of mine from last week (trying to give out gold stars became 'sarts'..)
[15:34] Squirrel Wood: A profile page for Sarts! ^^
[15:34] BugTest Dumpling: LOL Ok
[15:34] Bridie Linden: Supah Sarts!
[15:35] Arawn Spitteler wonders if Sarts have been Wikkied yet.
[15:35] BugTest Dumpling: Will teach me never to miss Triage again or IM in triage
[15:35] BugTest Dumpling: LOL
[15:35] Bridie Linden: !
[15:35] Bridie Linden: Next up...
[15:35] Bridie Linden: VWR-5260[c] - Votes: 0 - was logged off for being idle although I clearly wasn't
[15:35] Daedalus Young: I even put a sart on a screenshot I posted last week
[15:35] Bridie Linden: Nice Daed!
[15:35] BugTest Dumpling: Bridie
[15:35] BugTest Dumpling: That one I think, THINK happened to me on Dazzle
[15:36] BugTest Dumpling: Or was it RC?
[15:36] BugTest Dumpling: Never mind... lol
[15:36] Bridie Linden: I couldn't repro
[15:36] Squirrel Wood: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sart - It has!
[15:37] Bridie Linden: what about gold sarts Squirrel?
[15:37] Torley Linden: VWR-5260 needs a better repro.
[15:37] Aric Linden: love Squirrel for sart samples
[15:37] BugTest Dumpling: Set a last triage date and ask fro more info?
[15:37] Bridie Linden nods
[15:37] Squirrel Wood: ^^
[15:38] Bridie Linden: next...
[15:38] Bridie Linden: VWR-5268[c] - Votes: 0 - Gestures limitation varies -
[15:38] WarKirby Magojiro: hmm
[15:38] Torley Linden: Hmmm this one may be up my alley...
[15:38] Bridie Linden: I have to admit I didn't try creating a 29 step gesture...
[15:38] WarKirby Magojiro: I'd tend to use a scripted device if I had something complex enough to need that many steps...
[15:38] Torley Linden: it depends on the # of characters within the gesture steps.
[15:38] Torley Linden: NOT the steps themselves.
[15:38] Squirrel Wood: can text string length be a limit ?
[15:39] Torley Linden: Yes, Squirrel.
[15:39] Bridie Linden: orly?
[15:39] Torley Linden: I had the exact # a long time ago...
[15:39] Torley Linden: http://secondlife.com/app/help/avatar/gestures.php
[15:39] Torley Linden: Oh my gosh, it's been ages since I wrote that!
[15:39] Bridie Linden nominates Torley to comment/resolve
[15:39] BugTest Dumpling: Comment and Resolve?
[15:39] Torley Linden: Yes, I'll do that.
[15:39] Torley Linden: Thanks!
[15:40] Bridie Linden: Another gold sart for you Torley!
[15:40] Torley Linden: Mmm yummy sarts.
[15:40] WarKirby Magojiro: * VWR-3798[c] - Votes: 11 - Sculpt textures have WAY too low a priority in the interest list. - Argent Stonecutter
[15:40] Squirrel Wood: High priority for sculpt textures! ^^
[15:40] Bridie Linden: WK is fast !
[15:40] WarKirby Magojiro: I added comments to this a few minutes ago
[15:40] WarKirby Magojiro: I strongly support this issue
[15:41] WarKirby Magojiro: I quite often see sculpted prims being textured before their geometry is even downloaded
[15:41] WarKirby Magojiro: seems silly
[15:41] Torley Linden: I feel similarly about this, from newcomers I hear things like "What's with all the balls on his... oh... they're changing shape."
[15:41] BugTest Dumpling: : ))
[15:41] BugTest Dumpling: haha
[15:41] Squirrel Wood: Definitely something to change... especially with sculpted avatars and clothes
[15:41] Bridie Linden: I see that everytime I login here
[15:41] WarKirby Magojiro: they ought to be the first textures to be downloaded
[15:41] Bridie Linden: (sculpty sofas!)
[15:41] WarKirby Magojiro smiles
[15:41] Bridie Linden: Let's import and see what our other Lindens say...
[15:41] BugTest Dumpling: Ooh Sculpty caves are awesome!
[15:42] Daedalus Young: I'd like to see prims close to the avatar in general be rezzing first
[15:42] Daedalus Young: I often see stuff in the distance rez first, while I'm waiting for all the invisibility around me to go away
[15:42] Bridie Linden decline Trixxy's Shop Note :) from A group member named Trixxy Oh.
[15:42] WarKirby Magojiro: patches are up next...
[15:42] Bridie Linden: Yes, they are!
[15:42] WarKirby Magojiro: # VWR-4834[c] - Votes: 0 - Solaris port - Strife Onizuka
[15:42] Taryn London: Zepar! Heya :)
[15:43] Squirrel Wood: 4834 - looks like Soft is onto those already
[15:43] Torley Linden: Hm, last I know, Soft was helping with that... not a full-scale port but massaging those patches.
[15:43] Torley Linden: *nods*
[15:43] Zepar Zhukovsky: Hey Taryn
[15:43] Harleen Gretzky: Soft said she was going to import all the Solaris on Monday
[15:43] Bridie Linden: I'll ping soft about this then!
[15:43] WarKirby Magojiro: The script editor enhancement looks wonderful
[15:44] Bridie Linden: Next
[15:44] Bridie Linden: VWR-5206[c] - Votes: 18 - Save and load scripts from the script editor to local disk
[15:44] Squirrel Wood: YES!
[15:44] Squirrel Wood: I want!
[15:44] WarKirby Magojiro: yay

[15:44] WarKirby Magojiro: no more pasting
[15:45] Bridie Linden: Nice one
[15:45] Aric Linden: let's grab it
[15:45] Squirrel Wood: never lose scripts on save again by closing the window too soon...
[15:45] Bridie Linden: will grab!
[15:45] WarKirby Magojiro: now all we need is collapsable codeblocks.....
[15:45] Bridie Linden: VWR-5283[c] - Votes: 6 - Line number gutter for script editor
[15:45] Squirrel Wood: ^^
[15:45] Daedalus Young: 5283 is a must-grab too
[15:45] Squirrel Wood: Indeed!
[15:46] WarKirby Magojiro: ah, he's doing code folding and bookmarks too
[15:46] Arawn Spitteler: Collapsible Code sounds almost like an extension of Mono. User Created Classes might benice
[15:46] WarKirby Magojiro: excellent
[15:46] Squirrel Wood: Line numbers... though I'd want them hex formatted :p
[15:46] Becky Pippen wiggles in anticipation of this one
[15:46] Daedalus Young: although it currently looks to be a WIP
[15:46] Squirrel Wood: for the 1337 look
[15:46] Squirrel Wood votes
[15:46] Bridie Linden: I'll import
[15:46] Torley Linden: Scripter's paradise!

[15:47] WarKirby Magojiro: that one too
[15:47] Bridie Linden: Yes BugTest
[15:47] BugTest Dumpling: ^.^
[15:47] Bridie Linden: Who is this JB Kraft? :)
[15:47] BugTest Dumpling: Is Meg, being called BugTest freaks me out... lol
[15:47] Squirrel Wood: importeded
[15:47] Squirrel Wood points at Aric
[15:47] Bridie Linden: Must give him/her gold sarts...
[15:48] Squirrel Wood: He did it!
[15:48] WarKirby Magojiro: # SVC-682[c] - Votes: 4 - Objects can enter into No-Object-Entry area. - Nock Forager
[15:48] Aric Linden looks around nervously
[15:48] Bridie Linden: Onto the misc pool...
[15:48] Aric Linden: did what?
[15:48] Torley Linden: SVC-682 sounds like a dupe...
[15:48] WarKirby Magojiro: I vote this be closed as duplicate
[15:48] Torley Linden: I talked to Nock the other day!
[15:48] WarKirby Magojiro: I already covered this myself, and much better
[15:48] WarKirby Magojiro: see the linked issue
[15:49] Daedalus Young: dupe of svc-1042, it says it is
[15:49] Torley Linden: Yeah, I vote to close as dupe.
[15:49] Bridie Linden: yup
[15:49] Torley Linden: See Kelly's comment @ https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-1042?focusedCommentId=39162#action_39162
[15:49] WarKirby Magojiro: SVC-1042 is mine. I documented four methods of circumventing the flag
[15:49] Squirrel Wood: no object entry and havok 4 are mortal enemies :p
[15:50] Bridie Linden: hee
[15:50] Bridie Linden: Next
[15:50] Bridie Linden: SVC-925[c] - Votes: 4 - Estate Manager are not able to upload and download RAW terrain files
[15:50] Torley Linden: Hm, Estate permissions...
[15:50] BugTest Dumpling: Isnt that intentionall?
[15:50] Torley Linden: I see where this is useful, but not every Estate Owner wants this to be possible.
[15:50] Torley Linden: E.g., you could screw up the terrain.
[15:50] Squirrel Wood: make it an option ?
[15:51] Zepar Zhukovsky: add an undo
[15:51] Torley Linden: I vote this should be a New Feature, not a bug since it *is* by design.
[15:51] Squirrel Wood: [ ] EMs can load/save terrain data
[15:51] Bridie Linden: Looks like there was a bit of a bug/new feature battle
[15:51] Bridie Linden: +1 for new feature
[15:52] Squirrel Wood commented.
[15:52] WarKirby Magojiro: seems logical that they should be able to
[15:52] Bridie Linden: Shall I go ahead and import?
[15:52] Torley Linden: Yes, please do...
[15:52] Bridie Linden: will do
[15:52] Daedalus Young: neither bug nor new feature, it's an enhancement
[15:52] Torley Linden: in the future we should have better consistency/design between estate and parcel-level controls.
[15:52] BugTest Dumpling: I think it's more a new feature, changing what is already there, not fixing it
[15:52] Torley Linden: Right now it's a disconnected confusion on some levels.
[15:53] Bridie Linden: Next ..
[15:53] Bridie Linden: VWR-4201[c] - Votes: 3 - Grabbing prim with llDetectedGrab(), and dragging to the left, rotates camera left.
[15:53] Squirrel Wood: one thing I have notices is that as an EM I cannot make use of the about land options...
[15:53] Squirrel Wood: if I'm not in the proper groups and roles
[15:54] Bridie Linden decline Mad About Saffron New Release 03/05/08 FC from A group member named Ginger Glimmer.
[15:54] Squirrel Wood: detectedgrab may not be involved at all. rapid clicking on a HUD prim will do the same
[15:54] Squirrel Wood: camera turns bit by bit to the left
[15:55] Bridie Linden: Can u comment Squirrel?
[15:55] Squirrel Wood: II shallll
[15:55] Bridie Linden: ty

[15:56] Taryn London: Reporter: Blue Linden.
[15:56] BugTest Dumpling just found a dazzle bug : ))
[15:56] Taryn London: "Stuff thats supposed to happen, part 1".
[15:56] Torley Linden: This needs more info... is it only a WindLight problem, for example?
[15:56] Daedalus Young: is that your book?
[15:56] Torley Linden: Affects Version/s isn't even specified.
[15:56] WarKirby Magojiro: that's a bit misleading
[15:56] WarKirby Magojiro: this is underwater
[15:56] WarKirby Magojiro: very different from bluescreen
[15:56] Bridie Linden nods
[15:57] Torley Linden: Good point, WarKirby.
[15:57] Torley Linden: May be a misunderstanding.
[15:57] Torley Linden: Weird, there's a actually a region named "what". :p
[15:57] Squirrel Wood: did we just skip 5171?
[15:57] BugTest Dumpling: Ah
[15:57] BugTest Dumpling: Wait
[15:58] Torley Linden: *smiles at Lex's comments and notes that's a strong case for why Support would benefit more from PJIRA awareness.*
[15:58] Bridie Linden: we did sorry Squirrel
[15:58] BugTest Dumpling: For VWR-4989 I think that relates to another Bug
[15:58] Bridie Linden: VWR-5171[c] - Votes: 2 - First Look-Windlight: Hovertext on subprims stops prims from appearing to move
[15:58] Daedalus Young: their bandwidth sits at 0, so they're clearly not connected
[15:59] Bridie Linden: Good eye Daed
[15:59] Torley Linden: For VWR-5171, I suggest import and assign to Pastrami.
[15:59] Daedalus Young: thx Bridie
[15:59] Bridie Linden: will do for 5171
[15:59] Squirrel Wood: I have seen that happen on a voting board I made which links and moves child prims
[15:59] Torley Linden: Thx Bridie.
[15:59] BugTest Dumpling: VWR-4989
[15:59] Bridie Linden: can i get a volunteer to add comments to 4989?
[15:59] Squirrel Wood: they get updated and show up in the right positions eventually though
[16:00] BugTest Dumpling: That relates to VWR-4338
[16:00] Bridie Linden: Wow, that brings us to 4pm!
[16:00] WarKirby Magojiro looks at 4989
[16:00] Bridie Linden: 19 issues today, good work!
[16:00] Daedalus Young: they could try clearing caches too
[16:01] Bridie Linden: More gold sarts for all!
[16:01] Torley Linden: We are all made of sarts!
[16:01] Daedalus Young: you'd need a sart-particle poofer
[16:01] Bridie Linden: Thx everyone!
[16:01] BugTest Dumpling: Can you Resolve VWR-4989 as Needs more Info please?
[16:01] Bridie Linden: I can!
[16:01] WarKirby Magojiro changed the issue title
[16:01] BugTest Dumpling: Yay
[16:01] Arawn Spitteler: Sart seems to refer to City Dweller, but there's some debate as to whether it derives from Merchant or the Turkic for Dingo
[16:01] Bridie Linden: See all of you next week!
