Contributions to repositories hosted on GitHub must come from individuals that have signed Linden Lab's updated Contributor License Agreement (CLA.) This contract is an alternative to the old PDF CLA used for repositories hosted on BitBucket. The CLA signing process is entirely digital and use a pull-request bot.

Overview

Signatures collected by the CLA bot are stored in a private GitHub repository visible to LL employees. At a high level, the process is:

  1. Submit a pull request to a Linden GitHub repository
  2. Follow instructions given by the CLA bot
  3. Done!

For more information and to read the CLA itself see https://github.com/secondlife/cla
