Modavia Marketing independently selected all advertisers and designer participants for the Best of Fall Fashion Show in Second Life. These selections were made without input from Linden Lab. Modavia provided the following statement:

Advertisers in the Modavia Fashion Directory and past Fashion Week participants are sent invitations first. Promotional advertisements are placed in key Second Life fashion magazines and the Modavia Fashion Marketing website, as open call to all fashion designers in Second Life. There is a fee to participate, as well as provision of 2 sets of the 12 outfits that will be shown on the runway. This is open to all designers up to the limit of 35 for the 8 days of the event. Fashion Designers in Second Life who are interested in participating in future Modavia Fashion Weeks should send a notecard to Poptart Lilliehook and express your interest in participation. Modavia Fashion Week will be held in the spring and fall each year, which coincides with Fashion Week in New York City.
