[12:03] Simon Linden: Hello everyone ...

[12:03] Simon Linden: ok, let's see ... this week's deploy information is here : http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Second-Life-Server/Deploys-for-the-week-of-2014-09-08/td-p/2819712

[12:03] Rex Cronon: hi lucy

[12:04] Rex Cronon: glad your stuff works too mb:)

[12:04] Martinrj Fayray: hello Simon

[12:04] Simon Linden: There's a new update going into the RC channels tomorrow, which has a few crash fixes plus an obscure edge case related to skilled gaming regions

[12:05] Simon Linden: The crash fixes aren't normal usage but some edge cases that needed attention

[12:05] Simon Linden: I'm guessing we'll have another one next week but there's one last fix that still needs to be done

[12:05] MB Robonaught: anyway inventory related simon?

[12:05] Rex Cronon: simon. when u say "obscure edge case related to skilled gaming regions" i am thinking of a dark alley and a bunch of guys playing dice:)

[12:05] Simon Linden: No, not inventory

[12:05] Simon Linden: Right Rex, kinda like that

[12:06] Lucia Nightfire: more like Lindens not beign able to leave skill gaming regions

[12:06] MISSING STRING (whirly.fizzle): Is it the one that prevented Lindens leaving a skill game region? lol

[12:06] Lucia Nightfire: beat her, yay

[12:06] MISSING STRING (whirly.fizzle): :P

[12:06] Simon Linden: lol - yeah, more like that one

[12:06] MISSING STRING (whirly.fizzle): Cool bug

[12:06] Tankmaster Finesmith: pfft, like lindens need to be anywhere else :P

[12:06] Rex Cronon: is not that bad to get stuck in a casino...

[12:06] Simon Linden: it wasn't just Lindens, but it was really anyone that didn't have proper access

[12:07] Simon Linden: Has anyone gone to the new regions? I know the Destination Guide is now listing some

[12:07] Tankmaster Finesmith: that would imply i log in for more than just these meetings :P

[12:07] Kitto Flora: Which ones? Realms?

[12:08] MISSING STRING (whirly.fizzle): The skill game regions?

[12:08] Lucia Nightfire: the skill gaming regions

[12:08] MISSING STRING (whirly.fizzle): Yeah been to a few when helping people to try & work out why they can't access them heh

[12:08] Rex Cronon: don't u need a "special" permit to go there?

[12:08] Simon Linden: yes, I meant the skilled gaming ones

[12:08] Martinrj Fayray: nah I can't, I only have my payment info on file a couple of days a year, whem I'm paying for my yearly premium subscription. So I'm a skill-games creator who can't go into skill gaming regions.. ha ha

[12:09] Simon Linden: No Rex, you just need to have the account info and geography to get in. You can't be in one of the US states that ban it

[12:09] Kallista Destiny: The Oldest Established Permanent Floating Crap Game

[12:09] MISSING STRING (whirly.fizzle): http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linden_Lab_Official:Second_Life_Skill_Gaming_FAQ#Why_can.E2.80.99t_I_access_a_Skill_Gaming_Region.3F

[12:10] Martinrj Fayray: you need to have your payment info connected. It's not enough to have the 'payment info used' flag. I think that's not very clever thought

[12:10] Martinrj Fayray: I don't leave the payment info on file, there's been too much scam

[12:11] Martinrj Fayray: and I'm sure everybody here knows what I'm talking about!

[12:11] MISSING STRING (whirly.fizzle): Thats still not enough. A lot of people have to remove and reenter their payment info to get access

[12:11] Simon Linden: Yes, some of the data needs to be refreshed to have it work correctly. Re-entering does that

[12:11] Rex Cronon: it seems to much trouble. easier to have friends over for a game of poker...

[12:11] MISSING STRING (whirly.fizzle): Yeah my alt had that problem

[12:12] MB Robonaught: I gamble enough that my computer can go online I don't need skilled gaming lol

[12:12] Simon Linden: The exact requirements are all set by legal issues, and aren't really technical

[12:12] Simon Linden: It will be interesting to see how the new skilled gaming regions work out

[12:13] Lucia Nightfire: it will be more interesting to see when LL competes with their own customers and opens their own casinos, heh

[12:13] Martinrj Fayray: casino games are still illegal in sl

[12:13] Lucia Nightfire: tick tock

[12:13] Lucia Nightfire: talking skill gaming "casino's" not gambling casinos

[12:14] Kitto Flora: How come I see lots of slot machines and the like in SL.

[12:14] Martinrj Fayray: yeah. that word just got me kind-of shocked:P

[12:14] MISSING STRING (whirly.fizzle): Its "skill" if you find a lawlyer to say so lol

[12:14] Lucia Nightfire: Kitto, LL apparently allows free play machines or so a Governance Linden decided

[12:14] Martinrj Fayray: lol

[12:14] Rex Cronon: they pay in prims, that u sel them back for $L ;0

[12:14] MB Robonaught: Simon sorry to ask, but could you help settle a debate that individual Lindens cannot tell anyone if something is considered skilled gaming and it must go through the application process?

[12:14] Lucia Nightfire: even if those free play machines could be switched to pay...

[12:14] Kitto Flora: Really?

[12:15] Lucia Nightfire: I've been sending AR's and thats the decision that was made repeatedly

[12:15] Lexbot Sinister: The whole "skill" part is yawn. Everyone knows that the owner of the game must be guaranteed to get a significant part of the money paid for the game to even exist.

[12:15] Kitto Flora: Maybe I'll look closer next time I run across a skybox with 5 slost in it.

[12:15] Lucia Nightfire: surprised me as I thought machines couldn't even have the pay option...

[12:15] Kitto Flora: 5/50

[12:15] Simon Linden: yes MB it needs to go through the approval process

[12:16] MB Robonaught: but what if the owner receives no money and only the players do lex

[12:16] Kitto Flora: I have two strange things to mention this week. Is the floor open?

[12:16] MB Robonaught: thanks simon

[12:17] Lexbot Sinister: if the owner doesn't receive any money, then where do the money for the skill gaming region come from? tsk.

[12:17] Simon Linden: That distinction of skilled or not is very fuzzy to me and really needs to be done by someone that is aware of the law. That's really the whole point of this ... getting things built that are legal and being clear that illegal games are not allowed

[12:17] Rex Cronon: the games r there to attact visitors?

[12:17] MB Robonaught: the players enter the pot then the pot is divided up between the winners

[12:17] Simon Linden: go ahead, Kitto

[12:17] Kitto Flora: OK

[12:18] MB Robonaught: example :Lracing buyin jars

[12:18] Lucia Nightfire: MB, those sploder type games go against the wagering policy

[12:18] Lucia Nightfire: as so the FAQ says

[12:18] Kitto Flora: First one is a border crossing problem. May have been going on for a couple weeks....

[12:18] Kitto Flora: Northbound Okemo Canyon -> Okemo Gorge

[12:18] MB Robonaught: it's not wagering you must drive better tghen anyone else

[12:18] Kitto Flora: Westbound Perwinkle -> Maroon

[12:18] Kitto Flora: Moving object (VEHICLE or KFM-driven) drifts on as ghost in destination region. After 2 - 3 minutes appears in destination region.

[12:18] Lucia Nightfire: sploders count against the wagering policy

[12:18] Kitto Flora: Avatars can cross normally.

[12:19] Kitto Flora: Izzy L restarted all 4 regions and the problem has not re-surfaced again, yet.

[12:19] Kitto Flora: So how come a 2-3 MINUTE delay?

[12:20] Lexbot Sinister: Oh, i also have a question for later, if i may.

[12:20] Simon Linden: Short answer is I have no idea, Kitto, especially if it's gone away due to a restart.

[12:20] Simon Linden: That usually means some component along the way was failing and the restart fixed it

[12:20] Kitto Flora: Anyone else noticed such a thing?

[12:20] The Most Boring Man in SL (bob.iwashi): Kitto, I jsut sent you an im about that, I asked LDPW to look at very simialr on same route not logn ago

[12:21] Simon Linden: The huge delay is odd ... I would think it would have timed out earlier

[12:21] Kitto Flora: Theres some evidence that at times it may be longer

[12:21] Kitto Flora: as the 'lost car' replacement system was firing of once every hour for several hours at times.

[12:22] Kitto Flora: Also the GSLR line has been found to have 6 cars running on it. There's supposed to be 1.

[12:22] Rex Cronon: what is gslr?

[12:23] Kitto Flora: Great Second Life Railway

[12:23] The Most Boring Man in SL (bob.iwashi): great sl railroad

[12:23] Kitto Flora: runs east west thru Perewinkle etc.

[12:23] The Most Boring Man in SL (bob.iwashi): Kitto was a founder i think?

[12:23] Kitto Flora: No

[12:23] Lexbot Sinister: Te question is a bit Firestorm related, but maybe someone can shed some ligt- There is an option in firestorm to rez things under the land group if possible- it´s always worked flawlessly for me, across all firestorm versions- now suddenly i have expirienced that it doesn't work, even on old firestorm version but i have to wear the group tag to be able to rez. Has something changed ? Or are there cases where the group rez just doesn't work...

[12:23] Rex Cronon: sorry.there r too many acronyms 4 me

[12:23] Kitto Flora: I juts run the railcars on it and patch the track when its broken

[12:23] Kitto Flora: All founders... long gone?

[12:23] Lucia Nightfire: cue the Whirls

[12:24] Lucia Nightfire: tht option was blocked for no copy objects afaik

[12:24] MISSING STRING (whirly.fizzle): Oh...reading lol. Was in IMs

[12:24] Tankmaster Finesmith: i think that got broken a while ago

[12:24] Lexbot Sinister: any objects.

[12:24] MISSING STRING (whirly.fizzle): No, nothings changed there

[12:24] MISSING STRING (whirly.fizzle): Should work as its always done

[12:24] Lexbot Sinister: it works as intended on our mainland plot, but at a friends homestead, nope.

[12:24] Kitto Flora: Firestorm - yes, I cant find that option either. I suspect it dont exist

[12:25] Lucia Nightfire: don't you have to own teh land at 0,0,0 too?

[12:25] Lexbot Sinister: no, thats a different thing.

[12:25] MISSING STRING (whirly.fizzle): Thats restore to lst position lucia, not rez under land group

[12:25] Lucia Nightfire: then I'm high

[12:25] Lucia Nightfire: oh the land group thing, heh

[12:25] Lucia Nightfire: still waking up I guess, lol

[12:25] MISSING STRING (whirly.fizzle): The friends homestead - it depends how land is setup whether you have to wear tag or not

[12:26] Lexbot Sinister: The oddest thing is that sometimes it helps to relog right there, and you get permission to build without the group tag O.o

[12:26] Kitto Flora: Speaking of rezzing 'in group' - this AM I was getting persistent 'You cant rez here bbecause owner dont permit it' messages, but the parcel is et to rez by anyone, and also I'm in same group as the land. On 2nd attempt - no error.

[12:26] Lucia Nightfire: land set to group and land group owned are two different things

[12:26] MISSING STRING (whirly.fizzle): You trying to rez ontop of mesh Kitto?

[12:26] Lexbot Sinister: Ok, so it will depend on setup. Gotcha!

[12:27] Kitto Flora: MISSING - no. on inside of hollow cube - a skybox.

[12:30] MB Robonaught: will there ever be a way to pipe the stats window items into LSL?

[12:30] MB Robonaught: like for monitoring a sim peformance

[12:31] MB Robonaught: performance

[12:31] Tankmaster Finesmith: you can already get a lot of sim performance data via lsl

[12:31] MB Robonaught: yes but not as much as needed

[12:31] Kitto Flora: Look closely at the green column...

[12:31] Tankmaster Finesmith: what else are you looking for?'

[12:32] MB Robonaught: just about all of it in the stats window

[12:33] MB Robonaught: I'm a data freak and like to watch for trends lol

[12:33] Mona Eberhardt: Hi Oz.

[12:33] Simon Linden: Hmm, I don't see why those couldn't be added to LSL ... they really could be added to llGetEnv()

[12:33] Simon Linden: or there should be llGetRegionDetails()

[12:33] Tankmaster Finesmith: file a jira with LL asking for new lsl features you want

[12:33] Lucia Nightfire: I'd like to know what agent's crappy connection causes excessive timings heh

[12:33] MB Robonaught: would help in diagnosing a server issue not easilyspoted manually

[12:34] Simon Linden: yes, please do file a jira ... we've been sorting and collecting the LSL feature requests and hope to have a project sometime (with no promises on dates, what's there, yada yada)

[12:34] MB Robonaught: sure would aide in the LL support in not having to spend time if the ownder already had stats\

[12:34] MB Robonaught: ok °?°

[12:34] Oz Linden: hi all... sorry I'm late - my daughter dropped in

[12:34] MB Robonaught: hi Oz °?°

[12:35] Rex Cronon: hi oz

[12:35] Lucia Nightfire: the onyl stat published atm is the pf timing

[12:36] Rex Cronon: if sl viewer could run on a cell than anybody could log in and take care of visitors:)

[12:36] Lucia Nightfire: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/LlGetSimStats

[12:36] Kitto Flora: Aren't a lot of those stats from the client? LSL has no access to them.

[12:36] Kitto Flora: (LSL engine)

[12:36] MB Robonaught: right Kitto

[12:37] Simon Linden: you get frame rates too Lucy - like for that big display

[12:37] Lucia Nightfire: I guess I meant other than TD, FPS

[12:37] Simon Linden: but it is incomplete ... since we push them to the viewer I don't see why LSL shouldn't have access

[12:37] MB Robonaught: who has the time to watch the client stats all day when LSL could just generate a report of abnormalities

[12:39] MB Robonaught: the report could suggest a sim restart instead of the owner guessing that may help

[12:39] Oz Linden: on the other hand, we don't really want to encourage people to have lots of scripts running to monitory stats - and in the process making those stats worse

[12:39] Lucia Nightfire: idt it could effectively derive that conclusion

[12:40] MB Robonaught: true OZ

[12:41] Oz Linden: I suspect that given the chance, lots of people (including some of you here) would put such scripts in attachments and wear them all the time

[12:41] Rex Cronon: maybe those stats can be put on a web page and allow the viewer and any browser access to them? then u wouldn't need lsl scripts

[12:41] MB Robonaught: would also come in handy when filing JIRA's....if the prob is intermittent then the one filing can show a complete example of what was going on when it did mess up

[12:42] Simon Linden: if people put them on sensible timers (*cough*) they wouldn't be much of a load. There's a huge difference between looking every minute, second or trying every frame

[12:42] Lucia Nightfire: presonally I hate seeing people wear those things esp teh ones that poll every 0.01 sec....

[12:42] Lucia Nightfire: it should only be operational for land owners

[12:42] Rex Cronon: i think doing it once per sec is not that bad:)

[12:42] MB Robonaught: I agree with Lucy

[12:42] Jenna Felton: you could probably restrict the functions to the land owner or land group owned scripts

[12:43] Oz Linden: I'd be inclined to say only region owners and have a very limiting throttle on them

[12:43] Jenna Felton: then you avoid griefing by monitoring foreign parcells :)

[12:43] Lucia Nightfire: sadly, most "combat" HUD systems have those things in them...

[12:43] Lucia Nightfire: and they poll at insane rates

[12:43] Rex Cronon: make it a web page:)

[12:43] Lucia Nightfire: and most people don't even look at it or know wth the data means either

[12:43] MB Robonaught: you mean LL make it a web page rex?

[12:43] Rex Cronon: yes

[12:44] MB Robonaught: that would work great too

[12:44] Rex Cronon: as u can see a map of a sim, u should be able to see its stats on a web page:)

[12:44] MB Robonaught: just like LL does for people online and exchange rates already

[12:45] Jenna Felton: with possibility to restart region remotely?

[12:45] Rex Cronon: if i could see the stats before logging in than i might not log in some sims. like for example sandbox weapons testing:)

[12:45] Lexbot Sinister: Stats on a webpage would actually be like 20x times better

[12:45] Rex Cronon: that would't be bad either jenna:)

[12:46] Lucia Nightfire: Rex, stats won't show a bombed state, heh

[12:46] Lucia Nightfire: unless its obj inv based bombing

[12:46] Rex Cronon: depends on what info they show lucy:)

[12:46] Simon Linden: There's a huge difference between one page on L$ rates and over 20k for regions

[12:47] MB Robonaught: well it sounded like a good idea lol

[12:47] Mona Eberhardt: Call me ignorant, but WTF is it with all those "combat" HUDs?

[12:47] Rex Cronon: they r used r "combat" lol

[12:47] Lucia Nightfire: if regions exported their stats ever few sec to a server and taht server is accessed for stats then it might not be so bad

[12:47] Lucia Nightfire: but, infrastructure, heh

[12:47] Duckie Dickins: stats on a webpage would offer little on investment of programmers to program it, where as an LSL addition is stats the server is already generating and pushing to clients. There's no real gain for LL to implement it other than more people who don't know what the stats truly mean to support ticket about it alot.

[12:47] Rex Cronon: not really. they r used 4 griefing. most of them

[12:47] Mona Eberhardt: To the best of my knowledge, they're only used for griefing. So, maybe a summary deletion of these "goods" from the marketplace and SL, as well as a summary mass deletion of their creators' accounts would send a message?

[12:48] MB Robonaught: how about releasing the connections so someone can create there own wep page parser?

[12:48] Rex Cronon: lol mona

[12:48] MB Robonaught: like the viewer connects to

[12:48] Mona Eberhardt: Like FB regularly purges SL avatar accounts, maybe LL could purge the accounts of combat HUD peddlers?

[12:49] Lucia Nightfire: combat HUDs aren't goign away

[12:49] Rex Cronon: u would get an outcry if ll tried to do that

[12:49] Jenna Felton: stats on the web page will be a statistic value. Not like the info on the stats display that is actualy a momentum snapshot. Stats on the web page wil colect the data over a minute or so and display the medians. Which the sims could send once a minute to the server

[12:49] Mona Eberhardt: Outcry from whom?

[12:49] Rex Cronon: those that sell them and their buyers:)

[12:49] Jenna Felton: because you can not watch values in realtime on web page

[12:49] Rex Cronon: those things r not cheap

[12:49] Lucia Nightfire: I wish LL had a contengency plan for detecting and removing sculpt laggers rezzed and worn in regions though, heh

[12:49] Mona Eberhardt: Nothing the banhammer can't solve, Rex.

[12:50] MB Robonaught: why not jenna?

[12:50] Simon Linden: Doesn't LSL give you enough info to find bad script loaded AVs?

[12:50] MB Robonaught: no it doesn't

[12:50] Jenna Felton: ok, probably you can, with Ajax or other dynamic technology.

[12:51] Lucia Nightfire: it doesn't give enough info to know when someone attaches a sculpt lagger, heh

[12:51] Jenna Felton: forgot about it :)

[12:51] Simon Linden: In general, we'd rather give you the info to make your own region policy, because one size won't fit all

[12:51] MB Robonaught: you can spot high script but not ones that are doing damage that read low

[12:51] Lucia Nightfire: thanks in part to the pre capped calc for scripted render weight return

[12:51] Duckie Dickins: Maybe people just need to stop being so intolerant of other people's attachments.....

[12:51] MB Robonaught: you can easily with asp.net

[12:52] Lucia Nightfire: I need access to attached keys, if only visual keys at that def be able to detect sculpt laggersworn

[12:52] MB Robonaught: how does the viewer get the stats? just a connection string right?

[12:52] Rex Cronon: we also need data that show how much memory attached scripts use and how much time to they spend being run(maybe the could be wating 4 a click to work)

[12:52] Lucia Nightfire: and a sensible decay rate, heh

[12:53] Rex Cronon: time do they spend*

[12:53] Lucia Nightfire: 2 min, not 10, not 30

[12:53] Av Script Checker 0.5 KF too: Kallista Destiny has 71 scripts using 74 uSecs

[12:53] Av Script Checker 0.5 KF too: Ron Khondji has 1 scripts using 2 uSecs

[12:53] Av Script Checker 0.5 KF too: Lexbot Sinister has 38 scripts using 51 uSecs

[12:53] Av Script Checker 0.5 KF too: TankMaster Finesmith has 77 scripts using 66 uSecs

[12:53] Av Script Checker 0.5 KF too: Duckie Dickins has 58 scripts using 148 uSecs

[12:53] Av Script Checker 0.5 KF too: Gibson Firehawk has 4 scripts using 15 uSecs

[12:53] Av Script Checker 0.5 KF too: Kirsten Kiergarten has 11 scripts using 10 uSecs

[12:53] Av Script Checker 0.5 KF too: Yuzuru Jewell has 5 scripts using 5 uSecs

[12:53] Av Script Checker 0.5 KF too: Mona Eberhardt has 35 scripts using 68 uSecs

[12:53] Av Script Checker 0.5 KF too: Whirly Fizzle has 34 scripts using 49 uSecs

[12:53] Av Script Checker 0.5 KF too: Inara Pey has 7 scripts using 9 uSecs

[12:53] Av Script Checker 0.5 KF too: Rex Cronon has 75 scripts using 59 uSecs

[12:53] Av Script Checker 0.5 KF too: Lucia Nightfire has 124 scripts using 203 uSecs

[12:53] Av Script Checker 0.5 KF too: Simon Linden has 47 scripts using 24 uSecs

[12:53] Av Script Checker 0.5 KF too: Jenna Felton has 147 scripts using 156 uSecs

[12:53] Av Script Checker 0.5 KF too: Nalates Urriah has 7 scripts using 48 uSecs

[12:53] Lucia Nightfire: ownersay ftw

[12:54] MB Robonaught: it missed my script °?°

[12:54] Tankmaster Finesmith: spmmer :P

[12:54] Kitto Flora: Lucia!

[12:54] Lucia Nightfire: sensor based it seems

[12:54] Rex Cronon: this is on of those "loved" scripts that like to spew out on channel 0 everything :(

[12:54] Jenna Felton: Hope Kito has no permission to kik people from place :)

[12:54] Jenna Felton: (here)

[12:54] Duckie Dickins: godwin's law.......script nazis......going home. thanks for the meeting.

[12:55] Rex Cronon: lol

[12:55] Kitto Flora: Not here - but thats a demo - it is possible at present to detect the script load of all avs in a region.

[12:55] Rex Cronon: bye duckie

[12:55] Oz Linden: time to prep for my next meeting... bye all

[12:55] Martinrj Fayray: goodbye Oz

[12:55] Tankmaster Finesmith: tc

[12:55] Mona Eberhardt: Bye Oz.

[12:55] Rex Cronon: tc oz

[12:55] MB Robonaught: bye Oz

[12:55] Lexbot Sinister: Byeeee

[12:55] Tankmaster Finesmith: have a good rest of the week, simon

[12:56] Jenna Felton: ok

[12:56] Mona Eberhardt: Take care, Simon.

[12:56] Lucia Nightfire: we still got 4 min

[12:56] Lucia Nightfire: stuff can happen, lol

[12:56] Lucia Nightfire: and that was Oz that left too

[12:56] Simon Linden: yes, I don't have to run right away

[12:56] Rex Cronon: the aliens r comming;)

[12:56] Mona Eberhardt: Nah, the Russians are.

[12:56] Rex Cronon: run!

[12:56] Jenna Felton: i have a short question related to interesting viewer

[12:57] MB Robonaught: any chance of getting the connection strings of the stats the viewers use without tearing apart a viewer?

[12:57] Simon Linden: I'm not sure what you mean, MB

[12:58] MB Robonaught: well for the stats window to work it has to get info from someplace...

[12:58] Simon Linden: what's that, Jenna? I probably dont' know the answer but go ahead and ask

[12:58] MISSING STRING (whirly.fizzle): Isnt it a cap?

[12:58] Jenna Felton: when your view is blocked by a prm on the hud, will the viewer download informations about objects in sight that is blocked?

[12:58] Lucia Nightfire: it should Jenna

[12:59] Simon Linden: I don't think it does any view culling based on HUDs

[12:59] MB Robonaught: I assume the stats window uses a connection string to get the info

[12:59] Simon Linden: so yes, those should still get all updates

[12:59] Lucia Nightfire: as HUDs won't block sculpt laggers from rendering when they rez, heh

[12:59] Jenna Felton: ok, than a problem i had is not because of the prim.

[13:00] Jenna Felton: For some reason the sims i teleported into were missing prims. But after i removed a trnsparent prim from the hud, i probably fixed that and could see all prims.

[13:00] Simon Linden: MB I'd have to look at how the stats get there ... I forget how those are delivered

[13:00] Lucia Nightfire: you caused a update to your person

[13:00] Jenna Felton: so i assumed that is interesting viewer code built in into firestorm that caused that problem

[13:01] Lucia Nightfire: if you changed your group it probably would have had teh same effect

[13:01] MB Robonaught: when would be a good time to check back? if I may

[13:01] MB Robonaught: I'd just like to help with improving sim perforamnce

[13:01] MISSING STRING (whirly.fizzle): Interesting has some quirks heh

[13:01] Jenna Felton: hm, ok, thank you for suggestion Lucy :)

[13:01] Rex Cronon: jenna. there is specific transparancy texture that could be doing that

[13:02] Gibson (gibson.firehawk): thats the understatement of the day Whirly :P

[13:02] MISSING STRING (whirly.fizzle): If you change active group tag before all objects have loaded, loading will stop dead & youll have lots of missing objects

[13:02] Jenna Felton: i will investigate it more Rex :)

[13:02] MISSING STRING (whirly.fizzle): Well yeah, I was being polite :P

[13:02] Simon Linden: Jenna - the updates about the objects are definitely sent from the viewer, but the viewer graphics pipeline does its own magic about visibility, so that might be a viewer-side problem

[13:03] Simon Linden: sorry, sent from the SERVER

[13:03] Jenna Felton: thank you Mona

[13:03] Mona Eberhardt: Don't mention it, Jenna.

[13:04] Simon Linden: ok, I need to go ... thanks everyone for coming today and the talk
