way too much information for login!

taking a look at Current login protocols i think it's obvious that we have way too much information going over the wire here.

login should really just return a capability to the respective agent server. nothing more. the agent server should do the "heavier" lifting and the client should get from agent server list of available capabilities and then, based on what it needs (and when it needs it) use those capabilities.
