I liked the first impression of Rob's icon, but on second glance the perspective looks very wrong. So I did some quick edits in Inkscape and can now propose two slightly different icons:

Maybe I'll provide a third variant with a base with straight sides later. (Not done, yet. But shouldn't be difficult.)
