Welcome to the Apprentice Mentor group. You should know that after the Orientation Session, you must complete one hour of Buddy Shadowing with an Apprentice Buddy. I'm one of those Apprentice Buddies, and I will tell you quickly how are those Shadowings with me:
* First, I only do Buddy Shadowing with '''Spanish-speaking''' Apprentices. If you don't understand Spanish, I advise you to look for an [[Apprentice Buddy Availability|Apprentice Buddy]] who speaks your language.
* My schedule is from '''12:00 p.m. to 3:00 pm SLT'''. On weekends I've more flexibility and fitness for other schedules.
* To request one of these experiences or obtain more details, please contact me using '''IM''', a '''notecard''' or the '''Buddy Center''' at SLVEC.
* At the selected date and time, we will be in the main classroom of the SLVEC.
* We'll visit some of the areas where later you'll work as Mentor: the Orientation Islands, Help Islands and Welcome Areas
* During this tour, I'll comment you some of the problems or situations that often arise in such places as well various ways of action or advices.
* If in any of these places we find a Resident who needed support, you will help him. Do not worry: I will be there to help you ;)

bienvenido al grupo de Mentores Aprendices. como ya sabrás por lo que has podido leer en el mail que te enviaron o en el Portal del Voluntario, o por lo que te han contado durante la Sesión de Orientación, has de completar una hora de acompañamiento (o 'shadowing') con un 'Apprentice Buddy'. yo tengo ese rol, y te voy a contar rápidamente en qué consiste las Experiencias de Seguimiento que realizo:

- en primer lugar, las realizo con Aprendices que hablen español, para mayor facilidad de comunicación. si no es el caso, te aconsejo que busques un Apprentice Buddy que hable tu idioma para mayor fluidez.

- el horario en el que puedo realizar las Experiencias son las tardes/noches en horario europeo, que viene a corresponder a las 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM de horario SL. los fines de semana puedo tener más flexibilidad y adecuarme a otros horarios.

- para solicitar una de estas Experiencias u obtener más detalles, ponte en contacto conmigo usando IM, una notecard o el sistema de comunicación con Buddies instalado en el SLVEC.
 
- una vez concretado el día y la hora en la que vayamos a realizar la Experiencia, nos encontraremos en el aula principal del SLVEC.
 
- a partir de ese momento, nos dirigiremos a visitar algunas de las zonas donde más adelante efectuarás tu labor como Mentor, como son las Islas de Orientación, de Ayuda, de Ayuda pública y las zonas de bienvenida.
 
- durante ese recorrido, te comentaré algunos de los problemas o situaciones que suelen surgir en estos lugares, así como diversas formas de actuación ante ellos
 
- si en cualquiera de esos lugares encontramos un residente que precise ayuda o apoyo, nos dirigiremos a él y tú serás el encargado de echarle una mano. no te preocupes, yo estaré allí para ayudarte ;)
 
- el recorrido no nos ocupará más de de una hora, tras la cual la daremos por finalizada y yo enviaré un mensaje sobre su realización al V-Team, el cuál, transcurrido un tiempo y si todo está conforme, te incluirá en el grupo oficial de Mentores de Second Life.
