* Given the new arrangements under which Lindens now appear only rarely, I would like to suggest that the topic we hammered out in the last meeting and [[Client-side Scripting for HUDs and Widgets|which I've now written up]] be offered for their consideration at the next such "special" meeting.  As it's reasonably well presented and easy to digest, hopefully we could get a very focussed response. Revision as of 22:42, 15 November 2008

This is a running list of topics for the User Experience Interest Group discussions. If you have a topic request or suggestion, edit this page to add it at the end of the appropriate list.

If you add a topic, please sign it with (~~~~). That will be converted to your name and the current date, so we can easily see how recent a topic is. For example:

* Ways to make inventory easier to use. (~~~~)

Becomes:

  • Making inventories easier to manage. (Jacek Antonelli 06:59, 4 November 2008 (UTC))

Topic Requests (High Priority)

These are topics that someone has requested to be discussed soon. When selecting the weekly topic, topic requests usually take priority over the fallback topics.

  • Support for users with visual disturbances:
    • Alternatives to colour coding for information (e.g. for those with colour blindness, dyslexia, Irlen-Myers);
    • Alternative fonts (serif and sans-serif skins) for improved legibility;
    • Possibly extending to hooking into the blind support tools such as screen readers, tools to enable heightened contrast etc. (Eloise Pasteur 01:34, 12 November 2008 (UTC))
  • Given the new arrangements under which Lindens now appear only rarely at UEIG meetings, I would like to suggest that the topic we hammered out in the last meeting and which I've now written up be offered for their consideration at the next such "special" meeting. As it's reasonably well presented and easy to digest, hopefully we could get a very focussed response. Morgaine Dinova 05:41, 16 November 2008 (UTC)

Fallback Topics (Low Priority)

These are topic ideas that would be interesting to discuss, but don't need to be discussed soon.

  • Even more about HUDs. We just can't talk about enough! Geneko Nemeth 00:12, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
    • Thinking about it, in-world vendors and signs are very similar to HUDs, except they aren't attached. Geneko Nemeth 00:12, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
  • (If you have a topic suggestion, edit this page to add it!)
