Your edit to llVolumeDetect. Do you mean that llVolumeDetect does not work on attachments? This is already mentioned. Or do you mean that no bump is detected for the bump log? In that case it would have no bearing on the functionality of llVolumeDetect. Since an avatar cannot be scripted an avatar cannot have events to be triggered. Can you please explain what you mean? -- Eddy CUBE jpg.jpgEddy (talk|contribs) 15:50, 11 September 2009 (UTC)

I read it to mean that attachments don't receive collision events when the avatar interpenetrates a VolumeDetect object. I re-enforced some of the other caveats and rewrote the new one, stripping the previously stated information. -- Strife (talk|contribs) 20:11, 11 September 2009 (UTC)
Okies. I get it now. TY Strife. An attachment with a script to detect collisions will not "know" it has "hit" a llVolumeDetect object. I couldn't help but notice that the caveats still say that llVolumeDetect can only detect physical objects and avatars. While testing sensors and VolDet I found that scripted non-phys were detected also. -- Eddy CUBE jpg.jpgEddy (talk|contribs) 20:30, 11 September 2009 (UTC)
Interesting, it should probably be changed from Physical to Active. How did you move the object so it collided with the VD object? -- Strife (talk|contribs) 20:56, 11 September 2009 (UTC)
See VolDet talk. I pushed the objects about with cursor and held them up with llBuoyancy. If you can remember the cross posted example where I missed out the elses on the ifs leaving it to cascade, that was what I was testing when I found it out. I can't remember all the details now. It took hours to work through. I'll rack my little brains while I walk the dog. -- Eddy CUBE jpg.jpgEddy (talk|contribs) 21:01, 11 September 2009 (UTC)
