This article is ready for technical review.

Lag can refer to several distinct types of problems affecting your Second Life experience. Luckily, the Second Life viewer's built-in tool helps you determine what type of lag you are experiencing. The Lag Meter indicates Client, Network and Server lag using green, yellow and red lights, similar to traffic lights. Green is go!

Client   Shows lag experienced on your end (viewer) along with a description of a possible cause of low client frame rate.
Network   Shows lag with your network connections between your viewer and our servers along with a description of a possible cause of network lag.
Server   Shows lag that may occur from our Linden Lab servers.
Toggle Toggle   Toggle window size. Collapsed window will not include lag descriptions.
