Arokh Takakura: it had a 1.2 ghz AMD Athlon too, but only a single core, and about 512mb of ram, and a 256mb graphics card that Secondlife refused to register as 256 and claimed it was 128.

Torley Linden: Loose ends, hot issues we should be aware of, etc.? I know some folks have had trouble making it due to service issues today. :\
Torley Linden: Arokh: Hmmm... Second Life currently fails to recognize that? We have had detection problems in that vein earlier, usually applicable to a lot more graphics card memory tho, e.g., 640 MB.

Hypatia Callisto: yeah, they put wrong parts of the texture on different parts - like it misses little rectangular pixes of the texture, it looks like they have noise all over them
Torley Linden: I haven't seen many specific complaints of this Zen, so I'd say "not hot/not noticed enough" for now.

Hypatia Callisto: go down to ground level I get it constantly, on everything, my clothes, my skin, prims
Zen Linden: have you tried settings between 256 and 128?
Hypatia Callisto: I would still get it until I went down to 128, and sometimes even at 128

I remember talking to Steve about this- he was able to give a better technical explanation of what was happening, but his cure basically amounted to "lower the graphics hardware memory setting". maybe now that I'm not the only one, we can get more in-depth on it :-)
