Discussion points:
AR System - haven’t heard back from all survey takers, but it appears the biggest problem is particle
system bombing
- in place so residents as a way that residents can let LL know when they believe another resident has violated the community standards - we acknowledge the AR tool needs improvement (bogus AR’s, evidence required: chat logs, screenshots, transactional logs, etc.); we’re working on it - distinction between warning, suspension, and banning. The nature of action depends to some extent on nature of the offense as well as history of resident (LL tends to lead toward leniency, unless there’s a history of abuse) - perhaps allow visibility of AR’s to residents (but not who filed) - implementation to a more “weighted” system: older vs. newer residents
Other - anti-gambling policy states that an illegal machine/game is one where there’s a random element and payout (see action item below) - Rollbacks require Linden intervention
Action Items:
- Sparkle Skye to drop a copy of each game to Michael Linden to check why one is allowed
and one not
- Question from Beam Ray:
Robin, do you mean specifically looking for ways to make DMCA claims more effective by having them affect the existence of any copies in inventories that may be around? If I buy something that has a DMCA notification, shouldn't it appear as 'DMCA notification filed' along the lines of 'missing image'?
- Idea: wiki page dedicated to the development of sound AR system (Ichi Jaehun willing to contribute)
- If Ichi finds a bot to control meetings—advise Robin
Next time: - the value of wiki’s - Linden Role’s wiki need updating
