That's the process for folks with commit privileges. Need to clarify what people without those privileges need to do to submit a patch. Note to Mm Alder: your version has a long narrative that isn't exactly necessary for newcomers, and certainly is not putting our best foot forward in building a community. More after the weekend. -- Rob Linden 19:14, 10 May 2009 (UTC)
Wow. I thought the Wiki ate my changes. My heart sank think about having to do it all over. Then I read your comment and my heart sank even further. Mm Alder 19:37, 10 May 2009 (UTC)
:I hate to be a curmudgeon, but I'm not going to have the time right now to go through what you wrote with a fine-toothed comb. I'll make an effort to incorporate the non-controversial parts of what you wrote this coming week, and have a discussion about the controversial parts. The gist: let's not make this page yet another venue to flog Linden Lab for what you think we're doing wrong. -- Rob Linden 19:53, 10 May 2009 (UTC)
Discussion next week is fine. My intention was quite the opposite: to show that Linden recognized some problems and is trying to make things better. I didn't put this much effort into documenting the new effort in order to discourage it. I think it's great! Mm Alder 20:06, 10 May 2009 (UTC) |

Mm's version
Note to Mm Alder: your version has a long narrative that isn't exactly necessary for newcomers, and certainly is not putting our best foot forward in building a community. More after the weekend. -- Rob Linden 19:14, 10 May 2009 (UTC)
