Your Second Life account and avatar aren't restricted to any one gender. You can save different outfits of any gender and switch between them whenever you like. The Library folder within your Inventory has various male and female outfits to demonstrate some of the many looks you can create in Second Life. If you're trying to fine-tune your current avatar, but they happen to be the wrong gender, a gender swap is quick, easy, and surgery-free. 1) Right-click your avatar and choose Appearance. You can also select Appearance from the Edit menu. 2) Click on the Shape tab. 3) In the lower-center of the window (Below Body/Head/etc), there is a small box and radio button for Male/Female. Click these radio buttons to switch to your gender of preference. 4) Feel free to use the other Shape tools to fine-tune your body once you've settled into your new form. More details on the Appearance menu can be found in How do I change my avatar's appearance?
