Second Life Marketplace BETA Releases and Reporting of Issues

This document is a running list of release notes from the most recent Beta Marketplace Releases to [Aditi]. It will be archived periodically. Since the Marketplace is a web product, any deployment will affect all customers immediately. A Beta grid gives you the chance to try out changes before we deploy them.

Release Notes for Current BETA Marketplace Release

December 12, 2011

The fixes in this deploy will not be released separately. The next Aditi deploy will have Direct Delivery turned on for all merchants and will include these fixes. We have a workaround involving customer service for WEB-4311, but we will not be deploying the below fix until 2012.


Merchant Facing Fixes

  • WEB-4311 Merchants failing to get past ToS in admin
  • Bulk edit will now check the category box when a new category is set, allowing the save to succeed

NOTE: There are some active Direct Delivery listings that you can test purchase (most should have "DD:" in the title). This functionality will NOT be active as part of the next release, but please try it out if you would like.

Known Beta Issues

    
  • Listings with an updated date before Sept. 1, 2011 may behave unexpectedly--stick to updating listings with a date after that (which should be most, due to system updates).
  • The web site for Xstreet is not accessible on Aditi; if this becomes blocking, file a JIRA with what you are trying to do and we'll follow up
  • We are still seeing instances of WEB-3185: listings removed from merchant inventory are still appearing to users

Merchant Facing Fixes

  • WEB-4150 Unlisted and unavailable incorrect
  • WEB-4152 Fewer listings are shown per page than pagination settings should display
  • WEB-4215 Manage inventory product count does not match actual listing count
  • Searching by SKU code fully supported in manage inventory
  • Updated user interface for manage inventory
  • User Licensed is now an option for permissions
  • Resident accounts must have a minimum age of 5 days to create a store (become a Merchant)
