- [10:03] Alexa Linden: do we want to go ahead and start, and I'll take notes and take care of all the jira's after the meeting?
- [10:03] Wyn Galbraith: Running! He should just tp.
- [10:03] Torley Linden: Sounds good to me, Alexa!
- [10:03] Daedalus Young: I already submitted 2 dazzle bugs, btw :P
- [10:03] Alexa Linden: let's start with patches
- [10:03] Torley Linden: *pulls up the Agenda*
- [10:03] Torley Linden: Oh thank you Daed.
- [10:03] Alexa Linden: VWR-1651
- [10:04] Alexa Linden: Add ability to open a partners profile whilst viewing an avatar's profile
- [10:04] Squirrel Wood: torley, very interesting but 6pm slt is way past my sleeping time ^^
- [10:04] Torley Linden: Today's UI bug triage agenda... [1]
- [10:04] Torley Linden: misses my dual monitors and Alt-tabs back and forth.
- [10:05] Daedalus Young: ah yes, 1651 looks good
- [10:05] Torley Linden: My wife has been wanting this patch for awhile! She suggested a similar feature a long time ago.
- [10:05] Daedalus Young: I always wondered why it wasn't there
- [10:05] Alexa Linden: it makes sense
- [10:05] Daedalus Young: you can get group info from profiles, then why not partner's profile
- [10:05] Alexa Linden: right
- [10:05] Wyn Galbraith: Torley got married?
- [10:05] Torley Linden: *checks internally*
- [10:05] Torley Linden: :)
- [10:05] Torley Linden: Ah yes, see Soft's comment "Waiting on some internal artwork for a related feature".
- [10:06] Wyn Galbraith: Congratulations.
- [10:06] Torley Linden: Thanks, she's not legally my wife yet but I'm committed. =o)
- [10:06] Alexa Linden: :D
- [10:06] Wyn Galbraith: Just as good, Torley.
- [10:06] Torley Linden: So, this issue's already been imported.
- [10:07] Alexa Linden: leave as-is then?
- [10:07] Torley Linden: Yup! I'll tag it for the internal Rx queue so Ben will see it later.
- [10:07] Alexa Linden: ok
- [10:07] Alexa Linden: next is VWR-2681
- [10:07] Alexa Linden: Populate the Resident Chooser list with avatars within chat distance
- [10:07] Torley Linden: Thanks Alexa.
- [10:08] Daedalus Young: we have more info on that now
- [10:08] Daedalus Young: and new patch
- [10:08] Torley Linden: Sorry I didn't reply earlier, I was out of office.
- [10:08] Alexa Linden: np :)
- [10:09] Torley Linden: I'll add a comment now, it looks to import? What do ya think, guys?
- [10:09] Alexa Linden: yes
- [10:09] Squirrel Wood: useful thing when you need to for example, ban someone...
- [10:09] Alexa Linden: marking as import
- [10:10] Alexa Linden: on to the next one?
- [10:10] Alexa Linden: VWR-2866
- [10:10] Torley Linden: Yup!
- [10:10] Alexa Linden: Optionally show number of people in a region as text on the map
- [10:10] Daedalus Young: looks nice, rather than hovering your mouse over each region
- [10:11] Jacek Antonelli: waves to all
- [10:11] Daedalus Young: hi
- [10:11] Alexa Linden: Hi Jacek :)
- [10:11] Alexa Linden: any thoughts or comments on this one?
- [10:12] Wyn Galbraith: Interesting idea.
- [10:12] Daedalus Young: I would see the number after the region name
- [10:12] Daedalus Young: so region (0)
- [10:12] Wyn Galbraith: likes it, "But what sort of load would it add to the map?"
- [10:12] Daedalus Young: instead of the 2 lines it makes now
- [10:13] Torley Linden: Hmmm it appears the importer has moved... *checks with Rob*
- [10:13] Jacek Antonelli: Daedalus: I tried putting it after the name, but it got confusing (to me, at least).
- [10:13] Alexa Linden: Torley, your thoughts?
- [10:13] Daedalus Young: ok
- [10:13] Wyn Galbraith: It only makes it when you hover rather than all the time for each sim. Big difference. But I don't know if it would drag the map down farther.
- [10:14] Alexa Linden: so are we in agreement to import?
- [10:14] Jacek Antonelli: As for load -- it doesn't add any load to the server, as the info is already stored on the client. It just adds a tiny bit of rendering, and only if the option is enabled
- [10:14] Wyn Galbraith: nods.
- [10:14] Torley Linden: Pardon, getting caught up here.
- [10:14] Daedalus Young: looks good to me then
- [10:14] Squirrel Wood: useful information it is
- [10:14] Wyn Galbraith: Good point.
- [10:14] Torley Linden: The importer disappeared and I'm asking Rob for help. :)
- [10:15] Alexa Linden: np - I can do after the meeting
- [10:15] Torley Linden: Oh great Alexa.
- [10:15] Lower Deck: Doors: tag Clip is at the door.
- [10:15] Torley Linden: VWR-2866 sounds useful to me, consistent with the World Map.
- [10:15] Torley Linden: I wish the World Map and Mini-Map were essentially one and the same but expandable/collapsible.
- [10:15] Alexa Linden: I'm marking as import then :)
- [10:15] Lower Deck: Doors: tag Clip is at the door.
- [10:15] Torley Linden: Great!
- [10:15] Alexa Linden: our next item is VWR-2847
- [10:15] Wyn Galbraith: Good idea, Torley.
- [10:16] Alexa Linden: Wrong hover text in Japanese UI
- [10:16] Torley Linden: This sounds straightforward and good.
- [10:16] Alexa Linden: yup
- [10:16] Daedalus Young: agreed
- [10:16] Torley Linden: Alissa's internationalization help is really appreciated.
- [10:16] Security Panel: tag Clip, you are not authorized to use this console.
- [10:16] Torley Linden: That's a great sitting pose, Jacek.
- [10:16] Alexa Linden: importing then unless anyone has a comment
- [10:17] Jacek Antonelli: Yup, even has a patch :)
- [10:17] Torley Linden: Who made that pose, Jacek? =)
- [10:17] Torley Linden: It's all criss cross applesauce!
- [10:17] Jacek Antonelli: hehe, I made it ^_^
- [10:17] Alexa Linden: lol
- [10:17] Alexa Linden: the next jira is VWR-2785
- [10:17] Alexa Linden: Some text on the screen becomes garbled for a short duratio
- [10:17] Torley Linden: OHH neat, can I please have it too, Jacek?
- [10:18] Squirrel Wood: Jason Swain gets this text garbling on two different systems
- [10:18] Daedalus Young: oh, huge bmp
- [10:18] Squirrel Wood: desktop and notebook apparently
- [10:18] Torley Linden: *downloads the big BMP*... argh...
- [10:18] Torley Linden: I recommend attaching pictures in JPG or PNG!
- [10:18] Squirrel Wood: broadband ^^
- [10:18] Torley Linden: This bug looks familiar... the glitching...
- [10:18] Torley Linden: I've seen similar things before...
- [10:18] Daedalus Young: I sometimes go through the agenda to see if there's any bmps to convert
- [10:19] Torley Linden: Nice, Daed.
- [10:19] Daedalus Young: I've never seen this, btw
- [10:19] Jacek Antonelli: Hrmmmm. No repro, not even any clue what triggers it.
- [10:19] Alexa Linden: neither have I
- [10:19] Daedalus Young: could be graphic card related
- [10:19] Daedalus Young: hi Benjamin
- [10:19] Torley Linden: replaces the BMP...
- [10:19] Squirrel Wood: it happens like twice in a week to him
- [10:19] Torley Linden: BEN!!!
- [10:20] Jacek Antonelli: heya, Benjamin
- [10:20] Alexa Linden: need repro steps?
- [10:20] Torley Linden: How good to see you!
- [10:20] Alexa Linden: hey Ben :D
- [10:20] Torley Linden: Yeah, Needs More Info.
- [10:20] Alexa Linden: ok - marking as such
- [10:20] Squirrel Wood: might eventually have something to do with graphics ram ?
- [10:20] Torley Linden: Thanks Alexa, I'll resolve the issue right now too...
- [10:20] Alexa Linden: next we have VWR-2803
- [10:20] Benjamin Linden: hi folks!
- [10:20] Squirrel Wood: Hello Benjamin :)
- [10:20] Daedalus Young: the text in the statistics window is fine, it's only the 'SL system font' that is garbled
- [10:21] Benjamin Linden: sorry I'm so late! :-(
- [10:21] Alexa Linden: Lag Meter network ping metric doesn't account for residents outside the USA
- [10:21] Benjamin Linden: an earlier appointment ran over
- [10:21] Alexa Linden: np Ben :)
- [10:21] Wyn Galbraith: Song and dance Benjamin.
- [10:21] Alexa Linden: lol
- [10:21] Benjamin Linden: :-)
- [10:21] Benjamin Linden: welcome back Torley!
- [10:21] Torley Linden: Thanks a lot Ben!
- [10:21] Torley Linden: It's good to be back!
- [10:21] Benjamin Linden: thanks for covering for me guys, don't let me interrupt :-)
- [10:22] Alexa Linden: and Welcome to the neighborhood Torley ;)
- [10:22] Torley Linden: Hehe thanks. :D
- [10:22] Daedalus Young: hm, we talked about this before, thing is, if yu raise the threshold to, say, 200 ms, somebody else goes "but that's normal ping time for me!"
- [10:22] Daedalus Young: or 300 ms
- [10:22] Torley Linden: *reads the comments*
- [10:23] Squirrel Wood: right now and here the ping is 162ms (ctrl-shift-1) for me and I'm in europe... but on a busy sim it tends to go up to 250-280ms
- [10:23] Daedalus Young: only real solution would be to let the lag meter learn what the -average- ping time for any user is and sets is threshold accordingly
- [10:23] Daedalus Young: I'm on 181ms in Europe
- [10:23] Torley Linden: My ping is 93 msec.
- [10:23] Daedalus Young: but 200-250 it is usually
- [10:24] Squirrel Wood: ping times differ depending on how loaded a sim is and where in the world you are apparently. So I would suggest the system monitors the ping client side and determines on its own what a "normal" ping for the user is.
- [10:24] Benjamin Linden: is this using the new lag meter window?
- [10:24] Squirrel Wood: yes
- [10:24] Daedalus Young: yes
- [10:24] Benjamin Linden: ok
- [10:25] Torley Linden: James would know about the technical details behind this...
- [10:25] Jacek Antonelli: New lag meter window?
- [10:25] Daedalus Young: which I currently don't have using Dazzle on the official viewer :P
- [10:25] Benjamin Linden: I haven't had a chance to play with the RC client because until the recent update it was crashing my pc :-(
- [10:25] Torley Linden: That's an intriguign idea to make it more location-based...
- [10:25] Squirrel Wood: I'm on 16mbit/768kbps here and yet I do get the message that the connection is congested and I should turn off not running file sharing software ;)
- [10:25] Benjamin Linden: lol
- [10:25] Benjamin Linden: bad squirrel!
- [10:25] Squirrel Wood: because packet loss can be nasty at times.
- [10:25] Alexa Linden: :P
- [10:25] Daedalus Young: yes Jacek, see lag meter here: [2]
- [10:26] Jacek Antonelli: Thanks, Daedalus
- [10:26] Alexa Linden: Hi Saijanai
- [10:26] Daedalus Young: yw
- [10:26] Daedalus Young: hi Sai
- [10:26] Benjamin Linden: hey Sai
- [10:26] Saijanai Dagger: hey all multitasking so my main is at a private island where it has perms to be
- [10:26] Torley Linden: This is assigned to aric but not imported... I suggest import and ask James about whether making it location-dependent is feasible?
- [10:27] Alexa Linden: noted
- [10:27] Torley Linden: (James did coding work on the Lag Meter.)
- [10:27] Torley Linden: Thanks Alexa. :)
- [10:27] Alexa Linden: next we have VWR-2772
- [10:27] Alexa Linden: The Picks Tab shows a snap of obsolete 6-month old Picks
- [10:28] Torley Linden: looks at Vakis Oranos's profile.
- [10:28] Daedalus Young: hmm, can't say I've ever seen this
- [10:28] Alexa Linden: Emma Linden said this morning that her pic to the admin office had disappeared off her profile
- [10:29] Torley Linden: I had a problem sort of like this years ago... my profile kept going blank. ;)
- [10:29] Torley Linden: Hrmmm.
- [10:29] Torley Linden: searches Issue Tracker for similar issues.
- [10:29] Benjamin Linden: I wonder if it's some sort of database corruption for this particular account
- [10:29] Daedalus Young: then again, I haven't changed my picks in... more than 6 months
- [10:30] Torley Linden: So yeah, along the lines of what Ben said, I have similar questions...
- [10:30] Wyn Galbraith: I lost the original picture of my bear collection out of the profile.
- [10:30] Torley Linden: Like, what happens if he deletes all his picks and leaves them blank for awhile?
- [10:30] Wyn Galbraith: Had to create a new one.
- [10:30] Benjamin Linden: I think this is probably better for the support system
- [10:30] Benjamin Linden: otherwise we would be hearing widespread reports
- [10:30] Daedalus Young: don't think the problem lies in the UI, but in the SVC
- [10:31] Torley Linden: Good point Ben.
- [10:31] Alexa Linden: so do you want me to put in the support link and close?
- [10:31] Torley Linden: Sure Alexa, and you can resolve as "Misfiled".
- [10:31] Benjamin Linden: yes please
- [10:31] Alexa Linden: noted
- [10:32] Alexa Linden: VWR-2830
- [10:32] Torley Linden: I'll leave a comment asking him to try some things in there to narrow down the possibilities now, tho.
- [10:32] Alexa Linden: If you use Search -> Places, and selected one of the hits, it shows a text "[AREA
- [10:32] Alexa Linden: ok - ty Torley
- [10:32] Daedalus Young: this was confirmed and assigned to Aric
- [10:32] Alexa Linden: is it imported as well?
- [10:32] Benjamin Linden: ok
- [10:33] Alexa Linden: or just the pjia assigned
- [10:33] Daedalus Young: it has no LLID
- [10:33] Benjamin Linden: there's no ID
- [10:33] Daedalus Young: apparently jira assigned
- [10:33] Benjamin Linden: we should import it
- [10:33] Alexa Linden: ok - will import and assign to aric
- [10:33] Alexa Linden: VWR-2723
- [10:33] Alexa Linden: Since Rolling Restart Linux Viewer Always Has Offline Screen Although I Can Log-in
- [10:33] Squirrel Wood: Traffic: 66623.Area: [AREA
- [10:34] Squirrel Wood: reprod
- [10:34] Torley Linden: Good idea.
- [10:35] Daedalus Young: hmm, don't know anything about Linux viewer
- [10:35] Object: Hello,: Avatar!
- [10:36] Benjamin Linden: it has a vote
- [10:36] Benjamin Linden: we should go ahead and import it and assign to Aric
- [10:36] Alexa Linden: noted
- [10:36] Benjamin Linden: the QA team can check it out
- [10:36] Jacek Antonelli: I've experienced this
- [10:36] Torley Linden: How odd.
- [10:36] Alexa Linden: next up is VWR-2792
- [10:37] Alexa Linden: Change chat tabs with unread messages to non-blinking
- [10:37] Benjamin Linden: I love this person!
- [10:37] Wyn Galbraith: I've noticed that if I first boot up and my network hasn't finished hooking up to the Internet I get the not connecte start image.
- [10:37] Benjamin Linden: actually we are changing the chat tab behavior
- [10:37] Benjamin Linden: with the next voice update
- [10:37] Torley Linden: Coyote Pace's comment makes sense to me... I know I set my Windows taskbar to only blink a certain # of times with some apps.
- [10:37] Benjamin Linden: the tabs flash three times then stay lit but stop flashing
- [10:38] Saijanai Dagger: sounds good to me
- [10:38] Torley Linden: Domichi sounds like he knows a certain Firefox extension... "The ultra mega cool way I'd like to see is to have it blink a few times, and then turn bright and slowly fade away as the time passes, until it settles on a color which is still different enough from tab with read messages. [ Show »
- [10:38] Benjamin Linden: this was my suggestion, as the flashing tabs drive me batty
- [10:38] Torley Linden: Haha me too Ben.
- [10:38] Wyn Galbraith: Jira's being a bear.
- [10:38] Torley Linden: We shall wrestle the bear, then!
- [10:38] Wyn Galbraith: Short drive?
- [10:38] Wyn Galbraith: waits and waits for it to load.
- [10:39] Alexa Linden: so action on this would be?
- [10:39] Daedalus Young: fixed internally?
- [10:39] Benjamin Linden: yes
- [10:39] Torley Linden: We should import it too so there's an internal record...
- [10:39] Benjamin Linden: and you can mark it 1.19.0
- [10:39] Torley Linden: and link it to the previous internal issue re: "next voice update".
- [10:40] Alexa Linden: ok
- [10:40] Torley Linden: That way if Residents ask, we can point to its history more clearly.
- [10:40] Wyn Galbraith: I'm getting Jira connection errors.
- [10:40] Benjamin Linden: I'm not sure if there was an actual issue for that change
- [10:40] Benjamin Linden: I'll find the general voice UI tasks for you Alexa
- [10:40] Wyn Galbraith: At least sl doesn't make that ringing noise There does.
- [10:40] Alexa Linden: ty
- [10:40] Alexa Linden: next we have...
- [10:40] Alexa Linden: VWR-2556
- [10:40] Torley Linden: Good to know, Ben... even micro-changes should be documented as ya know...
- [10:40] Alexa Linden: Viewer attempts to log in with no password
- [10:41] Torley Linden: Wyn: Any particular pages not working? *tries refreshing various pages*
- [10:41] Alexa Linden: it's all sloooow Torley :(
- [10:41] Daedalus Young: I've had JIRA issues too today, just refresh and it should work
- [10:41] Benjamin Linden: I like this bug
- [10:41] Torley Linden: :\
- [10:41] Daedalus Young: yes, a good one
- [10:41] Benjamin Linden: I mean I think we should fix it :-)
- [10:41] Torley Linden: Why not just gray out the Connect button until appropriate info is added?
- [10:41] Benjamin Linden: agreed torley
- [10:42] Torley Linden: Kinda like how Say and Shout are grayed out... hehe.
- [10:42] Daedalus Young: indeed
- [10:42] Torley Linden: (Upon an empty chat bar.)
- [10:42] Torley Linden: Sounds good to import then?
- [10:42] Benjamin Linden: yep!
- [10:42] Alexa Linden: assign to?
- [10:42] Daedalus Young: and the Load button in profile's web tab ;)
- [10:42] Wyn Galbraith: Getting to the lastest issue is where I'm having problems.
- [10:42] Benjamin Linden: assign to *triage*
- [10:43] Wyn Galbraith: Good idea Torley, greying out the connect till the connection can be made.
- [10:43] Alexa Linden: noted
- [10:43] Alexa Linden: next is VWR-1971
- [10:43] Alexa Linden: Logout in progress from 12 hours
- [10:43] Daedalus Young: hmm, not a UI issue imho and not a VWR issue
- [10:44] Squirrel Wood: still a most inconvenient bug if it happens to you
- [10:44] Daedalus Young: of course!
- [10:44] Squirrel Wood: rebooting the sim it happened in helps
- [10:44] Saijanai Dagger: sounds like a sim bug
- [10:44] Wyn Galbraith: In MUSH we have an @boot you can use on yourself.
- [10:44] Jacek Antonelli: Support issue?
- [10:44] Wyn Galbraith: So if you're in the game with more than one instance, you can @boot the idle ones.
- [10:45] Vixen Heron: i haven't got the same problem but the similar one that shows me online after i logged out of. + i turn off my online status to everyone, they see me online too etc.
- [10:45] Daedalus Young: sim for some reason fails to see user is no longer connected
- [10:45] Benjamin Linden: Torley, is this related to the other bug that blocks people from re-logging in right away?
- [10:45] Saijanai Dagger: btw, if you want a fund bug-hunt tool, get ahold of Qarl's no-perms ant and wear it as an attachment
- [10:46] Wyn Galbraith: runs into this a lot, "It's annoying."
- [10:46] Torley Linden: Benjamin: It sounds similar; this isn't an Rx issue and these account-specific incidents should be directed to support.
- [10:46] Saijanai Dagger: every place where people have random fallthroughs seems to becoem a 100% experience
- [10:46] Jacek Antonelli: Hmmm
- [10:47] Torley Linden: We have had a number of "presence stuck" bugs over time but I don't know of a current widespread one.
- [10:47] Daedalus Young: I filed one on a ghost av on the map too this week
- [10:47] Benjamin Linden: I think we should close this, can't repro
- [10:47] Alexa Linden: noted
- [10:47] Torley Linden: Sounds good, and let them know to contact support if they continue to have this... =)
- [10:47] Benjamin Linden: right
- [10:48] Alexa Linden: VWR-2872 - Clicking on an event link on the map popups a search with the wrong event information
- [10:48] Alexa Linden: I tested this a lot and it's true
- [10:48] Alexa Linden: tried again this weekend
- [10:48] Prad Prathivi: I come across that all the time
- [10:48] Squirrel Wood: marceledward edman - 29/Oct/07 03:55 AM In the 1.18.4.1 release candidate this bug is fixed. Thanks
- [10:49] Torley Linden: Who's on 1.18.4.1 and wants to try reproing it? :)
- [10:49] Alexa Linden: nope
- [10:49] Alexa Linden: just tried it
- [10:49] Benjamin Linden: I'm not on it at the moment
- [10:49] Daedalus Young: I can try it later
- [10:49] Prad Prathivi: Not working here =(
- [10:49] Alexa Linden: takes me to a different event than the star on the map shows
- [10:49] Wyn Galbraith: I am
- [10:49] Daedalus Young: I see in the official viewer, it initially does load the correct one, but then focus on the search results opens another event
- [10:49] Prad Prathivi: <-- On 1,18.4.1
- [10:49] Benjamin Linden: and you're on the RC client, Alexa?
- [10:49] Torley Linden: Thanks...
- [10:49] Alexa Linden: yup
- [10:50] Alexa Linden: tried it at home too
- [10:50] Benjamin Linden: then we should note that and import it
- [10:50] Squirrel Wood: It might be because the event list is populated and the first entry automatically selected ?
- [10:50] Daedalus Young: yes Squirrel
- [10:50] Daedalus Young: that's what I see happening
- [10:50] Prad Prathivi: Yup - what Daedalus just said.. it loads the right link initially, then reverts to the top of the events list
- [10:51] Benjamin Linden: yes, that's right
- [10:51] Benjamin Linden: odd
- [10:51] Alexa Linden: noting at import
- [10:51] Benjamin Linden: let's import and assign to triage
- [10:51] Torley Linden: K, sounds good to import since it's so repro'able then.
- [10:51] Wyn Galbraith: Does bring up the wrong info.
- [10:51] Daedalus Young: I'm on the RC now
- [10:51] Alexa Linden: VWR-2539
- [10:51] Wyn Galbraith: is on RC
- [10:51] Alexa Linden: Can't edit my face
- [10:52] Daedalus Young: it's still borked in the RC
- [10:52] Wyn Galbraith: That could be a good thing.
- [10:52] Alexa Linden: this is such a problem for new residents
- [10:52] Alexa Linden: why do you choose nose
- [10:52] Alexa Linden: then have to pan the camera
- [10:52] Benjamin Linden: Alexa, the bhear task that has the flashing tab change is: DEV-3084
- [10:52] Alexa Linden: then go to eyes and re position it agian
- [10:52] Wyn Galbraith: This is already listed I think.
- [10:52] Torley Linden: Oh dang, I have the avatar-doesn't-turn-around-right bug... arghhhh.
- [10:52] Benjamin Linden: this has been fixed in the RC build
- [10:53] Kooky Jetaime: hahaha Torley
- [10:53] Wyn Galbraith: Yeah that's the one.
- [10:53] Kooky Jetaime: I love that bug
- [10:53] Wyn Galbraith: Is it?
- [10:53] Benjamin Linden: I tried it last night
- [10:53] Prad Prathivi: lol
- [10:53] Wyn Galbraith: Is it really fixed?
- [10:53] Benjamin Linden: unless it's intermittent
- [10:53] Wyn Galbraith: Tries it
- [10:53] Daedalus Young: I noticed in the past when you used the cam to see yourself at the front, then enter Appearance, the avatar would turn away from you
- [10:53] Alexa Linden: WB
- [10:53] Jacek Antonelli: ty ty
- [10:53] Prad Prathivi: It works in mine, but my AO can mess with it sometimes
- [10:53] Benjamin Linden: I'm horrified that bug stuck around as long as it did
- [10:53] Prad Prathivi: So I'm staring at the back of my head
- [10:53] Lily Argus: I just disabled moving while editing appearance...
- [10:53] Torley Linden: Has anyone been able to repro this VWR-2539 independently of the other avatar turn around bug?
- [10:53] Torley Linden: And no, the turn around bug is not fixed.
- [10:54] Lily Argus: I prefer to position my cam myself ...
- [10:54] Torley Linden: I have a new video repro for it.
- [10:54] Benjamin Linden: in RC, Torley?
- [10:54] Wyn Galbraith: It's not fixed
- [10:54] Squirrel Wood: just tried it. I only got to see my neck instead of my nose
- [10:54] Torley Linden: Hm, I'll have to confirm in 1.18.4.1 Ben.
- [10:54] Squirrel Wood: in rc
- [10:54] Saijanai Dagger: some people get a view of the inside of their head
- [10:54] Torley Linden: Oh dang, I can't connect to JIRA right now... :\
- [10:54] Wyn Galbraith: Choose nose get back of the head.
- [10:54] Squirrel Wood: is it reindexing ?
- [10:55] Torley Linden: *checks* I know it reindexed yesterday and on Friday too, Squirrel.
- [10:55] Saijanai Dagger: spent two hours trying to document reindixing as a jira bug sigh
- [10:55] Daedalus Young: no, not reindexing
- [10:55] Squirrel Wood: I saw it reindex twice within half an hour not a week ago
- [10:55] Saijanai Dagger: not all browsers flash the message
- [10:55] Torley Linden: makes a note to try that "turn around" thing in RC
- [10:56] Squirrel Wood: I did try in rc. It is way broken
- [10:56] Benjamin Linden: Squirrel, you're still seeing the bug in RC?
- [10:56] Torley Linden: The other bug I refer to is https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-2030
- [10:56] Squirrel Wood: yes
- [10:56] Torley Linden: OK thanks Squirrel.
- [10:56] Benjamin Linden: darn!
- [10:56] Wyn Galbraith: I think they're related Torley.
- [10:56] Torley Linden: So does anyone here know if VWR-2539 happens independently of VWR-2030?
- [10:56] Saijanai Dagger: reindexing message for me
- [10:56] Torley Linden: I'll link them anyway... with the provision that we can change it later if we have more info. ;)
- [10:56] Torley Linden: Thanks Wyn...
- [10:57] Benjamin Linden: yes I'm getting the reindexing error
- [10:57] Wyn Galbraith: Sure, Torley.
- [10:57] Saijanai Dagger: but for 2 hours I wasn't while Squirrel was
- [10:57] Squirrel Wood: reindex... means that logins are possibly borked too
- [10:57] Wyn Galbraith: Just got the reindexing error.
- [10:57] Torley Linden: "JIRA is currently being reindexed."
- [10:57] Torley Linden: for me too.
- [10:57] Daedalus Young: ah yes, it's reindexing here now too
- [10:57] Kooky Jetaime: hahah
- [10:57] Alexa Linden: :\
- [10:57] Kooky Jetaime: Someone go kick it
- [10:57] Saijanai Dagger: thought it was some new error for jira since 4 different people were getting4 different login-in errors
- [10:57] Kooky Jetaime: and reset the clock so it does this in the early AM
- [10:57] Squirrel Wood: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-2795 - New Land Description Multiline box does not allow Line Return formatting - converts to ?
- [10:58] Vixen Heron: jira down?
- [10:58] Torley Linden: I don't think we can go further since it's reindexing but we're close to the end of the hour.
- [10:58] Squirrel Wood: good thing I have them preloaded in tabs ^^
- [10:58] Saijanai Dagger: was all excited (doing homework for a QA application)
- [10:58] Daedalus Young: description: When using the new multi-line description field in the About Land it initially allows the use of the carriage return to format your text input, but when storing the information it converts the line breaks to a ? character. Hit return twice, get two ??. It would be nice to be able to use the formatting, especially since it appears there is a way to scroll on the search result end as well, though I haven't been able to test that as yet, because the total allowed characters still fits in the resulting box once you find the property in search - All, so no scrolling is necessary or ergo possible.
- [10:58] Benjamin Linden: yes
- [10:58] Benjamin Linden: good stopping point
- [10:58] Prad Prathivi: JIRA's not loading now, here
- [10:58] Vixen Heron: hum,reindex process
- [10:59] Kooky Jetaime: process is 13% completed
- [10:59] Squirrel Wood: the jira thing is horribly broken right now
- [10:59] Kooky Jetaime: er 18%
- [10:59] Squirrel Wood: I tell you, before the day is much older it will have reindexed at least two more times
- [10:59] Alexa Linden: do we want to move VWR-2795 to next week when it works/
- [10:59] Daedalus Young: oof, I crashed myself with that chat, sorry :P
- [10:59] Alexa Linden: since our hour is done?
- [10:59] Saijanai Dagger: like I said, spent 2 hours documenting which error message people were getting, and then suddenly eeryone got the reindexing page
- [11:00] Squirrel Wood: yes. I do have an error message up somewhere....
- [11:00] Benjamin Linden: ok thanks everyone
- [11:00] Kooky Jetaime: 21%
- [11:00] Squirrel Wood: [3] <= that is what I was getting the last time it failed
- [11:00] Wyn Galbraith: Anytime.
- [11:00] Alexa Linden: thank you alll! Pjira permitting..... I'll post everything asap
- [11:00] Kooky Jetaime: wonder if it would move faster if it didn't keep updating the " you can't do this now"
- [11:00] Daedalus Young: 26%
- [11:00] Saijanai Dagger: yeah, I was documenting that error and 2-3 others, Suqirrle
- [11:00] Daedalus Young: ok, thank you too
- [11:00] Prad Prathivi: Don't suppose I can bug you lovely hard working people for Linden bears before you poof..? ;)
- [11:00] Saijanai Dagger: Squirrel
