-- Due to many journalists returning to work after the holiday this week there has been less coverage.
-- In the consumer section there is continued coverage of the growing popularity of social networking sites with the ‘housewife’ generation. This has been a reoccurring theme within the UK media over the last six weeks.
-- The enterprise focus was on improving business by using Second Life.

-- No negative coverage this week.
-- Less coverage as most of the journalists were enjoying their Christmas holidays, but continued blogging.
-- Second Life is being taken more seriously by educators and is reaching a broader audience.
-- Second Life is shown as a place where people can meet and fall in love. Journalists are still interested in the Verbinski news and a Swiss documentary shows how a virtual couple tries to get together in reality.

-- There was more coverage of Second Life competitors this week, including the launch of Muxlim Pal and SMeet.
-- This week news are about artistic events and galleries in real and virtual life.

Key Coverage:

Inworlds – Published an article about the launch of Homesteads on SL. The blogger explains that this way, LL wants to revalorize “Full prims”. Jack Linden is also mentioned about the note he released about the new processes for the transition to those new Sims systems.

Playtime - Posted an article about Home and the censure there is it it. The moderators control any words written on forums or clubs dedicated to gay, lesbians and others. The article says that Home is an imitation of Second Life.

OVERALL OUTLOOK: -- Education and non-profit have received the most focus this week.

-- Jürgen Taeger, a lawyer from German Oldenburg, did an interview for the press agency dpa about crimes in virtual worlds.
