It seems that the opinion of the Wikipedia Community with regards to "Notable Residents" is that it's rather dubious and prone to spam.

In order to encourage a more focussed peer review process, I (SignpostMarv Martin) have copied the section on Residents who achieved fame or notoriety through Second Life to the SL Wiki, the argument being that we (the Residents) are in a better position to gauge whether or not a Resident is "famous" or "notorious" for their Second Life activities.

Since account creation and anonymous editing of the SL Wiki is restricted, contributions to Notable Residents and this talk page can be considered as verified as being made by the Resident whose name is listed in the edit history (whereas linking a wikipedia account with a Second Life accounts is generally unauthenticated and not reliable).

Btw, it should be noted that I originally created the wikipedia article.

Should we even have such a page? --JetZep Zabelin 09:08, 18 November 2007 (PST)
Whether there should be an article on the SL Wiki is one thing, but there is one on the Wikipedia. I'm thinking SL Residents are more qualified to moderate such a list than general wikipedians are- hence why I copied the article over in the first place. However, there are legal issues surrounding GFDL content on a non-GFDL wiki, hence the "legality is teh suxxorz" edit I made.
