Depth of field

  • CameraDoFResScale (Blur Quality) = 0.25
    • Lowered from the default of 0.7 so that there's more of a gradual ramping when you zoom into a subject. Can provide some analogue-feeling "diffuse blur", like smearing Vaseline on the lens.
  • CameraFNumber (F-Number) = 1
    • Adjust per scene: lower it to something like 0.05 if zoomed out and shooting tilt-shift-style cities
  • CameraFieldOfView (Field of View) = 1
  • CameraFocalLength (Focal Length) = 250
    • Lower it even further if zoomed into an avatar's face or object close-up you want to remain tack-sharp.
  • CameraMaxCoF (Circle of Confusion) = 20
  • CameraFocusTransitionTime = Increase this to 1 or even 2 seconds for certain machinima shots.
