An Avatar, in a virtual world, is a personification, or virtual incarnation, of its User. The Avatar is represented graphically within the virtual world or in a profile. The User provides a form of Identity to establish, or to persist, an association to an Avatar. The Avatar controls an Agent in order to interact with the virtual world.
