"Cost/Benefit" Debate?!

I cannot stress enough how infuriating the following comment by Joe Linden is (quoted from the transcript): 

[12:21] 	[Voice Transcript] Joe Linden: we've ha a lot of internal debate around cost/benefit of OS

I'm sorry, but WHAT? Developers have spent hundreds, if not thousands of man-hours developing patches for Linden Lab FOR FREE, and they have the gall to question whether it's cost-effective? If there is truly such a debate going on, Linden Lab no longer deserves Open-Source community assistance. They can pay someone $100USD an hour for patches from now on for all I care. -- Fred Rookstown 17:44, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
