  • Our wiki pages currently have some 2 inches of wasted horizontal space on the left below TOOLBOX, all the way down to the bottom of the page. And now, with the not-particularly useful NavBox on the right we are also constraining the horizontal width of the index and frequently causing line wrapping within it. This really makes no sense.
  • I suggest that something be done about the wasted left-hand column, and if that's too ingrained to fix, then at least remove the NavBox entirely and replace it with an additional menu below TOOLBOX. --Morgaine Dinova 02:30, 10 November 2007 (PST)
Ah, you don't like the default skin. You may like the Nostalgia skin instead, it doesn't have left side dead space. Personally I use a GM script to make the bar float on the left as I scroll the page, it's a slightly modified version of the Wikipedia script. I believe you can change the skin on the skins tab in my preferences. It would be nice to allow the page to add things to the bottom of the left side floater. Personally I like the right side floaters for exactly the reasons you dislike them, they cause the text to wrap. For me this is optimal as it takes up less vertical space. Fits more on the screen. I don't have problems with TOC line wrapping, as my screen is 1280x1024 and i don't make the fonts large. -- Strife Onizuka 04:31, 10 November 2007 (PST)
