[12:59] Jeremy Linden: /me waves.
[12:59] Qie Niangao: greetings Jeremy
[12:59] Qie Niangao has pinged you.
[13:00] Opensource Obscure: V2 does not visual feedback about being busy :
[13:00] Identity Euler: hi ㋡
[13:00] Opensource Obscure: hi jeremy!
[13:00] Opensource Obscure has pinged you.
[13:00] Flenser Juergens: Greetings. I'm safe to be around. Already eaten my lunch.
[13:00] Jeremy Linden: Hullo!
[13:00] Youri Ashton: hey jeremy!
[13:00] Youri Ashton has pinged you.
[13:00] Qie Niangao: I never set busy, just in case somebody accidentally drops their Starax wand on my profile
[13:00] Opensource Obscure: xD
[13:01] Jeremy Linden: Wow, I haven't seen a Starax wand in a long time. Those were the coolest thing!
[13:01] Nathan Adored: what kind of dino are you, Flenser?
[13:02] Flenser Juergens: Cann't even remember what they do.
[13:02] Flenser Juergens: Utahraptor.
[13:02] Youri Ashton: this new project of mine finally starts to take shape, building part is about 50% done now :P
[13:02] Nathan Adored: Ah, figured it was a raptor. heh
[13:02] Jeremy Linden: Youri, I don't want to alarm you, but I think your feet might be on fire.
[13:02] Youri Ashton: lol, i know :p
[13:02] Nathan Adored: :D
[13:02] Youri Ashton: fire kitten av :)
[13:03] Youri Ashton: found it by accident actually
[13:03] Arawn Spitteler: This couch continuse to not be for sail
[13:03] Jeremy Linden: I should hope not, Arawn. It's not to be used as a floatation device.
[13:03] Youri Ashton: for those that want to keep track of my latest work, i been posting pictures: http://www.flickr.com/photos/42984343@N03/sets/72157624090798916/
[13:03] Arawn Spitteler: We don't get to pile the cushions, in case of a Griefer Attack?
[13:04] Youri Ashton: if the project succeeds, Ill be offering it to Lexie Linden for the CT team sim, or if she likes to use it for all volunteers, also very good!
[13:04] Jeremy Linden: Heh. The idea of a cushion fortress is pretty fun.
[13:04] Youri Ashton: its actually partially that indeed jeremy :p
[13:04] Youri Ashton has pinged you.
[13:04] Youri Ashton: its a mix of many things into 1
[13:05] Arawn Spitteler: Actually, a Griefer might like to make a cusioon assault
[13:05] Jeremy Linden: Wow, that building looks pretty detailed. Cool!
[13:05] Youri Ashton: a concept idea
[13:05] Youri Ashton: it is :p
[13:05] Youri Ashton: no sculpties or mega prims
[13:05] Nathan Adored: Yup. How primmy is it tho?
[13:05] Youri Ashton: i just noticed it was 1.000 + prims
[13:05] Jeremy Linden: By the way, Torley says he'll be here soon. He's just got to finish a meeting he's in!
[13:05] Nathan Adored: /me nods nods nods
[13:06] Nathan Adored: and tweeted it too
[13:06] Arawn Spitteler: /me has to leave for a dinner party, if the car shows up
[13:06] Youri Ashton: still long from finished though, needs 4 towers and on the sides also few extentions. besides the obvious missing parts
[13:06] Aargle Zymurgy: oh, nuts.... gotta run already. non-english speaking customer. *sigh*
[13:06] Youri Ashton: think it may be 500 uo tp 1.000 more prims
[13:06] Nathan Adored: aaaaaawwww http://www ....
[13:06] Jeremy Linden: Glad you could make it, Aargle!
[13:06] Arawn Spitteler: How can anyone use twenty five prims, for a castle?
[13:06] Aargle Zymurgy: LOL... well, I'll probably be back
[13:06] Nathan Adored: hopefully
[13:07] Youri Ashton: arawn: using sculpties and no imagination :p
[13:07] Qie Niangao: hmmm... what *is* it with that couch, Arawn, that the mouse cursor changes to L$ when over it... yet it seems to be set to a "Touch" left-click action
[13:07] Arawn Spitteler: It should be set to Sit, but there's no accounting for taste
[13:07] Jeremy Linden: The castle should be set to sit?
[13:08] Jeremy Linden: Oh, the couch.
[13:08] Qie Niangao: sorry, my fault... I was 3 topics behind, as usual
[13:08] Jeremy Linden: Yes, if I could change it, I would.
[13:08] Nathan Adored: /me has this sudden picture of a castle coming up and sitting on someone.
[13:08] Arawn Spitteler: This couch, is click action buy, but claims to be click action touch,
[13:08] Jeremy Linden: Maybe I should replace it soon :-)
[13:08] Youri Ashton: pulls bron's tail :p
[13:09] Youri Ashton: hey dude
[13:09] Arawn Spitteler: /me could build a follower castle, to sit on people
[13:09] Nathan Adored: lol
[13:09] Jeremy Linden: All this furniture came from about an hour of me and Jon shopping at furniture stores 3 years ago :-)
[13:09] Qie Niangao: it's... eclectic
[13:09] Nathan Adored: they're some nice pieces. Kind of a delightfully eclectic mix.
[13:10] Jeremy Linden: Yeah, it wasn't meant to be coordinated. I like the idea of a circle of comfy sofas.
[13:10] Arawn Spitteler: Meta-coordinal ensemble?
[13:11] Jeremy Linden: /me has no idea what that means, but nods.
[13:11] Youri Ashton: hmm... kate was coming today she said yesterday, wonder where she is
[13:11] Youri Ashton: jeremy?
[13:11] Youri Ashton has pinged you.
[13:11] Jeremy Linden: We've all been very busy lately, Kate especially. I haven't heard from her one way or the other whether she's coming this week.
[13:11] Youri Ashton: hey adam
[13:12] Youri Ashton: she said so yesterday during her OH
[13:12] Adamburp Adamczyk: hi youri
[13:12] Jeremy Linden: Ah.
[13:12] Adamburp Adamczyk: sorry if i jsut rezzed on anyone;s head
[13:12] Youri Ashton: she came in little later, but also stayed a lot longer then usually
[13:12] Arawn Spitteler: /me's not anyone, so wouldn't be offended
[13:12] Youri Ashton: we had a pretty interresting convo about the inventory
[13:12] Jeremy Linden: Arawn has spikes to ward off people landing on his head...
[13:12] Flenser Juergens: And here I thought I'd be a little out of the ordinary.
[13:13] Opensource Obscure: Jeremy, I see you're located in Boston - did you already meet Oz? (new Linden who will work on open source stuff)
[13:13] Opensource Obscure has pinged you.
[13:13] Nathan Adored: 0Oh, beleive me, there have been some stranger avs than yours here. :D
[13:13] Flenser Juergens: Wonder what Torley will show up as?
[13:13] Jeremy Linden: I don't think I have, yet! I'll be meeting him tomorrow when I'm in the office, I imagine.
[13:14] Jeremy Linden: /me is working from home today :-D
[13:14] Opensource Obscure: hah! cool
[13:14] Youri Ashton: /me poked kate in IM
[13:14] JC Koronikov: Hello peoples, I have no idea what's goin on here, just found a large group of people who -amazingly- are not being a bunch of jerks so I figured I would hang a bit
[13:14] Nathan Adored:
[13:14] Youri Ashton: seems to be online :p
[13:14] Opensource Obscure: /me starts being a jerk
[13:14] Youri Ashton: prolly busy as usually :)
[13:14] Arawn Spitteler: Prokofy couldn't make it?
[13:14] Jeremy Linden: Hi JC! This is the Linden Lab Documentation Team's office hour. Feel free to hang out and chat with us!
[13:15] JC Koronikov: I'm pretty new to this, but seem to be getting the hang of it pretty quickly
[13:15] Nathan Adored: No one would dare be a jerk around Lindens, and especially not when the office-hours chat is preserved forever on the web after each meetining...
[13:15] Youri Ashton: lol, dont make me start reacting to that open :p
[13:15] Jeremy Linden: Technically, we're supposed to be talking about Second Life's online help, but we're just chatting right now :-)
[13:15] JC Koronikov: does that last name "linden" mean your woking for the SL team or something?
[13:15] Adamburp Adamczyk: the sl help is great, til you get an ontyne :(
[13:15] Nathan Adored: JC: yup
[13:15] Youri Ashton: oh, didnt know you had a topic in mind! sorry :) please do tell next time :p
[13:16] Jeremy Linden: Yep! Anyone with the last name "Linden" is someone who works for Linden Lab, the company that makes Second Life.
[13:16] Arawn Spitteler: Worse, it means they're on the clock.
[13:16] JC Koronikov: that's kinda cool. didn't know that
[13:16] Youri Ashton: Linden as last name means be carefull what you say :p they are Linden Lab personel
[13:16] Nathan Adored: /me wonders if it'd be worth it for someone to create a chair or couch with a big clock in it, so the Lindens could LITERALLY be "on the clock" here. (giggles)
[13:16] Arawn Spitteler: This is documentatio hour, so any new people get an unusual priority on subject matters.
[13:17] Flenser Juergens: Just to throw it out as a comment - I'm seeing much higher figures on my performance monitor in various sims now.
[13:17] Youri Ashton: you could however start wearing a pitchfork, its a weakspot for em :p
[13:17] Arawn Spitteler: If they're name is Linden, they have to be careful how they treat the customers.
[13:17] Youri Ashton: isnt it jeremy :p
[13:17] Youri Ashton has pinged you.
[13:17] Flenser Juergens: Wondering if updates are being done to physics already.
[13:17] Jeremy Linden: Pitchfork?
[13:17] Opensource Obscure: don't mention pitchforks!
[13:18] Qie Niangao: I think Pitchforks are more Jack's department
[13:18] Flenser Juergens: /me chuckles
[13:18] Arawn Spitteler: Ask CG where he got his?
[13:18] Youri Ashton: :p
[13:18] Opensource Obscure: this one is by Brent Linden.
[13:18] Jeremy Linden: This one is by Jeremy Linden :-D
[13:18] Jeremy Linden has pinged you.
[13:18] JC Koronikov: lol, and multiple people just HAPPEN to have pitchforks :)
[13:18] Arawn Spitteler: JC, have you been suitably confused by the instructions, yet?
[13:18] Youri Ashton: lol, send me a copy pls jeremy :p
[13:18] Youri Ashton has pinged you.
[13:19] Opensource Obscure: Flenser; for physics, you should come to Andrew / SImon Linden meetings
[13:19] JC Koronikov: Arawn, Been confused by MANY MANY things in this game
[13:19] Opensource Obscure: or Preview Grid meeting, with Falcon
[13:19] Nathan Adored: Pitchforks come with directions now? Oo
[13:19] Youri Ashton: thanks jeremy :)
[13:19] Youri Ashton has pinged you.
[13:19] Jeremy Linden: JC, what sorts of things have confused you? Have you had any trouble finding answers?
[13:20] JC Koronikov: Honestly, nothing important. And I always seem to find someone sooner or later that knows more than me to ask.
[13:20] JC Koronikov: I rarely find large groups of people being cool tho, and that's really what I was looking for in this
[13:21] Arawn Spitteler: Search for events, of whatever your interest is
[13:21] Adamburp Adamczyk: y'know the BEST thign about a group gathering in sl?
[13:21] JC Koronikov: I like going to the NCI classes, just because peopel are usually chatty and I learn stuff
[13:21] Adamburp Adamczyk: shouts: onigokko
[13:21] Adamburp Adamczyk: worth a try :)
[13:21] Jeremy Linden: NCI is great. When I was new, long before I was a Linden, I used to go to their show & tell events.
[13:21] Opensource Obscure: I also suggest reading blogs / social networks - there you may find people with similar tastes writing about SL places
[13:21] Aargle Zymurgy: phew! he was spanish. I can sorta do spanish. have I missed anything?
[13:22] Qie Niangao: in general, show&tell events tend to be fun
[13:22] Nathan Adored: not especially
[13:22] Jeremy Linden: Not much, Aargle.
[13:22] JC Koronikov: And the races are pretty fun, Midian city is a nice place to hang out and meet some people, but I usually get a whisper about beein OOC, but as I've only been there 3 or 4 times I am really not getting the roleplay.
[13:22] Aargle Zymurgy: hm... show and tell in SL... that could have interesting results. :-)
[13:22] JC Koronikov: lol
[13:22] Flenser Juergens: Indeed.
[13:22] Jeremy Linden: Haha. Aargle, the kind I went to were more of the "look what I built" variety.
[13:23] Aargle Zymurgy: ah,ok... I just was thinking maybe how they might have done it on Zindra
[13:23] Qie Niangao: that's the you-show-me-yours-and-I-won't-tell show
[13:23] Aargle Zymurgy: LOL@Qie... yeah, for sure
[13:24] Jeremy Linden: JC, have you discovered the Second Life wiki yet? http://wiki.secondlife.com
[13:24] Arawn Spitteler: /me hasn't seen a lot of adult material on Zindra, but hasn't been bothering with events.
[13:24] Youri Ashton: working ona British styled "tower castle", texturing and details only left
[13:24] JC Koronikov: actually no, will bookmark that
[13:24] Youri Ashton: and im asked to create a maze for Hellen Keller Day 2010
[13:24] Youri Ashton: sooo... starting that soon asw ell
[13:25] Youri Ashton: as well*
[13:25] JC Koronikov: I've found a few mazes in SL, couple have been pretty fun
[13:25] Qie Niangao: anybody else hearing physics "bouncing" ?
[13:25] Jeremy Linden: Another new feature we introduced with the latest Viewer (the client software) was context-sensitive help. Try clicking the "?" buttons you see on any of the windows for more info about what that window is for.
[13:25] Arawn Spitteler: Maze, where every spot looks the same, and the phonic queues all say to turn left
[13:25] Youri Ashton: the one i have to create is different from the ones you seen jeremy ;)
[13:25] Youri Ashton has pinged you.
[13:25] Aargle Zymurgy: one of my favorite things I've made, but not sold, are a couple "Escape the Room" games
[13:25] Qie Niangao: (never mind, now I don't hear it)
[13:26] Youri Ashton: i have to keep in mind wheelchair users and even blind residents
[13:26] Aargle Zymurgy: not quite a maze, but definitely gotta puzzle over it.
[13:26] Youri Ashton: so, it is scripted
[13:26] Jeremy Linden: I had a friend who was working on something similar to the rooms from the movie "Cube".
[13:26] Aargle Zymurgy: I tried a maze where there were black spots on the wall and it's built like a cube
[13:26] JC Koronikov: That would be pretty cool
[13:26] Youri Ashton: Not sure yet if ill be releasing it for free though
[13:26] Aargle Zymurgy: the portals randomly open and you have to hop through in time
[13:27] Aargle Zymurgy: never quite finished that, though
[13:27] Jeremy Linden: Uh oh... Looks like Torley is experiencing a power outage. He might not make it.
[13:27] Youri Ashton: lol
[13:27] Jeremy Linden: Kate says she'll be here, though. She's finishing up a set of documentation for a new feature :-)
[13:27] Nathan Adored: oh, darn
[13:27] Youri Ashton: isnt the first time jeremy :p
[13:27] Youri Ashton has pinged you.
[13:27] Youri Ashton: the poor guy has them often
[13:27] Arawn Spitteler: Power Outrage? Is he working from home?
[13:28] Jeremy Linden: Yep!
[13:28] Arawn Spitteler: He should rig up some batteries
[13:28] Youri Ashton: hey, he is the smart one! at least his wife can bring him coffee and something to eat, and for that matter he doesnt ahve to drive home for dinner!
[13:28] Flenser Juergens: I see we have heavy overcast outside. Storms probably coming in from the plains.
[13:28] Nathan Adored:
[13:28] Youri Ashton: torley!
[13:28] JC Koronikov: I keep my entire network hardware on a 2hour battery. obviously my computer dies tho, so I just hop on my laptop tho.
[13:28] Jeremy Linden: I stand corrected!
[13:28] Youri Ashton: nice seeing you again m8!
[13:29] Torley Linden: Ahhh I had a power outage but I'm here, thanks for holding the fort, Jeremy!
[13:29] Torley Linden has pinged you.
[13:29] Youri Ashton: we just were talkinga bout you!
[13:29] Torley Linden: Hi hi everyone!
[13:29] Aargle Zymurgy: hey, Torley
[13:29] Youri Ashton: great avi again torley!
[13:29] Flenser Juergens: Welcome.
[13:29] Jeremy Linden: Heya Torley, glad you could make it!
[13:29] Torley Linden: Hehe thanks Youri...
[13:29] Arawn Spitteler: If Torley twitters his arrival, this place gets crowded
[13:29] Torley Linden: =)
[13:29] Youri Ashton: welcome!
[13:29] Aargle Zymurgy: wow.... is that Gallagher meets Cthulu?
[13:29] Youri Ashton: hey torley, you like to see great new things wasnt it?
[13:29] JC Koronikov: lmao
[13:30] Torley Linden: Gallagher is my sworn foe!
[13:30] Torley Linden: One of them, anyway.
[13:30] JC Koronikov: I was trying to think of a way to describe that outfit, but you nailed it
[13:30] Aargle Zymurgy: ah, yes... too much watermelon bashing
[13:30] Torley Linden: Yeah I love seeing cool stuff of all sorts, including in SL, what's up, Youri?
[13:30] Youri Ashton: take a look at my latest project, if all succesful ill be offering it to Lexie Linden for the CT translation team and for any volunteer group for that matter
[13:30] Youri Ashton: http://www.flickr.com/photos/42984343@N03/sets/72157624090798916/
[13:30] Youri Ashton: last pic is from about 1 hour ago
[13:31] Torley Linden: I like seeing the beginning of something in plywood...
[13:31] Youri Ashton: lol
[13:31] Youri Ashton: well, yeah, didnt bother texturing yet untill its finished
[13:31] JC Koronikov: that looks pretty cool youri
[13:31] Youri Ashton: tnx JC
[13:32] Youri Ashton: its huge as well
[13:32] Youri Ashton: so far 40x120 meters
[13:32] Youri Ashton: about 30m tall so far
[13:32] JC Koronikov: kinda roman/egyptian style imo
[13:32] Youri Ashton: well.. all kinds of things in 1 actually
[13:32] JC Koronikov: ya
[13:32] Youri Ashton: keep track of that page :p
[13:32] Youri Ashton: ill be posting a lot more pics :)
[13:33] Torley Linden: As you continue progress, Youri? That's cool.
[13:33] Youri Ashton: if all goes well ill be posting another one end of today
[13:33] JC Koronikov: And here I am... my biggest creation is trying to make my toon look like I do in RL
[13:33] Youri Ashton: worked about 8 - 10 hours on it so far
[13:33] JC Koronikov: I feel shamed.
[13:33] JC Koronikov: lol
[13:33] Youri Ashton: wb open
[13:33] Aargle Zymurgy: MY biggest project is making my RL avatar look like my SL one. Sadly, male pattern baldness is getting in the way
[13:34] Nathan Adored:
[13:34] Torley Linden: I'd talk more about what I'm working on but it's mostly under wraps right now. But, I'm always open for video tutorial suggestions and there's going to be another round of "quicktips" by the end of the month. So if there are any burning topics, let me know!
[13:34] Nathan Adored: I WISH I could make my RL av be like my SL av..... :D
[13:34] Youri Ashton: as some of you know, people with asperger syndrome like details a lot. and yes I have asperger :p
[13:35] Youri Ashton: nice new vids btw torley, didnt see em all yet, but noticed them yesterday
[13:35] Arawn Spitteler: /me's looking to start a meatside church, praying for the healling of Audists.
[13:35] Aargle Zymurgy: well, I did manage to shed 40 pounds. trying to look good for slcc this y ear
[13:35] Bronson Blackadder: its really hard for me to type, me being a cat and all
[13:36] Torley Linden: Thanks Youri, I announce them both on the blogs and they show up if you subscribe to http://youtube.com/secondlife ... whatever works best for you.
[13:36] Youri Ashton: just purr bron, that also works :)
[13:36] Bronson Blackadder: lol
[13:36] Arawn Spitteler: /me's an ancient Sumerian God, and has whole temples to help with the typing, but ffew can read Cuneiform
[13:36] Torley Linden: Kaaaaaaaaate!
[13:36] Jeremy Linden: Hey Kate!
[13:36] Youri Ashton: i hardly read the blogs torley, keep forgetting about it :p
[13:36] Kate Linden: Hi !
[13:36] Youri Ashton: kate!!!!!
[13:36] Qie Niangao: greetings, Kaye
[13:36] Aargle Zymurgy: hey Kate!
[13:36] Qie Niangao: * Kate.
[13:36] Kate Linden: Hello everyone! My apologies for being late. I had docs to finish :)
[13:36] Torley Linden: BTW, is anyone able to see the video on the screen back here? It used to work for me but now it's just... gray.
[13:37] Torley Linden: I wonder if it's a Shared Media bug or something else!
[13:37] Youri Ashton: no problems kate, we know your busy :p
[13:37] Nathan Adored: <--- still on the Emerald viewer...
[13:37] Bronson Blackadder: its grey to me
[13:37] Youri Ashton: just very happy you also could join us!
[13:37] JC Koronikov: what screen?
[13:37] Torley Linden: It's Doc Team doing our take on Hawaii 5-O, in case you're curious...
[13:37] Jeremy Linden: There's an easel with a big screen behind Torley.
[13:37] JC Koronikov: it says "come chat with us" to me
[13:37] Youri Ashton: sounds very interresting torley!
[13:37] Torley Linden: OK, for you JC, Shared Media is off.
[13:37] Kate Linden: oh gosh Torley, I was just hunting for the video!
[13:37] JC Koronikov: oh
[13:37] Jeremy Linden: It looks like it's trying to load something, but it looks gray to me.
[13:37] Torley Linden: Haha Kate yeah the link is magically here. =)
[13:38] Bronson Blackadder: oh crap
[13:38] Bronson Blackadder: had to press play
[13:38] Bronson Blackadder: it works now
[13:38] Nathan Adored: /me smiles.
[13:38] Torley Linden: I haven't changed the link in weeks and it was playing in an earlier Viewer 2 build so something may be up...
[13:38] JC Koronikov: sorry for being a noob, but how do I turn shared media on?
[13:38] Bronson Blackadder: I mean... oh meow I had to press play
[13:38] JC Koronikov: I had it on before I upgraded tot he new viewer
[13:38] Torley Linden: no prob JC, see the Play button near the upper right of your screen?
[13:38] Arawn Spitteler: Are you on Viewer 2?
[13:38] Qie Niangao: oh, there it goes for me... I had to press reload on the shared media control on the prim
[13:38] JC Koronikov: Emerald
[13:38] Youri Ashton: think it is disabled for him at the moment torley
[13:39] Kate Linden: it's gray for me
[13:39] Torley Linden: Hmmm... odd, pressing Reload shows me a white flash and then reverts to gray...
[13:39] Torley Linden: I don't think Emerald is based on Viewer 2 yet, anyone know for sure?
[13:39] Nathan Adored: Yeah, Emerald doesn't support the SL2.0 stuff yet, unless you're on one of the alpha versions..... and those aren't complete yet either
[13:39] Torley Linden: Nathan, psychic! Thanks.
[13:39] Youri Ashton: JC, press "CTRL + P"
[13:39] Torley Linden: In any case I can replace this with a working vid... no worries... just had to know it wasn't just me because I've heard similar complaints.
[13:39] Flenser Juergens: Nothing playing, think it's timed out for me already.
[13:39] Torley Linden: Looks like Viewer 2 has some odd bugs with non-Flash videos.
[13:40] Youri Ashton: under sound & media you find the media buttons you need to enable
[13:40] Nathan Adored: They are in the process of a new, SL2.0-aware Emerald based on the the Snowglobe sources, IIRC
[13:40] Nathan Adored: process of making a new*
[13:40] JC Koronikov: oh, someone told me emerald is "the best" and kept going on about it... so I tried it
[13:40] Torley Linden: OK, replacing video with one that should work...
[13:40] Bronson Blackadder: emerald has nothing I need to use
[13:41] JC Koronikov: but if I am losing functionality... I'll switch back
[13:41] Bronson Blackadder: ok I see video playing
[13:41] Jeremy Linden: Hah! It's working now, Torley.
[13:41] Bronson Blackadder: boat on teh water
[13:41] Bronson Blackadder: thats badass
[13:41] Torley Linden: Yeah, this is odd, MP4 fails but Flash works. Thanks for the reports...
[13:41] Youri Ashton: yeah, i saw that one :p
[13:41] Flenser Juergens: Emerald is good for building with. Also helps if you need to monitor people and stuff.
[13:41] Youri Ashton: doc team having fun :p
[13:41] Kate Linden: That was such a fun outing
[13:41] Torley Linden: It sure was Kate, we practiced so dilligently.
[13:42] Bronson Blackadder: I dont feel a need to monitor people
[13:42] Kate Linden: lol yeah
[13:42] Youri Ashton: i wonder btw how mr jello is keeping whole with all that water!
[13:42] Bronson Blackadder: not a control freak here
[13:42] Torley Linden: We knew the route so well, that's why we have such awesome steering.
[13:42] Aargle Zymurgy: I find some of the scriptings features in Emerald to be invaluable anymore
[13:42] Qie Niangao: well, this version is just black for me, but I'm on Linux
[13:42] Jeremy Linden: With water skis, of course!
[13:42] Nathan Adored: Me, I just have gotten dependant on having its built in radar, its double-click teleports, and stuff
[13:42] Youri Ashton: water + jello = bad combo :p
[13:42] Arawn Spitteler: You only need to use Emerald's Monitoring Feature, when you're copying stuff you shouldn't
[13:42] Kate Linden: Jon has such a great laugh.
[13:42] Torley Linden: I think there's a bug where MP4 (and related formats that were supported under parcel media) work with auto-play but not under other conditions... very odd... I'll have to investigate and file a bug if there hasn't been one reported...
[13:42] JC Koronikov: I usually run linux, but atm I'm in windows, gf plays some windows games.
[13:42] Youri Ashton: oh yeah, kate. did you poke jon for me?
[13:43] Kate Linden: He's working on docs Youri.
[13:43] Youri Ashton: as i said yesterday, this fake jon starts to get old and smelly :p
[13:43] Flenser Juergens: Oh, mp4 is always a littel twicthy working with different players.
[13:43] Torley Linden: The puzzling thing is I do recall it working as expected in an earlier Viewer 2 build, Flenser. Something has changed since then, apparently.
[13:43] Youri Ashton: he needs to come join us again, think we all miss him here at this OH :)
[13:44] Torley Linden: Have you guys seen the sculptie fish bones?
[13:44] Torley Linden: What Youri said made me think of those...
[13:44] Youri Ashton: not that i know of torley
[13:44] Torley Linden: Now THIS is a bone! http://www.flickr.com/photos/torley/4605801892/
[13:44] Flenser Juergens: Nope. Not seen them.
[13:44] Torley Linden: The size of half a basketball court!
[13:44] Youri Ashton: oh those! :p
[13:44] Youri Ashton: i seen em in small only
[13:44] Qie Niangao: oh, hmmm... tricked it into playing now after re-enabling plug-ins and toggling the source off and on in Media Controls
[13:44] Torley Linden: (OK, I exaggerate somewhat, perspective tricks in action...)
[13:45] Torley Linden: I wonder why all that is needed to make a difference, Qie.
[13:45] Youri Ashton: hey liam! welcome!
[13:45] Qie Niangao: oh, cuz it's Ubuntu... Flash is teh evol to Linux
[13:45] Nathan Adored: A whole basketball court?!?? :D Izzdat, like dogzilla's bone or something? :D :D :D
[13:45] Kate Linden: Hello Liam
[13:45] Torley Linden: Nathan, haha, it's like... "I'd hate to see what was chomping on that..." and then a giant foot crashes down.
[13:46] Liam Petras: hello
[13:46] Torley Linden: Heya Liam, how did ya find us? =)
[13:46] Nathan Adored: Oh,it's a fishbone..... heh, not what a doggy should be eating.
[13:46] Torley Linden: It looks like you're new to Second Life? If so, welcome!
[13:46] Liam Petras: im new, so i just randomly click and teleport heh
[13:47] Liam Petras: heh thanks
[13:47] Arawn Spitteler: New people should try going to Tuliptree, and walking along the tracks.
[13:47] Flenser Juergens: Nice. We should have more adventurous new people like you.
[13:47] Nathan Adored:
[13:47] Arawn Spitteler: Riding a train works also
[13:47] Torley Linden: Good place to randomly end up at, you're at Documentation Team's office hours... we chat about help we write and if you have questions along those lines, please do ask!
[13:47] Aargle Zymurgy: brb... trying to finish a preset.
[13:47] Aargle Zymurgy: *present
[13:47] Youri Ashton: welcome to SL Liam! great to have you with us!
[13:47] Liam Petras: im just looking for some free stuff, and maybe even some sort of in game job
[13:47] Kate Linden: Welcome to Second Life, Liam. You've landed at Doc Team's office hour. We meet each week right here to chat with Residents in Second Life about Documentation and other fun random topics....Torley you always type faster than I do.
[13:48] Kate Linden: lol
[13:48] Torley Linden: Your description is more evocative, Kate.
[13:48] Torley Linden: I <3 "fun random topics"
[13:48] Nathan Adored: Yup, every Wednesday 1 to 2pm SL time
[13:48] Youri Ashton: lets give Liam a bear :) free and fun to have!
[13:48] Liam Petras: I love bears!
[13:48] Flenser Juergens: And you'll see some of the bizarreist av here too.
[13:48] Torley Linden: Yah Liam so if you're using the help (for example, click ? on just about any window) and notice an error or room for improvement or other observation, let us know!
[13:49] Youri Ashton: there ya go Liam!
[13:49] Youri Ashton: enjoy!
[13:49] Torley Linden: Flenser, speaking from example I see! ;)
[13:49] JC Koronikov: I am in the 2.0, in windows, and the video is working for me now
[13:49] Flenser Juergens: I flet like this for some reason.
[13:49] Liam Petras: thank you very much! you guys are alot nicer than the people at the hick town heh
[13:49] Youri Ashton: it is boxed, but think you will enjoy it :)
[13:49] Torley Linden: Thanks JC! Appreciate you testing.
[13:49] Flenser Juergens: I knew I'd get chased out if I appeared as a seawolf dragon.
[13:49] Torley Linden: Whoa, I wonder what hick town that was, Liam? Do you remember the name?
[13:50] Youri Ashton: yeah, sorry for the residents that try to mess everything up for others
[13:50] Torley Linden: Sea Linden, incidentally, isn't a Seawolf brand dragon... but she's a nautical dragon of sorts.
[13:50] Liam Petras: hmmm, is there a way to check where ive been>
[13:50] Youri Ashton: a lot of nice people in here, but unfortunately also some people that think having fun by making others feel bad are in here as well :(
[13:50] JC Koronikov: not a problem torley, I'm one of those techie-junkies who will buy 5 different brands of batteries and test them all.
[13:51] Nathan Adored: teleport history
[13:51] Kate Linden: Liam, yes. Click the tab on your sidebar with the globe on it then click the teleport history tab.
[13:51] Arawn Spitteler: Best way to deal with a griefer, is to share the humor
[13:51] JC Koronikov: switching viewers changed my clothes
[13:51] Youri Ashton: most likely a CG Torley
[13:51] Liam Petras: nashville suare
[13:51] Youri Ashton: the same idiots keep hanging out there
[13:51] Liam Petras: square, sorry
[13:51] Youri Ashton: oh okay, other place then :)
[13:52] Arawn Spitteler: Has anyone seen Prospero Linden, since Nashville got flooded?
[13:52] Liam Petras: im trying to find an urban hub, could you guys help me?
[13:52] Youri Ashton: im not really traveling in SL much, so i can personally not help out, any of you?
[13:53] Arawn Spitteler: /me wonders if Siden would do: What sort of Urban Hub?
[13:53] Youri Ashton: think a place to talk and find new friends :)
[13:53] Liam Petras: stores, people, ya youri, lol
[13:53] Kate Linden: Liam, a list of our infohubs is included in our Knowledge Base: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Infohub
[13:53] Flenser Juergens: THere's all the Caledon sims.
[13:53] Torley Linden: JC, I can totally relate to you there. I'm always curious to compare.
[13:54] Qie Niangao: oops... off to RL... have fun everybody
[13:54] Youri Ashton: have fun Qie
[13:54] Torley Linden: Liam, also, if you click the Globe icon on your sidebar (Places), you can click the TELEPORT HISTORY tab to see where you were last.
[13:54] Kate Linden: Thank you for joining Doc Team today Qie
[13:54] JC Koronikov: I was a beta tester for AMD back in 94-96, talk about fun
[13:54] Liam Petras: well, thank you all, but this is a large world, i have alot to see
[13:54] Torley Linden: It's like the site history in your web browser.
[13:55] Kate Linden: Liam, if you right click the box you are wearing
[13:55] Kate Linden: and select detach, it will go back to your inventory.
[13:55] Nathan Adored: Liam: Very.
[13:55] Youri Ashton: even the people in SL longer have long from seen everything Liam :)
[13:55] Torley Linden: JC, how was it? Wasn't that around the time there were other chip manufacturer vying to be Intel alternatives, like Cyrix?
[13:55] Youri Ashton: takes a very long time to see everything :)
[13:55] Arawn Spitteler: And, be sure to come next week, so we can find our how you're doing.
[13:55] JC Koronikov: ya, at the time there was only amd and intel making actual computer level chips.
[13:55] Youri Ashton: i wish you a great time visiting all those wonderfull places Liam!
[13:55] Liam Petras: ill try
[13:56] Liam Petras: thank you. and have a nice day :)
[13:56] Flenser Juergens: Pick a direction on mainland and travel along that line - you'll see all sorts of interesting places.
[13:56] Youri Ashton: have a great day Liam!
[13:56] Kate Linden: Nice meeting you Liam. Have fun!
[13:56] Time Minder: You have been online for 1 hours.
[13:56] JC Koronikov: I dunno if it's still around anymore... I really hope so but I haven't found it forever. But I have a amd 486-200 chip here somewhere... It was my pride and joy back then.
[13:56] Youri Ashton: /me pokes Jeremy
[13:56] Youri Ashton has pinged you.
[13:56] Torley Linden: Happy travels, Liam!
[13:56] JC Koronikov: It wasn't even released to the public
[13:56] Jeremy Linden: Eh
[13:56] Youri Ashton: kinda silent again :p
[13:56] Youri Ashton: dont sleep on the job m8 :p
[13:56] Jeremy Linden: Lots of good stuff flying by!
[13:56] Nathan Adored: /me smiles.
[13:57] Flenser Juergens: My first travels outside of just a couple sims was to attend meetings and public presentations by Lindens.
[13:57] Arawn Spitteler: 486? Would that carry SL?
[13:57] Torley Linden: It's fun to see prototypes like that, JC... occasionally on Ebay I'll spot some like that. In the midst of iPad frenzy I know some people have put up Newton MessagePad prototypes.
[13:57] Torley Linden: Arawn, haha, I saw a demo of SL "running" on an Apple 2. ;)
[13:57] JC Koronikov: they scrapped the whole thing when intel made the pentium 133, because it SMOKED their 486-200, and the p133 took like 15% of the power
[13:57] Kate Linden: Wow, that's nearly 5 years ago Flenser. Who's office hour did you attend in the early days?
[13:57] Arawn Spitteler: 487 was the math processor, and those got integrated with Pentium.
[13:57] Youri Ashton: if you strip it down it most sertenly wont
[13:57] Torley Linden: http://youtube.com/watch?v=vAZHJa91JHk
[13:58] JC Koronikov: when they scrapped it tho, I had a box I was beta testing, so they called me and said "just keep it"
[13:58] Flenser Juergens: I spend a bit of time with Pathfinder.
[13:58] JC Koronikov: one of like 200 made
[13:58] Torley Linden: While we're on the techy front, anyone else here looking forward to Tron Legacy?
[13:58] Kate Linden: I <3 Pathfinder
[13:58] Flenser Juergens: And I attended a meeting at Waterhead with Phil.
[13:58] Youri Ashton: first meeting for me was Doc team, accidentaly flew in and thought "hey, Lindens! interresting!"
[13:58] Arawn Spitteler: Philip Linden?
[13:58] Youri Ashton: too bad pathfinder is gone :(
[13:58] Flenser Juergens: Yep
[13:58] Torley Linden: Pathfinder was tremendously encouraging when I was a n00b. I helped him found the Linden Village.
[13:59] Kate Linden: You must have some great SL stories, photos and old inventory classics Flenser.
[13:59] Youri Ashton: Phillip is still on SL some times arawn :p
[13:59] Flenser Juergens: Not a lot, sadly.
[13:59] Arawn Spitteler: Does he enter as an alt?
[13:59] Youri Ashton: he has a new project, cant blaim him. but yeah, also I wish to have him back with us!
[13:59] JC Koronikov: Youri, That's what I started thinking once someone explained what a Linden was :)
[14:00] Arawn Spitteler: Lindens can always open new accounts, when they want to go incognito
[14:00] Youri Ashton: he was indeed a great guy torley!
[14:00] Youri Ashton: I know he changed his Linden avi's last name, since I have him in my friends list
[14:00] Youri Ashton: and no, i wont tell
[14:00] Youri Ashton: privacy n all
[14:00] Arawn Spitteler: If you want to be a successful linden, don't be a great guy.
[14:01] Jeremy Linden: Oh crap I'm doing it wrong!
[14:01] Bronson Blackadder: well so much for my hopes and dreams
[14:01] Bronson Blackadder: lol
[14:01] Youri Ashton: the last year I havnt seen much of you inworld jeremy, think you actually do too little even :p
[14:01] Youri Ashton has pinged you.
[14:01] Youri Ashton: in world that is...
[14:01] Kate Linden: Arawn, the people I work with are truly amazing.
[14:02] Jeremy Linden: Eh? I'm always here for office hours. I don't usually venture out much as my Linden self otherwise :-)
[14:02] Nathan Adored: Yeah, looks like it'll be great
[14:02] Arawn Spitteler: But we always say the nicest things about the ones who get fired.
[14:02] Youri Ashton: i meant your mostly the quiet one :p
[14:02] Torley Linden: Some Lindens find it simply easier to explore on their alts... myself included...
[14:02] Youri Ashton: specially when kate and torley are around in OH :p
[14:02] Jeremy Linden: Heh. I'm quiet, but I watch and listen. And record!
