Dizzy Banjo / Robert Thomas is a composer who creates pioneering interactive music projects. His virtual worlds related work includes creating the music for the first soundtrack to a virtual location commissioned by the Mexican Tourist board, Costa Rica Tourist boards Cocos Island project, the pioneering SL-voice music generation 'Parsec' project, Dynafleur and IO:Redux commissioned by Princeton University. His media music clients include Revlon, Czech National Radio, Nintendo/Curve Studios and HRH Queen of England / Jersey Heritage Trust. In 2009 he became CCO at RjDj, a revolutionary iPhone app, overseeing production and user experience design, producing interactive music with Hans Zimmer, AIR, Carl Craig, Little Boots, Bookashade, Jimmy Edgar, Chiddy Bang, Fabrice Lig, Kirsty Hawkshaw, Acid Pauli / Console, and Kids on DSP. These projects include Inception the App, which was over 3 million times in its first month of release. His work has been featured in many media outlets including WIRED, Reuters, Bloomberg, MTV, The Guardian, NME, and MIT Press. He regularly gives talks and demos about interactive music design at universities including Berklee College of Music, Full Sail University and MIT Media Lab.
