About Me

I am a content creator. This was something I wanted to do ever since I first came to Second Life. I have learned a lot during my time here. This has made me an up and coming designer on Second Life but is also starting to eat away at my time here. It is hard work trying to make this platform a better looking and more interesting place to visit.

My Skillset

  • Builder(Primary Skill): I love to build. I have a lot of practice at it. Skyboxes, houses, furniture, prim attachments, etc. I will do it. I also do some work with sculpted prims. All my furniture will contain at least a few sculpted prims(unless custom built for a client who doesn't want them).
  • Texturer: I am a Paint.NET user. Paint.NET is the program I use to make building textures. I am also starting to learn how to make clothing, particle, and other textures with it. The upside of this program is how intuitive the interface is. The only downside is that there is far less documentation for using it in conjunction with Second Life than there is with Photoshop or GIMP.
  • Animator: I make animations in QAvimator. I primarily use these in poseballs.
  • Scripter: Most of my scripts are decorative, such as Particle displays or Texture Animations. Don't ask me to script a Death Star or other superweapon for you. I'm not that versed in LSL at this time.
  • Photographic Model: I don't look like most of the other female avatars on the grid. I'm considered rather exotic looking. I estimate that several hundred passers by have snapshotted me on a whim. In addition to this, I have been photographed by such publications and people as The Second Life Herald and Solange Cerveau. I usually don't charge any money for clothing shoots or shoots in publications that will gain me more publicity. Just let me keep a copy of what I am modeling and any pictures you take of me.
  • Inworld Photographer: I have also spent a lot of time taking pictures, as well. I have a flickr account where I keep a lot of my work. I also own the Second Life To Comix group on flickr so feel free to join it if you have an account there.

Contacting Me

The best way to do this for business purposes is to send me a Notecard inworld describing what sort of custom work you would like done in as much detail as possible. Alternatively, you can simply email me at ms_haifeng_chu@yahoo.com.
