- [15:03] Homeless: I uninstalled my old mesh project viewer and my old beta viewer and that reset my vwr 3 AND vwr 1.23 back to noob mode... all settings wiped out
- [15:03] Homeless: that was a pain
- [15:03] Oskar Linden: I'm in the latest beta
- [15:03] Oskar Linden: with the new UI
- [15:03] Kallista Destiny: Oh dear
- [15:03] Oskar Linden: and at first I was like WTF?!
- [15:03] arton Rotaru: the last weeks is only waiting untill some buges get fixed. can't list anything new to the marketplace untill then
- [15:04] Oskar Linden: and then I was like oh hey I kinda like this
- [15:04] Rex Cronon: helo everybody
- [15:04] arton Rotaru: bugs*
- [15:04] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: Runitai merged the new UI into his OpenGL 3 build.
- [15:04] RedMokum Bravin: It's nice how you can drag those buttons almost anywhere.
- [15:04] WolfPup Lowenhar: my viewr is fairly new as it was built localy over night
- [15:04] Oskar Linden: yeah that's kinda coo
- [15:04] Oskar Linden: l
- [15:04] Rex Cronon: AFK...............................
- [15:04] Rex Cronon: afk
- [15:04] Coyot LindenCoyot Linden uses ncurses as his viewer
- [15:04] Oskar Linden: alright. here is the agenda
- [15:04] Oskar Linden: https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Server_Beta_User_Group
- [15:05] Talia MalaspinaTalia Malaspina curses AT her viewer.
- [15:05] Latif Khalifa: it's an improvement over stock v2 for sure. couple of more revisions and it will be as usable as v1 :P
- [15:05] Kallista Destiny: I tried the 3.1.1 with the OGL fixes, that reminded me why I disliked V2/3
- [15:05] Kallista Destiny: the OGl fixes howere rock
- [15:05] WolfPup Lowenhar: multi inv and profiles open are back that is for shure
- [15:05] Oskar Linden: as of about an hour ago we finished updating the kernel for every machine we own
- [15:05] Oskar Linden: monumental task
- [15:05] Ima Mechanique: coyote, trying to display mine on old computer after seeing the Apple IIc demo on youTube ;-)
- [15:05] Oskar Linden: but all done now
- [15:06] Latif Khalifa: oh so that's over
- [15:06] Coyot Linden: /hand
- [15:06] Kallista Destiny: Woot a job well done
- [15:06] Nalates Urriah: \o/
- [15:06] Oskar Linden: there may be residual effects from that still that we don't know about
- [15:06] Sigma Avro: :)
- [15:06] Oskar Linden: if you start to notice performance oddities that are not RC specific track them and let me know
- [15:06] Kallista Destiny: to be honest I didn't see much , if any, negative impact
- [15:06] WolfPup Lowenhar: i hears there there seamed to be a couple of sims still affected by timewarp though
- [15:06] Moundsa Mayo: Yah, and Residential effects, no doubt B^D
- [15:07] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: Yes, a sim I help run has been having timewarp badly for the last couple of days.
- [15:07] Oskar Linden: if people have regions that the feel are still being affected by timewarps let us know
- [15:07] Moundsa Mayo: "It's different, WAHHHHH!!"
- [15:07] Latif Khalifa: there seem to be a lot of repors about sims having a hard time talking to the asset servers. slow or not rezzing at all. etc. wide spread over server channels
- [15:07] Coyot Linden: so I want to reiterate something benoc said about that in the JIRA
- [15:07] Oskar Linden: now that everyone talks about TIMEWARP that might become the new scapegoat
- [15:07] Oskar Linden: the only real way to know if it is a TIMEWARP is on our end
- [15:07] Pauline Darkfury: Excellent news on the OS upgrade. I've got an observation on it which is rather nice if it turns out to be true. I _think_ it may have partially or completely solved SVC-5040 (Class 7s running scripts at 1/2 speed)!
- [15:07] Flame of Jira: [#SVC-5040] Script performance dropped on regions deployed on class 7 hardware since rolling restart (12 nov 2009) https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-5040
- [15:07] Coyot Linden: This fix will cure most or all TIMEWARPs
- [15:07] Moundsa Mayo: "Let's do the Timewarp NOW!"
- [15:08] Coyot Linden: except those caused by load on a simhost
- [15:08] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: The sim that's been struggling is Quarabia.
- [15:08] Kallista Destiny: I thought that timewarp was very rare but devistating
- [15:08] Oskar Linden: so people might start to call any lag TIMEWARPS and then complain they're not fixed yet
- [15:08] Coyot Linden: exactly
- [15:08] Coyot Linden: what Oskar just said
- [15:08] Coyot Linden: was where I was going
- [15:08] Oskar Linden: yeah
- [15:08] Oskar Linden: we will be monitoring for the TIMEWARP things on our end
- [15:08] Pauline Darkfury: I'm seeing C7s with unexpectedly high script perf, seems like it's the OS upgrade, as it didn't appear to correspond to a normal roll
- [15:08] Latif Khalifa: yeah it's hard to tell what is what. was there some asset server issue over the past week or so?
- [15:09] Coyot Linden: not AFAIK Latif
- [15:09] Latif Khalifa: hmm
- [15:09] Oskar Linden: there was some maintennance support did recently
- [15:09] Latif Khalifa: i had experienced problem on my sim, but also heard a lot of reports in groups too. about not being able to rez objects. etc
- [15:09] Oskar Linden: but I'm not sure of the scope
- [15:10] Talia Malaspina: I use the listerine.
- [15:10] Oskar Linden: T_T
- [15:10] Talia Malaspina: Oh, scope...not scope.
- [15:10] Oskar Linden: that was a coyot level joke
- [15:10] Talia MalaspinaTalia Malaspina hangs head in shame.
- [15:11] Oskar Linden: haha
- [15:11] Coyot Linden: haha
- [15:11] Coyot LindenCoyot Linden likes
- [15:11] Kallista DestinyKallista Destiny fingers her dagger
- [15:11] Talia MalaspinaTalia Malaspina daggers her finger. ouch!
- [15:11] Oskar Linden: the main channel got the AIS update project and that release went smoothly
- [15:11] Maestro Linden: oh Latif, you mgiht be talking about SVC-7354
- [15:11] Moundsa Mayo: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vBHONx9vTtI
- [15:11] Flame of Jira: [#SVC-7354] Simulator fails to load notecard asset (Intan won't read config card) https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-7354
- [15:11] Maestro Linden: it affected other types of assets as well, like landmarks and meshes. probably object assets too

- [15:12] Latif Khalifa: yesterday i was unable to rez objects on my sim for hours. don't know if that is related
- [15:12] Talia MalaspinaTalia Malaspina eeps.
- [15:12] Lucia Nightfire: muting

- [15:13] Sigma Avro: spam, haha !
- [15:13] Oskar Linden: I'm not sure why Latif
- [15:13] Oskar Linden: what time was that?
- [15:13] Latif Khalifa: flip turn that spam thing off
- [15:13] Script Counter:
Total Avatar Scripts - 1508 Highest - Nicky Perian: 416 (28%) Lowest - RedMokum Bravin: 0 (0%)
- [15:13] Pauline Darkfury: One thing I'm seeing which might be a negative from the OS Upgrade, is an increased rate of regions failing to come back from restart fully, wit the "failed to grant caps" issuse. I'm just hearing an abnormal number of cases of it from a couple of _huge_ estates (250+ regions each)
- [15:13] Latif Khalifa: about 1pm sl time yesterday
- [15:13] Kallista Destiny: Great googly moogly 259 scripts?
- [15:14] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: I did restart this region the other day, and I had to file a ticket as it didn't come back up after an hour.
- [15:14] Coyot Linden: Really, Pauline? I've actually seen improvements in sims coming back after rolls
- [15:14] Oskar Linden: that would have been around when support was doing maintennance on the inv db
- [15:14] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: Er, the sim I help run.
- [15:14] Pauline Darkfury: It's very hard to say, Coyot. The rate is still low, so hard to be accurate. It just feels like there's been rather a lot of instances of it.
- [15:14] Latif Khalifa: Oskar, yes, about that time. But it lasted before and after the start of that maintanence. But who knows. Today it works
- [15:15] Talia Malaspina: Me? It's the hair. They don't have a version of this, my favorite hair, with only one script in it. :(
- [15:15] Oskar Linden: I can only assume there was some realtion Latif. I've no way of determining for certain.
- [15:15] Rex Cronon: ack
- [15:15] Coyot Linden: If you can document it somehow, I'd be interested
- [15:15] Rex Cronon: back*
- [15:15] Pauline Darkfury: It just seemed worth mentioning, in case there is some sort of issue creepign in there
- [15:15] Coyot Linden: hard to say without numbers
- [15:16] Pauline Darkfury: Yeah, if it continues, I'll try to track it in some way. Biggest problem is tracking the number of successful restarts. I hear about the failed ones, but not the ok ones.
- [15:16] Coyot Linden: tyvm
- [15:16] Coyot Linden: even a n failed per period of time would be helpful
- [15:16] Coyot Linden: along with the region names
- [15:17] Pauline Darkfury: Sure
- [15:17] Coyot Linden: I can verify the successes internally
- [15:17] Pauline Darkfury: I'll get the estate staff to track the suspected/confirmed cases of it
- [15:17] Coyot Linden: wfm
- [15:17] Kallista Destiny: Doesn't the server log shutdowns an restarts?
- [15:17] Coyot Linden: yep
- [15:17] Coyot Linden: but there are better/easier ways for me than tat
- [15:17] Coyot Linden: that*
- [15:18] Latif Khalifa: Pauline is this when after a restart you try to cross into or tp into a region and get "failed to grant capabilities"?
- [15:18] Kallista Destiny: pearl is your friend, so is awk.
- [15:18] Pauline Darkfury: Yup, that issue, Latif
- [15:18] Latif Khalifa: but otherwise region seems up, just the http server
- [15:18] Latif Khalifa: yeah i've heard increased number of those too
- [15:19] Coyot Linden: Perl is NOT my friend. :) It got eaten by a Python. ;)
- [15:19] Kallista Destiny: lols
- [15:19] Pauline Darkfury: Yeah, I'm guessing it's the HTTP server not starting correctly, which is where I figured it _might_ be related to the OS upgrade
- [15:19] Coyot LindenCoyot Linden guesses not
- [15:19] Ima Mechanique: Perl is Oz's friend, he hangs out around his home
- [15:19] Kallista Destiny: Thou shalt not over engineer a tool.
- [15:19] Latif Khalifa: well if it was only kernel and not the whole distro upgrade, unlikely
- [15:20] Oskar Linden: thanks for keeping an eye on it Pauline
- [15:20] Moundsa Mayo: I thought diamonds were a girl's best friend?
- [15:20] Coyot Linden: Exactly, what Latif said
- [15:20] Oskar Linden: moving on... both BlueSteel and LeTigre have the same project
- [15:20] Kallista Destiny: Perl and awk are pattern matching languages ueful for extracting signigicant data from large logstreams
- [15:20] Oskar Linden: it contains the EM features we talked about here last week
- [15:21] Oskar Linden: has anyone had a chance to mess with them yet?
- [15:21] Oskar Linden: agreed Kallista :) I still like perl
- [15:21] Latif Khalifa: i use bots for that :P
- [15:21] Talia Malaspina: I've never managed an estate. :(
- [15:21] Homeless: Endless Message
- [15:21] Ima Mechanique: EM! Electromagnetic?
- [15:21] Kallista Destiny: and the one that I manage is on Magnum
- [15:21] Coyot Linden: Pathetically Ecclectic Rubbish Lister
- [15:21] Coyot Linden: PERL
- [15:21] Kallista Destiny: lols
- [15:22] Pauline Darkfury: Not yet. I do have one concern with it though, there's nothing in there to prevent a trojan script from messing with the lists, and still no way to effectively audit them
- [15:22] Sahkolihaa ContepomiSahkolihaa Contepomi manages about 8 sims.
- [15:22] HomelessHomeless manages about 0 sims
- [15:22] Latif Khalifa: perl is the only programming language where the source looks exactly the same before and *after* tripple DES encryption :P
- [15:22] Coyot Linden: HAHA
- [15:22] Kallista Destiny: Here coes the man who made me use 3.1.1
- [15:22] Oskar Linden: more than likely the code on BlueSteel and LeTigre will get promoted next week unless someone finds something nasty
- [15:23] Coyot Linden: yep
- [15:23] Oskar Linden: so I hope you guys can find something nasty :-)
- [15:23] Kallista Destiny: Latif I thought that was TECO
- [15:23] Oskar Linden: if not we mght have to make some forward progress
- [15:23] Coyot Linden: HAHA
- [15:23] Latif Khalifa: lol
- [15:23] Coyot Linden: A TECO REFERENCE!
- [15:23] Moundsa Mayo: Nope, object code
- [15:23] Coyot Linden: wow
- [15:24] Coyot Linden: takes me back
- [15:24] Pauline Darkfury whispers: Is there any chance of getting the estate list manipulation wrapped in llRequestPermissions?
- [15:24] TankMaster Finesmith: object code is code you use to make objects, right?
- [15:24] Pauline Darkfury: Is there any chance of getting the estate list manipulation wrapped in llRequestPermissions?
- [15:24] Oskar Linden: I don't know
- [15:24] Pauline Darkfury: (sorry to repeat, whispered by mistake)
- [15:24] Latif Khalifa: Parcel banning functions don't do perms checks
- [15:24] TankMaster Finesmith: :D
- [15:24] Oskar Linden: I heard you Pauline :-)
- [15:24] Kallista Destiny: \Tank, no it's all those .o files
- [15:24] Oskar Linden: and I don't know
- [15:24] Pauline Darkfury: Parcel bans have a much smaller impact
- [15:25] Latif Khalifa: estate managers are supposed to be smarter too :P
- [15:25] Pauline Darkfury: Can't be smart about what a no-mod script has hidden in it…
- [15:25] Latif Khalifa whispers: i should test if i can ban myself on an estate :P well an alt
- [15:26] Latif Khalifa: lol whisper contagion
- [15:26] Oskar Linden shouts: heh
- [15:26] Oskar Linden: there
- [15:26] Oskar Linden: I broke the whisper contagion
- [15:27] Oskar Linden: as far as Magnum this week it has the same maint-server as before
- [15:27] Oskar Linden: and that's really it for updates
- [15:27] Rex Cronon: we should have a "rage shout" that can be heard over the whole sim. and 5 minutes to recharge it:)
- [15:27] Coyot Linden: well, maint-server +trunk
- [15:27] Maestro Linden: I think we forgot to mention that Magnum also has new llGetObjectDetails() hooks for reporting mesh accounting stats
- [15:28] Oskar Linden: Oskar Linden: RAGE SHOUT!
- [15:28] Latif Khalifa: lok
- [15:28] Rex Cronon: :)
- [15:28] Pauline Darkfury: Ok, with the news over, I'm sorry, but I really have to say "WTF LL? (the company, not anyone specific) Didn't you learn from the last megaprim nuke case?!?"
- [15:28] Oskar Linden: that was a support issue
- [15:28] Oskar Linden: I had no insight into it
- [15:29] Oskar LindenOskar Linden passes the buck when it can be passed
- [15:29] Latif Khalifa: god send them an earthquake to the hq :P
- [15:29] Homeless: mega prim nuke case? what's that?
- [15:29] Pauline Darkfury: Well, please feed the sentiment up the management chain :)
- [15:29] Oskar Linden: they posted about it here: http://status.secondlifegrid.net/2011/10/20/post1456/
- [15:29] Coyot Linden: ditto, not a release thing either
- [15:29] Oskar Linden: it wasn't done intentionally
- [15:29] Oskar Linden: not sure if it makes you feel better that it was an accident
- [15:29] Pauline Darkfury: Those dangerous buttons need to be taken away from people who don't know how to use them safely
- [15:29] Talia Malaspina: Homeless, we just had one about 45 minutes ago, a 4.1 just west of Oakland. heehe
- [15:29] TankMaster Finesmith: a 3.9 isn't an earthquake, its just a normal event for LA :P
- [15:30] TankMaster Finesmith: or SF
- [15:30] Homeless: hehe
- [15:30] Kallista Destiny: We don't even mention anything under 5.0
- [15:30] Pauline Darkfury: Or, at least move the button away from the extra-shot-latte button on the coffee machine! ;)
- [15:30] Talia Malaspina: True that.
- [15:30] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: 3-4 is big for us in England. xP
- [15:30] Coyot Linden: lol, Pauline
- [15:30] Homeless: 3 makes the news in Chicago
- [15:30] Latif Khalifa: 3.9 was warning to battery street not to destroy builds around the gird, again *sigh*
- [15:30] Talia Malaspina: Koli, keep it PG, will ya. heehe
- [15:30] Sahkolihaa ContepomiSahkolihaa Contepomi blinks. o.O
- [15:30] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: Oh. Now come on. >.>
- [15:30] Talia Malaspina: Oh, you meant earthquakes!
- [15:30] Kallista Destiny: 3 cause panic in the Washington DC area.
- [15:31] Grid Crash Protection Box: , you are no longer protected from the vagaries of the Grid - beware!
- [15:31] Coyot Linden: As a native of California, I don't pay attention to earthquakes under 5.1
- [15:31] Coyot Linden: those little ones are just nap time
- [15:31] Talia Malaspina: In other news: We were previous protected from the vaguaries of the Grid?
- [15:31] Sigma Avro: could heatrhquakes be iùplemented as simulators features ?
- [15:31] Latif Khalifa: but yes, "kill all prims by his creator" button at LL needs to have a tripple "Are you really really sure you want to do that"
- [15:31] Oskar Linden: WHile we have Coyot's attention he was going to talk about some redefinitions regarding sim upgrade planning
- [15:31] Coyot Linden: Right
- [15:31] Oskar Linden: for the weekly server releases
- [15:32] Kallista Destiny: ahhhhh
- [15:32] Homeless: Nice we have 64x64 so we can get rid of those 3rd party megas
- [15:32] Coyot Linden: So, on Wednesdays, I'm going to be starting a little earlier
- [15:32] Coyot Linden: somewhere around 0700
- [15:32] Pauline Darkfury: Yeah, and interlocked key switches on a big scary console thing that have to be turned by 2 people simultaneously, etc ;)
- [15:32] Coyot Linden: with Magnum
- [15:32] Coyot Linden: When Magnum is done
- [15:32] Coyot Linden: I proceed on to BlueSteel
- [15:32] Coyot Linden: and then LeTigre
- [15:32] Coyot Linden: without stopping
- [15:32] Oskar Linden: starting earlier helps us get thigns done before concurrency gets too high
- [15:32] Coyot Linden: so, the calendar items
- [15:33] WolfPup Lowenhar: but if you want any thng over 64x64x64 you still have to use mega
- [15:33] Coyot Linden: are just hints
- [15:33] Kallista Destiny: nods
- [15:33] TankMaster Finesmith: start at 2AM then :P
- [15:33] Homeless: True
- [15:33] Latif Khalifa: not only that, but there is a lot of content using them
- [15:33] Coyot Linden: the window is more like 0700-1100 PT
- [15:33] Coyot Linden: for the whole thing
- [15:33] Coyot Linden: As Oskar says
- [15:33] Kallista Destiny: You can't accurately predict when one finishes and the next starts
- [15:33] Coyot Linden: earlier is better
- [15:33] Oskar Linden: right
- [15:33] Oskar Linden: so we're giving a window
- [15:33] Coyot Linden: but I am NOT getting up at 0200
- [15:33] Coyot Linden: :)
- [15:33] Rex Cronon: i find that 256x256xN can be very nice sizes:)
- [15:34] TankMaster Finesmith: hehe
- [15:34] Coyot Linden: Exactly, Kallista
- [15:34] Oskar Linden: BS, LT, and Mag servers will be upgraded sometime between 7 and 11 on wednesday mornings
- [15:34] Kallista Destiny: I used to do a 2 AM ever first thursday of the months... I gets oled real quick.
- [15:34] Coyot Linden: ^^^
- [15:34] Latif Khalifa: Do you guys have the ability to perform grid-wide simstate rollback? >Might be useful if some governence guy gets drunk..
- [15:34] Oskar Linden: not sure
- [15:34] Kallista Destiny: Ouch.... the very thought is painful.
- [15:34] Coyot Linden: Grid wide? no
- [15:35] Pauline DarkfuryPauline Darkfury shudders at even themention of a grid-wide state rollback
- [15:35] arton Rotaru: yeah^^
- [15:35] Kallista Destiny: Disaster, beyond you wildest imagination, - OG
- [15:35] Latif Khalifa: i imagine support got a ton rollback requests today.
- [15:36] Oskar Linden: probably a good thing that we don't have a grid wide rollback button
- [15:36] Oskar Linden: just sayin'
- [15:36] Oskar LindenOskar Linden mimics Homer and says "ooooh shiny!"
- [15:36] Latif Khalifa: well there is gridwide kill switch, so disasters bigger than todays are possible
- [15:36] Kallista Destiny: That would take hours wouldne't it?
- [15:36] Nalates Urriah: haw far can LL roll back a rgion?
- [15:36] Pauline Darkfury: Yeah, much as I feel rather frustrated at yet another incorrect use of content removal tools, grid-wide rollback is worse unless the issue nuked majority of content
- [15:37] Oskar Linden: Maestro had some updates about some stuff he's working on
- [15:37] Latif Khalifa: Nal, region contents are saved periodically (once an hour?) to the asset server. What is called a simstate
- [15:38] Maestro Linden: Oh, we'll have an update to voice next week, in one of the channels. It shouldn't really change anything.
- [15:38] Maestro Linden: It's just a refactoring of some code.
- [15:38] Oskar Linden: it'll make maestro sound more mature
- [15:38] RedMokum Bravin: Any news about the possibility to return prims hanging over your land but originating on someone else's?
- [15:38] Oskar Linden: and make me sound like I know what I am talking about
- [15:38] Latif Khalifa: you can request support to rollback your region to some previous state and they will do it reluctantly if there was some major disaster
- [15:38] arton Rotaru: refactoring = I expect some bugs ^^
- [15:38] Maestro Linden: RedMokum, you mean encroachign prim return? That was added to the server a few months ago. It's enabled on mainland, I believe
- [15:38] Nalates Urriah: So, is it possible to roll back 1 day 2, a week, or just a few hours?
- [15:38] Sigma Avro: sound function in sl are a little forgotten
- [15:39] Pauline Darkfury: It's not enabled on mainland yet :(
- [15:39] RedMokum Bravin: I tried it out Maestro, as I had been away several months...
- [15:39] RedMokum Bravin: ...didn't succeed.
- [15:39] Maestro Linden: You need a newer viewer to use it though, as 1.23 and friends dont' enable the 'return' option in the UI unless the root prim is centered on your parcel
- [15:39] Pauline Darkfury: There are a tiny minority of mainland regions that do have it enabled, works fine, but Concierge/Land have not yet thrown the switch on it
- [15:39] Latif Khalifa: Nal, I don't really know how far back a region can be rolled back. Since it is on the asset server probably forever. Technically
- [15:39] Coyot Linden: If you want me to rollback your region to the very beginning (blank) I can do that. ;) It's pretty easy.
- [15:39] RedMokum Bravin: I was using the developer viewer actually. Downloaded yesterday.
- [15:40] Kallista Destiny: lols
- [15:40] Latif Khalifa: coyot, lol
- [15:40] Nalates Urriah: Oh that would help...
- [15:40] Maestro Linden: Hm, well maybe they didn't enable it on mainland
- [15:40] RedMokum Bravin: That's the place with most trash ofcourse. :-)
- [15:40] Oskar Linden: in the beginning was the void and the region was without form and coyot moved over the surface of the grid
- [15:40] Pauline Darkfury: I tested it on 1.x viewers with Andrew, it actually can work on 1.x, just needs the UI to have otherwise un-greyed the option
- [15:40] Maestro Linden: > get allow_return_encroaching_object
allow_return_encroaching_object = FALSE
- [15:40] Maestro Linden: ^ you can do this in the simconsole to read the current setting
- [15:41] Maestro Linden: oh, and apparently it hasnt' been enabled on most of mainland (yet)
- [15:41] Lucia Nightfire: no it hasn't
- [15:41] Pauline Darkfury: Yeah, it's still with Patch, last Andrew said
- [15:41] RedMokum Bravin: I hope you enable it before it has a beard. ;-)
- [15:41] Maestro Linden: Heh, I just asked Andrew and he just told me the very same thing, Pauline
- [15:41] Pauline Darkfury: Would be great if some more tech-voices could quietly nudge Concierge/Land into enabling it :)
- [15:41] RedMokum Bravin: Support is not so quick to return single prims you see.
- [15:42] Ima Mechanique: support is not so quick. period!!
- [15:42] Kallista Destiny: Even better before it's out of knee pants.
- [15:42] Latif Khalifa: wasn't "no megaprims for you!" always justified by enroachment issues. and now we have megas and tools, just not enabled?
- [15:43] RedMokum Bravin: Please keep that megaprim server online, Latif.
- [15:43] Latif Khalifa: i will :)
- [15:43] Pauline Darkfury: Yes, that's the slightly perplexing thing, Latif. It was supposed to be a blocker on >10m (which I frankly never agreed with in logic terms)
- [15:44] Maestro Linden: Gotta run for a bit
- [15:44] TankMaster FinesmithTankMaster Finesmith wants to make mega prims up to 65535 again
- [15:44] TankMaster Finesmith: tc maestro
- [15:45] Talia Malaspina: Me too. :(
- [15:45] Oskar Linden: bad idea
- [15:45] Pauline Darkfury: Take care, Maestro
- [15:45] TankMaster Finesmith: i don't care if its a good idea or not... :D
- [15:45] Oskar Linden: they are so hard to find :-p
- [15:45] Rex Cronon: at least 1024:)
- [15:45] Rex Cronon: tc
- [15:45] Ima Mechanique: what's bad Oskar, prims that size, or letting Tank have them?
- [15:45] TankMaster Finesmith: lol
- [15:45] RedMokum Bravin: As long as they don't get lost to become phantom prims that keep you out of the area.
- [15:45] Oskar Linden: goes from bad to worse
- [15:46] Oskar Linden: there's not much more I have for this meeting
- [15:46] arton Rotaru: no Falcon today^^
- [15:46] Oskar Linden: as far as server releases go we've hit most of what we planned to do this year
- [15:46] Oskar Linden: a lot of the focus now is on improving performance
- [15:46] TankMaster Finesmith: what didn't you get to?
- [15:46] arton Rotaru: since Vincent isn't here..., someone have to ask^^
- [15:47] Oskar Linden: there are still some physics changes to come up
- [15:47] Oskar Linden: but no more major projects this year
- [15:47] Oskar Linden: as far as I can tell
- [15:47] arton Rotaru: I found anather problem on DRTSIM-106
- [15:47] Oskar Linden: ruh roh
- [15:47] TankMaster Finesmith: oh, the havoc 2011.2?
- [15:47] arton Rotaru: riding a ground vehicle is very bumpy on ground surface
- [15:47] Oskar Linden: hmm
- [15:47] Pauline Darkfury: Mmm, question on OBJECT_PRIM_EQUIVALENCE and related methods. Any eta on them?
- [15:47] Coyot Linden: Remember that we don't do changes during the December holidays, so there really is not much of this year left
- [15:47] arton Rotaru: even running with the avatar is bumpy
- [15:48] Oskar Linden: I didn't think there were physics changes
- [15:48] Coyot Linden: or over US Thanksgiving either
- [15:48] Oskar Linden: right
- [15:48] RedMokum Bravin: Did you try a vehicle avatar, Arton? :-p
- [15:48] Oskar Linden: so with roughly 2 months left
- [15:48] Oskar Linden: ... this year is about over
- [15:48] arton Rotaru: no , just ran, and drove a vehicel
- [15:48] arton Rotaru: :p
- [15:49] Talia Malaspina: Were you drinking lots of alcohol when you saw this?
- [15:49] Oskar Linden: getting serious work done at a US based tech company around the holidays is just impossible
- [15:49] arton Rotaru: when I'm drunk, everything looks smooth to me, :p so no
- [15:49] Oskar Linden: too many people are on vacation
- [15:49] Talia Malaspina: heehe!
- [15:49] Oskar Linden: then lots of no change windows
- [15:49] Latif Khalifa: december is pretty much wasted :P
- [15:49] Oskar Linden: yeah
- [15:49] Leonel Iceghost: can you add more keys to the control event in these two months?
- [15:49] Oskar Linden: I should just take off now and come back in January
- [15:50] Jonathan Yap: you can work on little things
- [15:50] Latif Khalifa: hehe
- [15:50] Coyot Linden: That's good, 'cause I usually wasted during most of December
- [15:50] Ima Mechanique: december isn't wasted. it's the staff that are
- [15:50] Talia MalaspinaTalia Malaspina eeps.
- [15:50] Coyot Linden: Got there first, Ima! ;)
- [15:50] TankMaster Finesmith: well try not to break the grid again on Christmas with new viewer features :P
- [15:50] Moundsa Mayo: Any news on SVC-6255?
- [15:50] Flame of Jira: [#SVC-6255] llVolumeDetect issues single or multiple collision_start and collision_end events for linked object depending on link spacing during passage through volume https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-6255
- [15:50] RedMokum Bravin: It might your last full month of December ever... so plan it carefully.
- [15:50] Pauline Darkfury: OBJECT_PRIM_EQUIVALENCE? (DRTSIM-98, if memory serves)
- [15:50] Oskar Linden: I don't have any news Moundsa
- [15:51] Talia Malaspina: Bring on December, 2012. Let's get this over with. heehe
- [15:51] Coyot Linden: 2012?
- [15:51] TankMaster Finesmith: lol
- [15:51] Talia Malaspina: I haven't got all year.
- [15:51] Ima Mechanique: oh will that constant be getting renamed now PE is no more
- [15:51] TankMaster Finesmith: world ends in dec 2012
- [15:51] Coyot Linden: ah
- [15:51] Homeless: which world?
- [15:51] RedMokum Bravin: No, just another cycle will start.. eheh
- [15:51] Pauline Darkfury: It's not so much the name, as when the feature will get re-enabled
- [15:52] Latif Khalifa: yaeh mayans were so smart to predict the end of the world, and not their own demise :P
- [15:52] Coyot LindenCoyot Linden is a Nahua avatar, not a Mayan one.
- [15:52] TankMaster Finesmith: first world
- [15:52] TankMaster Finesmith: second world lives forever
- [15:52] Talia Malaspina: I choosing to say the world will NOT end. That way, if I'm wrong, nobody will care.
- [15:52] RedMokum Bravin: Coyots are so close to death anyway.
- [15:52] Coyot Linden: good bet
- [15:52] Homeless: I have a globe I could blow up...
- [15:52] arton Rotaru: it's on a RC channel currently Pauline, with some other flags
- [15:52] Pauline Darkfury: Ahh, cool, hadn't noticed it on RC
- [15:53] Pauline Darkfury: Thanks :)
- [15:53] Oskar Linden: I don't know Pauline. You might ask Andrew at his OH
- [15:53] Lucia Nightfire: its on magnum allegedly atm
- [15:53] Coyot Linden: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Huehuecoyotl
- [15:53] arton Rotaru: Maestro mentioned on which one in this meeting, already forgot which though
- [15:53] Oskar Linden: oh that's right
- [15:53] Pauline Darkfury: Right, my bad, just missed that bit of chat
- [15:53] Oskar Linden: it would be on magnum then
- [15:54] RedMokum Bravin: Aztecs had the same cycle, Coyot :-p
- [15:54] Coyot Linden: No, they had a *similar* cycle
- [15:54] Coyot Linden: but the dates and some other bits were different
- [15:55] Talia Malaspina: And some of the names were changed to protect the innocent.
- [15:55] Coyot Linden: heh
- [15:55] Coyot Linden: For example, the Nahua calendar starts from the discovery of the legendary Atzlan
- [15:56] Coyot Linden: The eagle on the cactus
- [15:56] Coyot Linden: The Mayan start point is differetn
- [15:56] Kallista Destiny: Du da DUM DUM
- [15:56] Coyot Linden: I forget what it was
- [15:56] Oskar LindenOskar Linden feels we should all sit around a fire at night while coyot tells stories
- [15:56] Oskar LindenOskar Linden makes smores
- [15:56] RedMokum Bravin: I'll look it up as I daily use the Tzolkin :-p
- [15:56] arton Rotaru: lol
- [15:57] Talia Malaspina: MmMm s'mores!!!
- [15:57] Oskar Linden: alright 3 minutes left
- [15:57] Oskar Linden: anything else?
- [15:57] Coyot Linden: Oskar doesn't want me to get started on interesting elements of the Nahua diet
- [15:57] RedMokum Bravin: Hmm getting hungry now... at almost 1 AM.
- [15:57] RedMokum Bravin: Thanks :)
- [15:57] Coyot Linden: hint: captured spies
- [15:57] Kallista Destiny: When i was a kid I hated Graham crackers, I out grew that
- [15:58] Oskar Linden: hint: with ketchup
- [15:58] Coyot Linden: chili peppers, actually
- [15:58] Coyot Linden: And yes, I'm serious
- [15:58] Talia Malaspina: Brr. Chilly
- [15:58] Ima Mechanique: hmmm meatballs?
- [15:58] Nalates Urriah: butter sugar and cinnomin
- [15:59] Fancy Greeter: Maestro2 Tester has arrived!
- [15:59] Kallista Destiny: Chocolate with Chili, nit sugar
- [15:59] RedMokum Bravin: Interesting day cycle here.
- [15:59] Coyot Linden: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cannibalism_in_pre-Columbian_America
- [15:59] Moundsa Mayo: ah, mole poblano - YUMM!
- [15:59] Talia Malaspina: I have a period...Morris sim has a "frequency".
- [15:59] Kallista Destiny: Fastest moving clouds I ever saw
- [16:00] Coyot Linden: Talia: TMI ! TMI!
- [16:00] Talia MalaspinaTalia Malaspina eeps.
- [16:00] Kallista Destiny: close to Mach 1
- [16:00] Ima Mechanique: I think those clouds kill my FPS on v3
- [16:00] Oskar Linden: alright everyone
- [16:00] TankMaster Finesmith: the speed of the clopud movement doesn't effect FPS
- [16:00] Oskar Linden: it's 4pm and this little linden has to get back to work :-)
- [16:00] Oskar Linden: thanks everyone for coming
- [16:00] Coyot Linden: yep, me too
- [16:00] RedMokum Bravin: Thanks for your time guys.
- [16:00] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: See you Oskar & Coyot.
- [16:01] Pauline Darkfury: Ok, thanks, Lindens, have a good one :)
- [16:01] arton Rotaru: no it's 1 AM:p
- [16:01] Nalates Urriah: thx n bye
- [16:01] Talia Malaspina: Thank guys!!
- [16:01] Moundsa Mayo: Oskar, Coyot, and Maestro in absentia, thanks for your time and all your hard work!

- [16:01] Coyot Linden: cya next Thursday
- [16:01] Lares Carter: thanks for the nice meeting
- [16:01] Ima Mechanique: in that case tank, it's just v3 kills my framerate ;-)
- [16:01] WolfPup Lowenhar: for mr av rendering is killing my fps
- [16:01] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: Midnight Friday for me.
