Linden Home is a new Premium account feature in the Second Life virtual world owned and managed by Linden Lab. We've provided it in the spirit of helping Residents own land, and it includes a ready-to-move-in home while belonging to a themed community.

Introducing Linden Homes

Linden Home regions are located in the new Nascera continent. In addition to Support access, a monthly Linden Dollar (L$) stipend, and 512m² land tier allocation, Premium accounts now include Linden Homes! Use your included tier towards a Linden Home in one of our four themed communities. Receive land for free with the home you select, ready and waiting for you to move in!

Linden Homes are for residential use only and provide an opportunity for Premium account holders to own land and a home to gain home ownership experience.

Linden Home qualifications

Premium accounts with 512m² available land allocation, also called tier, are qualified for Linden Home. This potential to hold land can be used to buy land on the mainland or a free Linden Home.

Check your available available tier from your My Account page or inworld by selecting World > My Land from the menus at the top of the Second Life Viewer.

Tip: If you don't have 512m2 available tier, you can upgrade to the next tier level on the Land Use Fees page in Your Account.

Signup for your Linden Home

New account registrations

1. Go to join.secondlife.com.
2. Complete your registration.
3. Upgrade to Premium as prompted.
4. Go to Linden Home registration and log in with your Second Life account and password.

Existing Basic accounts

1. Go to Premium Membership registration and log in with your Second Life account.
2. Follow the account upgrade process.
3. Once your account is upgraded to Premium Membership, the page will redirect to Linden Home registration.

Existing Premium accounts

1. Go to Linden Home registration and log in with your Second Life account and password.
2. View the four themed communities and home options within each theme.
3. Click on your preferred home image.
4. Name your home.
5. Read the Terms and Conditions.
6. Check the box agreeing to the Linden Home Terms and Conditions.
7. Click Submit.
8. Review your Linden Home information on the confirmation page.
9. Click Go to your Home or use the SLurl provided.

Note: Confirmation is sent to the email address used during registration of your Second Life account.

• Meadowbrook - Suburban theme with winding roads around hills in a natural surrounding.
• Tahoe - Forest theme with winding roads around hills in rustic surroundings.
• Elderglen - Fantasy theme with winding roads around hills and giant trees.
• Shareta Osumai - Traditional Japanese theme with homes nestled in picturesque areas with mossy rocks and colorful trees.

Note: If all the homes of a theme are taken, the theme won't show up in your choices. Select a home from an available theme, or check back again when more homes are added inworld for the theme you prefer.

Linden Home Infohubs

An Infohub is a place to gather and socialize. Linden Home includes an Infohub in each of the four Linden Home themes.
