- [15:05] Khyota Wulluf: puts on "emergency pants"
- [15:05] Cummere Mayo: probably related to one dan's been working on with the textures not loading right

- [15:06] Bridie Linden: nods
- [15:06] Alexa Linden: ok
- [15:06] Bambers Linden: lol - jinx
- [15:06] Object: Glod: Sarts for all!

- [15:06] Bridie Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-9974
- [15:06] Alexa Linden: When you take a pic, try checking the box Constrain Proportions. This will normally get rid of the lines. This problem only seems to happen when people are taking really large formats and setting both the width and height to custom numbers.
- [15:06] Alexa Linden: that's what I've posted on others like this
- [15:07] Bridie Linden: So is this a dupe?
- [15:07] Alexa Linden: I tested and it gets rid of the lines
- [15:07] Alexa Linden: ya
- [15:07] Bridie Linden: nods
- [15:07] Bridie Linden: Resolve as such and add your comment?
- [15:07] Alexa Linden: k

- [15:08] Bridie Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-10029
- [15:09] Squirrel Wood: I would assume there is additional code in place to avoid the dreaded inventory loss ?
- [15:09] Bridie Linden: Cummere, is this the one you had videos for?
- [15:09] Cummere Mayo: inventory no. textures one dans workign on was the one i did vids on
- [15:09] Bridie Linden: ah, rightt
- [15:10] Cummere Mayo: btw where is dan?
- [15:10] Bridie Linden: Not sure...

- [15:10] Bambers Linden: me neither...
- [15:10] Bambers Linden: when dan's around and it's quiet.... something's usually afoot
- [15:10] Bridie Linden: Have others noticed slow inventory loads w/1.21?
- [15:11] Alexa Linden: no
- [15:11] Zen Linden: i have not
- [15:11] Bambers Linden: not especially, but then I don't have anywhere near 16k items
- [15:11] Emma Roy: would it depend on the size of the inventory?
- [15:11] Bridie Linden: me either
- [15:11] Alexa Linden: what's slow if picking textures :p
- [15:11] Zen Linden: very true
- [15:11] Khyota Wulluf: dont have 16k to test

- [15:12] Bambers Linden: how long does it take to fetch all your inventory items after logging in
- [15:12] Cummere Mayo: noticably but for me not cripplingly
- [15:12] Ellla McMahon: when I clear cache maybe .. but nothing specific and not in general use
- [15:12] Bambers Linden: bridie said it better
- [15:12] Squirrel Wood: immediate if its cached
- [15:13] Alexa Linden: It's pretty much instant for me
- [15:13] Squirrel Wood: but it takes a couple minutes after clearing the cache
- [15:13] Cummere Mayo: 3-4 min at worst if services arent flatlined
- [15:13] Alexa Linden: ditto on both

- [15:14] Bridie Linden: And system, viewer and network info?
- [15:14] Alexa Linden: k

- [15:20] Bridie Linden: Yup https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-5710
- [15:20] Cummere Mayo: ty
- [15:20] Timos Albatros: from looking at that.. it looks like it has a simple workaround to me.. I may be wrong, but if it does.. seems other things should have a higher priority..
- [15:20] Bridie Linden: What's the ask for here?
- [15:20] Gellan Glenelg: it repros... but I'm not sure if it's expected behaviour.. comments seem to indicate that it wasn't always the case
- [15:21] Bridie Linden: What was your repro Gellan?
- [15:21] Gellan Glenelg: I tried to drag no transfer and no copy things into a box attched to hand
- [15:21] Squirrel Wood: That bug can be a bit annoying at times. but aren't worn "attachments" a special case ?
- [15:22] Gellan Glenelg: and got the "no entry" sign
- [15:22] Joeseph Albanese: Its been like that for 13 months at least.
- [15:22] Bridie Linden: I see
- [15:22] Timos Albatros: checking something..
- [15:22] Bridie Linden: hmms
- [15:22] Bambers Linden: can you update AOs by rezzing objects in sandboxes?
- [15:22] Joeseph Albanese: yes
- [15:22] Bridie Linden: we can ask around and find outt when/why this changed....
- [15:22] Bug Tester: points the protestors to : [1]
- [15:23] Bridie Linden: Thx Bug
- [15:23] Bambers Linden: cheers bug :)
- [15:23] Kerry Giha: I thought this was normal behavior and you had to rez attachments to put stuff in.
- [15:23] Khyota Wulluf: :D
- [15:23] Bridie Linden: continues w/triage...
- [15:23] Gellan Glenelg: me too kerry
- [15:23] Earlinde Sirnah: Ah fuck
- [15:23] Bambers Linden: (you don't hear that very often in triage)
- [15:23] Squirrel Wood: if you fully rez the item inworld you can put such tobjects in no probs.
- [15:23] MarcoDarius Kline: My purchase price was lost and lnd dumped because of there stupid rises
- [15:23] Chaley May: thats what everyone is protesting about.. that blog post
- [15:24] Bug Tester: thinks that blog post was the answer to all your protests in the first place
- [15:24] Squirrel Wood: then protest at the right place and at the right time.
- [15:24] xMarcoDarius: :
- [15:24] MarcoDarius Kline: who refunds this lindens?
- [15:24] Ellen Dressler: Chaley we are in a RL Recession and Now SL is putting us there ?
- [15:24] Lovelee Lynch: @Bug... better stop protesting then - before it gets worse??
- [15:24] xMarcoDarius: :

- [15:25] Ellen Dressler: As in Bug fixes??
- [15:25] Bridie Linden: Please see the blog for comments on Open Space issues
- [15:25] Bridie Linden: Our agenda
- [15:25] Bridie Linden: https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Bug_triage/Wednesday_Agenda
- [15:25] Sue Saintlouis: we did see the blog
- [15:25] Bridie Linden: So back to 5710...
- [15:26] Squirrel Wood: Anyway... when you wear an attachment its not like a copy is rezzed inworld but rather the object in your inventory is "worn"... at least it looks to me that way
- [15:26] Cummere Mayo: shouts: SOS MEMBERS stop disrupting please? This is an OFFICER askign you to please clamly observe the meeting and hold comments to the end!
- [15:26] Ellen Dressler: Whats the Agenda mr Linden?
- [15:26] Bridie Linden: is there a request here or is the work around ok?
- [15:26] Ellen Dressler: < confused why im here
- [15:26] Squirrel Wood: [2]
- [15:26] Gellan Glenelg: I think someone should try to find out if it was changed deliberately...is it expected behaviour or not?
- [15:26] Kerry Giha: Lemme ask, Is there some reason why no-trans and no-mod objects shouldn't be able to be copied into attachmets.
- [15:26] Bridie Linden: Squirrel, would u comment on 5710?
- [15:26] Aminom Marvin: Yes, that is an idea. Let's hold off until the end for comments. Our presence is enough to make a point.
- [15:26] Squirrel Wood: I'll comment my thoughts
- [15:26] Bridie Linden: I'll ask internally as to why
- [15:27] Garn Conover: holy crap
- [15:27] Garn Conover: just a few ppl?
- [15:27] Bridie Linden: Hiya Garn
- [15:27] Garn Conover: heya hun *nuzzles*
- [15:27] Bridie Linden: Next issue...
- [15:28] Bridie Linden: # VWR-9325[c
- [15:28] Emma Roy: Okay, on note to 5710, you can't send items into objects you are wearing if they are not full perm, however if you rez the object on the ground in a build sim, you can drag items in/out of them
- [15:28] Bambers Linden: yeah - it looks like it might be a not-too-well-noticed feature from a year ago
- [15:28] Bridie Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-9325
- [15:28] Bridie Linden: Can u add that comment Emma, thx
- [15:29] Bridie Linden: Anyone try the repro in 9325?
- [15:29] Joeseph Albanese: me

- [15:29] Bridie Linden: Really Bambers?
- [15:30] Alexa Linden: I've had this before too
- [15:30] Bridie Linden: Which OS?
- [15:30] Emma Roy: (@Bridie Done)
- [15:30] Bambers Linden: XP
- [15:30] Kerry Giha: Actually as soon as you open a notecard you made the desc steals focus
- [15:30] Bridie Linden: Bambers did u try to repro?
- [15:30] Timos Albatros: seems to me that neither the contents of the notecard or the description field have focus after I minimize and return it.
- [15:30] Bambers Linden: I followed the repro to the letter
- [15:30] Garn Conover: its Bambers he prbly scaring it to work right
- [15:30] Bridie Linden: rimshot?
- [15:30] Bridie Linden: 'to the letter'
- [15:31] Alexa Linden: lol
- [15:31] Bambers Linden: ooooh
- [15:31] Bridie Linden: joeseph, OS?
- [15:31] Joeseph Albanese: XP
- [15:31] Zen Linden: it doesn't focus on maximize, which, it probably should. Might be worth asking someone in RX
- [15:31] Joeseph Albanese: things babers if fibbin :-P
- [15:31] Khyota Wulluf: hmm
- [15:31] Zen Linden: (that repros for me)
- [15:31] Alexa Linden: I can ask them
- [15:31] Squirrel Wood: opening a notecard immediately gives focus to the desctiption instead of the text
- [15:31] Joeseph Albanese: bambaer even
- [15:31] Alexa Linden: Rx
- [15:31] Bambers Linden: let me try again
- [15:31] Joeseph Albanese: god! Bambers sorry
- [15:31] Bridie Linden: LEt's import and ask Rx
- [15:31] Alexa Linden: I'll import and send it that way
- [15:31] Alexa Linden: jinx
- [15:31] Cummere Mayo: repos for me too
- [15:31] Ellen Dressler: Excuse me when are you making a veiwer for folks who are not on updated brand new Computers?
- [15:31] Aimee Trescothick: can't load any notecards to try it :S
- [15:31] Squirrel Wood: definitely repros for me
- [15:32] Bridie Linden: Great, thx all
- [15:32] Garn Conover: oh u mean how the descritp is highlighted?
- [15:32] Timos Albatros: I made a new notecard.. typed in 'some text' - minimized it, and double clicked the little minimized 'notecard' in the corner.. neither the body of the notecard or the description have focus.. neither is highlighted..
- [15:32] Bambers Linden: repros
- [15:32] Squirrel Wood: Ellen, you have the option to reduce the graphics settings in preferences
- [15:32] Khyota Wulluf: Ellen Dressler: [3]
- [15:32] Bambers Linden: should probably be beaten with a (very very small) stick
- [15:32] Ellen Dressler: TY :)

- [15:33] Ellen Dressler: lol
- [15:33] Bambers Linden: for the record
- [15:33] Bridie Linden: Ellen, Torley has some good videos / blog posts too
- [15:33] Timos Albatros: ok.. but if I save the notecard.. then minimize and return it.. the description has focus.
- [15:33] Bambers Linden: following the repro to the record DOES NOT REPRO
- [15:33] Bridie Linden: O.o
- [15:33] Khyota Wulluf: im on 1.21.5 :(
- [15:33] Bambers Linden: exactly what I was noticing first time, Timos!

- [15:35] Bambers Linden: I'll update
- [15:35] Gellan Glenelg: well, I know Bri's connection i NOT slow
- [15:35] Alexa Linden: I see this even without clearing cache.. the general lag between gesture and sound?
- [15:35] Alexa Linden: Hooo!
- [15:35] Timos Albatros: my sounds tend to take a while to update, but I was assuming that was network congestion somewhere between my home lan and the server.
- [15:36] Aimee Trescothick: waits for the noise as everyone tries reproing ...
- [15:36] Bridie Linden: wonders if this is a dupe...
- [15:36] Squirrel Wood: yep. can't even play a gesture properly here that has more than one sound playing...
- [15:36] Khyota Wulluf: ****Howlllzzzzzzzz****
- [15:36] Alexa Linden: that was matched

- [15:39] Gellan Glenelg: certainly related to VWR-291, if not dupe
- [15:40] Bridie Linden: Let's just link for now and make note in LLJIRA for 291
- [15:40] Khyota Wulluf: originaly i marked this as linux only, but squrriel reprod it on windows so i changed it
- [15:40] Garn Conover: im so temped to do kickloop dance
- [15:40] Timos Albatros: I wonder.. I don't know the details of the ongoing changes.. but will converting to HTML traffic alleviate some of this?
- [15:41] Timos Albatros: er.. http?
- [15:41] Aimee Trescothick: that would be just TOO weird in that av Garn lol

- [15:43] Joeseph Albanese: relates maybe
- [15:43] Aimee Trescothick: "why did everyone get ejected from triage?" "We were just testing for a repro of VWR-10250"
- [15:43] Garn Conover: there needs to be a way to cancel active guestures
- [15:43] Alexa Linden: you really are ebol Garn
- [15:43] Alexa Linden: no bone for you!
- [15:43] Garn Conover: here's the end of it
- [15:44] Garn Conover: /ao on
- [15:44] Khyota Wulluf: lets test it on him!

- [15:44] Bridie Linden: squints @ Garn
- [15:44] Bug Tester: switches to an avatar with no ears
- [15:44] Zen Linden: puts headphones on again
- [15:44] Bridie Linden: Let's link those issues up...
- [15:44] Garn Conover: sowwiez hehe
- [15:45] Noctorne Nagy: I have seen that same bug with profiles via the pie menu as well. Only since the new client.. you click profile and noting.. 3 or 4 trys sometimes. Mostly in lagged areas.
- [15:45] Garn Conover: ok ive seen this bug sometimes but a lot of it is ghosting i find
- [15:45] Timos Albatros: I wonder.. I've never had to eject anyone from my land.. I have been ejected once however (was a joke by a friend =p) and all that happened was.. if I tried to do anything, I just got a popup saying "you have been ejected, etc.." or something of the sort.. all I could do was tp away from the parcel.... does that sound right? Reason I ask is.. if somebody's already in that state.. do the dialogues grey out then?
- [15:45] Joeseph Albanese: Noc there is an issue for that as well
- [15:46] Noctorne Nagy: I am saying I think they are related.
- [15:46] Joeseph Albanese: But I think it was marked as fix pending
- [15:46] Bridie Linden: Sounds worth investigating...
- [15:46] lonetorus Habilis: joes, got a url handy, that one is very anyoing, only works reliabley if you right click pie menu on a atatchment, then you get the im winddow or profile reliably
- [15:47] Joeseph Albanese: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-9065
- [15:47] Noctorne Nagy: thats the one
- [15:47] Bridie Linden: looks
- [15:47] Garn Conover: Bridie might make a note for Soft

- [15:48] Bridie Linden: 9065 was reopened...
- [15:48] Garn Conover: Soft was looking @ the jira i made about eject and ban thats on the beta server code right now
- [15:48] Joeseph Albanese: It's been bad for me the past few days
- [15:48] Object: No: more Glod Sarts for you!
- [15:48] Bambers Linden: how far away was your target?
- [15:48] Bridie Linden: Thx Garn
- [15:48] Joeseph Albanese: I never see an effect Bambers
- [15:48] Joeseph Albanese: I can be 2m away and it does it
- [15:49] Bridie Linden: We should re-open (or at least re-test) internal version of 9065..
- [15:49] Cummere Mayo: please do
- [15:49] Bambers Linden: I never see this repro
- [15:49] Noctorne Nagy: Yes distance does not seem to effect it. It is almost like some sort of throttling of events sent via the pie menu is happpening.
- [15:50] Garn Conover: hey Bridie - [5] if u think they could be linked
- [15:50] lonetorus Habilis: though you always get the profile if the right click happened on a attachment
- [15:50] Bridie Linden: Looks like we have several that should be linked up!
- [15:50] Bambers Linden: thinks bridie's right
- [15:50] Garn Conover: Metta issue!

- [15:54] Timos Albatros: don't follow.. what exactly is flycam? =p
- [15:55] Bridie Linden: we've been collecting up Space Nav issues, but haven't had the resources to fix them up as yet.
- [15:55] Garn Conover: this might be the issue where flycam gets left behind if you tp somewhere
- [15:55] Khyota Wulluf: shoulb be called freecam
- [15:55] Chaley May: i use space nav
- [15:55] Aimee Trescothick: yeah, that's VWR-4223 Garn
- [15:55] Garn Conover: this one seems related
- [15:55] Bridie Linden: So, please add your comments and repros...
- [15:55] Bambers Linden: Khyota - add that as a feature request
- [15:55] Garn Conover: i cant repo it any other way
- [15:56] Khyota Wulluf: can i do that?

- [ Show » ]]
- Tofu Linden - 04/Nov/08 10:01 AM I wouldn't worry about it Aimee, I don't think it's related to your changes, almost certainly not this one, and I'm a bit doubtful that the problem seen will repro easily anyway (it never has for me). I'm going to sync the QA'able branch up with the latest trunk fixes and resubmit it for QA.
- [15:59] Aimee Trescothick: oops
- [15:59] Aimee Trescothick: didn't mean to paste that here lol
- [15:59] Gellan Glenelg: any news on bsi nightly?
- [15:59] Bridie Linden: We do appreciate your feedback and all of the triage help!
- [15:59] Timos Albatros: hehe sl voice and linux.. I'm still of the opinion that most of the issues lie with the linux sound servers and thier many optional.. discombobulations, for lack of a better term.
- [15:59] Bridie Linden: Working on it Gellan!
