Most pages should follow the policy set out in the Editing Guidelines. Talk pages are different in nature; they are intended to be a place for discussion of the associated topic page.
Guidelines for talk pages:
- Sign your comment at the end, using four tildes (~~~~), as below:
I think those corn-starch packing peanuts are the bees knees -- ~~~~
- ...which will be transformed into:
I think those corn-starch packing peanuts are the bees knees -- Rob Linden 00:04, 24 March 2007 (PDT)
- If you are starting a new thread, use the "+" button to add it, or manually add a subject line within == signs
- If you are replying to a comment, indent it by prepending your comment with a colon. If the comment you are replying to is already indented, you can add indent levels by adding more colons.
- Place {{Talk}} on the top of pages where these guidelines aren't being followed. This will display as the following:
