The Linden Memorial Park is designed to be a permanent place for inworld memorials to disasters outside of Second Life that affect our Residents. If you would like to hold a memorial event, we have four Regions available (Highgate/Monument/Derran Moor/Winterspire) within the Linden Memorial Park.
Guidelines for memorial events
The following are the guidelines for memorial events in the Linden Memorial Park:
- Memorial events will be open to all.
- Memorial events will be PG rated.
- Memorial events will not be religiously or polictially sensitive.
- Reservations must be made in advance, and are on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Residents must include a full description of the event when applying.
- The maximum period for a memorial event is 1 day.
- Residents will not be allowed to terraform the land
- Residents will not own the land or transfer the land during the event.
Requesting memorial events
To request a memorial event, please submit a support ticket using the Support Portal. Important fields to fill in are as follows:
- In the Summary field, enter Memorial event request.
- From the Ticket Type dropdown, select Land & Region Issue.
- From the Region Request dropdown, select Memorial Request.
- Fill in any important Details.
- Click Finish.
When requesting a memorial event, please include the following:
- Details of the event to be commemorated
- A full description of the event schedule/plan
- The number of regions required for event (maximum is four)
- The date/time of event
- A list of the Residents who will be organizing the event
Note: In some cases, it may be necessary for us to request further information. |
If the memorial event is approved, you will be contacted by Groundskeeper Linden and invited into a Linden Park Memorial Event group to allow you to place objects for the event.
