The primary viewer for Second Life is Viewer 2, available on the main Second Life Downloads page. This is the Viewer that Linden Lab officially supports. You will also find the latest Viewer 2 Beta, if you would like to try out the latest version, before it is generally available as the default download for new Residents.

Second Life Project Viewers

A Second Life Project Viewer is an early release from a Viewer development team to provide a preview of one or more new features for which you can get the source code.

Display Names Project Viewer

Display Names, a new feature currently under development, separates the current Second Life name into two parts: a unique username used to log in and an editable display name that appears above your avatar. For more information, see Display Names.
