Viewer Support Policy
As described in T's March 2009 blog post, our policy is to support the newest Official Viewer, the previous Official Viewer, and the last released Beta or Release Candidate Viewer - e.g. Viewer 2 versions, Viewer 2.1.1, Viewer 2.1.0, and the last Beta version, 2.1.1 Beta.
Important Note: At this time, Viewer 1.23 remains an exception to the above-stated policy, as there are no immediate plans to deprecate it.
Deprecation Policy
Because we support only the current version and one version back, sixty (60) days after the release of a new official Viewer, the oldest Second Life Release will be deprecated. At that time, residents attempting to login using the deprecated version will be required to update to the newest Second Life Release. Should you wish to use a supported Viewer other than the newest one, download links have been provided below.

Mandatory Upgrades
Mandatory upgrades may be necessary to to correct an urgent security issue or policy change. Under such circumstances, all Residents are required to update their Viewer to the newest supported version. Off-cycle Mandatory updates are employed only when absolutely necessary.
