Mental Mentors Group Charter

Mental Mentors is not an open enrolment group, new members have to be Mentors** and invited by the group managers

Mental Mentors does not disriminate. We don't care what kind of avatar you elect to wear.

Mental Mentors is a secondary source of vital information for the SL Mentor Channel.

As responsible individuals Mentors, provide a voluntary service to the SL community at large, its only fair then, that as individuals, we treat each other with the respect we all deserve.

To ensure that this happens and to maintain the integrity of the group, the following Group Charter has been written.

1. All Mental Mentors shall have voting rights for any Group proposals.

2. Retired Mentors shall be given the option of remaining in the Mentals group. Becoming a mentor is a voluntary act, we receive no pay for it, or recognition. This clause, is recognition of the valuable service that Retired mentors have given the SL community, and the means to provide that all important link between a wealth of mentoring experience and new mentors coming through the ranks..

3. The Management of the Group will not become involved in any disputes between members. Such disputes must be handled by individual members in private IM, not in the group chat.

4. Any person, who openly slanders, harassess or victimises any group member, through either a group notice, or group chat, will be evicted from the group.

5. Group Chat is the place for asking for help from fellow group members, or a place to let off steam, providing courteous boundaries are observed.

6. SPAM is fine, providing it does not get out of hand. If it gets out of hand, the offending members may be ejected from the group.

7. Harrassment is defined as but not limited to the following:

Racial Vilification, Religious vilification, sexual harrassment, any behaviour that a mentor or management finds offensive.

8. There will only be a maximum of 25 officers at any given time. Officers may only be appointed if the owner of the group agrees to the appointment.

Should any Group Member breach any of the above conditions, they will be ejected from the Group, without any course of redress.

This Charter may be re-written at anytime
