- [15:02] Bridie Linden: Rumors are that Mac OS update helps
- [15:02] Alexa Linden: I'm doing pretty well on this round
- [15:02] Zen Linden: heard amazing rumors about 10.5.6
- [15:02] Zen Linden: and a lack of freezes
- [15:02] Bridie Linden: I'm happy that scrolling is fixed in RC4
- [15:02] Latif Khalifa: good :)
- [15:02] Bridie Linden: That's great news Zen!
- [15:03] Cummere Mayo: im crashing and if i hit esc to reset cams those two things crash me but only intermittantly.... *sighs* hard to jira soemthing that cant be cosnistant

- [15:04] Bridie Linden: So not new to 1.22
- [15:04] Bridie Linden: And only 1 vote...
- [15:04] Zen Linden: probably not
- [15:04] Cummere Mayo: this is a dupe though
- [15:04] Cummere Mayo: i cant find the orriginal
- [15:05] Bridie Linden: I'd say we leave this for now...mark w/last triaged date
- [15:05] Zen Linden: zounds good
- [15:05] Bridie Linden: vote it up if it's important to you :)
- [15:05] Bridie Linden: Next up
- [15:05] Bridie Linden: VWR-11064[c
- [15:05] Bridie Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-11064
- [15:06] Bridie Linden: Windows folks? seen this?
- [15:06] Bridie Linden: 'without any obvious cause, at random times, '
- [15:06] Garn Conover: which one we @?
- [15:06] Latif Khalifa: i've seen that when a program locks
- [15:06] Latif Khalifa: not sl specific though
- [15:06] Bridie Linden: who doesn't like a bug that starts with that? :P
- [15:06] Bridie Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-11064
- [15:06] Bridie Linden: for garn
- [15:07] Cummere Mayo: seen it yes
- [15:07] Bridie Linden: Resolve or leave open?
- [15:07] Latif Khalifa: seen it without sl runiing too ;)
- [15:07] Bridie Linden: ha
- [15:07] Alexa Linden: add a triaged date and see if we get more on it?
- [15:07] Bridie Linden: yeah
- [15:07] Alexa Linden: k
- [15:07] Bridie Linden: Next up
- [15:07] Bridie Linden: # VWR-11086[c
- [15:08] Bridie Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-11086
- [15:08] Bridie Linden: is this a dupe of our other snapshot issues?
- [15:08] Bridie Linden: ooh, new comment from Ramzi
- [15:08] Bridie Linden: let's resolve as NMI, ok?
- [15:09] Alexa Linden: ya, I would tend to say dup of the line issue that comes with large custom sizes
- [15:09] Zen Linden: yep
- [15:09] Bridie Linden: that's what i was orig thinking Alexa
- [15:09] Bridie Linden: cool
- [15:09] Bridie Linden: Thx
- [15:09] Bridie Linden: Next up
- [15:09] Bridie Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-11086
- [15:09] Bridie Linden: oops
- [15:09] Alexa Linden: I'll grab that one and tie together
- [15:09] Bridie Linden: one sec
- [15:09] Bridie Linden: VWR-10607[c
- [15:10] Bridie Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-10607
- [15:10] Squirrel Wood: /ao off
- [15:10] Squirrel Wood: Hellos!
- [15:10] Bridie Linden: Heya Squirrel
- [15:10] Latif Khalifa: is vram detection capped at 512mb?
- [15:10] Squirrel Wood: yes
- [15:10] Bridie Linden: Zen?
- [15:10] Squirrel Wood: on rc that is
- [15:10] Zen Linden: yes
- [15:11] Garn Conover: thumps his tail and leans into the scratch
- [15:11] Squirrel Wood: which leaves half my graphics cards memory unused
- [15:11] Latif Khalifa: mine too
- [15:11] Bridie Linden: Zen, can you explain?
- [15:11] Squirrel Wood: not that a gtx-280 performs any better than a geforce 7950GT
- [15:11] Cummere Mayo: mine as well
- [15:11] Zen Linden: over 512 shouldn't be needed. And I remember bao was investigating some crashes where
- [15:12] Zen Linden: some drivers weren't playing well when using more than 512, so we capped it
- [15:12] Gellan Glenelg: dupe of https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-10466 ?
- [15:13] Cummere Mayo: so why is itnot recognizing our cards with 512 or less correctly though?
- [15:13] Zen Linden: thought that was working fine on windows machines
- [15:13] Zen Linden: i'd only seen mac and linux vram detection problems
- [15:13] Bridie Linden: this is on linux
- [15:14] Soap Clawtooth: Sorry garn, fella.
- [15:14] Zen Linden: the jira you just posted
- [15:14] Zen Linden: is because we capped it at 512
- [15:14] Bridie Linden: Import? /VWR-10607
- [15:14] Zen Linden: vwr-10466 is because of the cap. I'd import vwr-10607
- [15:14] Bridie Linden: kk
- [15:15] Ellla McMahon: back to VWR-11071 is it similar to https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-3172
- [15:15] Cummere Mayo: yeah and add it -sometimes- affects windows xp as well
- [15:15] Bridie Linden: Onto next one?
- [15:15] Bridie Linden: # VWR-10614[c
- [15:15] Bridie Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-10614
- [15:15] Squirrel Wood: 11071 might be because of windlight ?
- [15:15] Alexa Linden: could be....
- [15:16] Zen Linden: very likely
- [15:16] Alexa Linden: so tie 11071 to 3172?
- [15:17] Bridie Linden: sounds like
- [15:17] Alexa Linden: k
- [15:17] Zen Linden: yeah... but also
- [15:17] Zen Linden: on that one, i seem to remember runitai saying
- [15:18] Zen Linden: that we might have to live with the limitations of property lines not working underwater... but that was awhile ago
- [15:18] Zen Linden: and I could have misheard him
- [15:18] Zen Linden: he'd be the one to ask
- [15:18] Bridie Linden: actually - that does ring a bell
- [15:18] Alexa Linden: i can ping him on that one then
- [15:19] Bridie Linden: thx
- [15:19] Bridie Linden: so now on to /back to https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-10614
- [15:19] Bridie Linden: i haven't noticed this - but I always turn UI sounds off!
- [15:19] Squirrel Wood: the usual procedure... virus scan, adware scan, driver updates, windows updates and stuff
- [15:20] Alexa Linden: same here
- [15:20] Squirrel Wood: then try again
- [15:20] Latif Khalifa: i have many problems with sound volumes
- [15:20] Soap Clawtooth: Me too, despite the fact UI sounds seem to not want to be turned off, still. But I don't think the UI sound was ever coded to be spacial (since the UI is not connected to teh camera)
- [15:20] Cummere Mayo: i can dupe this issue
- [15:20] Zen Linden: hehe. yeah, this is kind of a feature request as opposed to a bug. I think it's probably broken by design
- [15:21] Bridie Linden: and that one is linked asa dupe to 5775
- [15:21] Latif Khalifa: I have UI sounds at the lowest setting before muting
- [15:21] Bridie Linden: let resolve it as a dupe
- [15:21] Zen Linden: probably along the lines of all audio is played as a 3d position audio
- [15:21] Alexa Linden: ok
- [15:21] Squirrel Wood: UI sounds should be static
- [15:21] Cummere Mayo: lol am i the only one here that leaves them at defualt?
- [15:21] Squirrel Wood: not dopplered or anytrhing
- [15:21] Garn Conover: nope
- [15:21] Soap Clawtooth: I don't get this on my end either.
- [15:21] Latif Khalifa: the problem I have is that when I click on the button, UI sounds start full blast, then it drops to minimum level I set. But it also brings the music volume down with it
- [15:21] Soap Clawtooth: UI has always been fixed audio for me.
- [15:22] Cummere Mayo: its doplared for me
- [15:22] Gellan Glenelg: I'm with bridie: UI sounds should be muted!
- [15:22] Bridie Linden: I've had volume increase for group voice chat
- [15:22] Bridie Linden: lol Gellan
- [15:22] Soap Clawtooth: Could it be a misentepretation by various sound cards?
- [15:22] Bridie Linden: add votes to: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-5775
- [15:23] Latif Khalifa: nothing on my system has a problem with sound volumes except sl
- [15:23] Squirrel Wood: standard onboard sound here
- [15:23] Cummere Mayo: could be. ild resolve nmi and ask if they have a logitec or soundblaster card?
- [15:23] Bridie Linden: sure
- [15:23] Squirrel Wood: nmi: I have onboard sound :p
- [15:23] Bridie Linden: Next up
- [15:23] Bridie Linden: VWR-11061[c
- [15:23] Bridie Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-11061
- [15:24] Gellan Glenelg: he's upgraded drivers and says he'll report back... NMI?
- [15:24] Bridie Linden: Yup or cannot repro?
- [15:24] Zen Linden: yeah, we'll hear what he has to say
- [15:24] Bridie Linden: sounds good
- [15:25] Bridie Linden: fingers crossed
- [15:25] Alexa Linden: nmi it is!
- [15:25] Bridie Linden: Next and final for today!
- [15:25] Bridie Linden: VWR-10639[c
- [15:25] Cummere Mayo: nmi though i suspect its that he didnt kee drivers updated
- [15:25] Cummere Mayo: cuase i run fine with the same card
- [15:25] Bridie Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-10639
- [15:26] Bridie Linden: what would you all expect?
- [15:26] Garn Conover: ahh i see the issue with this one
- [15:26] Garn Conover: its ignoring the title and focusing on point behind it
- [15:26] Garn Conover: instead of locking on the name title
- [15:26] Latif Khalifa: no
- [15:26] Soap Clawtooth: I thoughht it did that anyway, garn?
- [15:26] Alexa Linden: The new behaviour is more desirable, I think.
- [15:26] Cummere Mayo: ild expect it to lock ontot he title actually
- [15:27] Latif Khalifa: it focuses half way between current cam position and the tag
- [15:27] Alexa Linden: do we agree with that?
- [15:27] Latif Khalifa: no
- [15:27] Squirrel Wood: the title is like a particle. not a solid object
- [15:27] Garn Conover: yea ive never tried using nametags myself i just use flycam lol
- [15:27] Soap Clawtooth: I always thought the title was part of the UI, rather than an in-world object.
- [15:27] Alexa Linden: k
- [15:27] Latif Khalifa: before you could move camera towards someone, getting up close to them
- [15:27] Alexa Linden: me too Soap
- [15:27] Latif Khalifa: now it stops half way
- [15:28] Soap Clawtooth: In fact im 99,9% certain its part of the UI.
- [15:28] Cummere Mayo: ild expect the title to oeprate exactly like if you camed on the avi itself
- [15:28] Latif Khalifa: well it used to work differently prior to 1.22
- [15:28] Soap Clawtooth: I think it did, but LL changed it due to various performance issues.
- [15:29] Squirrel Wood: 1.21.6 ignores title and focusses behind.
- [15:29] Bridie Linden: Is this turning into more of a request?
- [15:29] Latif Khalifa: i understand the whole picking code got rewritten, this might be an artifact that was not intended
- [15:29] Zen Linden: yes bridie
- [15:29] Cummere Mayo: yes bridie
- [15:29] Garn Conover: i believe so
- [15:29] Soap Clawtooth: Does it for me too, Squirrel. I just don't think the camera recognises the name tag as being in-world because it was never designed to be in-world.
- [15:29] Cummere Mayo: ild change it to nmi and ask exactly waht they want to see
- [15:30] Latif Khalifa: Soap, it used to work fine before 1.22
- [15:30] Soap Clawtooth: Like i said, i think LL changed it for 1.22
- [15:30] Latif Khalifa: Cummere, I believe they want pre. 1.22 behaviour
- [15:30] Latif Khalifa: i want it too lol
- [15:30] Squirrel Wood: Latif, I'm on 1.21.6 and it does not focus on the title
- [15:31] Bridie Linden: Add your comments! vote! :)
- [15:31] Cummere Mayo: no cuase they said the 1.21 behavior was worse.
- [15:31] Cummere Mayo: = In the 1.21.6 (99587) viewer the focal point was on whatever is behind your nametag. So that's worse
- [15:31] Garn Conover: Bridie i got a funny Jira for ya :)
- [15:31] Gellan Glenelg: ramzi already asked what behaviour is desirable, and moon answered
- [15:31] Cummere Mayo: i vote change to feature request and import
- [15:31] Squirrel Wood: Never change a working system :p
- [15:31] Alexa Linden: wait for votes?
- [15:31] Gellan Glenelg: ie camera should focus on av X,Y coord
- [15:32] Alexa Linden: import?
- [15:32] Bridie Linden: i think wait
- [15:32] Squirrel Wood: you'll just introduce more features :p
- [15:32] Alexa Linden: k
- [15:32] Soap Clawtooth: Maybe you could mage it a debug toggle?
- [15:32] Soap Clawtooth: make*
- [15:32] Squirrel Wood: debug toggle sounds nice
- [15:32] Bridie Linden: Well, that's 2 weeks in a row we've made it through our agenda!
- [15:32] Cummere Mayo: hehe
- [15:32] Squirrel Wood: besides, what about the setting that "hides" titles after some time ?
- [15:32] Bridie Linden: And as I mentioned...
- [15:32] Garn Conover: thats because your the one writitng it Bridie
- [15:32] Bridie Linden: RC4 expected tomorrow
- [15:33] Cummere Mayo: yay
- [15:33] Bridie Linden: (shhh Garn!)
- [15:33] Garn Conover: [1] <-- check this out Bridie lmao
- [15:33] Cummere Mayo: will there be a new pn on friday then?
- [15:33] Squirrel Wood: by the way...
- [15:33] Bridie Linden: :)
- [15:33] Alexa Linden: covers her eyes and waits....
- [15:33] Squirrel Wood: mah terraformer will likely go up for sale this weekend
- [15:33] Bridie Linden: Yay Squirrel!
- [15:33] Squirrel Wood: </blatant advertising> :p
- [15:33] Bridie Linden: Bad Squirrel!
- [15:33] Bridie Linden: j/k
- [15:33] Garn Conover: no nuts for you!
- [15:34] Bridie Linden: Ok, I'm gonna run!
- [15:34] Alexa Linden: bye all!
- [15:34] Squirrel Wood: Run, Bridie, run!
- [15:34] Garn Conover: Bridie :P
- [15:34] Alexa Linden: have a great weekend!
- [15:34] Soap Clawtooth: Cya alexa.
- [15:34] Bridie Linden: thx all for your time + energy!
- [15:34] Squirrel Wood: Have a great one too!
